First time here. Nice place with a few tables. Quick service and staff is very attentive. Food is good. Portions are just right. Seems they have a large takeout clientele. The food we ordered was fine. Nothing amazing, just good and comfy. I would go back again if the people I was with wanted to go back.

Service was 10/10. They greeted me and there was no wait. Got me water and asked if I was ready to order. They were so accommodating to allow me to order from the kids menu. Presentation 10/10. Lots of food for your buck. When visiting the area I would definitely eat here again. Recommend 10/10

I ordered the Pad Se Ew and the Crispy Bread to-go. For $10.95, the Crispy Bread is not enough and is over priced. The Pad Se Ew with chicken has a nice flavor, but is not enough for two servings. The people are nice and I continue to come here when the other Thai place is closed. Thank you

The food was great! I consistently order Tom Yum (which is delicious!), but decided to try something different- Pad See Ew. I was completely surprised. I don't normally eat any noodles but I will be having this again! The meat was tender, the vegetables al dente and the sauce was perfectly seasoned. The staff is super sweet and friendly too. The restaurant is small and intimate but an accommodate a family easily.

Decided to try somewhere new and was very impressed. Service was fast. Food was delish! Cute little place to eat. Everyone was happy with what they ordered. Will come again to try other food on the menu.

If you're looking to check out an old favorite with new : ownership and fresh, exciting flavors, Kum Ruen Thai in Fairfield is a must-visit. The owner Patty is the sweetest is also one of the chefs at the restaurant. Our dining experience was incredible, with a menu that showcased bold spices, rich flavors, and comforting textures. Here's what we ordered. Appetizers Crispy Shrimp Rolls: Perfectly crunchy and filled with juicy shrimp, these rolls were a great start to our meal. Chicken Satay: Tender, grilled chicken paired with a heavenly peanut sauce and a sweet-tangy cucumber salad. The flavors were balanced and comforting. Main Dishes 1. Beef Noodle Soup (Northern Style): Served without veggies but with plenty of fresh cilantro, the broth was deeply flavorful and satisfying--a great representation of Northern Thai cuisine. 2. Crab Fried Rice: A standout dish! The rice was light and fluffy, and there was a generous amount of crispy crab throughout. This dish alone is reason to visit again. 3. Shrimp Drunken Noodles: Mildly spiced but still packed with flavor. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the shrimp added a lovely touch. 4. Spicy Prawns & Scallops: Served in a flavorful broth, this dish is versatile enough to enjoy on its own or spooned over steamed rice. It was a seafood lover's dream. 5. Yellow Chicken Curry: Warm, comforting, and rich with perfectly cooked chicken, this curry was pure bliss. The balance of spices made it ideal for cooler weather. 6. Kids Pad Thai: The kids' meal included Pad Thai, an egg roll, and potstickers, with a surprisingly generous portion. It's a great option for families dining with little ones. Desserts: Mango Sticky Rice: Absolutely delightful! The rice was perfectly sweetened, complementing the natural sweetness of the mango. It didn't overpower, making it one of the best we've had. Fried Bananas with Honey: My personal favorite dessert of the evening. Crispy on the outside, soft and creamy inside, and drizzled with just the right amount of honey. Pair it with ice cream for the ultimate indulgence. We left Kum Ruen Thai feeling full, happy, and with "the itis" from such a satisfying meal.

Kumruenthai is located in kind of a strange area that's out of the way. It's a bit near the Crunch gym on Oliver. I came on a Sunday evening around 6-7PM and it was very empty. My boyfriend and I were the only customers there. We ordered the chicken satay, tom yum soup with prawn, and the seafood claypot. Our server advised us how to eat the chicken satay (eat it with the pickles on the side) and it was a great combo. The tom yum soup was good, but the bowl was a bit small from what I'm used to at other Thai restaurants. The soup was flavorful from the aromatics and the shrimp wasn't overcooked. We enjoyed the claypot rice, the seafood tasted fresh and it went well with steamed rice. There was a homeless person who came into the restaurant asking for a bite to eat and the servers/workers whipped up something for him free of charge. Very kind of them.

Great service, food was delicious! We didn't wait that long for the food. We had pad thai, yellow curry, larb gai salad and a sweet potato appetizer. Yum! One room had more traditional Thai decor and another room has a wall decor for fun photos. I went here with others for my birthday dinner, and I would definitely return in the future!

Me and my friends enjoyed their beautiful place with the amazing service. Love their tasty and delish food. Their refreshing Thai tea is a must. Definitely a place to visit again with family and friends

Truthfully it's closer to a 3.5, but Yelp won't let me do half reviews. I had no idea this spot was here and kind of came on a whim. It has a very homey feel to it all and the place isn't very big. We ordered the shrimp fried rolls, pad Thai with beef and yellow chicken curry. I enjoyed them for the most part, but the yellow curry was a little different for me and wasn't exactly my favorite (it's cooked in a slightly different style from what I'm used to). The pad Thai was very good though. Not a bad spot, but with so many Thai restaurants in this area I'm hard pressed to return here, but may do it if I'm feeling like trying other things off the menu.

I tried Thai Orchid for the first time a couple of months ago. I thought the food was decent, just a little bit on the sweet side for me.

The only thing that upsets me about Hot Stone, is the fact that it took me almost 6 years to try it…read moreout. Had dinner on a Friday night with my husband and son. We did the AYCE and I definitely got my money's worth. The service was courteous and prompt. The ambiance was typical for a K-BBQ spot- the open floor plan makes for a slightly louder place, but at least the music was not blasting so loudly that conversation was hindered. The menu has meat and other dishes that can be ordered a la carte, if all you can eat is not your thing. (Or if you don't want to have to grill your own meat.) We ordered: -Pork belly (regular, thin sliced, and soy garlic. All great, but the thin sliced has always been my favorite). -Marinated beef (tasty). -LA ribs (well marinated and not too salty). -Bulgogi and the Hawaiian bulgogi (the Hawaiian was good and I like the pineapple chunks to grill,, but preferred the regular because it was less sweet). -Shrimp (head and shell on, be prepared to peel and de-vein after grilling). -Marinated baby octopus (one of my son's favorite things he had there). Some highlights that will bring me back: -Sliced pickled radish to wrap the meat for a low carb option. -Glutinous rice paper to wrap the meat (nice and chewy texture, great touch to the marinated meat). -ALL of the banchan was spot on. Zingy kimchi, firm broccoli, not too sweet fishcakes, and seasoned bean sprouts were among our faves. -Last but not least, the crispy chicken wings. Crispy like Korean fried chicken should be with delicious sauces (we tried the sweet and spicy, and the soy garlic). Worth it to come back just for that. We will definitely be going back soon!

I wanted to do the original since if it was saucy it might lose the crunch along the way over. The biimbap was pretty good. I liked the sesame of the veggies and mix of ingredients. I'd want more of the mushrooms and greens though for the price of things. The tofu also were lightly fried with a thin starch on the outside which didn't travel well honestly. The chicken held up well though, still being crunchy. The seasoning was nice with bits of herbs shredded over it. In light of this, getting a sauce or flavor to dip things in would've been great though I don't remember if it was an option when I was originally ordering. The banchan was in a packed and worked well enough for the meal. Flavors still worked out well for the food, I'd be interested to see what the rest of the menu tastes like.
