Dear Tongming and Faith,…read more I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional experiences we have had at Harmony Ridge Lodge over the past five years. Nestled in the Tahoe National Forest, your lodge remains our favorite getaway and truly feels like a home away from home. Every visit is spectacular, and the service we receive is always outstanding. We especially enjoy the serene atmosphere of the whimsical gardens and the comfort of the nine spacious suites. Having access to the entire lodge--including the front lounge and the kitchen for cooking meals and hosting karaoke--makes our annual two-night stay incredibly special and seamless. We are consistently impressed by your dedication, professionalism, and hospitality. You both go above and beyond to make us feel like family, and the intimate experience you provide is unmatched. Thank you for maintaining such a safe and pleasant retreat. We look forward to many more visits and will continue to highly recommend the lodge to anyone looking for a perfect venue for weddings, retreats, or family getaways.

The staff was amazing, from the venue tour to booking, helping with any and everything the day of and just all around amazing people that work there. They cooked breakfast for our whole crew both mornings and there was not one complaint from any of our guests. Lots of drink options which I love, they have coffee, orange juice, a huge variety of tea, milk, something for everybody. The day went on without one issue, I am very type A and their response time was amazing throughout the whole process and especially on day of! I can't recommend this place enough. We also went back and stayed the night on our one year anniversary and it was covered in snow, absolutely beautiful! We were sad that Faith, the manager, wasn't there as I feel like we really connected with her last year but Michele was there who was also very kind snd accommodating.

Their communication was a step above other places and they put a lot of effort into making sure everything looks amazing for your event. I've seen the venue grow to include a built in bar and restrooms, bridal suite. Being a vendor since they started, it's nice to see infrastructure upgrades to include those amenities. Thanks for making my job run smooth every time.

It was fun seeing the crawfish and the fish swimming in the water! Also like the little store they have in case you forget something and are in a pinch. It also has ice cream! Would go again. signal was pretty good as well

I fell in love with Brookshire Gardens years ago when scouting locations for a corporate holiday…read moreparty. I've grown up here and love that the venue included one of the area's most historic homes. So I knew as soon as I became engaged, that I wanted to get married here. The ceremony site is simply gorgeous with its canopy of walnut trees and ivy covered arch; we only added a bit of decor to the start of the aisle as it was perfect as is. Booking a year in advance, didn't think we would have weather issues in late May but we ended up having to deal with a rainstorm. Kurt and Nina were awesome and let us set up tents last minute the Friday before so that they were ready to go on the big day. They even provided a pop-up tent of their own to cover our DJ. Even though we had to limit our decor to the minimal covered areas, our wedding was still the perfect day we had always dreamed of. Brookshire was reasonably priced (especially as it comes with all tables and chairs), spacious with a great layout that easily flows from ceremony to reception, naturally gorgeous (i.e. minimal decor needed and numerous photo ops), and close to town to avoid travel fees, yet still feels private and remote. Kurt and Nina were so sweet and easy to work with, you could tell by their enthusiasm that day that they truly love what they do. They were so helpful and also very prompt in returning our security deposit. Thank you for being a part of our forever!

While it's a bit of a distance to the actual venue, it was well worth it for the quiet, calm and very relaxing environment. Beautiful property and I wish I had time to use the pool outside. We stayed in the Bella Vista honeymoon suite. I loved it. It allowed my husband and I to talk. There's a calming and clarifying vibe to the room and the place in general. Spacious, clean, and comfortable. I would stay here again if I was in the area 100%. I think about this place from time to time. I actually miss it!

Of course as others have noted the breathtaking view, the multiple spaces and after party but some standout things were just how professional the staff were in putting and keeping it together. They have a finely tuned system. They provide special meals. You know that one vegan guest? He was happy. They were able to run the whole weekend on generators. No power at the Airbnb or in town but the wedding went off without a hitch. FOB was so impressed and happy with the whole event. Guests seemed pretty blown away by how extensive it was. The food just keeps coming. I wish they would contract with the person paying, in this case the parents of the bride not insist on the couple who aren't actually spending the money. All in all it was exactly the wedding experience we wanted and offered so much more than others we looked at. I'm impressed by their contingency plans and that didn't really come through on the tour or meeting.

We came upon this place purely by accident and we were so glad that we did. First off the venue is awesome with all its old world charm along with the wedding site which is phenomenal. The fact that we had the entire venue including the hotel for 2 days was unheard of at the time. It allowed my family and close friends to spend 2 days celebrating with us which was unforgettable for all of us. We had a on site get to know the venue with several other potential wedding seekers and let me say we tasted great food and drinks at the event. The owners celebrated with us all and let me say the drinks were flowing to the point that the potential wedding folks were serving our own drinks and it was a fantastic atmosphere which sold us on this venue. I had a wedding party of 80 people and it was flawless, food was excellent and we partied till 4 am in the morning. We had several little one and with the PlayStation, Wee and other games they were all very happy and occupied throughout the evening. The only thing that was upsetting was that there was a group of town folks who didn't like the fact that we were people of color and they came into town flying a confederate flag. With that said we really had a blast and my family and friends to this day say it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to which we agree it was. Thanks
