I finally got the chance to check this place out! I love hitting up random roadside stands whenever I'm on a solo road trip--it's honestly the best. I was on my way to Sacramento and got a serious craving for a snack, so since I'd heard about the tamales in the Dixon area, I just had to pull over and grab a few. I tried the chile cheese one right there in the car, and it was pretty good! The cheese was definitely interesting, though--it didn't really melt, but it had a nice, solid bite to it. I'm guessing they use that kind so it doesn't get all messy, especially since they keep them nice and hot all day and have them all wrapped and labeled individually. They've got a bunch of handmade candies, and all the fruit and produce looks so fresh! You should definitely make a stop and check out the pickle section. I was on my way home from the bay and needed to make a pit stop. Get out stretch, bathroom and a little shopping to get me though the rest of the trip. This was actually my 2nd stop of the trip. The first stop was in Fairfield at Lowes. Another solid stop. As I was driving to Pedrick I made a mental note to myself of what I could get that was useful. I wrote on my list onions as they are only 89 cents for the yellow ones and a great deal. Also on the list were their pork tamales for a quick lunch when I got back. As it turns out when I got home my husband thought the same thing and stopped at McDonalds and got me a fish sandwich so I wan't wanting for food when I got home. Good thing we now have tamales ($2.89 each) for dinner. That's one less meal I have to plan. Lastly the most tasty and pricy purchase was going to be fresh strawberries. I got 3 baskets for $9.99 or close to that. I had some when I got home and they are more tasty than the ones in the grocery store. Though they aren't as good as the ones at the woodland Strawberry festival. Maybe I'm buying them off season. I was here July 15, 2026 around 12:30pm. On my way out I noticed the half price items on the cart out front. Lots of items were 99 cents or half off. You're not sure of the regular price so I wasn't sure if it would still be a good deal or not as could we actually eat that much. I picked up a bag of 2 heads/stalks of broccoli and a bag of zucchini, maybe 7 in the bag. I first took my haul to the car before checking out again. As it turns out the Broccoli and Zucchini were under $2 together. What a deal. The Tamales have gotten better. They have a new supplier and now there is less masa and more filling. They started off good, then they went really went down hill fast. They were all masa and little filling. It was really bad and we stopped buying them. We I saw they were packaged differently I inquired if they had a new supplier and the said yes, someone more local, I forgot exactly where they said they were from. We gave these new tamales a try and were happily surprised. The price over the years has really gone up in price too. The bathrooms are a great relief. This is a perfect stop for us on our way to and from the bay. They have 2 plumbed bathrooms and 2 outhouses. I had to use the outhouse last time as we got there before they opened and they were still cleaning the bathrooms after they opened. It wasn't that bad. The cleaning truck was just pulling away when I used the port o potty so I wasn't the first user after they cleaned it. I am just thankful that they have bathrooms and you don't have to make a purchase to use them. Tortillas are the best here. They are locally made and we love them. So much better than ones they sell at Raley's. Even though they are homemade they still last a while without going moldy. We've never had them mold on us. With the great deals on produce, great tortillas, and the bathroom situation we will continue to make this our stop. Between the two of us we are here nearly every week so we are always well stocked in produce and tortillas. read more

I will always love Pedrick's for a few reasons that aren't just about the high quality produce they sell or the incredible collection of hot sauces that they sell or the really good tamales they sell there as well. Those are all very valid reasons to love this place alone,but for me this place has a few sentimental reasons that I enjoy them and value them so much. One I remember when my children were quite young and they would stay at their grandmothers in the Bay Area for days at a time and when we did the kid exchange it was always done at the Pedricks parking lot and then the kids and I would walk into the market and they would each pick out a treat-I cherish those memories. The other thing I think about Pedrick is way back when,during the time when the Covid-Era lockdown was coming to an end,I remember the 1st day they told us we could begin going outside again,the very 1st place the wifey and I drove to was Pedricks. We jumped in the car in Natomas and beelined straight for some fresh fruit and veggies and whatever other treats we could find that day at Pedricks.It was such a joy to see them open and fully stocked that day,I might as well have been going to Disneyland,we were so happy to see people again. Fast forward to today and I find myself going here about once a month,whenever I'm either driving to or from the Bay Area usually visiting relatives. It's a great spot to pick up the freshest and tastiest fruits and veggies to bring to events. I am also a certified ChiliHead,so their vast collection of hot sauces is unmatched in the area-a true must stop spot for anyone who considers themselves a hot sauce connoisseur. Yep other things that really stand out at Pedricks is their wide variety of fresh nuts available for purchase-they truly have so many varieties and flavors at pretty decent pricing. I also really enjoy their candy selection,I truly need to use extreme discipline when I gaze upon their candy offerings as they have so much and as much of a sweet tooth as I have,I have to learn often to just say no and walk away-I'm glad it's here though. I love, love, loved this little shop! So much that we made a point to visit twice while I was in town. We were lured in by a roadside sign promising tamales, but what we found here was so much more. In addition to tasty tamales, they have all kinds of produce, snacks, and candies. I even grabbed a bag of peanut brittle for my mom back home--it was a hit. I am so glad we decided to stop here while en route to San Francisco from Sacramento. Located off I-80, I was surprised at how many other motorists had decided to exit this small off-ramp in order to also visit this store. The parking lot was PACKED!! We had some spare time and saw all the signs from the highway I thought we should check it out. There's a lot of open farmland around Fairfield and figured everything they sold in the market was fresh from their farm, but when I asked the salesclerk, he said it was not. Some items are shipped in. The cost of the produce is about the same as what you would get at your regular grocery store. However, they had different items and of course it's limited. They sold fresh tamales, which made it a little different. They also sold ice cream from Fenton's. The girls chose pumpkin flavor because it was seasonal, they thoroughly enjoyed it. Unlike most people I was not super impressed with this place but I wanted to give it a try since I've heard so much about it. There is a wide selection of produce and other things like seasoning and sauces that may not be sold in stores. The place itself is pretty small.
