Look for the sign and pick a place to turn off of the road. Berries are great. If you can't find someone, holler. They are probably in back. Prices are written on a whiteboard hanging inside of the shack. Haven't tried any of their other offerings but the berries are good.

Nice little farmers market for local community!…read more They're open every Saturday I believe but don't quote me on that I've never been to this farmers market but I was very pleasantly surprised. It's nothing big but it's got very nice venders and it's a nice area in a park! Also very stroller friendly here! And some public restrooms to use nearby Got a couple things from a couple vendors and enjoyed everything we got! Everyone was super friendly and helpful for never being there before. There was a good produce variety also! but I didn't get any photos There was plenty of parking nearby so there should never be a problem of finding parking. It's right in downtown so there's plenty to see in the area as well All in all great farmers market and love to support local businesses Would be returning Forsure!

I love buying my fruits and vegetables from the Vacaville Farmers Market on Saturday mornings…read morebecause they're local, free of heavy pesticides, and far higher quality than anything in grocery stores. I switch between vendors for produce, but I never leave without stopping at Dosa Delight's and Thanhie's Baked Goods. Thanhie is incredibly talented, always creating new designs, and her macarons are the best I've ever had--especially the Brown Butter one with the Totoro design. On top of that, she's genuinely one of the sweetest businesswomen I've ever met.

Because these crops are seasonal, this stand is not there year-round. Currently, they are here with oranges and mandarins (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=-eFfCbQuQUpeAVvTGWOy4Q&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q). I bought a small bag as the color was attractive and bright. The mandarins were undeniably juicy but a bit on the tart side. I didn't buy the following week but, if you prefer a strong flavored slightly tart profile, you might enjoy these. Looking forward to the next season for stone fruits to come and prunes to return. They had 2 lb bags of those too, but I didn't buy a bag because I doubted I would use it up. I've had commercial sweet potatoes go bad because it's taken me so long to get around to them. True to form, I cooked one tonight, about 3 weeks since I bought it. It hadn't gone bad, probably because it was fresher than the ones from the store. The skin was a dark red, so I was surprised when I opened it and the flesh was a pale yellow. It was so sweet, though, much sweeter than the ones I usually get. I would certainly go back for more of those. I haven't tried the persimmons yet. A couple are on the windowsill ripening and the rest are in the refrigerator. Next time I return to the Berkeley farmers' market I will certainly check out their offerings.

Visit Date: 07/16/26…read more First impressions here from a non-local of the 2026 version of Benicia's seasonal summer farmer's market. Held every Thursday duing summer from 4 until at least 7:30pm. It was a tad smaller than I thought it would be, covering about 2-3 short town blocks. But, they do pack a lot of booths within this space. Come for the great weather & scenery, an easy stroll, small-town bliss, to connect with community, street musicians, people watch and of course to shop. Even if prices for products & produce--organic or otherwise--are likely equivalent to, or even higher than you can find just about anyplace else. Fruit vendors generously offer free samples, a nice touch. I was hoping for a more preferable choice of hot food vendors, such as a baked potato vendor that I heard had been out here in markets past. But, didn't see them and wasn't impressed with the other offerings this time. Also disappointingly, prices at most of the food stalls aren't clearly posted if at all. And when learned, rival those at full-service sit-down restaurants. For those not in the know or visiting for the first time, both parking & entrance to the market are free. However, parking in the lower blocks of 1st St. where the market is held gets kinda tight, especially towards later hours into the event. Smarter move would dictate getting here early when the market first opens. Market is pet-friendly. Unlike the annual large Peddler's Faire event held once a year in downtown Benicia (usually in August), the farmer's market is free of alcohol serving booths. More a family event-atmosphere. But, it wouldn't be hard either for a patron to dip into one of the nearby streetside restaurants to toss back a few, if they were so inclined. They even had a street masseuse booth set up, although I can't comment on pricing. Porta potty set-up's are only at 1 end of the market near the Marina side. So, that's something to think about for us bladder-compromised folks, lol.
