    Walnut shrimp and Mongolian beef

Mongolian beef and walnut shrimp is delicious, just traveling for work, best I have had in a long time hands down. All I ordered with rice, gotta figure out how to travel with leftovers lol.

I was headed back from Fairfield at 3:30p, but I was at a long appointment over lunchtime. I didn't want to make the trip in the rain hungry. I found this place close to the highway. It was lovely. I was greeted within a few moments, and seated at a table if my choosing due to the timing of when I was there. Other than the TV on at the bar, which I could hear in the dining area, it was pretty quiet with a chill vibe. I chose the eggplant and tofu. They even had brown rice available as a side--a rarity at Chinese restaurants in the area based on my experience. The staff was very pleasant, too.

So we started out house shopping on the side of the bridge in rodeo and we decided to go look at a places in the Cordelia area. When we arrived, we wanted something good to eat and something that was really close by. And of course had a full bar. Looking on yelp, I saw this place and thought why not give it a try even though it has three stars. Sometimes I still give it a try even though the rating is OK because you never know people's taste. Driving up to this location we were kind of confused because it is literally in a business center. The bathroom is located in the hallway so you have to exit the restaurant if you need to use the restroom. We walked in and it seems very nice and clean, and there were a lot of people already dining. There's a cool fountain in the patio. We were greeted by the hostess, who sat us at the bar per our request. It seemed like there were only two people working because the servers/bartenders was really the one helping us. As we were seated, we were told that we could only have beer and wine. As the bartender came up, I asked her if she was able just to pour gin and she said yes I was pretty surprised that you have a full bar but yet you can't seem to offer full beverages. The server was extremely nice. She handed us the menus. We looked over lots of choices. The prices were really on point. We ordered the calamari. These come out as a little rings so you don't get any of the tentacles. So if you're looking for tentacles, do not get this. The calamari was overcooked and really rubbery. But it came out with some chipotle, mayo, and some sweet sauce. As we were still hungry, we ordered the chow mein that's on the menu. I couldn't believe that it was only $11! Not only was it $11! The chow mein was actually a mixture of pork chicken and shrimp. The pork was definitely overcooked. The chicken was OK and the shrimp was OK as well. There was some great texture and taste to the noodles. But nothing great. What I come back to this restaurant, that would be a negative. If I'm looking for some mediocre cheap Chinese food this place is definitely at your place to go. Our check came out about $70 with the tip included.

Restaurant came under new management several years ago. Dining area was as I remembered. I ordered my favorite - stuffed eggplant which was delicious as usual.

Back twice last week. Both times the draw was their late hours. Sunday for Father's day dinner with hubby after work. Wednesday after a impromptu shopping trip with sis and cousin. I like their crispy shrimp and scallops but I have to get the sauce on the side. Egg drop soup was good. Fried rice nice...needed a little garlic and soy sauce. I always ask for some hot mustard and chili oil when I sit down cuz I know I'mma need that extra little seasoning for my dishes. On Sunday the bar is open but neither my husband or I wanted a drink however on Wednesday when we went with the girls I did want to drink and tomorrow was closed the bartender had called off. Boo for the bartender. I also like the appetizer of the tofu fries and I had a nice like spicy peanut sauce that was good as well. Everything we ordered on Wednesday was pretty good it's a lot of food. Both times I went with hubby and the girls we spent about $75 which is not bad with the tip I like $90 so.

Had lunch today with my dear friend and former boss, her sister and nephew. The boy is 26 with the mind of a 3 year old? He does well in restaurant settings, but is prone to occasional outbursts. Our server was so kind and patient with us. I thank her for that. The food is consistent great too! I love the Prawn Cakes. Get them. As it was a cold and rainy day I chose the Wor Wonton Soup. It was good, but not great? It needed a better level of chicken flavor IMHO. We also shared an order of Veggie and Meat Eggrolls. The meat ones had a faint but yummy 5 spice flavor, but my favorites were the veggie ones. I wound up bringing over half the soup and 2 Prawn Cakes home. Hubby asked me to bring back an order of their amazing Cherry Pork and Fried Rice. Holy Moly it was a lot and only $25.00. (SEE PICS). Thank you SR for everything today.

We stopped by for a late lunch since it's right across from Costco. They offer lunch specials until 3 PM, and the prices are very affordable. Here's my review: Service: Amazing! I didn't get our server's name, but she was great--very friendly and attentive. She checked on us often, and we were greeted within a couple minutes of sitting down. Our food came out fast, roughly 5-7 minutes after ordering. Ambiance: From the outside, it almost looks like a hotel rather than a restaurant. Inside, it's clean, bright, and overlooks a nice water fountain. The bathrooms are also clean and well kept. Value: Portions are generous, even with the lunch specials. You get a cup of rice plus soup or salad, which makes it an even better deal. The single entrées are also reasonably priced. Compared to other Chinese restaurants I've been to, this is one of the most affordable. Food: Everything arrived hot. The calamari was crunchy and well seasoned. The crispy pork lived up to its name and had great flavor. The cherry pork, however, tasted similar to a mix of orange chicken and sweet-and-sour chicken--good, but not unique. Something seemed missing, so I'd give the food 4 out of 5 stars. Overall: I recommend this place and would definitely come back!

I called ahead and ordered the spicy crispy tofu. I even specified EXTRA spicy. HUGE disappointment. There is nothing spicy or crispy about this entree. The vegetables are super bland, there is nothing spicy or even a hint of crispness on the tofu & it is all thrown together in a thick sweet sauce. In short, the title of the entreé is misleading. Just call it what it is, not what it's not. UGH. It was a pick up order so I did not pay attention to anything beyond the food.

I can't speak on the ambiance or the service because I actually did Door Dash because I was home alone and hungry and remembered being told how good the appetizers were at Sticky Rice. I ordered the crab ragoon and the pork pot stickers and they were both delicious. I have to say that my favorite was the crab ragoon. They were still really warm when they arrived and they were extremely creamy and so delicious and definitely could taste the crab in them. Next time will have to eat in.

STICKY RICE is a Chinese bistro and bar located in a business park in Fairfield, CA. A top favorite for my In-laws to break bread and gather with friends & family. The water fountains inside and out provide a pleasant ambiance. Menu items we regularly order are: Won Ton Soup - savory broth with delicate wonton and green onions. A great starter, especially during the winter season. Seafood Nest - made with prawns, calamari, scallops & sliced fish with mixed vegetables served on a nest of crispy noodles. I personally like it when there's extra gravy to soften the noodles. Service is always friendly and food is prepared fresh and delivered promptly. The restaurant is located across the street from Costco, so we always make it a point to grab a bite here after we've worked up an appetite from shopping.

Every time I come here it is clean, the staff speaks (I am big on greeting) and I have never had to wait. Rather it is busy or slow the food is always tasty, hot and fresh as well. Rather I am chillin at the bar or sitting at a table, the serve is the same. This is a good place to go solo as well. The food here is really good. I took my mom here for lunch and she enjoyed it. The lunch If you are looking for good Chinese food in this area just got Sticky Rice. You will not be disappointed.

    Happy Hour Menu

My family and I love this place and my most fave thing to order is their honey walnut prawns and Mongolian beef. We love coming for their lunch specials, probably one of the best in town. Their Happy Hour menu is pretty solid too with the selections they have to offer, it's just hit or miss depending if they have a bartender that day. But when they do, it's definitely worth it! Ambiance is really nice, as this restaurant is located on the bottom floor of a business building with the dining area facing the fountain. Nice and clean and the service is always quick.

We're fairly new to Fairfield, coming from San Francisco, and honestly, we were a little hesitant to try out any Chinese restaurants in the area (I've been traumatized before, lol). The menu here wasn't super traditional, there were Thai items mixed in but we ordered what sounded good, and were pleasantly surprised! What we ordered: Bird's Nest Noodles - Looked great and tasted even better! Crispy and flavorful. 8.5/10 Sizzling Rice Soup - Tasty, but not quite enough crispy rice for my liking. Still enjoyable. 7/10 Basil Dishes - Good flavor but leaned a bit oily. Hunan Chicken - Classic Chinese-American go-to. The service was genuinely great. Even though they were busy, the staff was attentive and quick to bring anything we needed without us having to wait or ask twice. The interior was a fun surprise, definitely more modern and unique than I expected, with a bar area that adds a cool vibe. All in all, I'd definitely come back and am excited to try more dishes. A nice spot for a casual but satisfying dinner!

    Plenty of seating.

Well, a friend also recommend it as they live in town. Small town, most places do close pretty early. I think they closed around 8pm when we arrived. They were able to accommodate my group last minute. It was Thursday, the farmers market was going on out front and the place was pretty mellow. Inside, it was mellow but once you were in the back patio, it was pretty lively. It's where they seated us. First time also trying Burmese food. Menu did have a lot of dishes that are pretty much similar to the other southeast asian dishes. Pretty much the seasonings varies here and there. Service was great from start to finish as everyone was very sweet and friendly. Constantly checking in on us to make sure that everything was taken care of. Food wise, we started off with some of their starter. Burmese chicken wings and added fries. The seasoning was quite nice and tasty. Tossed with fries, onions, bell peppers and garlic bits. Quite tasty. Shrimp basket, classic fried shrimp in rice paper. Just like an egg roll. They were quite nice and tasty. Crispy pork belly, marinated pork belly served with a tamarind sauce. The nice crunch and sweet sauce were all great together. Entrees, a mixture of everything to share. The spicy noodles which were pretty much similar to pad Thai. Stir fry noodles with bell peppers, onions, green onions, mushrooms, scrambled eggs, peanuts and adorned with shredded cabbage. Perry much their version of pad Thai. It was good but a little too sweet for my liking. Burmese style chicken biryani, slow cooked chicken thighs and drumsticks marinated in butter, yogurt, masala, ginger and served with biryani rice. That was a meal in its own. Tasty with the sauce and the chicken literally fell off the bone. Basil chili beef was quite nice. The flavors were really good and the beef was tender. Fiery pork was a recommendation from the waiter which was also a nice dish. Stir fry tofu with pork, red onion, bell peppers, string beans, garlic and a house special soy sauce. Tasty dish as well. Lastly the chicken red curry. Slow cooked with potatoes, onions, Marsala, paprika in a rich sauce. Served with steamed rice. It was good but the other dishes outshine it. We did like the food. Very similar to a lot of other Asian dishes but their version and take on it. Pretty much similar but change it up with the spices. Service was great and the place was nice. Glad we got a table on the patio versus inside.

Crispy chicken fried rice - 10/10, chicken was juicy and super crispy, paired with two different sauces (1) some sort of creamy mayo aioli (2) sweet chili sauce; i personally preferred the sweet chili sauce. The rice itself was subtle, with a slight soy sauce flavor; definitely allowed the chicken to shine. Thai iced tea - 8/10, good thai tea. not too sweet, stronger on the tea side. Staff were friendly and food came out quickly. The restaurant is decent in size (has both outside and indoor seating), and had a modern, clean look. We did the AYCE and I definitely got my money's worth. The service was courteous and prompt. The ambiance was typical for a K-BBQ spot- the open floor plan makes for a slightly louder place, but at least the music was not blasting so loudly that conversation was hindered. The menu has meat and other dishes that can be ordered a la carte, if all you can eat is not your thing. (Or if you don't want to have to grill your own meat.) We ordered: -Pork belly (regular, thin sliced, and soy garlic. All great, but the thin sliced has always been my favorite). -Marinated beef (tasty). -LA ribs (well marinated and not too salty). -Bulgogi and the Hawaiian bulgogi (the Hawaiian was good and I like the pineapple chunks to grill,, but preferred the regular because it was less sweet). -Shrimp (head and shell on, be prepared to peel and de-vein after grilling). -Marinated baby octopus (one of my son's favorite things he had there). Some highlights that will bring me back: -Sliced pickled radish to wrap the meat for a low carb option. -Glutinous rice paper to wrap the meat (nice and chewy texture, great touch to the marinated meat). -ALL of the banchan was spot on. Zingy kimchi, firm broccoli, not too sweet fishcakes, and seasoned bean sprouts were among our faves. -Last but not least, the crispy chicken wings. I walked in expecting sushi…read more What I didn't expect was to discover what might be the best shrimp tempura roll yet. Like many sushi regulars, I've gotten used to the quiet arithmetic of ordering: one roll usually isn't enough, so you order two, sometimes three, and suddenly what began as a casual meal turns into a financial decision. Then I noticed something interesting on the menu: a jumbo-sized shrimp tempura roll. Curiosity won. Ayemi's jumbo portion is roughly twice the size of a typical roll, yet priced around what many places charge for a regular one. Naturally, I had to try it. The first bite had everything you want from good tempura sushi. The shrimp was crisp and light, not greasy. The rice was soft and balanced. But there was also something else...a subtle flavor running through the roll that I couldn't quite identify. Not overpowering, just a pleasant note that made each bite feel a little more intriguing than the last. Perhaps a touch of fusion. Perhaps a house seasoning. Perhaps just careful attention to balance. Whatever it was, I was hooked. The textures layered beautifully: warm tempura crunch, cool rice, and that mysterious flavor that kept me going back for another bite. And another bite. And another bite... And here's the rare part: the jumbo roll was actually enough. For once, I didn't feel the need to order a second roll just to feel satisfied. The pricing was so fair that it left room to do something I always appreciate being able to do: tip the gracious hosts generously. The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming. It was as if they welcomed me into their home and seated me at their family dining table to break bread with them. While I was enjoying the meal, the restaurant slowly began to fill. Then it filled some more. Soon the room had that lively buzz of a place locals clearly know about. That's always a good sign. Great food has a way of revealing itself in real time. By the time I finished my meal, the place was packed. And honestly, I wasn't surprised. When a restaurant serves food this good at prices this fair, word gets around.
