Amazing BBQ with top notch customer service. The owner took time out of his busy day to come over and check on how our visit was. It was super a super genuine interaction and I can't say how much I hope his business succeeds going forward. My dad and I made the 30 minute drive to Belly BBQ. We were looking forward to this meal all day. It did not disappoint! Totally exceeded my expectations. Their menu is straightforward. You've got your meats, sides and a couple desserts. Their 3 day hours of operation schedule allow for them to focus on perfecting their craft, and it's working. Line took about 20 minutes to get to the front. But the food was absolutely worth the wait. The Mac and cheese here was phenomenal. Not just creamy and cheesy but the flavors were deep and rich. The cheesy grits hit the high mark for me. I had only eaten grits once before and wasn't very impressed. The grits at Belly BBQ however changed my whole perspective on the classic southern dish. I'm craving some now and will be ordering the grits with every future visit. The BBQ here is done perfectly. We got the 2-3 person tray which was $55. Came with pork ribs, brisket, smoked turkey and the two sides I mentioned earlier. We also added two spicy sausages. This was a ton of food. Everything was delicious. I especially loved the smoked turkey. It was so bomb. Place is relatively small. Most people got their orders to go. No TV's, tables were very clean. The one bathroom they have was clean as well. I'll be back to have my fiancee try it and my dad has already volunteered to join us. It was a nice lunch with my pops, I'm glad Belly BBQ was able to deliver on the great food.

We found this place while doing our blood work from Quest next door. When we went, their brisket was sold out so we were bummed that we didn't get to try one of their best popular meat. We end up ordering the tray with pork ribs, beef ribs, turkey, mac and cheese, blueberry cornbread, and a chocolate cookie. Our favorites were the beef ribs and blueberry cornbread. The beef ribs fall off the bone and the cornbread was super moist inside and not dry at all. Staffs were all super friends and helpful.

Believe the hype! This is easily some of the best barbecue you can get in the greater Sacramento area. From the crack of the sausage casing to the, perfect amount of tenderness on the ribs to the moistness of the brisket this is barbecue done right. There was a line out the door but things moved quickly. It took us maybe 15 minutes to reach the front of the line and it was only another minute or two before we had our food. The interior is sparsely decorated hut is buzzing with energy. Happy customers and helpful staff create a great vibe. I will absolutely be back.

I have heard good things about this place for a while and finally had a chance to check it out. They are only open Friday through Sunday from 11 AM to around 2 or 3 PM, but the wait was definitely worth it. We ordered the Tray for 2-3, which comes with 1/2 pound of brisket, 1/2 pound of pork ribs, 1/4 pound of sliced turkey, two sides, and a dessert for $55. The sliced turkey was moist and flavorful. The pork ribs were very good as well, and the brisket was my favorite. For the sides, we ordered the cornbread and mac and cheese. The cornbread was pretty standard, next time I might upgrade to the blueberry cornbread. The mac and cheese was very good, much better than a basic mac and cheese you get at some other places. The tray was very filling and easily fed me, my wife, and my son. They also offer a variety of sauces that you can try. My wife liked their mild sauce, while I preferred the sweet barbecue sauce. Although the meats were very good, even without the sauces. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I'll be coming back here again.

Stopped by Belly Barbecue in Folsom around noon on a busy weekend. The place is small and fills up fast--the line was out the door when we arrived--but it moved quickly, and we found a table easily once we had our trays. We ordered the pork ribs, pork belly, and brisket, and all three were excellent. The ribs had great flavor and tender texture, the pork belly was rich and well-smoked, and the brisket was juicy with solid smoke. Sides were strong too--mac and cheese was creamy and very good (our 5-year-old loved it and finished his ribs quickly), and the slaw was fresh and crunchy.

Beef short rib, brisket, pork belly, pork rib, greens, mac n cheese, cheesy grits, lemon pound cake and banana pudding.

Drove here from Elk Grove, worth the drive. Everything we ordered was on point. Perfect smoke flavor, moist and tender. The pickles are home made too! Arrived at 11:20am. Line out the door. Small dining area that was full by the time we got inside. Tables started to clear up by the time we ordered the food. Line died down by 12:00 and it wasn't as packed. Next time we will show up after 12. The owner , Marcus, is a great guy. Always greeting his customers and is an artist with his smoker. He has more loyal customers here.

I finally got to try Belly BBQ. The store is a decent size and staff was super friendly. The owner even came out to greet us and ask us about the food. I got the Serves 2-3 and it definitely made all 3 of us content with the add on of a sausage. The store itself got super busy right when it opened at 11am so I can see it is a crowd favorite. Brisket - I got all fatty and would definitely recommend that route! It was tender Pork belly - held its shape, good smoke, and good flavor Sausage - I got the regular since I don't like spice and it was a bit dry. It had a decent smoke flavor but did not stand out. Pork Rib - the crust was a tad salty. It was also a little dry and tough. Pecan Bar - sweet, buttery pecan flavor. Felt one dimensional Overall, it was not bad but would not go out of my way to get it again. I would want to give it a solid 3.5 stars if I could.

"Tray for 1" with brisket, side of macaroni and cheese and an extra piece of cornbread.

This has become my son's favorite BBQ place in a 50mile radius. And since he prefers not to eat alone, I love tagging along. The brisket was perfect, the Mac and cheese was good and the cornbread was very good. The line can be long when they first open, but the service line is very efficient and they get through the line quickly. The portion size is just about absolutely perfect. I ordered the tray for one with mac & cheese as my side and ordered an extra piece of cornbread. The key here is to eat and get out since there are usually people waiting for your table. If you're coming here to sit and talk with friends for a while, this probably is not the place for you.

Drove all the way across the county (!) to try Belly Barbecue in Folsom. Arrived just before closing 2pm today, Friday. All the proteins were available, and 8 of 10 sides. My to-go order was brisket with a side of coleslaw. At home, food tasted fresh and so delicious. Will definitely return to explore the rest of the menu.

Belly has usurped the crown of top BBQ in Northern CA. I smoke quite a bit of meat myself, and I can tell when a restaurant is doing things the hard (correct) way. Our group got a big platter of every meat, and while everything was delicious, to keep my BBQ reviews consistent, I will focus on just the brisket. They appear to be doing the "Goldees Method", meaning that they rest their briskets in an Alto Sham warmer for a long period of time wrapped in foil with rendered tallow. Both the lean and fatty slices were perfect. Perfect tenderness, no trace of dryness, fat cap was perfectly rendered, and the bark was a delicious balance of meat, salt, pepper and smoke. I usually nit pick restaurants that I would want a bit more black pepper, but I did not get that urge this time. They have very limited hours, but I appreciate the fact that the owner is presumably doing this to ensure quality. I am already thinking of how I can plan a trip to come back with my family, so they qualify for my rare 5 star review!

Wooohooo!!! Amazing bbq!!! So glad I got the chance to try them out. I've been wanting to try Belly BBQ since I moved to the area. Only open Friday - Sunday. They typically sell out quick and get really busy for lunch so make sure to come early. My husband and I shared the BBQ tray for 2-3 ppl. Came with 1/2 pound brisket, 1/4 pound turkey, 1/2 pounds pork ribs and 2 sides which we got Mac and cheese and cornbread and also came with your choice of dessert. Options were a pecan bar or lemon pound cake, which we opted for a lemon pound cake. BBQ was just amazing no need to for sauce, that good. But if you want sauce they got it. Regular, sweet and a spicy bbq sauce. Mac and cheese was cheesy, creamy and packed with flavor. Good cornbread. And their lemon pound cake was so moist and soft. This entire meal was $55 plus tax and worth it. We'll definitely be coming back again.

BEST SOUTHERN BBQ IN NORCAL. Hidden gem. AMAZING FOOD. Kind service with that true Southern hospitality. 3 of us were dining and got a pound of brisket, 1/2 lb of pork ribs, and a 1/4 lb of turkey with a side of blueberry cornbread, mac n cheese, and slaw! I will be sprinting back here. The owner was just rounding on people. The whole place is just a vibe. Pick up your keys and drive to Folsom baby!!

Found another gem for meat lovers. Every bite was amazing, filling and makes you smile. It can be just the fattylicious meat but still it can make a bad weather or day, felt the finest. And yup thumbs up on costumer service.

Today we decided that after seeing the movie Michael, we wanted some food because well, Popcorn and a Drink certainly doesnt cut it when you're hungry. Right as soon as we walked in if you turn to the left you get to see a huge menu and with there being so many things to choose from, we choose Tri-Tip Soft Tacos and Pulled Pork Tacos. The wife came over with some samples of BBQ Sauce to try and I first tested the Sweet Fire Heat BBQ Sauce and the Buckhorns BBQ Sauce and just to say that since I dont really do Spice (Except every so often) the Sweet Fire Heat BBQ Sauce wasnt very spicy and the Buckhorns BBQ Sauce was delicious. However when I walked over to get the California Gold BBQ Sauce and I tested that, WHOA!! It immediately hits you in the back of the throat. After waiting for about 4 or 5 minutes the waitress came over with our food. She presented my wife with her Tri-Tip Tacos and then to me with my Pulled Pork Tacos. As soon as I took a bite out of my Pulled Pork Tacos, you could taste the chewiness of the meat because it was so tender. My wife and I then swapped 1 Taco each and after I took a bite out of her Tri-Tip Taco, it then mirrored the same tenderness and taste of the Pulled Pork. It was soft and when I poured the Buckhorn BBQ Sauce on it, it actually added more flavor to the taste of the Tri-Tip the same of my Pulled Pork. I then tried the Strawberry Dragonfruit Lemonade and while I wasn't a big fan of that I decided to just change to Mango Lemonade which was very good as well. Thank you Buckhorn for such a great experience. Oh yeah, when they brought out the Bavarian Pretzel and the Buckhorns Beer Cheese.. WOW!! The size of the Pretzel caught my eye but it was very good as well. And while we spent a good chunk of change, everything here was very well worth it. Definitely a 5 Star place because the food and the BBQ are most certainly ON POINT!

Four of us were doing some Palladio window shopping when we came upon the Buckhorn restaurant. We peeked at the menu and decided to give it a try for an early dinner. One in our group had eaten here previously and enjoyed her meal immensely. Ok... let's go! Ambiance: Big, large, almost warehouse-type feel. Love the open kitchen with all the cooking/barbecuing going on. Super nice bar area with a dedicated bartender. Excellent for a couple or single walking in and wanting a more intimate experience. Enormous amount of tables and booths. And as you enter the checkin area there is well laid out and easy to read menu signs. Love the "do your ordering at the get go", pay, and then relax until your food is delivered. Also a handy/easy concept for groups or anyone not liking to figure out and splitting individual food costs. Food: Delicious! And there was 20 minutes left of happy hour when we came in. Who knew!?! Two of our group ordered from the HH menu and two did not. Beer battered onion rings served with ranch, the Buckhorn Burger and three Char Roasted Tri Tip Sliders all from the HH menu. (Check out those great prices from my HH menu photo.) I ordered the Cabo Chop Salad and added grilled chicken. And a side of lightly salted fries... just because! As requested, the onion rings and fries were delivered to our booth first. Both were piping hot and delicious. They hit the spot. And disappeared fast. Yum! After devouring all of that, everything else came out looking and tasting f-a-n-t-a-s-t-i-c! Not one complaint. My salad was wonderful and I would definitely order it again in a heart beat. Bar: Great selection of anything you may want. Wine, beer, and cocktails. Impressive HH prices were sweet too. Sean, the bartender, was super welcoming. I chose a Sauvignon Blanc and Sean brought it to my booth in minutes. I could see enjoying a future HH at the bar! Customer Service: Top notch! We interacted with a young woman when we entered and ordered. She was AWESOME. Friendly, professional, quick to answer all our questions as first-time diners and knowledgeable about the many menu items. And again so nice of her to get our order in before 5 for those using the HH choices. A big thank you to her! Both she and Sean made our dining experience wonderful. I am sold on the Buckhorn for great food, drinks, and service. Nice outdoor dog friendly seating. Great for families and groups. Clean! Parking garage nearby. Do not miss the Buckhorn!

Shoutout to Folsom, CA. Kabayan!…read more This is a super worthy shout out. Kabayan is Filipino casual counter service eatery serving up some darn tasty food. I'm not well versed in Filipino cuisine, but I got working tastebuds and I like what I like. I meandered into the eatery on a recent weekend mid-afternoon. The tables were filled with happy folks enjoying their meals with a line of folks waiting for an open table; that's always a good indicator. I decided to order to go. The owner was cashiering. She was super helpful and engaging. Big smile. I ordered the two item combo $13.99 that comes with rice and pancit. The pancit was classic with all the familiar flavors. Ginisang Pusit. Squid. Soooo good! I never had this dish before. The squid was super tender, not mushy nor rubbery. Perfect tenderness... how did they do that?!? It had a sweetness and slight spiciness. Spiciness without the heat, but packing a bunch of flavor. I'm still thinking about that dish. Pork Kare Kare. It was served with a side of fermented shrimp paste. Not a lot of restaurants provide that shrimp paste, so I was stoked even if it was a smallish portion. The paste was a perfect compliment of saltiness to the creamy peanut butter sauce. Yup, PB gravy sauce. They also sell imported Filipino packaged snacks and pantry items. Plus they sell halo halo. I saw folks with gorgeously delicious looking halo halo. Colorful layers of shaved ice, ice cream, and toppings. The eatery is not particular large, so when it's a full house, it gets crowded cozy.

I had questions about the food and their menu and she was very patient going through all of them. She introduced me to pitchi pitchi which is a sweet and salty cassava dessert that reminds me of mochi. The cheese threw me off a little, but I read that sometimes it's served with coconut flakes. I ordered two halo halo desserts, two combos, the cassava dessert, upgraded the rice to garlic rice, two orders of lumpia, and picked up a couple of calamansi drinks and garlic peanuts as a snick snack. Total bill plus tip was over $100. The menu changes every day, which I think is interesting. And every Sunday they serve lechon for $18 a pound. Check out their Facebook page for updates in case I got this information wrong. For the food, I had half pancit and half rice. I had adobo chicken, butter chicken, and two pork dishes that I don't remember the name. I like that the pork had a good combo of fat and lean meats. I wish I could've eaten it there but we had lunch and then decided to stop here. I felt like the food being warmed up after sitting in the fridge for a bit, It kind of made all of the entrées taste similar to each other. Next time I will vary my order, like I'll get a saucey dish, a sour soup, and a bbq skewer. All in all the food tasted very homey and delicious. It's heavily seasoned. I can see myself ordering lumpia and pancit to a party. Can't wait to go back and try their lechon and pork belly.

The inside looks small, but there are four tables that can seat 4-6 people and a few tables for 2 people. They also offer a water station. Definitely will be back

Food deals include half off all appetizers ("smaller") and tavern pizzas (flabreads). Specialty cocktails, wine, and beer are discounted a couple dollars and well drinks are nicely priced at $6. We came around 4:30pm and there was a lot of seating available. The hostess was welcoming and our server Evelyn was great. She had a chill and pleasant attitude and was very efficient with our requests. Kitchen was quick to bring out my poke nachos, and our combo pizza and chicken wings came within 10 minutes. My husband had to send his lemonade back because it was carbonated, but they fixed it right away and it was perfect. The poke nachos was stacked high with crispy wonton chips and diced raw tuna with a spicy aioli sauce throughout. The buffalo chicken wings were sauced just right and still a little crispy. I heard the server tell another patron they can do bbq sauce or naked if you do not want buffalo sauce. The flatbread pizza wasn't as crispy on the bottom as I'd like (probably because of all the toppings) but the edges of the crust were good with a nice chew/crispy ratio. Overall, food was delicious, and at half off, definitely worth it, Since there were only a few patrons in the restaurant at the time, it was fairly quiet, but I've been when it's packed, loud, and lively. Iron Horse Tavern is always a good choice for lunch, dinner, weekend brunch, and especially for Happy Hour!

The quality of the salad ordered was mediocre, in fact some of the greens were wilted. The French toast with berries was probably the one of the things that was better. We also celebrated birthdays and the brownies that were provided were extremely hard. We probably should have brought our own cake. The quality of the service just was not as good as our last experience from a year ago. We hope that it can improve in the future as this has been a place we go to in Folsom to celebrate holidays and Mother's Day.

We decided to try something local and came across Big Island Hawaiian BBQ, which was a close enough drive from where we live so we figured, why not give this spot a try? Overall, we had a really great first experience. The quality of the food stood out right away as everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. We were honestly very impressed with how good everything tasted. Even though the portions aren't as packed as some other Hawaiian BBQ spots, the food absolutely hits all the Hawaiian flavors and cravings we love, and we left very satisfied. The pricing was decent (slightly cheaper than other Hawaiian food spots), the interior was clean and well-kept, and I appreciated the designated sauce station on top of having sauces at each table for convenience. To top it all off, the Pineapple Dole Whip was the perfect dessert as it was light, refreshing, and such a great finishing touch. Another big thing to note is that they offer Musubi Mondays, where you can get 50% off musubis. My husband immediately noticed the sign for it in the front of the store and was so excited. We thought how it was such a sweet deal that we are already considering coming back on a Monday just for that to stock up on musubis to eat at home. However, there is a max of 2 orders per customer for the Musubi Monday deal, but still totally worth it to try. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is purely because of portion size compared to other Hawaiian places. The spam musubis are also a bit small in size compared to other places that make spam musubi but the teriyaki sauce that goes with it makes it better! That said, the quality, taste, and overall experience definitely make up for it! This is officially going to be our new go-to spot for Hawaiian food moving forward, and we're excited to come back again soon!

This was our first time in this location, great service even if they seemed very shirt staff, some customers left and didn't bother waiting for their dessert, I mean more for us, Right!. The staff were really doing their very best to catch up the demand of the customers which was very impressive, such great terms work even the supervisor was busting tables while bringing food to the table, I mean this gentlemen walked and worked on the nearby tables so much even the other staff started bringing their own customers order. The ambiance was great, restroom was clean, the floors are not slippery which is a huge plus, you can tell they were short staff and truly hoped that they are all well compensated for the hard work that they do each and every day. Thank you to the front, kitchen staff, servers and individuals that clean the tables. No hard work left unnoticed. The food was amazing, great flavor, fresh side dishes, not once was received cold appetizers, they even changed our grill almost on time, the waiter/s were so attentive we didn't really feel that they are short staff unless we started looking around like our server was covering a lot of tables and not enough staff that turns the table around for the next customers. We will definitely be coming back for more.

Our server was great, attentive and friendly. You can keep ordering for 2 hours, and the food is delivered quickly. The cooking takes a long time because the grill is (just being real) not very hot. Overall, the side dishes, pork and chicken are great. I enjoyed the tofu soup but it may be a bit spicy. The fried chicken was really good. The beef (especially the ribeye) had a weird texture and flavor. The Kalbi was decent but no better than the freezer isle at Trader Joe's. Most of the meats are relatively low grade and underseasoned. I guess if you want a lot of food, it's decent.
