Because it is ripened on the trees and harvested right there on the property, it is so flavorful and delicious! The stand is open every day during the season except Wednesday and the flats are $12 each ($20 for the mixed flats). They accept card, cash, and Venmo, and they always have the most friendly people working there. My kids are always asking to go get more!

While I didn't buy any of their…read moremushrooms, I did buy a 2 lb bag of Fuyu persimmons and a couple of large, beautiful sweet potatoes. They had 2 lb bags of those too, but I didn't buy a bag because I doubted I would use it up. I've had commercial sweet potatoes go bad because it's taken me so long to get around to them. True to form, I cooked one tonight, about 3 weeks since I bought it. It hadn't gone bad, probably because it was fresher than the ones from the store. The skin was a dark red, so I was surprised when I opened it and the flesh was a pale yellow. It was so sweet, though, much sweeter than the ones I usually get. I would certainly go back for more of those. I haven't tried the persimmons yet. A couple are on the windowsill ripening and the rest are in the refrigerator. Next time I return to the Berkeley farmers' market I will certainly check out their offerings.

This is the fruit company headquarters - you've probably never been here - but they even have tours I believe. I just peeped through the windows to make sure operations were running smoothly and called it a day - but I'm sure if you want to do more overseeing and quality control checking your more than welcome. I just sent a little package to my family on the east coast. I think its was a beautiful package. Some brandy beans, an amaryllis, a few different decorations and of course a lovely arrangement of fruit. In the era of 'Amazon Christmas' and 'have my secretary send some flowers' I think its important to put a little thought and a personal touch back into the season of giving. Don't you?

We are on a low carb diet and I had a flat of strawberries we couldn't over indulge I froze them and have been putting them through a meat grinder for a fresh and sweet alternative to ice cream. We have frequented this strawberry patch since it first opened. Last year it was business as usual. The strawberry fields were neat and well tended. This year the fields are overgrown, and regardless of the time of day, the gates remain locked, even with signs proclaiming the business is open.

It's nothing big but it's got very nice venders and it's a nice area in a park! Also very stroller friendly here! And some public restrooms to use nearby Got a couple things from a couple vendors and enjoyed everything we got! Everyone was super friendly and helpful for never being there before. There was a good produce variety also! but I didn't get any photos There was plenty of parking nearby so there should never be a problem of finding parking. It's right in downtown so there's plenty to see in the area as well All in all great farmers market and love to support local businesses Would be returning Forsure!

I switch between vendors for produce, but I never leave without stopping at Dosa Delight's and Thanhie's Baked Goods. Thanhie is incredibly talented, always creating new designs, and her macarons are the best I've ever had--especially the Brown Butter one with the Totoro design. On top of that, she's genuinely one of the sweetest businesswomen I've ever met.

It did not have a self checkout and the selection was minimal (only one type of small trash bag and low candy selection) however the service was friendly and helpful and we were in and out quickly. Sprouts as a company is great for pantry items but tends to be only a last or local option for me, as their produce is not very fresh and their selection is smaller than either a Safeway or Whole Foods. If Trader Joes is known for their freezer section then Sprouts is where you come for dry goods. But that being said, I don't often use dry goods, so we were only able to pick up a couple items on our list at Sprouts before having to head to Target so we could call it a day.
