New Burmese restaurant, the food is decent, the coconut chicken curry needs to be less watery. The fried veggie platter needs to represent what the picture is advertised on the menu. The two noodles are flavorful, it's a bit heavy, you will be full quick.

The best Burmese food I've ever eaten. Period. First time at this establishment and they didn't disappoint. Every dish we tried was so delicious and flavorful. We're gonna have to go back to try the other dishes. A+

Loved the food and service here. Very hearty and flavorful Burmese meals. Loved the chicken curry here. I would definitely go back for this and more. The owner was really sweet to offer some ice cream for dessert:)

Food was EXCELLENT - a delicious balance of spice and flavor - and very filling! We ordered a good variety and everything was equally delicious - fried vegetables (appetizer), chicken curry bento box, soup Mont Hym Khar, and garlic noodles w chicken. We also had the Thai tea, and it was a nice addition. Highly recommend trying this place - it is new to the area, very clean, and the service is friendly.

they just opened this week! :) grand opening will be on March 4th. The people who run the restaurant are incredibly kind and welcoming. it's so great to finally have a Burmese place in the Rocklin/roseville area. the Burmese bento box came with a perfectly fried samosa and the pork was falling apart from how tender it was. perfectly marinated as well. The Shan noodle was a light broth and very refreshing - I highly suggest adding the pickles they provide for a maximum savory punch. Tea leaf salad has a variety of textures to complement a tangy and flavorful punch - almost reminiscent of pesto. the Burmese milk tea is not too sweet but has a distinct flavor that is reminiscent of camellia leaves but has its own effect - a must try! there is a huge variety of food from curries to noodles to noodle soup. we went before grand opening, but the environment is soothing and is very spacious and tables look like they can accommodate large parties. the chef spoke with us and everyone on the staff is incredibly kind and helpful. very attentive and eager to help you pick out a dish is if this is your first time having Burmese food. I believe this place will be an absolutely necessary cornerstone of rocklin/roseville cuisine :)

The reviewers don't lie about this wonderful little Burmese cuisine place. Friends have told us…read moreabout it, and the reviews tell a story too. The location in Loomis is a little off the beaten path (you think you are leaving town), and in a super small strip mall. Step inside and you find a cute little family owned restaurant that will make you wonder "where did I just get transported to?"... A few tables in the front room and a second dining area to the right. It is important to note that you MUST be patient! There is only the owner running the front of house here. She is doing everything. Super friendly, and being as quick as she can to get tables cleared, people seated, orders taken and served. She does all of this with the most wonderful smile and personality. You will immediately fall in love with her. Many of the diners on this particular night already knew her and appeared to have long standing relationships with the family. We came in on a Saturday evening around 5:15pm and the floor was packed. It remained that way until around 6:30pm. I would suggest coming in later in the evening so the 'regulars' can get in and out. Ok, so now on to the food and why the Green Elephant is such a standout. Everything is super fresh, and flavorful with great depth in the sauces. We started with the tea leaf salad, and pork lumpia. Then Panang chicken and spicy garlic pepper pork and an order of rice. We love spicy food, and requested such (she has a spice scale of 1-10). Our mains were a level 7 and that was sufficient to give us good heat without compromising the flavors. She will also bring you a small dish of chili pepper oil if you want even more heat. By the time we were finished, the floor had cleared, so we know now to arrive a little later. But, return we will !!!

A hidden gem in Loomis that truly feels like home…read more This family-owned Thai restaurant is open only for dinner, and you can feel the love in every detail. The owner cooks everything himself, while his wife warmly takes orders -- a beautiful, old-school partnership that instantly makes you feel welcome. The interiors are cozy and thoughtfully done, creating a calm, inviting atmosphere. The food is exquisite, clearly made with care and experience -- flavors that stay with you long after the meal. Yes, there can be long wait times, but it's absolutely worth it. This is not fast food; it's food made with heart. A place that reminds you why small, family-run restaurants are so special Highly recommended if you're in Loomis and don't mind slowing down for something truly memorable.

Our waitress was very friendly and offered our dogs watered and after getting our food, came and checked up on us even though it started getting pretty busy and packed. Burmese chicken curry potatoes 6. Burmese style pad thai with shrimp 7. Garlic and chili shrimp 8. Lemongrass salmon Everything was delicious! I would say the platha and coconut chicken curry dip, Burmese chicken curry potatoes, and the Burmese style pad Thai with shrimp were my favorite out of the bunch. I would come back again if I'm in Davis!

Can't believe it took me this long to write a review for My Burma. Long overdue. The food is excellent and I keep coming back. A few dishes worth calling out specifically: the Tea Leaf Salad, Sesame Chicken, Coconut Rice, and the Pad Thai. Haven't been able to get to anything else on return trips. One note if you're a heat seeker -- the Pad Thai doesn't get very spicy, even when requested. I like extreme heat, so factor that in accordingly. Most people will find it perfectly seasoned. On my last visit I tried the black rice pudding with ice cream. Don't skip it if dessert is on your radar. Dogs are welcome on the patio, which is a great perk. One thing to be aware of: the gate can be a little tricky to navigate -- something to keep in mind if you or anyone in your group has mobility challenges. My Burma has my business. Highly recommend.

If you're in Folsom and haven't tried Burma Lite yet, you're seriously missing out…read more This place has become my go-to, and for good reason. The food is consistently amazing and packed with flavor. The tea leaf salad is a must. Super fresh, crunchy, and unlike anything else around here. The basil chili lamb brings the perfect balance of heat and flavor, and the eggplant is cooked perfectly every time. The sesame chicken is crispy and flavorful. It and the coconut rice balanced the spiciness of the lamb and eggplant perfectly. My wife likes to wash it down with a blue moon. I believe the traditional Burmese beer is similar. Everything I've had here has been solid, and you can tell they actually care about the quality of their food. If you're looking for something different from the usual spots in Folsom, definitely give Burma Lite a try. You won't regret it.

I tried the following: Tea Leaf Salad, Minted Jalapenos Chicken, Burmese Garlic Noodle (with…read moreChicken), and Burmese Indian Rice. The tea salad wasn't as flavorful as one I had elsewhere. I expected more mint flavor from a dish with mint in the name. All in all, no dish was bad, but was not really impressed by anything either. Service was good. Pretty good portions. Not somewhere I'd go out of my way for personally. However, with so many five stars reviews, definitely think you should give Burma Light a try if you're thinking about it!

We decided to get the pad thai, pork belly pad kraw prow, pork ribs appetizer, and gai satay. They first brought out the gai satay and it was delicious. The small tofu cubes in the dish were hard and flavorless. Ntot a dish-ruining offense, but I must say that I didn't know tofu got that hard. Same thing for the pad see-ew. It was quite dry and had a distinctly burnt flavor the first time it came out, it tasted like ash in my mouth. The chicken was rather burnt. The staff was friendly and kindly replaced it for me, but the burnt flavor remained. I think the pan they're using must have been burnt. I didn't think the yellow curry was notable.
