The perfect example of a place that went viral and it matches the hype! My friends and I met up for a day out in the country and what a fun time, the property and food blew us away. Such a quaint little spot! If you like olive oils and balsamic vinegars, come and do a tasting reservation. The restaurant has a wonderful assortment of different dishes and drinks, they have a full bar as well! The margaritas were on point, they are not overly sweet. We shared the big charcuterie board for the three of us and it was plenty, had left overs actually. The weekend prix fix meal is a deal with the perfect portion. If you are road tripping or just wanting to try something new in the bay area, go take a field trip out there! Enjoy my friends ()

What a great experience for learning and tasting the process of fresh milled olive oils. The scrumptious tastings of several varieties as well as tasty bites gave my palate the wonderful opportunity to savor the flavors of Northern California. An experience that anyone visiting should enjoy. The bistro has wonderfully crafted plates that furthered the culinary experience. Plan ahead and schedule your trip!

We were seated in the patio overlooking my the garden. It was a beautiful day. We watched butterflies visit the flowers and saw guests on ours of the property. We have driven by Il Fiorello for years and have never made the time to stop. I belong to their email distribution and when they mentioned crab rolls, I immediately made a reservation. We arrived at our reservation time and were seated promptly. We had excellent service and loved the food. My pasta dish was divine. I didn't try the crab roll but my husband said it was good. We stopped by the gift shop and picked up some gifts for family and friends. We had a lovely afternoon and hope to stop by again really soon!

My wife's been saying "we have to try that place" for a decade, and folks... she was RIGHT. This spot is out of this world. The food: Farm-to-table doesn't even cover it. Everything is stupid fresh, bursting with flavor, and those gorgeous "dirt accents" -- aka veggies that actually taste like they were pulled from the earth this morning -- had us speechless. Every bite felt like a love letter from the farm. The vibe: Dog friendly!!! Our pups got the VIP treatment, which means we're basically moving in. We're already planning next week's visit. And every week after that. The secret weapon: Devon. That man is a gentleman and a legend. He doesn't just greet you -- he welcomes you straight into his heart the second you walk in. Service like this is rare, and it made the night. I'm literally obsessed and can't shut up about this place. If you haven't been yet, cancel your plans and GO. We'll be the regulars at the corner table with our dogs under it. Just add to all these ages of acres of olive trees and vegetables

My girlfriends and I love coming here. My friend found this hidden gem in Fairfield and we've been back 4-5 times since then. On our first visit we did the olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting. I haven't done one before and definitely learned a lot. I believe on our second or third visit we met the owner and she invited us to check out how they make their olive oil across the parking lot in their production area. It was pretty neat to check out what happens behind the scenes. We have dined at their restaurant a couple times and the food is always excellent. I went there today for lunch and ordered the Mezzi. It's a pasta dish and it was cooked to perfection. The rigatoni was cooked Al dente just the way I like it. To drink I got the Il Fiorello lemonade which was good. It had just the right amount of tartness to it and it wasn't too sweet. Our server was fantastic and friendly. The one small complaint I have is the payment process. The bill they bring to your table is the one where you have to sign and tip on, not the second receipt like restaurants normally do. Our server mentioned it but we didn't know what she was referring to at first. We wanted to leave her a good tip but she said she would have to refund everything and start over so we decided to buy another drink. I hope this system gets fixed so the servers get their proper tips. I'll be back though in the future because I enjoy coming here.

Hubby and I discovered this place and decided to have a date here by signing up for the olive oil and basalmic vinegar tasting tour. We were greeted immediately and introduced to our tour guide, David. He took us to another room with a tv, lots of tables and chairs very spacious and open with huge windows looking out. There was tons of natural light in the room which I always appreciate. For the next hour or so, David showed us a few video presentations as well as guiding us through tasting the different olive oils they make on site along with a basalmic vinegar. He educated us on their process and how they came to be Il Fiorello. He also showed us how we can use the oils and basalmic vinegar to enhance our food! That was so interesting and fun trying new stuff out. Hubby and I had a great time and David answered all our questions and shared some history about his time there as well. Once our tour was over, we wanted to eat at the bistro they have on site. We decided to get the prix fixe menu of ciabatta tri tip and gelato along with pork ragu. I also ordered their gin martini. We got to meet the marketing director who shared that they also have cooking classes and a couple more slots are available for December. Hubby and I may look into the cooking class. Our food came out all at once and we tried it all. I enjoyed the pork ragu but I am a fan of pasta and that was delicious. The sandwich and quinoa side was just ok but huge! Hubby and I split one half of the sandwich. We took the food home and ended up eating our gelato with olive oil on the way home and that was so delicious!!! We can't wait to get more of the gelato. We ended our afternoon by heading to the gift shop to purchase some olive oil and basalmic vinegar that we tried during the tasting. It was a great time we had here and look forward to coming back to do the mill tour and cooking classes.

A beautiful place to taste delicious olive oil and have a bite to eat tucked away amongst other random vineyards in Suisun County. We randomly stumbled across Il Fiorello while looking for something to pass the time in Fairfield. While we missed the last tasting of the day, we ordered a charcuterie board and were able to get a couple of samples of some of their best olive oils. We sat on the back outdoor patio with our dog, who all of the staff were super friendly with. Devin was our server and was super knowledgeable about the various olive oils he brought us- each of them came with a story, which was fun. We'll definitely be back here when we have more time, and hopefully to get in an actual tasting.

I love this place. It has a great lil video that tells you the origins of the oils and what makes them stand out from other olive oils. Their tastings are fun and surprising. If you haven't had vanilla ice cream with a tad of citrus olive oil, then you are missing out. This is a great place for outdoor fun too.

Highly recommend this place. Take your partner for the tour and make reservations for the bistro. Absolutely 5/5 stars. Will be back!

After the visit, we beelined to Sonoma Harvest. Unbeknownst to us, the shop was closing in 10 minutes though. (Yes, they have posted hours outside but I didn't look before I went in). The associate enthusiastically welcomed us in and politely told us we are welcome but closing in 10 minutes. So I told here it was our first time and was just going to take a quick look. She and the others was closing but she multi tasked and spoke to us. As I did my self guided world wind tour of the space; she was engaging and spoke about the olive press, operations and offerings. She didn't have to speak to us, but did anyway. Definitely bookmarking to come back in the near future. They offer wine and olive oil & balsamic vinegar tastings. They have over 20 flavors of olive oil. That's a lot! Additionally they have a curated line of artisanal and local sourced tapenades, jams, jellies, honey, and gift items. I sampled a few infused olive oils, yum. The interior is beautiful. The vibe is family friendly. The current hours of operation are 12pm-4pm Thurs-Sun.

Had a family friend visiting Sacramento for the first time from Texas, and I wanted to give her something "California" and "farm-to-table" and nothing terribly perishable or hard to transport in carry-on luggage (like olive oil or honey). I immediately thought of them for their fruits and nuts! Ikeda's Davis was my second pick, but not much on their online store. It was super easy and convenient to place an online order on the Cal Yee Farms web shop, and I went with the "Deluxe Gift Basket" (Item# 3001) which had: [Dried] Apricots, Pears, Nectarines, Peaches, Prunes, Tangy Peaches-Pear Rolls, Cranberries, and Roasted and Salted Pistachios ($55+S&H). Order placed on a Wednesday, email order confirmation received. I called the next day to ask about information regarding order-specific shipping speed/times/tracking, and the lady had shipped it out Thursday for Friday arrival in Elk Grove. Awesome! It did arrive on Friday in great condition. Apologies for not having a photo of the actual basket it came in. I've not yet been to the farm in person, so I can't comment on the ambiance of the store, but I do mean to check it out in the future. You can also order by phone. Note that they're only open M-F, 8A-5P.

A full-circle visit with flavorful dishes and a memorable return after 17 years…read more I hadn't been to Johnny Carino's in about 17 years -- the last time I was here, I was pregnant with my daughter. What stood out to me back then was that it was one of the few meals I could actually eat and keep down during that time, so coming back with her for an early dinner felt like a true full-circle moment. We were seated right away in the bar area, and our waitress was very kind and attentive. The menu has a little something for everyone, which made it easy to find options we'd both enjoy. I started with the Italian wedge salad, which came with candied pecans and the usual toppings. What I appreciated most was that it didn't have an overwhelming amount of raw red onions, which can sometimes take over a wedge salad. It was well balanced and really enjoyable. For my entrée, I had the lasagna, which was flavorful, saucy, and satisfying. I would have liked a bit more cheese, but it wasn't a dealbreaker. My daughter ordered the cheese ravioli with Alfredo sauce along with a vanilla Italian soda with cream, which she really enjoyed. The complimentary bread service was also a highlight -- served with olive oil that had pieces of roasted garlic. We added balsamic vinegar, and it was delicious. I had the blackberry iced tea, which was refreshing and paired well with the meal. Overall, this visit was a great reminder of why this place has stuck with me over the years. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to -- and not waiting another 17 years next time.
