Great drinks and great vibes! After leaving another establishment up the street, my group and ai decided to stop in and check out The Main Grape. We were instantly greeted and told to feel free to sit wherever we wanted. There were tables as well as seating at the bar. We instead decided to sit at one of the couches in the back. Not only are they beautiful, but comfortable too. We weren't really sure what we wanted to order, so we asked the bartender for his recommendations. We all tried different selections based on what his individual recommendations for us were. We enjoyed our drinks while listening to the music that really sets the chic yet casual ambiance. I can't think of anything bad. This place was open late on a Friday, they had food and wine, parking was easy to find on the street, and the servers were attentive and friendly. Our main server was Kristine and she was easy to talk to. I like how the vibe is casual and friendly. The pretzel was soft, salted and yummy. The cheese board was the perfect size for two. Angelo our server was amazing! We went late night an hour before closing, and kitchen was already closed, but Angelo made us an awesome cheese board! Recommended a glass of Beringer- it was so good! The place is very cozy, we sat at the very back, in front of the fireplace. There are tables in the front, couches towards the back. When you enter, the menu is on the right- near the bar sitting area- they have all kinds of drinks. Parking there is street parking, and a shared parking lot in the back. We enjoyed our time! Today we waited for about 10-15minutes to open so we can be there at the front to watch all the costumes. We sat there for a minute only have the owner tell us that we couldn't sit there because her grandkids were coming. I'm sorry but last time I checked... it's a wine bar we should be allowed to seat where we want but apparently her grandkids that are under age are allowed. We ended up leaving. I've been there before, and it was very nice. I love the idea of a local, successful business. However, I have to say the last time was terrible. A customer likes to be acknowledged when walking into a small establishment. We were ignored. It took 20 minutes to be asked what we wanted. The wine was ok but the seafood tacos and charcuterie tray tasted terrible. No one checked with us in-between the time we were there and when we left except when we paid. It was a very expensive experience for nothing. We did observe people that did come in who they apparently knew and were fussed over so I guess it validates the expression that it's who you know to be treated better. I have seen this place several times and decided to finally go see what it's about. It's a cute little place the staff was very friendly and the drinks delish. I had the sangria and a French sunrise, I recommend both. To eat we had the chicken and bacon skewers it was a little steep on price point at $16 for two but they were tasty, we also shared the bruschetta you get 4 pieces of that I would definitely recommend. What a delightful venue. The atmosphere is quaint warm and friendly. Tanya seems to know most everyone who enters and greets them with a hug. The wine selection is interesting and full of lesser known but delicious brands. The food is wonderful. Small bite, tapas style so you try a bit of a lot of different dishes. Ambiance was great with different seating options; there were some couches in the back, a few tables, and some bar seating. All the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Their food menu had some great options, everything from charcuterie boards and other shareables to soups, salads, and flatbreads and even some desserts! I personally loved all the food options. There were plenty of sweet and savory bites to choose from that you can share with others and enjoy with your drinks. What a little gem! From the moment that you walk in you definitely get a classy vibe for this little bar and eats. For the champagne lady I am it was great to see the extensive selection of Champagne options to include the Chambong which I never experienced but have to say it was yummy and entertaining. The service could've been a tad better as the servers/bartenders seemed uncomfortable in their role. The bar area also seemed cluttered with things on top of each other instead of a much visually pleasing aesthetic. Ordered a flatbread which was just okay. Seemed like it was just thrown together, literally thrown ingredients on the flatbread and melt the cheese. I'm comparing it to more detailed served flatbread I'm used to. I'd say overall this place is an incredible addition to the uninspired establishments especially food and drink places in Vacaville. Went here to have a few drinks and a bit to eat. Had the Coppola Prosecco Rose. You have to try this. It was very good and refreshing. The Italian flatbread pizza was ok but the chili was to die for. So yummy. Service this evening was okay but the chili made up for the service. The place is very cute with a nice little bar and the door rolls up in front so you can listen to the live music when the have it out front across the street. I think The Main Grape is still in their soft opening stage. My buddy and I walked in and saw the place at about half capacity. We stood at the front entrance and weren't quite sure of where to go (self seating or do we wait to be seated?) We ended up approaching the bar area and asked the gentleman behind it if we should seat ourselves or if the tables are reserved. We were told to grab a seat anywhere we like, grab a menu and order at the bar when we are ready. I appreciated that the food menu was a single page, double sided. Simple, straightforward. and easy to digest. We ordered a sausage platter, which turned out to be really good. I mean... they are grilled sausages, what is there not to like? I would have liked to have known what kind of sausages there were, as well as the types of mustard, they were served with. Just a simple way to label the Andouille, Chorizo and Bratwurst with a toothpick would be a nice touch. The house wine was decent and fairly priced. It's nothing amazing but there were some bottles available that were definitely nicer if we felt like splurging a bit (stuff from Patz and Hall, Chalk Hill, Mt Veeder, etc...) Knowing that the Cava Chambongs were a bit of a gimmick, I almost passed on ordering them but my compadre had never tried one and so I felt like we had to. At $5 a pop, it's not a bad deal. It's just a splash of bubbles in the Chambongs so don't fool yourself in thinking you're downing an entire glass of sparkling... but it's fun to do none the less and that's why it's probably on the menu (and will likely do very well on Friday/Saturday nights). We were applauded by other patrons after we downed our little bit of Cava... yes, bravo indeed. read more

Dretzka, Blake Borchers, and Ariana Bell on this new adventure! Please come check out the vibe. They have wine, champagne, beer, and seltzers. They will have food by the end of the week. They also have nonalcoholic wine and champagne so you will catch me here all summer! I have samples a few of the menu items and all the food was super delicious! I would definitely come check them out and show some support. As soon as the weather is nicer they will have outdoor seating as well. I've been a few times. I thought we just caught an off day but the last two times the service has been terrible!! My gf and I sat at the bar top and still took over 40 minutes to put our food order in. The food was good but we were starving at that point. Next time I went with my boyfriend and we sat at a table. It wasn't nearly as busy as when I was there with my gf so I hoped we would have a different experience. Unfortunately we didn't. We actually never even ordered food because our server dropped our drinks off and never came back to check on us. OMGoodness!!!!!! There are not enough words to express how badly Vacaville needed an establishment like The Main Grape downtown. Thank you for coming up with the idea and a new "spot"! One cannot beat nor compete with the wine and beer selections, the phenomenal service, nor its quant ambiance. Though small, it all works so well together. Once we stepped inside and Kristine immediately made us feel as though we have known each other since nursery school. She answered all our questions and actually made some pretty amazing suggestions. We were not disappointed. It's like she got inside our heads and really knew us. Generally when I have out of town guests we do the whole Napa thing. Not anymore, I'm happy to say The Main Grape is in the town in which I live, close to my house, and is comfy. The Main Grape also lets you rent out part of or the entire place for your celebratory events. I see tons of fun with that.
