We stopped in specifically for the tamales. We saw the signs while driving on the freeway and had to stop. They charge extra for a small thing of salsa. The lady that rang us up overcharged us for the salsa, but I didn't realize it until I left. They had some outside seating in case you wanted to eat there. Oh, we also bought some homemade ice cream. I didn't care for the peach one I picked out but my daughter loved the ice cream she picked out. The employees were nice and the market was clean.

The Dixon Fruit Market is a perfect place to stop to pick up fresh fruit, seasoned popcorn and Kettle corn, honey with the honey comb inside, bagged candy, bagged dried fruit and beautiful cutting boards of all shapes and sizes wrapped with dried fruits. They make a wonderful gift for the holidays. The store is clean and bright with so many items to choose. Friendly and helpful staff. Ez and JJ will answer all of your questions. They can ship whatever items you choose at the Dixon Fruit Market to your friends and family. This market is a much see! Julie A

Fruits on fruits! But the Tamales here are so good and worth the stop! Service was nice. Very well stocked with nuts, candies and then some.

This market offers a wide selections of dried fruits and nuts, perfect for all your baking needs. Bought some organic Brazil nuts , tequila pistachios, and sea salted caramel pops. We experience good customer service.

Great selection of nuts, dried fruit, jams, popcorn, Candy, some fresh fruits depending on the season. Usually send these as good holiday treats to family out of state. Also some other random things like salsas, hot sauces.

Bad grapes that were just purchased on that day!

I have been to the Dixon fruit market a few times and loved the quality of the fruit. I drive 30 mins away as I enjoyed the fruit and the service. I do not know what happened! New staff were there that I have not interacted with before. I had to keep looking through the fruit to find something that did not have mold on it. I finally picked grapes that looked good. I get home and start eating the grapes and most are soft and had a few mold spots on them. I purchased plums and find most of the soft! It was a waste of $47 for my total purchase! They just lost me as a customer!

I remember buying fruits from there when the CUESA farmers market was at the back of the Hyatt Regency Hotel as it was named back then. You get the drift. Various family members and friends man their booth on Tuesdays and Saturdays at the Ferry Farmers Market in San Francisco with the owners present Saturdays. My preference used to be shopping on Tuesdays to avoid the crowds and hustle bustle tourists. Due to the dwindling selection Tuesdays and a lesser crowd due to the pandemic, Saturdays are not as bad as normal, not to say I like it this way. On the first Saturday in March, I noticed that a few customers buying some flowers and, with Chinese New Year just wrapping up and the Cherry blossom season about to start, I bought a bunch for my family. They turned out to be peach blossoms (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=wdzZ2zYvI1lC-nB5zGEyOQ&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q); my mom and her caregiver immediately recognized them and I, being the naiive one, felt like I just learned how to change a lightbulb. They are a nice addition to our living room with some of the Chinese New Year's plants withering away and my Costco tulip plant already blooming and long gone. With it being March, a tweener time fruits wise, they no longer have a stand on Tuesdays and likely will not be back until April when stone fruits begin to be harvested. Apricots, peaches, nectarines are the probably next to hit the market. And with the warmer weather, the increasing number of vaccinated people, and a general feeling of somewhat normalcy, things are beginning to look a little brighter now. Before you know it, it'll be cherry season. Can't wait!

It was busy with lots of visitors from little kids to college students to grandparents. We went at Halloween time, so there was also a pumpkin patch. You pay at a cashier station at the front & receive a hand stamp. Children up to 12 years are $6, while 13 years+ are $4. However, for each paid child admission, an adult gets in for free. You then walk to the gate entrance of the barn area & listen to some instructions from staff about handling animals & not running, supervising younger children, etc. No food or drinks are allowed, so a lot of bottles were left in a hay bale area by the entry. We were able to get up close & personal with chicks, chickens, ducklings, ducks, geese, turkeys, goats, ponies, a calf, piglets, bunnies, a donkey, & kittens! Little one really enjoyed getting to groom the small goats with available brushes & combs. The goats just wandered the enclosed area. Most animals were in pens you could enter or reach into. There's some signage about the animals & protocols/warnings for how to interact with them, such as making sure to be sitting on hay bales while holding animals securely & closing gates. Staff went around to correct people who weren't following safety rules. You can spend as much time as you want seeing all the animals. At times we had to be patient waiting for a turn. Occasionally we saw the chicks being swapped out to get a rest from the petting. The animals were fairly docile & quiet. Apparently the animals are for sale. A hand washing station is off to the side of the barn.

For those of you that don't know, Winters is a smaller farm town located in a more rural part of Yolo County. It lies east of Lake Berryessa, north of Vacaville, and west of Davis as its town is adjacent to the Putah Creek. Located directly on Grant Ave (Hwy 128), this fruit stand is a standalone business with no other neighboring businesses in the area. They offer a small parking lot; however it is unpaved and has loose gravel directly outside. Regular business hours are 11am-5pm Wednesday through Monday as they are closed on Tuesday. I had the opportunity coming here as I was passing through and decided to stock up on some fresh fruit. I've got to say that the fruit selection here was quite impressive as they had a generous amount of peaches, oranges, nectarines, apples, lemons, limes, grapefruit, and squash. There was also an abundance of walnuts, cashews, almonds, dates, and figs as well as numerous jars of honey (in all flavors), almond/oat/pistachio butters, olives, and olive oil. During my visit which was during the morning of Saturday 6/17/2023 at around 11:30am, I ended up getting several spring snow-white peaches, honey crisp apples, and a jar of almond butter to take home with me. The three ladies working behind the table were in an upbeat mood that were very friendly during my short visit. Considering this place started over 100 years ago in the 1920's (in Sunnyvale, CA), they have come a very long way while mastering the art of growing only the freshest fruits from their fields. All in all, "Winters Fruit Tree" scores a unanimous five-star rating from me as the selection, freshness of the fruit, reasonable prices, and above average customer service all scored high marks in my book. So if you're ever passing through the Winters area, go check them out!
