We ordered Jacks catering for a celebration of life for my father last weekend. I ordered food for 30 and asked if I could pick it up early on the web application. Within about an hour I received a call back asking what time. They were completely accommodating to my request and the gentleman who helped me was super helpful and incredibly professional. (Hint to HQ, promote this person). We were able to pick the food up early and the event went perfect. The food was fantastic and the portions were super generous. We had enough for lunch and dinner. In addition, the food was outstanding. We ordered tri tip, chicken, veggies, Mac and cheese, and cheese bread. Everything was spot on and they supplied ample plates and utensils for all. I can usually get 1.5-2 meals out of it, but I have definitely noticed they skimped the past few visits. +A must order are the urban fries!!!!!!!!!!!!! Crispy thin fries covered with red pepper flakes, chili oil, & blue cheese. $5-7 depending on size. It's so creamy and tasty with a hint of spice, highly recommend. +spicy buffalo sandiwxh $14 was unimpressive. Bread was dry and not enough sauce. We ordered four things: 1. Reuben sandwich 2. Mac n cheese 3. Chicken sandwich 4. Potato salad 5. His beer The food except for 1 was tasty especially my chicken sandwich. However, the Mac and cheese was dry and bland. Also customer service was ok, some of the staff looked busy and unavailable. Lastly, (bc I believe every sandwich should have mustard), they actually don't carry regular or spicy mustard. They have several sandwiches on the menu but don't have condiments...one employee said they have honey mustard only. The place looked somewhat clean except got several flies inside the restaurant buzzzzzzing around. Maybe getting some insect repellent for the inside would help. Three things- 1. The steak was literally not cooked at all, very raw. 2. There was a hair in my friends salad, and they also forgot one of the toppings 3. If you don't care how your meat is cooked, this is the place for you! I used to love their salads. With that being said... Ordered the tri tip plate and 2 steak salads for pickup. Tri tip plate: $16.25. Online ordering app asked how I'd like the meat done; I selected medium rare hoping that if there were leftovers we could reheat them and still be delicious. They arrived completely well done. They were slightly tough. Fries are... well fries (especially after a 20 min drive back home in a container on my front seat). Salad was nice. I wouldn't order again. Steak salad: $13.75 (+$.75 for artichoke hearts each): To be fair the salad doesn't give you a choice on steak temperature, so I was prepared for the layman's version with jerky bits. It was exactly the same as the meat mentioned above (well done). I was ok with the salad; my mom was disappointed. The quantity of artichokes was sufficient (maybe 6). This was my first visit to this chain. There were five of us and we each ordered something different: Turkey Brie, Turkey Club, Pesto Chicken, Bahn Mi, and Tri Tip sandwiches each costing $11.25. Sides are separate: Mac and Cheese, Mashed Potatoes, or Salad. You can order Fries too. I got a Lemon Cookie for dessert. We sat outside, so we were given a number in a stand and they brought our food to our table. The food was delicious, however there were a few things I wasn't too thrilled about: the sandwiches were small and they came with a pickle slice (it was good) and a pepperoncini (which I don't eat). So my complaint is that I wish the sandwiches were larger and for the price I would have thought I would like a bag of chips to go with my meal. I must say the Lemon Cookie was very good, moist with lemon zest, albeit a little too sweet, I couldn't finish it in one sitting. Will I return? After almost 15 minutes of circling the parking lot and parking structure looking for a parking space we gave up and drove to a neighboring strip mall in hopes of finding a restaurant. The Achiote Bowl was one of my favorite dishes with all fresh ingredients, wild rice, quinoa, black beans, and roasted corn. I ordered it today and it was nothing like it used to be. My go to order is always the steak salad and urban fries. I've ordered this since high school, and it's my absolute favorite. But I know their other entrees are just as delicious too! Delicious healthy food. The portion are perfect for lunch. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. They use a number system with a stand for your table when you order. The season is just right - not over powering and the balance with the chicken flavor was perfect. The meat was compressed which made it easy to cut and eat. Love it!
