This is the chicken and noodles that I took home and tried to season more
    Teishetta H.

Unfortunately, the food was not good at all. I spent $337 on three chicken and noodle bowls. I wanted everything to be so amazing but the chicken is unseasoned. There's really no flavor. It's very flat the guy the owner. He was a very nice man and I wanted to give a amazing review but after being there for 27 years, I would think the flavor would be amazing.! hello sir how are you? Wonderful wonderful where is he at? He's in a break room. Job.

Beef teriyaki with rice and veggies

This is their perfect lunch spot! I love the teriyaki beef and potstickers especially. Portions are large enough to share or have left overs. Customer service is absolutely amazing as well. The inside is super up to date but I personally care more about the food and service anyway.

We decided to try this place after hearing good thing about it. The restaurant is small but has some tables inside. The menu was simple: choose your protein and choose between plate/bowl/noodle. We ordered and paid at the cashier and the same guy cooked our food. - Chicken plate: chicken was tender & cooked perfectly but it was bland. The teriyaki sauce slathered on top was the flavoring for the protein. The portion was good regarding the price. The salad tasted fresh but the dressing was too much. - Beef bowl: the thinly sliced beef had a nice char but again, the meat was kinda bland. It seems like they put the teriyaki sauce to flavor the meat. They gave quite a big portion of rice underneath. The price was affordable for the portion. The meat was well cooked but it was bland. For me, it was 3.5 stars

Food was decent, but they charge a separate card fee. Why not raise the food price to include it? No one carries cash anymore.

We arrived around 5pm, ordered at the counter and found a table in the back. I loved seeing all of the mystery boxes, trinkets and snacks available for purchase! They also offered a nice drink selection and even ice creams - we purchased one of the way out! I loved the inside - there were lights strung throughout the ceiling and even some greenery as well - the bathroom even had fun murals painted throughout like Dragon Ball Z and One Piece! We ordered Truffle Garlic Edamame, Pan Fried Gyoza, Black Garlic Tonkotsu, Spicy Tonkotsu and a side of thick noodles and broth for my daughter! Everything was fresh and tasty! My only compliant was that I thought my Black Garlic Tonkotsu could have used some spice - that was my error though! The noodles were nice and chewy, the pork was tender and the jammy egg was perfect! We left full and satisfied! I would recommend checking out Umami Ramen if you're in the area or just in the mood for some really good food with a fun atmosphere! We'll be back again!

Ordered 2 ramens and a beer, but the beer was never brought out; notified the waiter/manager about it and he took it off the check which was great. He also offered us and other tables a small sampler plate of the chicken katsu which was delicious. The thing that ticked me was when our ramens came out, we tried the broth and it was nice, but my bf shortly noticed we didn't have any eggs. Took quite a while for staff to notice us for us to call them over. Once we told the waiter (not the guy that brought tables the katsus) he asked us which ramens we ordered to see if they come with eggs, *All of them come with eggs except for kids ramen* and then he asked if we were sure it wasn't there and if it wasn't just buried under our ramen. We were looking at him with our ramen bowls still full to the top shuffling around our noodles to prove to him there's no eggs. Like i get mistakes happen, I wasn't upset about the beer, the no water refills, or the egg missing; it was just the way that waiter questioned us about it that made the meal sour. The food was good, but that interaction with that staff made us realize we could just go to one of the other fukumi restaurants bc the only difference to us was the service. *I even took a photo of the ramen before we realized the eggs were missing

The staff are friendly, the restaurant is clean, I used their restroom and it's clean. I always do this coz this is really important to me. The menu offers a variety of delicious options, and not too pricey. However, I just learned about their AYCE sushi when I read the reviews the next day. Wish we had known before we ordered so that we can try it. We appreciate the experience, attentive service, and their high-quality food. They even put orchid flower on a couple of the plates we ordered as a decor. Some staff recommended for us trying the Chirashi Don bowl or innovative sushi rolls but we declined. The order was ready in about 15 minutes, as estimated. I ordered the Spicy Ramen, but skipped the egg and pork (and requested extra veggies in their place). They did seem to give extra veggies, and the bowl was loaded with spinach and mushroom slices, along with several fish cakes and peppers. The Ramen noodles were cooked well, and I enjoyed eating everything, except the broth itself (not much flavor, and salty, to my taste). My husband looked at photos here on Yelp, and found one labeled "Stir fried veggie udon". That isn't on the online menu, and when I tried to order it, I was told that it was Veggie Udon (which is usually cooked in broth) "stir-fried in Teriyaki sauce" (not on the menu). And indeed it was. He loved it. The Teriyaki sauce was not overly sweet (like many other places). The stir-fry was well done (not oily), with a very good selection of veggies, and some tofu. The veggies and noodles were cooked to perfection. It was a big hit for him. Prices were quite reasonable, and the few people I interacted with were very pleasant. It was a very nice lunch experience.

The spicy edamame was really good too, cooked right and had a nice spicy flavor to them with lots of garlic! We used to be asked if we wanted the veggie noodle spicy or not, when I asked waitress she said it's not spicy. So I was confused because we have always been asked about our preference. I literally crave the spicy version we've always had before. Luckily I had the spiciness from the edamame dish and used some of that on it. They were very busy which is why I didn't reduce my review by a star because they had forgot to refill our water and bring napkins after I had asked for them.

The Lucky 7 was hubby's gave. We both could've passed on the Queen Bee . The lemon on top of the Queen Bee caught us off guard but if you like a lot of lemon on sushi you'll like it. The single chile signal for "spiciness" should probably be 1/2 of a chile. These rolls were not what we would consider spicy (we can take a lot of Creole heat) .
