Shells had their soft opening last week so we hung out. Their Grand Opening is Monday September 14th at 4:30. I'm gonna check it out then too. Come through and support another small independent family owned restaurant. Great vibes, good people and a solid menu.

Great food, great vibes, and a great place to grab a beer in downtown Fairfield! Stopped by on Tuesday evening and tried the sisig fries, Steakburger, and Kiki's Cherry Bomb drink -- everything was delicious! They have a great variety of beer, drinks, and food, with a fun Filipino-American fusion menu. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, making it a great spot to hang out with friends and enjoy some good food and drinks. Definitely worth checking out if you're in downtown Fairfield! Dawn is an awesome host and looking forward to enjoying celebrating future gatherings here.

Food was delicious the place was beautiful and nicely decorated. We had the nicest time and the staff is extremely friendly. We will definitely be returning when they have a full menu.

I'm So glad I came to the grand opening of SHELL's !! The Sig sig fries are !! If you like a little kick (spice) it's soooo yum. So many beer choices on tap and I love that they have Red Horse beer a true staple in the Filipino culture. Like the si sig fries the red horse has a kick to it with %8 alcohol. Lumpia is perfect I can eat 100 of them!! FREE Pork Rinds with vinegar dip is perfectly paired with cold beer. I highly highly recommend you pop in with the family for a great atmosphere, relaxed Island vibe and good eats and Two Thumbs up

All of the food was delicious! My son who is a picky eater had 2 plates of adobo and rice & lots of lumpia and loved it! I had the tapsilog, focaccia chicken sandwich, sinigang and Turon with ice cream. Everything was amazing and so authentic! I didn't get any drinks this time around but my boyfriend enjoyed the large selection of beers & drink menu. Will be back

Filipino American Gastro Pub or RestoBar (Restaurant Bar)! 16 beers on tap. A line of San Miguel beers and Red Horse served by the bucket.

We ordered the meal plate w/ 2 entrees: half Garlic Rice (best to go in the AM before they run out) / half Pansit, and a double order of the Lechon (Roast Pork) Sisig. Bam! Way better than Panda Express lol...they even include a free soda! Service can be a little slow, but we noticed that's only because they take the time to pack things carefully to prevent spills. That is attention to detail that I can appreciate. Some advice - going at lunchtime will be very busy, so either give yourself extra time (or patience), or try going in the morning when all the food is freshly available. Enjoy!

I wanted to share a disappointing experience I had during my recent visit to your restaurant…read more The cashier was warm, friendly, and engaging with the customers before me, but when it was my turn, her demeanor completely changed. I asked if I could have an extra to-go bowl, and she simply replied, "No, we don't do that." While that wasn't the answer I was hoping for, I accepted it without issue. What bothered me was what happened next. When I asked for utensils, instead of handing them to me, she placed them on the counter for me to pick up, doing so with a dismissive attitude. She then proceeded to speak in Tagalog in a way that made me feel she assumed I couldn't understand her. It came across as rude, disrespectful, and hurtful. My family owns the childcare center directly behind your restaurant, and we have supported your business for a long time. We are also actively involved in the local community and workj closely with the City and the Mayor's office through our childcare programs. It was especially disappointing to feel as though I was treated differently because she assumed I wasn't Filipino. Everyone deserves to be treated with the same level of courtesy and respect, regardless of their appearance or background. Unfortunately, this experience has cost your restaurant a loyal customer. I will also be sharing my experience with my professional and community network, as I believe businesses should be held to a consistent standard of customer service. I hope you take this feedback seriously so that no one else has a similar experience.

Not much decor. Prepped food ready to grab n go. Greeted courteously upon arrival. Told owners I would browse before deciding what to buy. Browsing casually, Noticed prepped food in trays at front left. Rest of store are the usual Filipino groceries. Didn't see any veggies, meat or seafood. Wasn't looking for it. Just a glance at the aisles. While browsing, I decided not to buy anything to cook since I dislike cooking and cleaning up. Also not to buy prepped food either. Wasn't going to eat it right away. Noticed Filipino desserts near cashier station. Picked lst 2 I saw. Didn't browse all options. I could slowly eat them over many days. Bites: Biko (rice cake) 7.99 -made from sweet rice, coconut milk, brown sugar. Chewy, sweet addictive taste. Suman (rice cake) 5 pieces-9.99 -sweet rice mixed with coconut milk, sugar. Salt. Wrapped in banana leaves, steamed. -slightly sweet. Chewy. Good for snacking. Looks like a mini Chinese tamale. Sweet rice is native to China & Southeast Asia. Filipino rice cakes have similarities to Japanese mochi, Thai mango sticky rice (khao niao mamuang). All use sweet rice, other ingredients differ.
