    My daughter's wedding was here last weekend and I can't recommend it enough! The ceremony site is gorgeous and the lodge is super fun! The staff were all amazing- but I must give a special shoutout to the bar manager Trever who became everyone's new best friend. People were still talking about him by name two days later lol. Most people that attended are saying it was the best wedding they've ever been to!

    My favorite moment is when I deliver the bridal bouquet. I like to think I have listened intently and have a good grasp on heartfelt wishes.

    We had the priveledge of providing wedding flowers for our amazing bride and groom, Andria and Kevin at their chosen venue, Forest House Lodge. This was my first time at Forest House Lodge and I am absolutely blown away at the facilities, service team, management team, venue assets and truthfully the style of the entire place. A wedding at Forest House is more than just a great party. There are spectacular hotel rooms for guests, an amazing speak-easy basement filled with activites for entertainment. Gorgeous patio surrounded in wisteria. The kitchen is first rate with full food service options and sunday brunch for guests. Our couple were able to select every decor item they could ever want from the free selection offered by the venue. The staff were incredibly professional, all knew exactly what their responsibilities were and all were so polite and helpful when asked questions. Our flowers looked spectactular out at the stunning ceremony site overlooking the American River Canyon and equally spectacular in the reception areas. I truly look forward to our next weddings already scheduled at Forest House. If you are looking for a venue that can accommodate every wish, this is the one.

    I cannot emphasize enough what a great choice it was getting married at FHL. We opted for a winter two-day package, and can't rave enough about the experience and memories we made there. My guests are still recovering from the fun (nearly two weeks later). The staff was attentive, fun, and highly experienced in all the ins and outs of wedding planning. As a type-A personality, I was worried about my wedding vision coming to life as we neared wedding day, but our coordinator, Clara, listened to my vision, responded to my millions of emails, and ultimately provided me with a wedding day even better than I could have curated in my own mind. I have yet to see another venue that offers couples the opportunity to host a rehearsal dinner, rehearsal after-party, wedding day (at the most beautiful ceremony site imaginable), wedding reception, late night after-party, lodging for you and your guests, all the food and drinks (throughout the two days), in a lodge entirely booked and committed to you and your wedding. Forest House Lodge truly provided my husband and I with the best day of our lives. The memories will last us a life time and then some. Book Forest House Lodge... you won't regret it!

    I cannot say enough good things about Forest House. They delivered the wedding of our dreams for my daughter. The service we received from ALL the staff, from the manager that drove to Sacramento to retrieve a lost bag, to the person that cleared our plates at dinner and cleaned up our spills on the dance floor was 5*; our guests commented on it for weeks. The food was some of the best I've ever had, and the cake was stunning. Jennifer and Clara held our hand through everything, knew about things we would never think of, and their experience and patience and "you bet!'" attitude made for a stress free, magical day for our family and guests.     We had our wedding here 8/05/2022 after multiple postponements due to COVID and I cannot begin to express how wonderful the entire team here at FHL is. From our first tour with Jennifer to the amazing tasting with the Chef and the big weekend with our coordinator Shaye, we were lovingly handled through what can be an intense and long process. First, we chose to have our wedding here because we wanted to maximize time with family and friends, have amazing food, and be surrounded by breathtaking views. This place hit all the marks and then some. We booked the Friday night wedding package and were able to spend so much time with our guests starting Thursday night at the rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks and ending with Saturday breakfast. The team at FHL are true professionals who know how to throw one hell of a party. If you are looking to have an unforgettable wedding please take a tour and consider booking here.     Such a beautiful venue, the ceremony spot has an amazing view that creates an absolutely stunning backdrop. The building for the reception is the perfect combo of beautiful and fun. The patio lit up with twinkle lights is so pretty for dancing and bringing the after party downstairs to the themed rooms with games was even more fun. Dinner was also delicious and everything ran perfectly on time. Big shout out to Shaye and her team, I can't wait to work with Shaye again.

    We got married here on May 2nd, 2021 after unfortunately postponing our wedding in July of 2020. All I can say is that it was 100% worth the wait. We had Tuana as our wedding coordinator and she was so attentive and made our vision come to life; I told her I wanted simple decor with a vintage touch and it was everything I ever dreamed of. We chose not to have flowers at the ceremony site because it's already so beautiful, and I'm so happy we chose to do that - the ceremony site looked absolutely amazing with barely any decor! Huge shout out to Trever, the main bartender, and Jaxson also who made sure our guests had all the libations they needed to have a great time. We got so many compliments on the bartenders throughout the night and weeks afterwards. Make sure you tip well, they deserve it. The food was amazing, although my husband and I barely ate because we were too excited to see our (almost 150!) guests, we got so many compliments from our guests about how great the food tasted. Their menu is huge and they are very accommodating for people with allergies or dietary restrictions. Two of our guests were vegan, and when I saw how huge and delicious their meal looked, I was so happy we could accommodate them! Everything was so organized and I never felt stressed out. Tuana even did my bustle after the ceremony and had Advil waiting for me back at the lodge after our picture taking because my back was really killing me. The little 20 minute "alone time" session you get with your brand new spouse was amazing, we got to relax, have a drink, and eat our cocktail hour appetizers. It was really special. We never once felt rushed to do anything and like I said before, WE NEVER FELT STRESSED! Which was so important to me because I get stressed out very easily. The whole entire day just went so smoothly. I also have to comment about the price. For what you get, the value is amazing. We wanted to try to keep cost somewhat down so we decided to do a Sunday wedding, and it was worth every penny. You not only get the whole entire venue, you get an amazing view at the ceremony site, a wedding coordinator who caters to your every need and vision, a delicious cake, all of the food for the wedding including "midnight drunk snacks", the start of a bar tab, and so much more. I honestly cannot give enough recommendations for this place. I really appreciate everything FHL staff, especially Tuana and Trever, did for us for our "Covid wedding" and how special they made us feel. Shout out to the chef also - his cooking is amazing!     We are so glad we chose Forest Hill Lodge to be the venue for our 2020 wedding. Our first impressions are friendly staff (expect everybody to welcome & smile at you while you're here!), beautiful deco, perfect forest-theme location and most importantly an all-in-one package. The full wedding coverage was so crucial for us, because we did not have to worry about catering, venue, cake or million other things, unlike other places. A big shout out to Tuana Hunt, our wedding coordinator. I could not believe how ours could turn out to be without her being there on the day. She took care of everything; we were nervous at first but become relaxed because we were in good hands. She is the sweetest, most hard-working and understanding coordinator ever. Watching her running around with sweats on her forehead, making sure everything going as planned, we could not be more grateful. Yes, I totally recommend Forest House Lodge. If you want a forest-themed wedding, you come to the right place. If you get to pick your coordinator, we highly recommend Tuana. She is the best.

    I can't speak enough about how wonderful this venue is! We were recently married at the venue and it was literally our dreams come true! From the first day we met with Julie, we were hooked! Julie answered our questions and took us around the lodge. She is amazing! Then we met with our wedding coordinator, Tuana! There's not enough words to express how amazing this woman was! She helped me along the way, was so easy to work with, and most importantly saw my vision and made it work! The bar and the bartender are incredible as well! Food amazing! Wedding site.....a view you can't get at most places! The only one negative I have is that the water was cold and hot. So with that said remember it's a historic lodge. Either make it quick or when it's not the busy shower time! You will not be sorry booking this venue for your wedding! Trust me!

I booked the place, I received texts regarding what my door code would be and a link to book early and/or late check in/out, pet fee. A dog friendly place was necessary for us. Keep an eye out for a Miner's Camp sign to find the place. Drive through and park at your cabin. One of them has handicap parking.. We had a great stay. The place was clean with the exception of some spiderwebs and dust. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash were fixed in the shower. Decent water pressure. There were extra towels in a drawer, a couple makeup remover towelettes by the sink, an extra roll of toilet paper. The kitchen had a small fridge with a small freezer area, stove, oven, utensils, pots and pans. I do, however, wish there were more garbage cans. There was a small one in the bathroom and a small one in the kitchen. The sitting area on the porch was great. The TV in the living space was nice as well. Across the street was Brew Master's Deli-- note their hours. Worton's Market (a popular supermarket with a view) is 3-5 minutes away. We would definitely stay again.

We rented the Hall for my sister's baby shower, and my sister has rented it for other parties as well, and we have been most pleased with the venue. A great, inexpensive option for large events. Be prepared to leave the place just as sparkling clean as you found it, after all, that is the courteous thing to do.

Brain (the manager) is a train wreck to work with. After picking our date and making our phone call to book and going over everything Brian sent us a contract with a price we never agreed upon. I had to beg to even get a contract drawn up because Brain kept calling trying to book another party on our date and move us. I had asked for a contract since we picked our date in August and barely got one first week November. Brain just wanted us to lay down a down payment without anything on paper originally and I begged and begged for something written on paper. Weeks later he sends an email and the price is 5K higher than our agreed upon. I had tried to text multiple times about the contract not being what we agreed upon and had been ignored for two weeks. I had even contacted Amanda (the grounds supervisor) trying to get this fixed after being ignored by Brian but per her Brian is the only one who has control over any booking and any financial portion. I even reached out by email to Bran and was ignored with no response there as well. Trying to book this venue has been such a negative experience and sadly I would never recommend this location to any one for ANY event. Over the phone Brain told us we are 'family' and would treat us like so but he has treated us so poorly. We had been working for almost two months trying to book this venue. It truly is a shame as this would be a meaningful location for me since I was raised in these mountains and grew up riding horses through those canyons. It is disheartening the way they run their business and how they treat people. My fiancé and I both work in public service during the pandemic (he a firefight and I'm an ICU nurse) and this how we've been treated by this business. We are taking our hard earned money and business elsewhere and I would recommend ANYONE looking at this venue to do so as well.

She was incredible from start to finish. I had my twin infant babies with me, and Taylor made sure the bridal suite was fully prepared so they could stay with me the entire day. She provided hot water for warming bottles, put up a sign to ensure privacy, and checked in constantly to make sure we had everything we needed. She was always kind, attentive, and went above and beyond in every way. Working with her was an absolute joy, and she truly made our wedding day run smoothly. The only cons we experienced: * Transportation: When we booked the venue, we were told getting Ubers wouldn't be a problem, especially since we opted for the open bar. On the night of our wedding, some of our guests weren't able to get an Uber back to their hotel in Auburn. Thankfully, the security guard was kind enough to drive them back since they were the last guests without a ride, which we deeply appreciated. * Food selection: While the venue offers a lot of menu options, you're limited to tasting only what's served at the Wedding Extravaganza. They mentioned these events happen twice a year, but even though we booked our wedding more than a year in advance, we were only invited to one. Because of that, we had to choose dishes we weren't able to taste, and the options we did try at the extravaganza weren't great. * Cake: The vendor partnered with the venue provided a very dry cake, so we would suggest couples consider getting a cake from their own preferred bakery. * Contact: It was sometimes difficult to reach the venue by phone, as calls weren't always answered, though emails were always responded to promptly. Despite these issues, our overall experience, especially thanks to Taylor, was truly wonderful. The venue itself is breathtaking, and the support we received on our wedding day made it feel magical. We would absolutely recommend this venue, particularly for couples who want a beautiful location and a coordinator who genuinely cares and goes above and beyond.

I have to say, however, in addition to the quality of their work, they are amazingly effortless to work with. Because of our scheduling, we didn't even see the crew, but everything was completed above and beyond our expectations BEFORE we expected it, and the breakdown and removal were the same. I think she might have some expert ninjas working for her... Since the beginning of the pandemic, it seems that we have all had to learn to be patient with companies struggling with staffing and supply issues, but Erica and her team presented both exceptional quality AND service. 10/10 would recommend with NO HESITATION!

    Judi was our wedding planner. We worked with her for about 6 months. She was very focused and…read moredetermined during our phone meetings and preparation leading up to our special day. We knew going into this will be a tough assignment for not only our vendors but specifically for our planner, Judi. My wife asked multiple times if Judi and her husband will be able to complete the task because there is only two of them running the show. Judi insisted and stated that they'll be able to get the job done. I am not a planner nor is trying to be one, but I think it will be best to have more people on your team to be able to deal with 140 guests, rather than just 2. A walkie talkie or a communication device would've also been helpful. Especially when my wife was looking for Judi. Her husband was her assistant. We saw him help out the caterers. It would've been more helpful if he helped Judi by helping the guest or directing the guest to their appropriate places. Another issue prior to the ceremony was about 3 days prior. Judi miss calculated and informed our venue owner that our family members were going to help clean up/breakdown after the ceremony is over. We did not tell her that our family will help the post party cleaning up. We had to scrounge for a cleanup crew 2 days before the ceremony, which was very stressful. Our wedding is a nontraditional wedding. The wedding will have a small private ceremony consisted of about 30 to 40 family members and close friends. The rest of the guests will arrive at a later time after the ceremony to enjoy the wedding reception. During our wedding reception, we specifically informed Judi that our wedding ceremony will be a small ceremony that consisted of immediate family and close friends. Judi, my wife, and I all agreed that if anybody who shows up uninvited to the ceremony will be escorted out, we also agreed that if for any reason the other guest arrives early, there will be a tape or the gates will be blocked off for anybody who comes in early prior to the reception. Once our small ceremony ended. Some of our family and friends that arrived saw us coming down from the ceremony area. The gates or the pathways were supposed to be blocked off or sectioned off so that way the rest of our guest who were not invited to the small ceremony will not be offended. There were people that were not supposed to be at the small ceremony and they got through. We felt that Judi did not direct the guest appropriately. Judi also did an occular visit at the venue back in April so we expected she was familiar with the venue. My wife even insisted for Judi not to help her with changing her wedding dress, so that way she can focus with the reception. Few things that we also did not want to see you during our ceremony was the lack of communication between emcee, DJ, and the planner. They all seem confused. Few instances Judi was hard to get a hold of. Her cell phone was turned off. My wife had myself run to Judi so that 2 of our invited guest can be seated. They drove all the way from apple valley (8hrs away) They stood there for a bit before I pointed out that they were invited. Their names were on the seating chart. There was not enough space for them to sit down. The seating chart that we agreed on was not the same one on the day of the wedding. We also noticed some a few things that were not supposed to be at the ceremony. Fake flowers that were not supposed to be in a spot where it did not belong. We only borrowed her bathroom signs, favors signs and dessert stands. Flowers were fake flowers that were not instructed to add since we ordered fresh flowers. Also, things were added to the ceremony which were not discussed. We also did not like the finger pointing by Judi and MC. This shows denying responsibilities during the ceremony and reception. Judi looked very stressed during the ceremony and reception. Her mood was obviously different from our previous phone conversations.There were only 15 people watching the video at the cocktail table. The guests were in the 3 tables at the arbor side. My wife and I agree at one of the comments that the bride made on these reviews. We initially did not want to create a review, but we asked Judi if she can talk to us. She sounded avoidant. We also felt like she sounded very sweet and want us to hear what we want to hear. The games were a success. We know this is a small business. The venue has 3 tier sections and its non- traditional. The number of assistance Judi only had was her husband. Judi and her husband was no match for 140 guests. We felt that our day was very disorganized. The games were successful. We don't want to give a bad review. This is not to discredit or insult or disrespect their business. My wife and I just wanted to express our experience with them.

My problem was I had no idea if I'd have 30 or 100 guests and I just moved here and had zero connections and a few bad experiences with local companies not calling back. Not long after I handed the planning over to someone who lived 3 hrs away and hoped everything would fall into place. When I went to her showroom months later to pay Genice spent time showing me all the treasures she had to throw parties from vintage crystal luncheon trays to mismatched silverware. I could tell she was someone that truly loved helping others figure out what they like and then gets joy out of helping them make their dreams come true. The night of my birthday party Genice and her team were hired to help serve and clean up. But Genice went beyond this... Several times she was seen scooping someone up by the arm and leading them to the dance floor. She wanted to make sure everyone was having fun. She helped me be a better host which was so unexpected. She has a contagious smile and a warm personality. She has chosen the right business and I wish her all the success in the world. I would definitely give Genice a call or text if you're planning a party of any size and prepare to be impressed!!

She made sure i had everything and kept it organized. We had a great time laughing and keeping things light so there was no stress. I recommend her services and rentals for any event. Also The air conditioned bathroom we rented for the event was absolutely amazing. They supply it all. Cant wait to come up with another event so i can work with her again!!
