We came here for lunch as I was waiting to have my front tires replaced. It wasn't extremely busy but several seats were taken up by other guests. We were seated immediately. The inside has a nice chill vibe and there were a few TVs playing one of the college Bowl games. Latausha was our server and she was very courteous and friendly. We started off with some focaccia bread which had nice flavor, but I was expecting the bread to be warm and it was cold. My wife thought the parmesan cheese was a little salty. We ordered the calamari strips to start off... they were fried perfect and coated with a nice panto crust. The zing from the lemon juice kicked it up a notch. I went with the steak sandwich... the steak and juicy and tender; which the bread was nicely toasted and had a nice garlic flavor. The fries were delicious and some of the best I've had in quite some time. Wifey went with the half spaghetti half ravioli plate which she loved. The portion was so much she ended up taking hers home. This was only my second time eating at Pietro's which is wild for as many years as I've lived in Vacaville. But I can promise I'll be making more trips when I can. read more

Great service on a crowded Friday night. Our table had ceaser salad and minestrone soup to start alibi with some super yummy rosted garlic foccacia. Chicken picatta and Chicken Parmeasan and a Blanco pizza to share. Everything was very good. We all added seasoning. But thats ok with us. The portions were large and we took food home. My only complaint is they dont serve local Suisun Valley wines and thats disappointing given their location. Drink local!! read more

Took forever to get our drink orders in, food came out like warm, no bread refilled, almost felt like we were an inconvenience for them and forgotten in the back. I personally would not pay $20 for lukewarm spaghetti with meat sauce that was super watery, and a mediocre Hawaiian pizza that was flavorless and soggy was $24.... For 2 people to eat it was $70 with the 18% gratuity charge.... Insane. Won't be going back. read more

Lights are almost always dimmed and could say even a very romantic feeling for a date night. Staff is always nice and attentive. If you have a bigger group they're very accommodating and will work with you entirely especially with a little bit of a notice The food is always amazing. Some of my favorite pizza from any local spot. Their crust is definitely on the thicker side which if you don't mind you won't be disappointed. All the ingredients taste fresh and if you're a meat lover kind of pizza eater definitely will live up to expectations. We came as a group of 8, and had such high hopes for here but we were all sorely disappointed. The food was mediocre at best; our party didn't even take home the leftovers. The pizza bottom was mushy and the toppings didn't stay on. The meatball didn't hold the sauce since it was super light and watery, so they just seemed like large balls of steamed meat. I was looking for pizza that wasn't a common chain pizzeria since we had guests we wanted to impress (who happened to request pizza when asked what they'd like for lunch). Pietro's was well rated and has been a Vacaville staple for decades! We ordered a 12" Hawaiian, 12" Bianco, and 12" margherita pizza. Each pizza ranged from $22-24 for the 12" size. The total after tax and tip came out to just under $100. No option for make your own pizza with split sides. You could order a custom cheese pizza with extra toppings ($3-4 per topping). This made it a little more difficult to decide and order with one vegetarian in our group. The pizzas were a hit! In particular the Bianco was well received and the pizza that was eaten the most. The toppings were fairly generous. There is a lot of crust on these pizzas. The pizzas arrived hot and fresh. It'll be worth trying their food that isn't pizza. The pizza was tasty. Hopefully the pasta is too. But I felt the price was a little steep (probably because it was through DoorDash) for the amount of pizza. read more

I was so delighted to eat at Pietro's finally. I've driven past this restaurant countless times and have heard from many family members across multiple generations just how delicious it is. I finally got the chance to go, and it did not disappoint. We started with two different kinds of garlic bread, and both were absolutely wonderful. I don't typically eat bread because I'm usually not a fan, but I couldn't stop eating it. Luckily, that meant I had plenty of pasta to take home and enjoy later. The two different types of garlic bread we were given were clearly homemade and incredibly fresh! We ordered the chicken fettuccine with a creamy pesto sauce, and it was fresh, homemade, and truly delicious. I found the balance between the pesto and the cream to be absolutely divine. It was the right amount of flavor without being overly rich. I wish that it had come with some steamed broccoli. The other dish we tried was the chicken piccata, which was also very good. The chicken was well seasoned and tender, and the sauce had great flavor and consistency. Overall, Pietro's has more than lived up to its reputation, and I'm so glad I finally got to experience it. Everyone at the restaurant was friendly and made you feel like family. Incredibly attentive, and even the rest of the crowd in the restaurant was so kind, and it just really added to the family-like environment. I highly recommend doing this for a variety of occasions. Family dinners, date nights, or even a celebration, as the restaurant has a few sections that can accommodate large parties. I have someone to mention that they had some televisions and bar seating for those looking for that as well. Unfortunately, we forgot to take photos because we were with a large group and having such a great time. Next time we'll definitely take pictures to add to our post. San Francisco, and Portland OR and worked the majority of my life in restaurants, some of which people have traveled from all over the world just to work at. I've had alot of steak sandwiches since I was a kid celebrating my first check at Pietros #1. I haven't had it probably 10years and was passing through yesterday on my way home from the holidays and made a stop 30minutes out of my way to try it again. I needed to know if it lived up to the hype because it's lived rent free in my head since the last time I had it. Does it live up to my memories? Is it just sentimental? I've tried making my own and can never replicate the flavor. I needed to try it again. I ordered it to go, and ate it in my car in the parking lot across the street. Needless to say it melted my gd brain. It still to this day is and always was the best steak sandwich I've had in my life, and I have no idea why. It's a NY strip with a nice char and grill marks, perfectly cooked at medium rare with no grey line and as far as I can tell is seasoned with fresh ground pepper, a little garlic and salt. (Maybe MSG, but I won't tell) Wood fire probably? Idk but it's perfect. The bread is nicely toasted on the outside and soft on the inside, it soaks up the steaks juices and the butter baste it seems to have had just enough but not too much to fall apart. I want to thank Pietros #1 for maintaining quality after all these years and how hard things have gotten for restaurants, to have the opportunity to taste this piece of my childhood so many years later is just what I needed in what was a truly awful 2024. I'll be making trips back and go out of my way to have this sandwich for as many years as I can, please never change Pietros, you're amazing. read more

We went at a typically slower time of day, so the restaurant would not be crowded, hoping the service would be great. Unfortunately, the service was slow. The wait staff appeared to be more interested in the bar patrons and socializing than they were with waiting on us. We had to ask for the garlic bread which is normally the first thing that comes out quickly. The pizza arrived late and when it did, it was soggy and had little taste. My husband and I planned to have an amazing Italian dinner. Loved the oversized pumkins in the doorway, however we were not greeted for the first 5 minutes. Eventually the hostess acknowledged us physically but never introduced herself sent us to a table where she dropped the menus on the table never made eye contact and proceeded forward to the next table. There's something to be said about a limited menu because everthing we ordered was awesome! Our server Eddie was awesome too. We screwed up ordering a togo food for my children and Toni the manager handled our screw up beautifully. THEY OBVIOUSLY ARE CONCERNED ABOUR THEIR CUSTOMER'S SATISFACTION. The wine list is awesome and the food is consistently great. The only negative is they are so busy and with the labor force compromised, they don't have enough help to handle the volume of customers. I have gotten the fettucine alfredo at least 6 times at this location, the most recent time being last month, but this time the consistency was milk-like, with no chives, and had a very sweet flavor, when I was expecting my usual savory, thick consistency fettucine alfredo. With the scorching heat yesterday and Thursdays are usually one or our date nights, we went to Pietros #1 for dinner. I know some people feel #2 might be better but we started patronizing this location when we initially moved to the area and never had a bad experience so we continue to. We started with hubby's usual an old fashion and I had a Mexican Mule (very refreshing). They serve complimentary bread (oh we love bread ). I was up in the air with what I wanted for my entree. So many thoughts ran through my mind (pizza, a burger, sandwich) lol and I ended up ordering the ceased salad and added chicken ‍. The serving size was very filling. Had a great amount of Parmesan and the waitress/bartender automatically brought out an extra dressing which was a plus since it was needed. The added chicken was ok-Nothing to rave about but it made the salad a more complete meal for me. Hubby loves pasta.. He opted to have the Penne pasta with meat sauce and added meatballs (2 @ $4). Huge portion and he took half home. I also nibbled on his . Very tasty and well seasoned.
