I took my husband to Sticky Rice for Father's Day, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. We were seated immediately and given water and menus when we arrived. There were only about six other customers in the restaurant, so it wasn't busy at all. After that, we were completely ignored. We sat for 20 minutes, and no one came by to take our order, check on us, or even acknowledge that we were waiting. During that time, one waitress was sitting near the bar eating, and another was rolling utensils, but no one approached our table. I understand that restaurants can get busy, but with so few people dining, someone could have at least greeted us or let us know there would be a delay. After waiting 20 minutes without any service or communication, we decided to get up and leave. Sadly, what was supposed to be a Father's Day meal turned into a frustrating experience. She intimidated them by asking loudly why they were wasting food by not eating. My guests said they didn't enjoy the food, to which she replied that they're wasting food. How could anyone enjoy food that's inedible? She certainly did not give cause for us or our friends to step inside that eatery again. (1 of 5) Grace, server: Poor Grace looked pressured. She tried her best to accommodate us but I think she was 'shut-down' by her boss. I decided the restaurant did not deserve a tip but our server did so I pushed the tip inside her pocket. Grace mentioned that the chef is new and she would try and see if they can do something with our check. They did not and even raise the cost on one of the dishes we ordered. The price on the menu is lower that what they charged. This was an eatery we frequented for years and we usually enjoy the food here. Since we moved, we haven't visited it but our family still lives in that neighborhood so we decided to meet there for dinner. They don't take reservations but the eatery was half empty for a dinner-time seating. We sat down and was presented with their menu, which haven't changed much so it was easy to order our meal. We ordered Crab Wonton, Potstickers, Singapore-style Rice Noodles, Orange Chicken, Bulgogi. None of the dishes came with rice, so we ordered a bowl of rice. One of our guests wanted wine. Our server said the wine menu is not available, so we decided to get the house-wine. Our server returned to say the bartender is not on duty and we couldn't get even the house wine. I asked for hot water which never arrived. (1 of 5) Crab Wonton: This fried appetizer should have a crispy exterior filled with a creamy, savory mixture of cream cheese and crab meat (whether real or imitation). They are deep-fried until golden and served with sweet-and-sour sauce. The subtle seafood flavor is not quite there and the filling did not fill the parcel. The sauce here could be found on any grocery shelf but that's okay. I opened up the rest of the wonton for two reasons: (1) I wanted to see if some of them were filled, and (2) to make sure they don't serve these to unsuspecting diners. I ordered on DoorDash for pickup. I ordered the Singapore noodles which I had ordered before while dining in and have come without meat. The menus online did not show any meat or give a description of meat. I show up and pick up my order and when I get back to my office I notice there is meat in my noodles, specifically shrimp and what looked like beef and chicken. I call right away and explain that there was not description of the noodles having meat by default. The girl on the phone explained I could get a store credit or get another meal. I was obviously hungry so I told her I can come back for another meal instead. She told me it would be about 10-15 minutes. When I get to the restaurant with the original untouched meal, the girl tells me that her manager actually stated I would not get a replacement but a store credit instead. I was shocked, why would you have me waste my time making me think I would be picking up the corrected meal and instead offer me a store credit. This made no sense and I could have just used the store credit to have the meal be redone, where is the logic here. I told them I don't want the credit at this point as now I'm not happy and would not like to come back. They told me to contact DoorDash. So I left without my meal and down $15 and wasted time during this. I added photos of their menu I got from the restaurant the first time I picked up the meal so I can place it in our work break room. When I check later after this incident, I was correct there was absolutely no meat in the dish either on that menu but was instead an add on. I was headed back from Fairfield at 3:30p, but I was at a long appointment over lunchtime. I didn't want to make the trip in the rain hungry. I found this place close to the highway. It was lovely. I was greeted within a few moments, and seated at a table if my choosing due to the timing of when I was there. Other than the TV on at the bar, which I could hear in the dining area, it was pretty quiet with a chill vibe. I chose the eggplant and tofu. They even had brown rice available as a side--a rarity at Chinese restaurants in the area based on my experience. The staff was very pleasant, too. read more

Ive found that the evident lack of pride in anything they do is a common theme. Once again, they do what's easiest and convenient for THEM rather than make the customer experience a priority. The food continues to be low quality and less than mediocre, at best. If they actually cared they would've honored the quality that was passed on to them when they bought it from the previous owners. So we started out house shopping on the side of the bridge in rodeo and we decided to go look at a places in the Cordelia area. When we arrived, we wanted something good to eat and something that was really close by. And of course had a full bar. The bathroom is located in the hallway so you have to exit the restaurant if you need to use the restroom. We walked in and it seems very nice and clean, and there were a lot of people already dining. There's a cool fountain in the patio. We were greeted by the hostess, who sat us at the bar per our request. It seemed like there were only two people working because the servers/bartenders was really the one helping us. As we were seated, we were told that we could only have beer and wine. As the bartender came up, I asked her if she was able just to pour gin and she said yes I was pretty surprised that you have a full bar but yet you can't seem to offer full beverages. The server was extremely nice. She handed us the menus. We looked over lots of choices. The prices were really on point. We ordered the calamari. These come out as a little rings so you don't get any of the tentacles. So if you're looking for tentacles, do not get this. The calamari was overcooked and really rubbery. But it came out with some chipotle, mayo, and some sweet sauce. As we were still hungry, we ordered the chow mein that's on the menu. I couldn't believe that it was only $11! Not only was it $11! The chow mein was actually a mixture of pork chicken and shrimp. The pork was definitely overcooked. The chicken was OK and the shrimp was OK as well. There was some great texture and taste to the noodles. But nothing great. What I come back to this restaurant, that would be a negative. Back twice last week. Both times the draw was their late hours. Sunday for Father's day dinner with hubby after work. Wednesday after a impromptu shopping trip with sis and cousin. I like their crispy shrimp and scallops but I have to get the sauce on the side. Egg drop soup was good. Fried rice nice...needed a little garlic and soy sauce. I always ask for some hot mustard and chili oil when I sit down cuz I know I'mma need that extra little seasoning for my dishes. On Sunday the bar is open but neither my husband or I wanted a drink however on Wednesday when we went with the girls I did want to drink and tomorrow was closed the bartender had called off. Boo for the bartender. I also like the appetizer of the tofu fries and I had a nice like spicy peanut sauce that was good as well. We stopped by for a late lunch since it's right across from Costco. They offer lunch specials until 3 PM, and the prices are very affordable. Here's my review: Service: Amazing! I didn't get our server's name, but she was great--very friendly and attentive. She checked on us often, and we were greeted within a couple minutes of sitting down. Our food came out fast, roughly 5-7 minutes after ordering. Ambiance: From the outside, it almost looks like a hotel rather than a restaurant. Inside, it's clean, bright, and overlooks a nice water fountain. The bathrooms are also clean and well kept. Value: Portions are generous, even with the lunch specials. You get a cup of rice plus soup or salad, which makes it an even better deal. The single entrées are also reasonably priced. Compared to other Chinese restaurants I've been to, this is one of the most affordable. Food: Everything arrived hot. The calamari was crunchy and well seasoned. The crispy pork lived up to its name and had great flavor. The cherry pork, however, tasted similar to a mix of orange chicken and sweet-and-sour chicken--good, but not unique. I ordered party trays for about 30 people, 2 weeks in advance of our event. Since I didn't know how much to order, I needed advice from the restaurant. The person taking my order was efficient and friendly and listened well that I didn't have to correct my order. My credit card was billed immediately. Was staffed well, but honestly, the bus boy was more attentive than our waitress and she smelled dirty. She came through after someone else took our order. My family and I love this place and my most fave thing to order is their honey walnut prawns and Mongolian beef. We love coming for their lunch specials, probably one of the best in town. Their Happy Hour menu is pretty solid too with the selections they have to offer, it's just hit or miss depending if they have a bartender that day. But when they do, it's definitely worth it! My brother and I like coming here because it's a convenient location. It's near costco and near the freeway. We came on a weekday. It took a while for the staff to notice that we were there. my brother kept saying hello? We were seated but it took a while for them to take our order even though they were not busy. we ordered the orange prawns and salt and pepper pork loin. the salt and pepper pork loin was too dry. I loved the size of the prawns but the orange sauce just tasted very artificial. We loved the taste of the mushrooms and bokchoy. That was our favorite dish. The water tasted like tap so I ordered a diet coke. It had a weird aftertaste and there wasn't enough carbonation. One of the best meals we've had from a Chinese Restaurant in a while. We had Crab Lagoons, Chicken Wings, Combination Fried Rice, Combination Chow Mein, Mongolian Beef and Honey Walnut Prawns. Everything was very good. The Fried Rice, Mongolian Beef and Honey Walnut Prawns were the stars though. Their Fried Rice had a good amount of meat in it and had that good wok char flavor to it. Most Mongolian Beef is just packed with onions, this actually had a good amount of beef and had a little more spice than most places which I enjoyed. The Honey Walnut Prawns are some of the best I've ever had. Prices and portions were also very good. We will definitely be ordering take out from there more often. read more

This place has really gone downhill. Not only is the customer service bad, the restaurant is so dirty. From the moment we were sat down we felt uncomfortable by the amount of food under us. Looked like the floors hadn't been cleaned in a while. Then my mom got a big hair on her plate probably because all of the waiters had their hair down. I've tried in person. I've tried ordering take out. The main feature of this restaurant is that they make you WAIT. I've been left on hold for so long the last two times I tried ordering take out that I'll never try again - I never even got to place an order either time. The time I did manage to leave the restaurant with a takeout order, I had to wait 15 minutes to place it in person, but thankfully it came out pretty quickly. I once sat in the restaurant with my kids for almost 30 minutes before the server who sat me and told me to wait for MY server finally came over and took the order. The food is generally well above average - but the service is SO bad that I just want to tell the owner to fire everybody in the front of the house and start all over. Their unhappiness gives the place an air of misery, stress and bitterness that no amount of lovely decor and the nice view could ever overcome. I've never even seen a person acting like a manager, so maybe that's the problem. I have been passing by Sticky Rice for years finally sat down for Lunch after meeting up with a friend at their bar. It was unusual to see a restaurant as you enter a building of office spaces but it was a nice set-up with views, a separate area for private parties, and a full bar. Kitchen was visible, place was clean with modern decor; would not even think it's a Chinese Restaurant based on that. Their menu is a combination of traditional and creative dishes, serving sizes are good for 3-4 people, especially when at least 6 dishes are ordered. We have sampled multiple dishes, which consists of rice, beef, chicken, pork, veggies, noodles and all were delicious! My pictures don't due justice. Fast service, food is served hot! Hospitable staff too. I am very surprised by the average yelp rating. It does not reflect why there is constant flow of customers the times we were there; which patrons would agree with me that their food is really good! It seems there were regulars too as the employees knew them by name. Prices are reasonable for its quality and ambiance. Highly recommend Sticky Rice to satisfy any Chinese food craving! I ordered the food as a gift for my staff and to know that something like this happened and could've had dire consequences was unacceptable. We tried calling the restaurant but apparently the number they have on file is the "wrong number". I called DoorDash customer service and they wanted to just refund the rice order. Absolutely not. Food: Tofu fries $12 - it's very good, and came with 3 sauces (sweet chili, peanut curry, and garlic aioli). Cherry chicken $14 - there was no cherry in there LOL; tastes like sweet and sour chicken. Was good; could be crispier. Sticky fried rice $14 - not actually sticky rice; more like yang chow fried rice. Thought it was a little bit bland but maybe that's because everything else on the table was just so flavorful. Ended the meal with a generous amount of fortune cookies (that came along with the bill). Overall: WOULD COME AGAIN, chef knows his stuff. 10/10. I haven't been to this location in years and so surprised it was still around. Not many Chinese options in this area. Ample seating options for smaller or larger groups. They have a room on the side if you want a private area for a larger party group. Menu is simple. Food is giving in portions. Flavors and taste were there. Service was quick!!!
