We drove over an hour to visit your Araceli Farm lavender farm because we were looking forward to taking photos in the lavender fields. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the fields were poorly maintained, with a significant amount of weeds, making them unsuitable for photography and very different from what we expected. We did not take the tour because the condition of the property did not meet our expectations. We also waited for the manager to come speak with us, but no one ever came. Given our experience, we respectfully request a full refund for three people. We also believe visitors should not be charged while the fields are in this condition, as they do not provide the experience that is being advertised. We drove over an hour to visit Araceli Farms, last week, but the lavender fields were poorly maintained and overgrown with weeds. The property looked nothing like the photos or the experience being advertised, so we decided not to take the tour. We paid for an experience that was not delivered and deserve a full refund. Charging visitors for a property in this condition is disappointing and misleading. I hope the management does the right thing and refunds our money. read more

This is one of the cutest places I have ever been to. They are by appointments only so keep that in mind if you are trying to go. And the entrance is a tiny little path just big enough for a car with a patch of dirt for parking. We checked in, inside the barn with a very nice person who is very knowledgeable about the ins and outs of lavender and the operations of the location. Our friends were getting married and they picked this location for the beautiful lavender fields which was not only visually gorgeous but smelled amazing and calmed the body and mind simply being in the vicinity. There were people taking photos for all sorts of things, from maternity photos to family portraits to visually appealing instagram photos, to getting married on the fields. Our friends who was getting married, was given beautifully handpicked lavender bouquets for the occasion and we were the last party to leave with no hassle for the occasion. They sold many different things in the barn and it was hard not to buy lavender flavored things and scented things to bring home but we have a cat so we couldn't, since lavender is toxic to them. I cannot stress enough how gorgeous this place is and how calming it was to just be there. Even if you don't have a special occasion, and need a place to be and take in the lavender fields, I recommend coming here and checking it out. Just remember it's by appointments only. read more

Such a cute experience! We did the lavender picking add-on and I believe it's worth it. They have some cute photo op spots and sell breakfast and lunch box's as well if you don't bring your own lunch. The lavender lemonade was yummy as well. I visited Araceli on June 24, 2023. Most of the lavender was at its prime, you might have one more good weekend. They have a few different types of lavender including white and culinary. The culinary lavender reached it's prime and has for the most part been picked. As others have said if you put the address in maps you'll end up at the wrong place, you'll end up at the family home and there isn't an entrance there to the lavender field. Drive around the field to Midway and you'll see an unmarked dirt road and this is the entrance! At least it was unmarked when I was there, perhaps the sign had fallen down. There are a few different options for experiences. It seems a little silly to pay $18 just to see the farm, there isn't any tour. I did u-pick for $25 and did also purchase the chocolates which were caramel and didn't taste much like lavender. The cookies were delicious though. They have a few items such as lotions and oils for purchase. This farm isn't as manicured as other flower farms, it's quite natural with many weeds. They don't use chemicals at all. Dogs are welcome but not in the fields. They have a large grassy area and picnic tables. We went first thing in the morning and arriving at 8 am we pretty much had the place to ourselves. read more

Araceli Farms is a magical place for photo taking and picnics. We had recently gone to the farm, a week before they were going to close up for the season, therefore the flowers weren't as bright or lush as they would be in June. Regardless, we got some amazing photos among the lavender. The reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is because finding the entrance was very difficult for a first-timer. GPS will lead you right to the gate of the family's private home, where they had placed a sign to enter on Midway. We circled around 5 times trying to find the entrance, expecting there would be some sign or staff member directing people. There's no phone number on Google, and their website does not explain the parking situation. It does state on the website that there is a staff member who will direct people where to park, but no one was around. When you drive by on Midway, you will see a small sign that reads "Exit Only." This is where the entrance is. You pay for admission on their website and it ranges from $10 and up. The $10 ticket grants you entrance and you're able to hang around the farm, take as many photos as you want, shop, set up a picnic, or play cornhole. There are several tables where you can sit down and also 4 blankets including pillows on the grass if you have to have a traditional picnic. I loved looking at the lavender products they had in their shop and we purchased a bundle of lavender for $15 and lavender lemonade. It was an extremely hot day, so the lavender lemonade really hit the spot. read more

Araceli Farms is an east day trip from the East Bay and a relaxing excursion during the lavender bloom. I follow them on Instagram, where they share how the bloom is looking, plus special events and farm updates. I purchased a farm visit ticket for entry on a Saturday morning. I opted to do the cheaper option, which didn't include U-Pick. They offer farm visits with and without that and it's about an $8 price difference. For me, it wasn't about the money, Just that had picked a bouquet elsewhere the week prior. Arriving around 9:30, it was perfect. Only 2 other cars and still nice and cool out. I had the fields practically to myself and got some nice pictures without having other guests in them. The shop was cute, but a few items were sold out. They were kind enough to sell me their last lavender scrub by breaking it up from a pre-packaged gift set. I was hoping to score some lavender honey but it was sold out. Entrance to the farm is a bit hard to see-there is signage but it's small and low to the ground. I missed it on my first pass... Really cute farm with small batch products, scenic views and the relaxing aroma of lavender. I'll definitely check them out again next season. read more

I recently visited with my husband and I had a blast! They have the perfect backdrop for beautiful photos, so make sure you have someone to snap those photos for you...or a tripod is a great option too. They have a variety of lavender to pick from and Justina was so sweet to go through the history of the lavender and the farm. We were able to pick two full bunches of lavender and that was a great experience; aside from the bees and there are A LOT. So be aware and careful. I would suggest going early morning or in the evening because there isn't much coverage in the farm and it can get pretty hot. Also, their website offers a private session/time for visitors to come in and take photos...I honestly thought it was fine taking photos while there was a huge group there. I was able to find several rows empty and we were able to take your time. read more

Visited here over the 4th of July weekend, and it was pretty cool! Since it was end of season lavender was a more subdued purple-- if you want to go at it's best, come in June when lavender should be a richer purple. The u-pick is very reasonable, at $20 you can fill up a normal rubber band of lavender. It's more than you could easily use anywhere, and you can mix up the types of lavender you get. For photos, the place is good for kids, or if you want a close up near the lavender. I was hoping for an immersed in a field of lavender photo, but you can always see stuff on the sides. Other things to note: there can be bees. The day was windy so there was less bees. I wanted a less windy day, but I wouldn't trade off for bees. Parking was easy. I'd also suggest skipping on the full experience ticket. At $65 ($40 more than normal ticket), you get a box of some goodies and a lemonade. There wasn't any additional experience at all. Overall would recommend the place for u-pick lavender and photos. read more

I absolutely loved my visit to Araceli Farms! The smell of this place is divine. It's pretty easy to find, and not too crowded when I went. You make reservations beforehand online to book a time to go. I recommend going earlier rather than later so it's not so ridiculously hot out. The lavender blooms in spring- summer, so plan accordingly. I love the little shop that they have as well - They have a variety of lavender items to choose from including delicious cookies! What a wonderful opportunity. I would recommend to to all lavender lover. This is located on a private family farm, so the place is divided by private residence and public lavender fields and gift shop. Don't come a minute early, we had the first time slot and they don't let people in the gate a minute early and there is no where to wait, you have to keep driving around. This is something that would have been good to know. If you want private pictures, sign up for the mid week photographer session, and/or get the first spot on the weekend and shoot pictures fast. If you wait the place will be swarming with people. If you are a great photographer, you can probably get the picture at any time. Think about what you wear, you want something that doesn't blend in. I wore all white, I also saw a picture of a person in a lavender dress. It looked impressive. Check out there gift shop, they have great lavender items. They don't serve ice cream anymore. They do have lavender cookies for $2 each. Very delicious. Light and flakey. I wish I bough a dozen. They also sell lavender lemon aid, tasty, but not as sweet as the cookie. I came here for the first time ever. Someone I know posted it on social media and I had to come check it out immediately before the season is over, as they are only open for a short amount of time. It was such a cute experience (although I came on the hottest day of the week... 109°). I drank lavender lemonade, ate a lavender cookie and sat at a cute little picnic table. They have a little shop where you can take pictures and purchase lavender products. Everyone who works here is very sweet as well. It was so cool to actually see lavender up close and it all smelled so wonderful. The land is well taken care of and I will definitely be returning next year. My only suggestion is make sure you show up like 5min early or just right on time for your time slot. The gate is closed upon arrival until closer to the next time slot, so everyone had to line up on the side of the road. It was a bit chaotic so I wish I'd have known this ahead of time. My mom, my aunt and I love lavender so I decided it would be nice to take them here during Lavender season and wow- what a great idea that turned out to be! Everyone here was so sweet and the woman that helped assist in the U-Pick was so kind and also very informative. We loved learning about all the different kinds of Lavender and seeing all the bees. When summer is here we all want to be out exploring in the sun. Fresh air and flowers enticing us to be out and about. How I remembered there was a local lavender farm that was only miles away. The place of business is hidden, but it's not too hard to find the entrance sign. Keep on down the dirt road to park. The barn is where you check in. If doing the full lavender experience ($70ish per person) as we did you can have the option to have your lavender lemonade and box of offerings anytime during your visit. Yes, the refreshing lavender lemonade is just amazing! My hesitant husband even found it to his liking. The box of offerings will have a tid bit of their history, lavender; cookies, chocolates, recipes, sachet, essential oil, and culinary lavender. The cookie is from a local bakery. It's very light and not excessively sweet. The chocolate is from the infamous Ginger Elizabeth. There is a subtle final taste of lavender that is not overwhelming. I absolutely adore their essential oil. It is potent in the best way possible. A few drops is all it takes to be immersed in relaxation. There is 3 lbs of fresh lavender in their 10 mL essential oil. I use a little in the shower for those long days after work. There's no going back to store bought essential oil! Highly recommend checking out their online store. Pretty as a picture of full lavender of all white and purple variations to ease the mind. They give you background and education of their naturally grown lavender. Found this place on Instagram @aracelifarms! It's best to look there for updates. Really glad they have the farm open for the public, after finding out the sunflower fields that people take photos at were gone in Davis (and a failed trip to find public sunflower fields growing anywhere). For $5 you can come in and hang out for 2 hours, and for $10 you get admission and a small bunch of dried lavender (you get a ticket at entry for the lavender bundle, go to the barn and redeem the bunch). You can purchase tickets online and show them upon entrance. They have different time slots open, and there's lots of parking in the back. I heard they strictly enforced the times of arrival before, but it didn't seem like that was going on today (we also arrived within 10 minutes of our time slot). In the future, I would come for the early time slot cuz it was already very sunny at 9:30 am in July and at times I had to face the sun to get a good pic. It just worked for my schedule that way, so nothing that could have been done, and it was the last day of the season today. Anyway, there's lots of space for you to walk around and find your spot to take pics...I think they weren't as packed as other weekends because they could have accommodated more cars in the parking lot. There's plenty of space to get pics without people. Other photo ops include the indoor barn where there's the dried lavender walls, and outdoors there's a little shed that has the Araceli Farms name on it. There's lots of grass and shaded areas for you to have a small picnic if you please. A few tables and benches as well. They have a chicken coop with chickens running around which is great for the kids. You could easily spend maybe just 1 hour here taking solely pictures and the other hour do whatever else! They sell lavender lemonade! Also there's outdoor games, and they typically have other things going on like workshops... just depends on what weekend you go. The barn has a little gift shop for lavender goods! They also have portapotties on site for your convenience. Such a cute place and such wonderful staff! This spot is such a hidden gem for grad pics!! My friends and I bought tickets for the 8:30am-10:30am slot for only $5 per person and we were amazed at how beautiful the farm was. The staff were SO sweet and I enjoyed chatting with them! I also LOVE the values they talk about on their website!! Woman of color owned and operated, sustainable, and building community are just some of them The ground wasn't muddy but it was dirt/uneven so I would recommend shoes with lower or thicker heels. My friend wore normal heels and had a bit of trouble walking. The ground was stable enough to walk in low heels and we were able to setup our tripod for group pics. There were bees but they don't bother you unless you bother them first :) Will definitely be coming back next year! read more

This is a great weekend excursion! They say that the best time to visit is May and June. I just visited and it was so nice! The lavender fields were beautiful, made for some great pictures. They also have a cute little shop with cute lavender stuff. They were also selling food outside and the lavender cookies were great and the lavender lemonade was very refreshing. They also sell lavender sangria and wine, which I didn't have the chance to try. There's also a photo background both inside and outside for a great social media picture. I wish they allowed dogs on leashes but I can understand why. Also, beware of bees around the lavender, although thankfully we didn't have any issues. I also wish they had fresh lavender but the dried lavender I got smells great. Try not too get there too late because it gets very sunny and hot. I think the latest time slot you should go to is 10:30 am-12:30 pm. Parking is great too. Everyone we encountered working on the farm was super nice too, great service. Check it out! read more

Araceli Farms is about an hour outside of San Francisco and is a beautiful lavender farm to come take photos at and relax. Lavender season is May - June so it's the ideal time to go right now. As soon as you enter the farm, you can smell the fresh lavender that they're growing. During COVID, you have to make a reservation online for a certain 2 hour time-slot because they want to limit the number of people in the farm area. This is great for safety as well as for photos! A lot less people in the background of your pictures this way and you don't really need to book a private session, which they also offer for photographers & their clients. We spent our whole 2 hours taking photos, sipping wine (they sell a great, affordable Sangria to split with your friends), and peruse through their lavender shop where they sell different lavender products. When you book a slot to come visit, it is $5 to visit the farm and $10 for the visit + a bunch of lavender combo. We got the combo so we could take some lavender home as you cannot pick lavender yourself (of course). The staff working were all very sweet as well and while masks are not mandatory, they will put one on if you ask them! Everything is in the open air though so as long as you're vaccinated, the whole experience is extremely low risk. Our pictures turned out beautiful and I can't wait to come back here with some photography clients one day now that I've been able to enjoy it with some friends! read more

Review #093 - 2020 I'm a sucker for pretty flower fields, especially for lavender fields! When I saw a bunch of posts on Facebook from Araceli Farms, I made sure to add it to my Memorial Day adventure even though I knew it was going to be an extremely hot weekend. We showed up at around 1:30 PM on Sunday, May 24th. It was hot! Another 94° day heat wave kind of day! My two nieces were complaining about the heat & the bees, but they were more than happy to pose for photos. We had no idea where we were supposed to check in since we had pre-paid for 2 cut bundles of lavender. There was a guy on the field helping people, but he never came over to our direction so we decided to go into the "gift shop" to see how we can obtain our lavender bundles. The advertisement was for fresh cut lavenders, meaning we could pick our own; however, due to coronavirus we had to pick from the pre-cut bundles--unless we brought our own sheers. I was kind of disappointed that we weren't even greeted, as there was only one person inside who was checking people in & ringing people up so she had her face buried in her iPad the whole time. I wanted to purchase a few items, but decided not to since I felt like my money could be better spent elsewhere--where there was some type of customer service, especially if you are being charged $5 per person for entry. The lavender field was beautiful, even if it wasn't in full bloom. I still got a good amount of photos. Hopefully, next year, when things are back to normal, service will be friendlier. read more

Araceli Farms is a nice little lavender farm. You can pay just to visit or pay to cut your own lavender. If you don't want to cut your own lavender, they have bundles already picked for you to take home. I also saw an option to book a photoshoot in the field. It is a nice little outing for the family. Just remember, if you are planning to cut your own lavender you must BRING SHEARS!! They do not want people to just pull out the lavender (altough I saw lots of people doing so). There is a little barn where you can purchase various lavender products. They also allow patrons to picnic on site. There are picnic tables and a lawn area. There is also a portapotty. They ask that everyone wear masks in the barn and if they are near other people in the field. Overall, it was a nice experience. It would be nice if they had staff to provide info about the lavender or even just watch over to make sure peopel are following the rules. read more

The most magical place in all of the the Dixon, Woodland, Davis area. These fields of lavender are bountiful, relaxing, and breathtaking. I absolutely love the smell of the Araceli Farms and the diverse strains of lavender plants. I am completely obsessed and in love. We came during the second week of the Lavender Festival and have so much sadness that we didn't hear about it sooner to get to go to the first week as well! We spent 2.5 hours here and had the best time -- blew our expectations right out the water! Entry was $4/person. Parking was very close to all the booths and farm. Bathrooms were ridiculous clean and the hand washing station was very easy to use. Everyone accepts card, so don't stress about bringing cash. The farm is stunning. So well maintained, quaint, and everywhere you turn is a photo worthy spot! We went on the 30 minute Distillery tour and learned all about the process -- bringing to light the real value of all the products! We frolicked through the fields and examined their 7 lavender varietals. There are bees, but they aren't easily agitated and will keep to themselves. We ordered one of every item on their menu! Flight of Icecream -- Lavender Chocolate, Lavender Earl Grey, Lavender BlackBerry ($12) Lavender Cookie ($1) Sampanini Sandwich ($5) Italian Veggie ($5) Lavender Lemonade (2) Our favorites was the Lavender Chocolate ice cream! I loved all the vendors that came out. One of our favorite booths was the local photographers (Living On Mars) who had a gorgeous photo wall that you could photograph yourself against ($5), have them photograph you for digital copies ($10), or have them go into the field with you for a digital photo there ($15) -- we opted for the Digital Photos against the backdrop and in the field. Our second favorite booth was the AdventourousCubs booth where we commissioned for a photo of our cat to be illustrated! The painting was available within 1 hour and came out better than we could have imagined! Will definitely be back for the U-Pick and other events! read more

First time visiting lavender farm and it was incredibly beautiful, the smell of lavender everywhere and it was my favorite. The area is really nice with a parking lot just right next to the lavender area. The entire place was really pretty especially during the golden hours, perfect for all those that need it for ig. Next to the farm there's a little small area where the owners raise chicken. I was really lucky to be able to bring 2 lavender bouquet home and I left one in my car and it made my car smell so good. This is definitely somewhere where I would love to bring my family and just enjoy the day.
