If I could give a 0 I would. Food is disgusting, service is crap. Couldn't even understand the workers. Asked for a receipt because they were speaking a different language when he was ringing me up. He said sorry no receipt?? Wtf is that bull crap. This mall sucks and the food here does too. Don't waste your time and money! $15.00 for this dog food!

I came on a Sunday during lunch and was seated immediately, which was great. However, the service felt off from the start. The person at the front didn't greet us warmly and seemed uninterested. Once seated, our server, a young woman, appeared disengaged and not particularly happy to be there. She spoke very softly and seemed annoyed throughout the interaction. The only time she checked on us was about a minute after the food arrived, when everyone had just started serving themselves. After that, she never came back. We ended up waiting quite a while for the check, and the person at the front ended up helping us. As for the food, it was honestly pretty average. I think there are better Burmese options in the Bay Area now. 3/5 - Roti The dipping sauce lacked flavor, and the roti tasted like it wasn't made fresh. It was hard on the outside and arrived about a minute after ordering. 3/5 - Garlic Noodles with Chicken The noodles were thick and somewhat bland. They weren't served very hot, and the chicken was shredded rather than the style I expected. 3/5 - Chicken Basil Stir Fry It was saucy, but the flavors were muted and didn't stand out. Overall, this location felt like it may have been better in the past. Between the disappointing food and forgettable service, it wasn't a memorable experience. I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars and would likely try other Burmese restaurants before returning.

This time around we decided a 6 page booklet with desserts, entrees, appetizers, etc. went for lunch and had a couple items on their seperate chef's specialties and lunch menu. We are family style and still had left overs for a table of 4. Salt & Pepper fish- yummmmm and great size portion for our table. Complex flavors that were more sophisticated from what you would find at a Chinese restaurant. I love salt & pepper fish and this one was well seasoned. Sautéed eggplant- I don't typically like eggplant cooked this way but I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor. Chicken kebat- really good and went well with our crab fried rice. We had it made mild which went down well with all 4 of us. Crab fried rice- I wasn't a fan of the Tobiko because I felt like it took way from the fried rice. There were such huge chunks of crab visible in the dish but it was majorly overpowered by the chucnks. Mango sago- Delicious. I have to say I've never had mango sago like this with the blended mango and without coco de nato.

I like it so much that I buy the salad toppings and dressing to take home with me. You will not be disappointed if you like Thai food with the kick of a little Indian curry (samosas) and other Southeast Asian influences (yum). I have too many favorites to list: Tilapia Whole Fish; Maylika's Fiery with your favorite protein; Crispy Chicken;Salt & Pepper with your favorite protein; Egg Okra Curry; String Beans; Eggplant Garlic with your favorite protein; Garlic Noodles; and they have wonderful Lassis and Teas.

My group recently had a wonderful dinner at Burma Bay Cafe!…read more We arrived around around 7 PM on a Sunday evening and they were slammed with several large parties. The staff were SO nice and offered to set up a table for us in their back room. They were so kind and accomodating, which we were grateful for because we were starving and the food looked delicious! We ordered a tea leaf salad, Burmese shrimp and beef, and the Nan Gyi Thoke noodles. The food arrived soon after ordering and we were treated to a proper Burmese feast! I loved the crunchy textures of the tea leaf salad, and the shrimp and beef were deliciously spicy. The noodles were also great - the boiled egg was cooked perfectly. The portion size was generous - this was plenty of food for four people! Most imporantly, service was outstanding! Thank you for making our group feel welcomed on an insanely busy evening. :)

The inside has tons of seating available and bright natural lighting. We came on a weeknight during their happy hour (!!), which is 20% off appetizers every week night between 3-6pm. Our party of three ordered mainly apps, and only deviated off that section to try their tea leaf salad :P Fried tofu - crisp and light Coconut chicken with palatha - sweeter curry, loved the flakiness and thicc-ness of the paratha Lamb curry with palatha - hearty curry sauce Salt and pepper chicken - dino nugget-esque with a nice crunch and perfect seasoning and didn't actually need the dipping sauce it comes with. Note: the dipping sauce does contain fish Chicken lettuce cups - fine taste, no notes Veg samosas - fine also, basic Tea leaf salad - ordered for the health and textural crunch. So delicious Service was good. Our waitress was very informative in each dish and also quite attentive with refiling waters. Overall, great meal and would love to return to try their mains.

The drinks are top notch and unique. Their lavender martini is our favorite. But what makes Experience Burma so wonderful is Myat and Jordan, the owners, and the friendly staff. You are family when you come here. They have also been so kind and generous to the Pleasanton community with fundraising nights for the schools and community programs. Our Scouting Troop leaders have been having our holiday party here every year, and they close the place down for us and we take over the restaurant! Everyone, vegetarian and meat eaters alike love it. The restaurant is located within Downtown Pleansaton, which had a decent amount of free parking that was walking distance from the restaurant. Once we were seated, we got the Black Pepper Tofu, Tea Leaf Salad, and Garlic Noodles. I unfortunately couldn't find the photo I got of the garlic noodles, but all of the food was great. We especially liked the Tea Leaf salad, which was unlike anything we had tried before. Everything also felt reasonable priced from what I could recall as well, and there were a lot of other decent options on the menu that I'd be willing to try at a later time. Overall a pleasant experience, especially since it was our first time trying Burmese food. I'd be more than happy to return again.
