Superfood Salad
Justin S.

I've been to this location a couple of times and the service and food has been on point. Today I ordered the Superfood Salad and the Jacks Urban Fries well done. The Salad tasted fresh and I like how they gave me half an avocado! This salad could be served as an entree or split between 2-3 people. The fries also tasted great! Fresh and hot! Overall I would recommend this place. I came on a Sunday lunch and it was busy, yet the service was fast!

Chinese Chicken salad

I had the Chinese Chicken salad. The plumb vinaigrette is weak and the specialty salad place doesn't have miso. The salad was fresh, service was prompt. Just weak on their salad dressing choices.

Yummy for my large tummy. Lol

Always a pleasure to eat well prepared food. The staff is genuinely very friendly, and the restaurant is clean.

Spicy Buffalo Sandwich

I enjoy visiting jack's for a quick & simple salad, and it's been a go to spot on my list for years now. +Build Your Own Salads which comes with greens of choice, 6 toppings, 2 dressings, & optional protein. For a standard rate of about $13 plus protein price ($3-6) is a little steep but they do give a generous amount of toppings. I can usually get 1.5-2 meals out of it, but I have definitely noticed they skimped the past few visits. +A must order are the urban fries!!!!!!!!!!!!! Crispy thin fries covered with red pepper flakes, chili oil, & blue cheese. $5-7 depending on size. It's so creamy and tasty with a hint of spice, highly recommend. +spicy buffalo sandiwxh $14 was unimpressive. Bread was dry and not enough sauce. Would not opt for it As for the location itself, huuuuge parking lot shared with other complexes. Service is friendly and fast. They got my salad dressing incorrect and offered to remake the whole thing. Not the cleanest Jack's I've been too but they tend to be pretty busy so can't blame them

Came here for the first time for dinner. The experience was ok, open and bright, good selection of items...they are a little on the higher end for a semi-fast food/ self-serve eatery. We ordered four things: 1. Reuben sandwich 2. Mac n cheese 3. Chicken sandwich 4. Potato salad 5. His beer The food except for 1 was tasty especially my chicken sandwich. However, the Mac and cheese was dry and bland. Also customer service was ok, some of the staff looked busy and unavailable. Lastly, (bc I believe every sandwich should have mustard), they actually don't carry regular or spicy mustard. They have several sandwiches on the menu but don't have condiments...one employee said they have honey mustard only. The place looked somewhat clean except got several flies inside the restaurant buzzzzzzing around. Maybe getting some insect repellent for the inside would help. Ample parking space out front and different juices available. Overall, I'd try this again maybe at another location too.

Salmon plate

My wife and I had dinner at this location. She had the turkey plate and I had the salmon. Both were excellent both in taste, quality, and value. We dined in close to closing. They ran out of balsamic vegetables and quickly made up a batch. Excellent service! We'll be back to try some other items.

Salmon portion compared to what I got.

Please change your mac and cheese. It's appalling. Otherwise I thoroughly enjoy the overpriced salads.

Came here after seeing all the delicious pictures. I usually don't stray far from classic dishes…read morebecause the basics say a lot about a restaurant. Portions were generous and pricing was decent. The Pad Thai looked great visually, but the noodles were overcooked and broken into smaller pieces, and it was missing peanuts. The flavor was very bland--I kept adding fish sauce to try to bring it to life. The sour seafood soup was good but also needed fish sauce. The Thai fried rice was begging for soy sauce or fish sauce as well. Something just felt off tonight. The Laos-style papaya salad wasn't pungent or spicy at all. I ordered medium spicy, but it came out mild. I had to add quite a bit of fish sauce and chilies to suit my taste. Overall, the service was good, but the food lacked flavor for me.

We ordered the boat noodle, which was super flavorful and really unique. We've never had anything like it before, so it definitely stood out. But the star of the show for me was their Pad Thai. I genuinely think it's the best Pad Thai I've had in Sacramento. I've been searching for a good one that isn't overly sweet, and this place absolutely nailed it. This is officially my go-to spot for Pad Thai from now on. The service during our first visit was good, and the ambience is really nice ,cozy, warm, and inviting. The only reason I'm taking off one star is because of our second visit. We arrived about an hour before their posted closing time, but as soon as we pulled up, the staff inside hurriedly switched the sign to "closed." It caught us off guard because it was still early, and we were really looking forward to eating there again. Not sure what happened that night, and maybe there was a reason, but it did feel a little disappointing. Still, based on the food and our first experience, we're hoping to return and try again, especially for that Pad Thai!

I have eaten here about 5 times so far. Things I observed. Pros - The food is good. Mostly Thai inspired but there is sometimes a variety. Every time things have tasted great. - They accept cash, credit, Apple pay, and even member direct billing to account. - In addition to cooked food there is a good variety of snacks, drinks, and quick bites. - The smoothies are very good. - Friday afternoons in the summer they have a happy hour with cheaper food and alcoholic drinks available. - There are some tables next to the cafe as well as outside to site and enjoy your meal. Cons - Menu isn't always consist. Sometimes there is a sign with the "typical" menu and sometimes you have to stand in line and ask what they have to find out. Of the 5 times I've ordered there have been changes to the menu every time. Either they were missing items or they decided to only serve a special random set of items. This makes it a bit difficult as a customer to know what is available to order. - The line can get a bit long at times and it's often not very quick to order or get your food. Overall I would recommend trying it out. I would give it 5 stars if there was a bit more consistency with the menu. The food itself though is tasty.

"Sounds good," I heard so across the parking lot was WCSD. In we go. Ordered two 6" BLT, no chips, cookies, or drinks, had water. Over $25.00. After waiting a fair amount of time, the order was ready (there was nobody in the place except three employees.) I brought the pie tins that they serve on to our table. They looked a little flat....odd. After I was seated, I lifted the top off of the sandwich, and where is the tomato? The sandwich was cut in half, so I looked at the other side, it looked the same. Upon further inspection there was ONE 2" diameter slice of tomato on each half of sandwich, approximately 1/8" thick. No kidding. The bacon was some very flat pre made stuff that was resembling aluminum foil in thickness. The lettuce was shreadded into long stripe and was wilty. I went back into the empty store and showed the sandwich maker my open sandwich and asked where the tomato was. She graciously stuck her lingers and thumb into my open sandwich, lifted the bacon and lettuce and proudly said "There it is!" (She did have gloves on. God only knows what she had handled with them on) A supervisor came up and asked what the problem was. I explained that there were no tomatoes on my sandwich. He explained that was how they make them. He offered additional tomato slices, I did not take them. The point is-That was the standard that they serve. It was just ridiculous. Not coming back.
