First of all when you walk in right on the door is an ode to Salt-N-Pepa. There's a huge wall of wines. Its a small but very classy wine bar. The bartender came over and while asking us what we would like to start with ended up talking us into doing the Chambong! We had never heard of this. Its a bent champagne flute, the bottom is open and you basically treat it like a beer bong. You have the option of a brute or rose. We went with the brute! Fun experience. We also got some cocktails. I went with The Main Grape Margarita. Most drinks are wine based, so this had red wine in it. Beautifully presented. We also rried the brushette and bacon wrapped pork belly. Both were delicious. We came here for a couple drinks and some bites. Amy took care of us and made us feel right at home. My lavender lemonade was amazing and my wife loved Main Grape's spin of a margarita. The brushcetta and chicken skewers took about 30 minutes to get to our table, but it was well worth the wait. Both were delicious and we really enjoyed those. The ambiance is nice as you can either sit at a table, a comfortable lounge chair, or the bar area. And there's also a spot where you can sit and look out onto Main Street. Great drinks and great vibes! After leaving another establishment up the street, my group and ai decided to stop in and check out The Main Grape. We were instantly greeted and told to feel free to sit wherever we wanted. There were tables as well as seating at the bar. We instead decided to sit at one of the couches in the back. Not only are they beautiful, but comfortable too. We weren't really sure what we wanted to order, so we asked the bartender for his recommendations. We all tried different selections based on what his individual recommendations for us were. We enjoyed our drinks while listening to the music that really sets the chic yet casual ambiance. I can't think of anything bad. This place was open late on a Friday, they had food and wine, parking was easy to find on the street, and the servers were attentive and friendly. Our main server was Kristine and she was easy to talk to. I like how the vibe is casual and friendly. The pretzel was soft, salted and yummy. The cheese board was the perfect size for two. Went downtown on a Friday night around 9:30PM and was saddened to see how dead Vacaville is on a Friday night. After a couple stops, and being turned away due to last call already passing, I happened upon the Main Grape. Have been wanting to try this place for some time and finally found my chance. Walked in around 10:10 and ordered a glass of Red Zin. Wanted to keep my tab open but was told they were doing last call. I thought nothing of it and closed my tab after ordering the drink. Fast forward 15 min and a group of 5 young men (early 20s) come in (approximately 10:27) and are a bit loud and having a good time. Of course I have been there before, so it didn't bother me in the slightest. At 10:33, he orders a white wine and is served. Since I was told last call had already happened, I thought I too could maybe order 1 more glass of red wine. I motioned to the waitress and asked for another glass, only to be told it was past "last call". Perplexed, I enquired as to why the gentleman was served and why I was not allowed 1 more glass. Granted, I did not know the closing time of the establishment. I was told that if someone walks in before 10:30, they try to serve them, even after last call. It bothered me that I was told something different when I ordered and if I had known, I would have ordered 1 more glass of wine prior to the "last call". A bit irritated, I took my last sip and left. I will never visit this establishment again and I will never recommend it to anyone who asks. That one instance has tainted my experience with the Main Grape. Others may have a different experience, but for me, I will never go there again. read more

So to start out... I love supporting locally. We've been going to the main grape since it open. It's been fine. Today we waited for about 10-15minutes to open so we can be there at the front to watch all the costumes. We sat there for a minute only have the owner tell us that we couldn't sit there because her grandkids were coming. I'm sorry but last time I checked... it's a wine bar we should be allowed to seat where we want but apparently her grandkids that are under age are allowed. We ended up leaving. What a delightful venue. The atmosphere is quaint warm and friendly. Tanya seems to know most everyone who enters and greets them with a hug. I've been there before, and it was very nice. I love the idea of a local, successful business. However, I have to say the last time was terrible. A customer likes to be acknowledged when walking into a small establishment. We were ignored. It took 20 minutes to be asked what we wanted. The wine was ok but the seafood tacos and charcuterie tray tasted terrible. No one checked with us in-between the time we were there and when we left except when we paid. It was a very expensive experience for nothing. We did observe people that did come in who they apparently knew and were fussed over so I guess it validates the expression that it's who you know to be treated better. For the champagne lady I am it was great to see the extensive selection of Champagne options to include the Chambong which I never experienced but have to say it was yummy and entertaining. The service could've been a tad better as the servers/bartenders seemed uncomfortable in their role. The bar area also seemed cluttered with things on top of each other instead of a much visually pleasing aesthetic. Ordered a flatbread which was just okay. Seemed like it was just thrown together, literally thrown ingredients on the flatbread and melt the cheese. I'm comparing it to more detailed served flatbread I'm used to. I'd say overall this place is an incredible addition to the uninspired establishments especially food and drink places in Vacaville. I think The Main Grape is still in their soft opening stage. My buddy and I walked in and saw the place at about half capacity. We stood at the front entrance and weren't quite sure of where to go (self seating or do we wait to be seated?) We ended up approaching the bar area and asked the gentleman behind it if we should seat ourselves or if the tables are reserved. We were told to grab a seat anywhere we like, grab a menu and order at the bar when we are ready. I appreciated that the food menu was a single page, double sided. Simple, straightforward. and easy to digest. We ordered a sausage platter, which turned out to be really good. I mean... they are grilled sausages, what is there not to like? I would have liked to have known what kind of sausages there were, as well as the types of mustard, they were served with. Just a simple way to label the Andouille, Chorizo and Bratwurst with a toothpick would be a nice touch. The house wine was decent and fairly priced. It's nothing amazing but there were some bottles available that were definitely nicer if we felt like splurging a bit (stuff from Patz and Hall, Chalk Hill, Mt Veeder, etc...) Knowing that the Cava Chambongs were a bit of a gimmick, I almost passed on ordering them but my compadre had never tried one and so I felt like we had to. At $5 a pop, it's not a bad deal. It's just a splash of bubbles in the Chambongs so don't fool yourself in thinking you're downing an entire glass of sparkling... but it's fun to do none the less and that's why it's probably on the menu (and will likely do very well on Friday/Saturday nights). We were applauded by other patrons after we downed our little bit of Cava... yes, bravo indeed. read more

They also have nonalcoholic wine and champagne so you will catch me here all summer! I have samples a few of the menu items and all the food was super delicious!
