Four of ladies out to lunch! We all loved our lunch! First of all our waiter was wonderful. Very personable, super helpful, very patient! Secondly our food was delicious! We all loved our food but portions are so large we all needed boxes to go. Two of us had pastrami & Swiss sandwiches on a hoagie roll. Another had the Wyatt Earp steak sandwich, and the last had a French dip sandwich. Two of the ladies had coleslaw and loved it. I had the Mac & Cheese which was delicious - I shared a taste with my friend and she ordered some to take home! We all decided we need to come back often. The staff were all welcoming and polite, just like you would want/expect at a "country kitchen." Good service and our food was brought out quickly. The restaurant was clean (although the restrooms had a strong sewer odor). You could tell it used to be a fast-food joint, now dressed up as a country-inspired diner. My husband ordered off menu. He had a "chorizo scramble" and loved it. The country potatoes were crispy and tasted good, but there weren't any onions or peppers in it. The country gravy was also delicious, with actual sausage in it. Trying to order lighter and healthier, I got the grilled burger patty with a side of cottage cheese, canned dice peaches, and fresh sliced tomatoes. I asked for the beef patty to be cooked medium-well but it was well done and a little dry. Nice grill marks and charred flavor though. We happened to be in the area and found Ashley's via Yelp. I would come again but probably order a real "country' breakfast instead. read more

Easily the highlight of the meal and something I would order again without hesitation. Eggs & Hashbrowns - 10/10 The eggs were prepared perfectly over easy, with a beautifully runny yolk. The hashbrowns were crisp without being overly greasy, offering great texture and flavor. A well-executed classic that I would gladly reorder. Biscuit & Gravy - 5/10 This dish was average overall. While the biscuit itself was well-baked and not overly dry, the gravy lacked depth and seasoning. It was notably missing sausage and came across as bland. With improved seasoning or added sausage, this dish could be significantly better. Country Fried Steak - 3/10 This was the most disappointing item. Despite an appealing presentation, the flavor did not meet expectations. The steak had the taste and texture of a pre-frozen product, lacking freshness and proper seasoning. It was dry and underwhelming, and the gravy did little to enhance it. I would not order this again. Overall Impression While there were standout items, the experience was mixed. The pricing is reasonable and presentation is solid, but the overall meal did not exceed expectations, it barely met them. I would consider returning to try other menu options, though there are stronger breakfast spots in the area. read more

We found this place while craving some home cooked breakfast. Stopped in on Sunday morning, greeted right away and sat down promptly. We ordered meatloaf and eggs with a side order of biscuits and gravy... both gravy's were amazing! Also got the California Benedict - eggs cooked perfectly. Lastly the S.O.S this plate came with homemade biscuits, ground beef, country potatoes and eggs smothered in country gravy. That brought me back to my childhood when my mom would make breakfast for dinner. They hit it out of the park! Will definitely be back oh and service - Maria was attentive and so kind. read more

Neighborhood cafe that consistently churns out stick to your ribs, delicious comfort food for breakfast and lunch. The dining area was clean and the staff was polite and made sure we had everything we could have needed: coffee refills, more napkins, ranch, etc My mother in law had a French dip sandwich that looked enticing. She offered me a bite, but I didn't trust myself to have only one bite and had it back to her. The wife's pastrami sandwich was stacked with meat. I took three bites of hers. The first thing I noticed was the well seasoned pastrami. Upon the second bite, I took extra notice of the melting Swiss cheese. I personally struggle to melt Swiss when I try. On the third bite I noticed how the rye bread's very specific taste made itself known. Sadly, I then had to give the sandwich back to my wife. The kids' chicken strips looked big but very typical and the Mac and cheese looked more white than fake orange. I would have asked them how they liked their food, but I saved myself the frustration of one word answers from their teenage brains. Great breakfast spot! We ended up coming here multiple mornings while my family was in town, and every visit was consistently good. Service was the highlight--our server, Maria, was friendly, attentive, and on top of everything even when it was busy. She remembered us each day and even started to remember our orders, which was such a nice touch. She made sure we always had what we needed and kept things running smoothly, which we really appreciated (especially at 9 months pregnant!) I really enjoyed my experience here. From the beginning, Maria accommodated me with seating to ensure I felt comfortable. She went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. I honestly mean it when I say she's one of the best servers I've ever had and just made the start of my day so wonderful! The other male server also offered refills and help in passing! I came here with a friend of mine for breakfast and this is a tasty country style spot. I tried the sausage and mushroom scramble with biscuit and gravy. Super good and filling! I loved the biscuit and gravy, very savory but not overly salty. My friend got the vegetarian omelet and said that she liked it. Wow, just wow! Maria served our orders exactly the way we wanted them along with an outstanding personality. Nothing crazy, but executed perfectly. i.e. grilled onions in my hash browns and joking responses to my smart a$$ remarks. The food was excellent. However, the service did not match the quality of the meal. I saw my waiter only three times: to take my order, to deliver the food, and to present the check. Despite seeing other staff members circulating to refill coffee, no one stopped to offer me a refill, even when my cup was nearly empty. Well, what can I say - this place was such a nice surprise! We looked on Yelp to see what breakfast places were around us. Even though the restaurant itself had 4-stars, I actually read the reviews. I agree with them! The restaurant itself is clean, has a pine shiplap ceiling with nice, thick wood rafters. It is super clean, ceiling fans that make it nice and cool on this summer day. The waitress Maria was very friendly and gave excellent service. When we ordered, we were eating in about 10 minutes! We got the SOS It really hit the spot! It was enough for my husband (6'2" with a big appetite) and I. We even have left overs! This is by far the least expensive breakfast we have had - ever. We got the SOS, Diet Pepsi, one pancake. We also go extra country gravy & country potatoes to go. All of that was only $35.90!! We will definitely be coming back when we are in the area. read more

Stopped by here for breakfast when the place we wanted to try (Dirtbag) around the corner was closed. Kind of what you would expect for an old diner, sort of dark and dingy inside, mostly older crowd. I guess you're expecting if the vibe isn't great that the food would be better. We had an omelet, pancakes, and hash browns. Everything was just very bland and mediocre. Thanks Yelp! for helping us find this new breakfast place. The server Shawna was very friendly and helpful. She explained the place was Burger King originally and they have been open for 13 years. The place has an old county vibe which works well. The portions were hefty and everything tasted home made. I got the country fried steak and my wife got the fajita omelette. Everything tasted great. As someone who doesn't eat eggs, agreeing to grab brunch at a "country kitchen" can be a bit scary. Luckily, Ashley's has a fantastic menu. While they do have all of the standard things that egg-eaters eat, they also have a decent selection of oatmeal, pancakes, French toast, and lunch items. The prices were pretty reasonable, and many of the menu items were also available in half or petit orders. I was strongly considering ordering the stuffed French toast or the biscuits and gravy, but, ultimately... I decided to order the Pastrami with Swiss sandwich from the lunch menu, with chili for the side. All of it was pretty tasty, although it tasted like something I easily could have made at home. It felt like the sandwich was lacking something, like sauce, or a pickle, or just any condiments at all, really. Our server was fantastic, and did a great job taking care of our large group. I think we had like twelve people, but all of our food came out quickly, and we were able to get multiple coffee refills. The restaurant was noticeably clean, and covered with really cute country-themed decorations. After looking through the photos, I've decided that next time I come back, I'll be trying the stuffed French toast. I hadn't been here in a while, so I thought I'd come back and check it out. Kind of disappointed. The memory was better than the experience this time. The good: service was fantastic. Several people walked by my table and checked on me. The flavor of the chorizo in my skillet was excellent. The pricing is fair. So many places want like four dollars for a cup of coffee. Here $2.50. The bad: only Cholula on the table no Tapatio. The potatoes in my skillet were slightly undercooked. Not enough meat in the skillet. (having said that..the price is pretty fair. After ordering from here with GrubHub many times, I was in the neighborhood so I decided to finally stop by. I enjoyed my experience. The place is light and airy inside The decor makes it feel like a "country kitchen." You could tell that this was a neighborhood joint. At one point, I saw somebody get up from their table, walk over and have a nice chat with somebody they knew at another table.. The food was very good. I decided to go with the chicken fajita omelette, mushrooms, instead of bell peppers. The omelette was large, and delicious. The chicken was tender, and will seasoned, the veggies were just right, and it had the right amount of cheese. The sour cream went very well with it, and the salsa on top had just a tiny bit of a zip to it The fruit I had instead of the potatoes was very fresh. The coffee was good, and they kept my cup full The only problem I had, was that there was a very, very small charge to replace the bell peppers with the mushrooms, and another small charge to have fruit instead of potatoes on the side. They've never charged me for the fruit when I have ordered to go . Also, I didn't see the charge listed on the menu. One charge that they do tell you about, is if that you use your credit card, there was a small processing charge. I used my debit card and I don't believe I was charged. They do offer a military/veterans discount which is nice. Once again, I was very happy. I would order here again. Thank you. read more
