They were given a very short turn around time, but that did not deter them from the task. From the planning, to the tasting, to the day-of, they took such great care of my parents. Everything went so smoothly from my first inquiry email to the day of my wedding. Although my contact person switched 2-3 times throughout my planning process, every person I talked to were able to pick up seamlessly with where the previous person left off. They were also very patient with me. I switched my mind on a few things on different occasions last minute and they were able to accommodate my needs. I started off with a taster box. I wasn't able to try the food until a few hours later (so the food was cold) and it was still so delicious! It was an easy decision to go with THT for my wedding. My wedding food was AMAZING!!! To give you some context, I am a professed foodie. I have been traveling for over 25 years where my work gave me the luxury of dining at Michelin rated restaurants around the world. My favorite Netflix show is 'the Final Table' aired in 2018, and my favorite chefs are Grant Anchatz of Alinea and Anne-Sophie Pic of France to put it into perspective. The Hidden Table's value prop is simply "Real-Time" Farm to Table elegance with flavor. The catered food is cooked at the venue in real time versus pre-cooked the night before like most catering services. The boutique service aims for quality in food and service over quantity and mass marketing. During my wedding, Robert my official assigned coordinator ensured that the food and set up met my expectations and the details I requested were in place, along with the two bar tenders and service waiters to handle guests needs. The owners Chef Russ and Linda, who did not need to be on hand at the wedding, along with Ritzy, were extremely attentive and detail oriented throughout my six months of planning, as well as super honest, which I appreciated, as to the food details, menu and catering choices. I originally wanted plated but then switched to buffet after the recommendations, which was a hit at the wedding. My wedding centered around the food, dancing, and decor, as those are my three key requests. Appetizer: Charcuterie Board (Cheese and breads), Tomato Bisque Shooters, Pear & Brie Crostini's, Hummus & chopped olives crostini, & Mixed greens. Main Dishes: Butternut Squash Lasagna with Sage Brown Butter sauce, Grilled Rosemary & Lemon Chicken, Grilled Angus Tri-Tip, and Miso Glazed Salmon with Creamy Garlic Mashed Potatoes. If I could leave 10 stars I would! We just had an amazing day catered by The Hidden Table for my parents 50th wedding anniversary celebration! Manager Mark, Chef Christina, Bartender Robert, and Assistant Joaquin, were all so kind, professional, organized, flexible, fun and all-around awesome. The guests were all impressed with the food, service, and also the fabulous presentation of it all. Everything was fresh out of the kitchen, tasty, and beautiful. The number one thing to mention is that all of this came together in under 1 week. We had a whole other event planned, but due to the Caldor Fire, my sisters and I had to change the whole thing. Last Saturday I called multiple caterer's and Chef Russ with The Hidden Table was the only one that said they could help us out. They came up with a menu, took care of ALL OF THE RENTALS (what?!), and were able to have an entire staff available to come to our place (over 60 minutes away) to feed and serve 40+ people. I know after calling many, many other places that we wouldn't have gotten this level of service and care from anyone else. Being able to celebrate my parents and this huge milestone, with their closest family and friends, when all our plans fell through last minute due to Mother Nature, was the best gift we could have given them. Ive been dreading writing this review because I have to dredge up the negative experience that I had with this company. I am the mother of the bride and we chose this caterer for my daughters wedding this year. Food was the MOST important part of the reception and my daughter and I are self proclaimed Foodies. We were willing to spend the bulk of the wedding budget on really great food. Which this did cost as much as a down payment on a house. But that was okay with us as long as we got what we paid for! First of all I was very disappointed in the appetizers. We had explained in our pre-wedding tasting that we wanted a large grazing table for our guests, (5-6' long) what we got was a small corner table with very little charcuterie items and some crackers?!?! I had 80 people at the wedding. It ran out in 10 minutes. When I asked for more crackers the wait staff said no because the app hour was almost over but it had only been about 20 minutes!?!? And there was still some cheese and guests were still eating. The "grazing" table was a BIG let down and scant at best. We also chose a selection of 3 apps that were passed out. One of them tasted like tuna on toast. I guess it was supposed to be a crab app? It was not good. Then we moved onto the dinner. One problem with dinner was that we were receiving our Starter without having our wine poured yet! The wait staff was either slow or unorganized. I finished my starter before having a drink. Then once I got my glass of wine, I never got a refill, that was it. Had to drink water with my dinner. Next problem was after the Intermezzo which was a sorbet/Prosecco palette cleanser, it took 30 minutes to get the entre! It was just so unacceptable! The guests started getting up from their seats and wondering around! Finally the Main came out, first of all the Miso Salmon was very good, unfortunately only 21 of my guests chose that. The bulk of our guests chose the Filet Mignon. When I had this at our tasting, it was perfectly cooked, and cut like butter. I don't know what this meat was? It was tough with gristle! And it was a bit spicy, It wasn't at the tasting! I even asked my family's table how it was and they said the same thing. So it wasn't just mine. It tasted like round steak, not filet. Also the veg was practically raw. It was terrible. Such a huge let down! I would never recommend this caterer in a million years. NOT worth the money. By the way, our wedding planner discussed our concerns to Chef Russ and his wife a week after the ceremony in May. I've never heard back. read more

We cancelled our event beyond 250 days before the event which their contract states is a full refund minus 1k and they refused to give the money back. This is how Russ and Linda do business- bring you in for a nice tasting, open your wallet, and if anything happens they won't even honor their own contract and encourage you to take them to court instead just to watch you front the money for an attorney. Well I never received the proposal, and I even emailed him a few times to check in. I did however, receive an advertisement from their company a few weeks later with a personalized message about my "future wedding" and an invite to have a consultation (which I had already had) I responded to that email explaining that I had already had the consultation and never received the proposal or heard from them again. I booked the Hidden Table for an impromptu Christmas work party and was pleasantly surprised. The whole team was very helpful and understanding throughout the entire process even though I booked only a month in advance. They seemed to be well staffed and everything ran according to schedule. The bartender was outstanding and even helped one of my coworkers throw together a gag gift for our white elephant. The food was amazing and the presentation was beautiful (their charcuterie board is a work of art). I heard so many of our guests loved the seabass with the miso glaze and the tri tip was so tender, there was no need for knives. Another compliment I received is that everyone's food was hot! We did not have to wait for everyone to be served which was a problem at our last catered event.
