My partner was skilled at finding delicious restaurants in the area and we checked this place out. I had never actually checked out this quaint downtown area before until this visit so it was pleasant to walk around to see all the tasting rooms along with the bookstores and other pleasant shops. We came in right before the restaurant filled out at 10am and got the shakshuka along with a burger and fries. Everything was made perfectly and so flavorful. The chefs certainly have a skill for optimal taste and cooking as that was the best meal of the weekend. The server was so attentive and sweet too! It was not busy only two other couples eating when we arrived. We sat at our usual table And noted service was a bit slow right off the bat. When I received my Pho, which I thought was a longer wait than usual, it was luke warm if that. The Korean ribs and chicken wings arrived temperature appropriate. I pushed my soup aside but no one checked back until my lunch mate finished. When the waiter came to clear the table I asked for a to go and thought he would ask if there was anything wrong. He did not so I told him the Pho was served luke warm so I did not eat it and that no one had checked back or even passed by us or I would have sent it back to heat it up. We were done now so I'd just take it to go. Our waiter apologized and when he brought the bill said The Pho was comped and apologized again for the breakdown in service. When I dine I like to relax and enjoy a meal With who I came with. So receiving temperature appropriate food is important. The KD does a good job. They have a diverse menu with flavorful food and great cocktails. When there is a hiccup in service or the food there is a genuine concern. Sometimes it's caught by them and others it's brought to their attention. It's how things are dealt with when those mishaps happen. Deviled eggs anywhere are always a must try for me- but these ones had a savoryness to them that would bring me back for those alone. As my main dish I went with the pad Thai- as a stand alone dish, it's quite good. However, after adding the sriracha and oil, it's damn good. The tofu absorbed a great amount of favor and spice (cumin?) and had a nice crispness to it- I'd order a dish of the tofu alone for a starter with that flavor. Bartenders always on point and engaged, fun drink menu lost, and excellent people watching. Started with our standard, the deviled eggs. Donnie and his team did an amazing job helping us have a memorable (and safe!) meal celebrating our friend's 40th birthday who has Celiac disease. Our group had a variety of drinks and mocktails, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, and pretty much the entire dessert menu. What a nice place to grab bite and drink. As soon as we walked in we were greeted. We sat outside in the perfect late afternoon weather. Ordering from the "Happy Hour" menu which had plenty to choose from. The pizza was nice and thin crust, good sauce and nice flavorful cheeses on top we also ordered teriyaki wings and the sauce was delicious. The margaritas were well balanced as well. Last lunch for a ladies weekend... a lot of our meals beforehand had similar taste profiles, so I picked this spot since it's a Asian fusion spot and different from the other restaurants earlier in the weekend... Pros - good flavors on each dish we ordered. Service was also very nice and quite accommodating. I didn't know they put bean sprouts in their fried rice, I'm allergic to them, and they took the plate away and made me new rice... I kept the original ribs. I also ordered a potato rossi reminded me of a McDonald's hash brown, but elevated... that was really good! Clean and very cozy. My wife is a vegitarian and we came for the Tofu Pad Thai. But upon ordering learned that their only 'non-pizza' vegetarian option was not actually vegetarian. They shared with us that we couldn't order the Tofu Pad Thai without fish sauce. Many places can make it without the fish sauce, so we were surprised and disappointed to not get the main dish we came for. Instead we got the plain pizza and I got teriyaki chicken wings. The wings were tasty, but very small wings are used. So it was not as satisfying as I hoped. The pizza was ok too. If you are vegetarian, consider looking elsewhere. Otherwise the other food being served to other customers looked good. They had a table for four open and they didn't give it to us. They had us wait over thirty minutes. The empty table remained empty from the time we arrived, duration of our wait, our dinner, and when we left. Considering the others that came after us were sat prior, I wouldn't want to assume it's cause we were the only Asian party that night, but it's how it felt like. The food totally missed the mark. We got the PHO and it had regular noodles. It had no flavor and we had to add the cilantro and sriracha to give it a tiny hint of taste. The Pad Thai failed to impress as well. I understand fusion but the taste was disappointing. Light flavor and strange seasoning but even adding lime was unable to bring out the Pad Thai at all. The ribs barely had flavor but the rice that i came with was the best thing out of all the food we got. It had something crunchy that made it interesting and made it "fusion". In my opinion this was the worst part of my trip here in Napa this time. Carabao was closed and this was the next Asian place that was open on our google search. We already had Chetuphon Thai, which was amazing, and we wanted to have a new experience elsewhere. For Thai Food, Chetuphon still is the place to go to. Service was ok apart from the seating issue stated above. Server and staff bumped my chair multiple times without even an acknowledgement. I'm just really disappointed with the place and nitpicking now, maybe. But for my overall experience on food and service, I cannot say I'd come back, nor can I recommend this place to anyone at all. Walking in during a prime weekend lunch hour was doable since there were no wait times. Customer service was excellent, and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. Here is the food we ordered: Cheeseburger: Although this item seems out of place on the menu, it was incredibly delicious. The melted Swiss cheese on top of the wine-stewed onions was excellent, and the fries were crispy. The waiter knew we were dining family-style and initiated cutting the burger into three portions. Mushroom Pizza: Another standout on their menu, with plenty of mushrooms and loads of flavor. Pad Thai: This dish seemed to be the least promising of the three, but it was definitely a hit. Celebrated my and my husband's birthday here since we booked a stay at the Archer Hotel next door. We had been gallivanting throughout Napa and Santa Rosa that day, and we just wanted to eat somewhere that had variety and tbh, was close to the hotel. Everything was pretty tasty! Everything came out in a timely manner, and we ordered just the right amount of food in my opinion. For dessert, we ordered their brownie a la mode, and it arrive with a "Happy birthday" written on the plate and a candle included. Such a sweet way to end the meal! The restaurant is clean, with the lighting giving off moody vibes. There are few TVs situated on the walls which were televising current sports games, and your eyes are immediately drawn to the middle of the restaurant where the bar is located. They had a TV where we were able to watch an NBA game so that was cool. Curry Shrimp Soup 4/5 Broth was good but can be a little overwhelming because of the richness. Noodles were cooked good. Shrimp was cooked good and was served on a skewer. Alcoholic beverage: I had their Pimm's #1 drink which is made with Pimm's gin, lime juice, ginger beer and maybe simple syrup (I forgot, lol!) and was also served with a thinly sliced cucumber. I enjoyed the drink. Dessert 5/5: Salted caramel was delicious. They make their ice cream in house. The ice cream was not too sweet and you can taste a little salt that they either sprinkled on top or mixed into their house ice cream. I had brunch on Sunday, 7/20/25 at The Kitchen Door. The restaurant is tucked away in the Shops on First Street. They had a beautiful outdoor patio for dining so I decided to try it.
