Food was fantastic. A definite cut above chick fil a. I had the bobo Sando which was a hearty, stacked sandwich with good bun (key requirement for me). My daughter had the chicken & waffles. The waffles were well made and tenders had crispy breading.

My kid & I just finished grocery shopping at Safeway and we were hungry. We decided to try Kiki's Chicken Place because it is in the same complex. The restaurant has some table inside and it was pretty full when we were there. I ordered the food at the cashier & in about 10 mins they called me to pick up the food at the counter. - Chicken tenders Tuesday ($1.50): I ordered 5 pieces for me & my kid. The pieces were quite big and they were crispy yet the meat was tender. However, they were flavorless. I had to buy their bbq dipping sauce ($0.50) to eat with the tenders. - Garlic fries: delicious! It was the only thing that we enjoyed and finished. In fact, my kid couldn't stop eating them. The fries were crispy. They put lots of garlic and it was delish! I wish they put more cheese on it. I would go back just for the garlic fries! And maybe I'll try their chicken win P.S. Tuesday: chicken tender is $1.50 each & $0.50 for sauce Wednesday: bone in wing is $1.25 each, boneless wing is $0.75 each & $0.50 for sauce

Service was fairly quick considering it was the lunch rush. I ordered the lemon pepper wings with shoestring fries. The fry on the wings was super crispy and the seasoning was great, but I did think the wings were a smidge dry. Fries were delicious and a really big portion.

The chicken here is always tender and perfect cooked. I wish they had a few more sauce choices.

They don't answer the phone. Point blank. Online ordering menu is not the same as the menu they show on their website. What a joke.

Their staff are so friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant itself is so cozy and charming. I treat myself to this place for breakfast 2-3 times a year, and every time I visit, they seat me quickly and give the best service and consistently great food. I always get and highly suggest Cooter's Country Eggs Benedict. It's Southern biscuits & gravy, but they throw two fried eggs and sausage patties on top of the biscuits before covering it all in gravy and add country fried potatoes on the side. Thankfully, their iced tea is brewed there (none of that awful machine iced tea!), and they serve it in a huge, oversized plastic cup. Best of all, when I was paying my bill, the food server offered to make the tea to go. She got a huge to-go cup and brought it back half-filled with iced tea. I put the rest of what I had in it and was set for the rest of the morning with delicious homemade iced tea! Wonderful service! I've actually been visiting this restaurant since I was a teenager in the early 1980s. My parents used to have breakfast here every Saturday morning. It was still called the Gold Miner Cafè even back then, but different owners, ofc. Everyone in or near Folsom should visit here at least once to see what you're missing! I'm positive you will return when you want a really hearty homemade Southern-style breakfast!

Food deals include half off all appetizers ("smaller") and tavern pizzas (flabreads). Specialty cocktails, wine, and beer are discounted a couple dollars and well drinks are nicely priced at $6. We came around 4:30pm and there was a lot of seating available. The hostess was welcoming and our server Evelyn was great. She had a chill and pleasant attitude and was very efficient with our requests. Kitchen was quick to bring out my poke nachos, and our combo pizza and chicken wings came within 10 minutes. My husband had to send his lemonade back because it was carbonated, but they fixed it right away and it was perfect. The poke nachos was stacked high with crispy wonton chips and diced raw tuna with a spicy aioli sauce throughout. The buffalo chicken wings were sauced just right and still a little crispy. I heard the server tell another patron they can do bbq sauce or naked if you do not want buffalo sauce. The flatbread pizza wasn't as crispy on the bottom as I'd like (probably because of all the toppings) but the edges of the crust were good with a nice chew/crispy ratio. Overall, food was delicious, and at half off, definitely worth it, Since there were only a few patrons in the restaurant at the time, it was fairly quiet, but I've been when it's packed, loud, and lively. Iron Horse Tavern is always a good choice for lunch, dinner, weekend brunch, and especially for Happy Hour!

During that time, they served me a glass of water and I quickly ordered the BBQ Chicken sandwich - I had looked at the menu earlier - with a side of fruit. The sandwich was really great! They served the sandwich with the grilled, chicken breast, bacon, and BBQ sauce with the lettuce, tomatoes, and onions on the side. I'm not a fan of onions, so I did not have those, but it was nice to have the lettuce and the tomatoes have that nice taste when it hasn't been smothered in BBQ sauce or others as it's being cooked by the chicken like other places prepare them. I honestly left satisfied. This place really did live up to the recommendations and reputation it has. Our gym, Positive Impact Fitness always talks about this place and it was really worth it. I shall return in due time.

Biscuit particularly not good as it was doughy, wet , chewy and tasted of too much baking powder. I did like the big chunks of meat. The country potatoes were typical diner quality, but I just don't like country style breakfast potatoes. No substitution offered. Server was efficient if a bit rough around the edges. I sat at the counter. She made sure that I had everything I needed. That's okay, I'm happy enough, don't need a smile from some one who's bringing me food. Oh, yeah just like my old sourpuss mother. Now the value for the dollar issue... The breakfast was $22, the unremarkable coffee was $4.50. After tax and a $5 tip I was out the door for $33. I recently had a wwwwaaaayyy more satisfying breakfast at Mario's Early Toast for half that price. Hot off the griddle is a big improvement over a Denny's. But that's a pretty low bar for judgement. Sorry, no return for me.
