We took day trips to Grass Valley and Placerville and had an amazing time. Spent the last half of our last day there sitting outside, looking at the views and enjoying the sunshine. The owners are amazing... They delivered breakfast to our doors each morning and boy were they delicious. I am definitely bringing my husband back so that he can enjoy this place and the surrounding areas as much as I did.

While it's a bit of a distance to the actual venue, it was well worth it for the quiet, calm and very relaxing environment. Beautiful property and I wish I had time to use the pool outside. We stayed in the Bella Vista honeymoon suite. I loved it. It allowed my husband and I to talk. There's a calming and clarifying vibe to the room and the place in general. Spacious, clean, and comfortable. I would stay here again if I was in the area 100%. I think about this place from time to time. I actually miss it!

Her stand for environmental stewardship is an inspiration. The land was splendid, as were the sunrises. We took several turns around the hiking path and enjoyed taking family photos on the lovely patio, with the Villa's stunning architecture as our backdrop. The breakfasts during our stay were a nourishing and artful three courses with seasonal and organic morsels. I also loved that check-in is at 2:00 (instead of the increasingly common 4:00!), and the electronic check-in was incredibly easy - no need to meet anyone, just use the provided code to access your cabin. They've also put a lot of thought into the property. There's a really nice common area with chairs, a fire pit, and games, and the cabins have TV and Wi-Fi. The only downside was the cooling unit in our cabin (unit #7). It worked great when we first arrived on a very warm day, but later started making a terrible squealing noise and stopped cooling properly, so we had to turn it off. The cabin got pretty warm, and unfortunately only one of the windows had a screen, so opening the others would have meant inviting all the local bugs in to spend the night with us. Other than that, we really liked Miners Camp and thought it was a charming, thoughtfully put-together little place. We'd definitely stay again - hopefully with a happy cooling unit next time!

She then proceeded to keep two nights stay and only refund the rest. This is not good customer service and is not acceptable. Not a place I would recommend for guests to stay in Placerville. There are many other options with higher standards of quality than this. Enjoy the picture of what was above their heads while they attempted to sleep all night.

From the second we walked up from the private parking lot to the Victorian Mansion we were warmly greeted by owner and operator Alfred.  We both felt welcomed and overwhelmed with the beauty of this home. Alfred made us feel like a family member and gave us a tour of his beautiful home and it's history. Power's Mansion is adorned with so many antique pieces and trinkets that you might initially mistake it for a museum. Each of the rooms have a theme; we had the lighthouse room which was fully decorated in the lighthouse theme. The breakfast was hearty for travelers with tons of carbs, and I loved their quiche. Alfred sets a beautiful atmosphere with music and lighting. We were treated to outstanding hospitality! Alfred went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. His stellar recommendations to visit the iconic parks and sights in and around Auburn were greatly appreciated. We met inside where Bonnie checked us in real quick. Then we got a tour with Bill. He is sooo super friendly and kind. Just a genuinely nice host. Some people act nice but it is professionally cordial. I didn't feel that with Bill, or Bonnie. (Sorry don't mean to leave her out ) Bill gave us great recommendations for wineries and we were able to wine taste with fee waived at 2 wineries we visited. We also got discounts on wine! The places were so chill and relaxing. Beautiful, quiet, relaxing, just what we wanted. I texted Bonnie a few times and she always got back to me super fast. Bonnie also is a wonderful baker and she made a super nice breakfast each day. Bill would refill your OJ and tell you to have a seat as he got coffee refills. When Bonnie was done cooking she came out and then I got to pick her brain about our meals. I love talking food . She was really nice as well and easy to talk to. They are literally around the corner from Abels Farms and are right in the heart of apple hill. Both wineries were no more than a mile away. Rooms are decorated very cute, with different themed rooms. All the amenities are there. Robes and slippers in the closet, a hot tub in a gazebo, and the room was nicely renovated with quality materials used. Super great stay and I recommend them highly.
