Food was good, standard bar food. The service was great and the outdoor seating as well! We will definitely back!

Came in for first time since this business changed name and owners. The businesses next to this one (coffee Republic and Juliennes bakery and other shops) were all busy. We decided to try friends. When we walked in, it was completely empty. One table inside had two people seated and one table outside had two people there. We sat on patio, it is quiet and nice to feel like you are in the woods with trees and foliage all around.. Nice and peaceful. The tables looked like the "old" Benihana type of tables with the grill pan in the middle. They looked dirty but it I think they are just dated. Not a problem for us as we tend to like "hole in the wall" type places and that is the vibe this place gives. Our waitress was nice just seemed shy. Music genre was oldies. We ordered a jalapeño burger and the grilled chicken club sandwich. The jalapeño burger was supposed to be 1/2 lb Angus beef. It did have good flavor and cooked right, but it was a very small burger. Hubby felt that it couldn't be 1/2lb. For the price it was just too small. $18. The grilled chicken avacado club sandwich had one slice of bacon on it, not a deal breaker but the chicken wasn't grilled. Not sure how it was cooked, but not on a grill. It had a lot of seasoning on it and yet the sandwich was underwhelming. The produce seemed like it was yesterday's produce. The fries were also just ok. Didn't seem like there was any salt. They did sprinkle some chopped cilantro on top which looked nice. Overall we did enjoy the patio and peacefulness of our lunch there, and we do hope to see some improvements in quality and maybe better portion sizes for the cost. We will give it a shot another time, maybe dinner time when they are a little busier. read more

This used to be Pete's, and we've been to Pete's plenty of times. Now it's called FRENDS, but honestly, it looks exactly the same and most of the menu is pretty much unchanged--except the wine and beer selection has shifted a bit, and they've got new menus. I'm not sure why they went with "FRENDS" instead of "FRIENDS." I heard it might be to avoid copyright issues with the TV show Friends, but who knows if that's true or just the start of some local folklore. I don't want to share this too widely because I don't want it to get too crowded, but their Monday wild pizza special is seriously incredible. The pizza itself is really, really good. I will say food here is phenomenal! Staff not that great. We walked in the door and staff passed us multiple times without being acknowledged, once we were we sat outside tables were filthy and menus were filthy. Ants on the tables and we were getting eaten by mosquitoes, so we asked to be moved inside. It took a while to order drinks and apps, we had multiple servers come by and one girl who also worked the bar came and took our order and tried to close us out immediately, which was odd since we only ordered a flight of margaritas and appetizers. She then tried to close us out again and we said we haven't ordered our entrees yet. We will not be back it was a extremely horrible experience. read more

I had high hopes for Friends to improve. Loved it when it was Pete's! Been a few times but this will be my last. The food didn't seem fresh produce was kinda wilted, tomatoes kinda soggy,and the avocado was brown. Over all ambiance was below the expectation. The dinning area was cluttered and not the cleanest. The restaurant was not busy and service was slow and not great. Got the feeling we were an inconvenience eating there at lunch time. The service was friendly, but food came out slow. They could've been a little more attentive to asking if we needed refills or if we wanted plates cleared. Kids tried the pizza and one said it was too cheesy. That could be a matter of personal preference though. Me personally, I like an unhealthy amount of cheese on my pizza! Visually, it looked perfect. I got the mushroom burger and garlic fries. The burger was pretty tasty and very juicy. The bun could've been a little bigger. The garlic fries were a bit of a disappointment. They were very "heavy" with oil or butter, not sure. As for flavor, there was only a hint of some garlic and I did not see any actual bits of garlic tossed in, just some shredded parmesan. The texture was great, though. They were cooked the way I like them (crispy outside and tender inside). The sampler platter (mozzarella sticks, cheese ravioli, chicken tenders, butterfly shrimp) were all deep fried or cheese filled, so it was also a bit heavy. The chicken tenders were a bit overdone. The butterfly shrimp were good. The others were just ok - not horrible, not great. The marinara, ranch and sweet chili sauces were pretty good. Someone in our party tried the tortilla soup and liked it, though it had a bit of a kick! As far as ambiance, it was quiet at first, but then a few people bellied up to the bar and it got loud. Almost too loud. If the AC was working on the other half of the restaurant (which it was not), I'm sure we could've sat there and avoided the bar folks. The men's room sink looked like it could use a good scrubbing with some CLR around the faucet hardware. The menu was huge - something for everyone I'm sure. Not sure if we will be back. The price for the quality of food presented seemed a little disproportionate. read more

My husband and I took my father in law out for Father's Day lunch. He frequents this place often. The staff is very kind and checks in on you frequently. We ordered the garlic cheese curds, which had nice light breading and great flavor. We also ordered the meat lovers pizza. Cold beer, wide range of beers ,IPA's, pilsner's, Ambers, hazy's. Friendly service, and dogs are welcome outside with water bowls . Great wings and pizza and delicious burgers. Cozy little bar and has a front patio, side patio and a back covered patio. Live music on Friday and Saturday. read more

Really appreciate the customer service here. Michael in particular consistently goes above and beyond--he's attentive, friendly, and genuinely takes great care of you while balancing everything else he has going on. That level of care really stands out and makes a big difference. Their food timing estimates are good, which I always appreciate, and everything feels well run and organized. The pizza is excellent--and clearly made with care. Pair that with a comfortable atmosphere and you end up wanting to come back! I had high hopes for this place. But unfortunately I was very much disappointed. The server wasn't very good: she didn't tell us about the discounted pizza special so we almost ordered the full price one. She got our order wrong, didn't refill the drinks, didn't bring the things we asked for, and just lacked personality. The place wasn't busy so there really wasn't any excuse. This was our first time trying Frends. I honestly believe that the workers want this place to be the local comfortable hangout. They appeared to be giving it their best effort. However, the desire just did not match up with execution. The service and food just missed the mark. They were friendly and engaging at first but refills were slow and I didn't receive a water that I asked for. The food was just okay. It had a cafeteria feel. It needs to be better at the price point. There are places out there that offer better food and better service at the same if not better price point. I hope they improve because I always like a go-to place when I'm in the area. read more

Literally the worst steak salad I've had for $20. Tri tip was supposed to medium rare but end up looking like dried chicken breast, tasted that way too. Lettuce was brown and wilty. Cucumber and radish were probably from last week. First time ordering from here and will be the last time too. Now I have to dump it and find something else to eat. Food was ok. Wings were bland. Limon pepper was just regular lemon pepper seasoning. Too salty. Pizza was doughy and the garlic fries were way to oily. Literally the fries were sitting in a pond of oil. And the service was idk I felt like it wasn't the friendliest. Not once did we get asked if we needed a refill. They didn't check on us. They were going to other tables however they would just skip ours till they notice we were done and ask if we needed anything. At this point I just ask for a to go box and my check because yea I literally felt rushed and unwanted. Also one thing I notice is that they were telling each customer have a nice night merry Christmas and failed to tell us. So yea definitely not wanted there. read more

Discovered this place last Friday night. I loved the ambience of this place. They had live music playing outside in their patio and it was so beautiful. The food was above average for a pub. Have only been there once for dinner, but will return soon. Highlight was the food. Several choices besides typical sports bar items. The bow tie pasta and salmon were spot on and very reasonable in price. Looking forward to the pizzas. Told they were made from scratch with generous toppings. Hope so cuz toppings are a lost art.
