We had a reservation here but it took about 20 minutes for our table to be ready for a group of five. The restaurant has an indoor/outdoor feel which was unexpected- make sure you bring a sweater. It was a little sleepy here- my friend actually fell asleep at the table lol. The food was ok- my chicken piccata was wayyyy too salty. I love salt and I could barely eat it. My friends enjoyed their meals ok- especially the lamb shank. The seafood pasta and sticky ribs were just average. Undecided if I would visit again...

I was skeptical that this place was going to be memorable, but it was very good! The walkway into the restaurant is lush and has beautiful foliage. The interior is ok - seems a little older and less interesting than the outside. I was there for a private dinner - the food was mostly very good. Standout items included: Pork belly lettuce cups Calamari (the glaze totally makes it) Truffled risotto (strong truffle flavor!) The roasted half chicken with gnocchi (Super tender and I know roast chicken doesn't sound like much, but this one was VERY good) Overall, I enjoyed my experience and would come back!

Food: 3/5 Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Portion to Price: 3/5 Overall: The food was good and had a great ambiance The extended review... Food: 3/5 - Had the carpaccio, brussels, and the pork chop. All were pretty standard fare. Service: 3/5 - Standard service. Ambiance: 4/5 - A lovely setting in their rustic indoor patio. Portion to Price: 3/5 - A little on the pricy side but I mean we are talking about Napa.

We sat is a cute outside area since there was a party inside. There was no issues with temperature. It was comfortable. The food was good and they comp the dessert because the table next to us was extra load. This was totally unexpected and very nice of them. The service was good and we will be back.

Food was delicious. In my opinion, menu was simple but catered to every palette. Service was exceptional and they didnt mind with food alternatives and alterations. Ps. They don't do separate checks, but did offer to split cards from the total check. I recommend bringing cash for big groups. Ambiance is beautiful, perfect spot for a brunch on the weekend.

Made reservations for brunch with a friend. Arrived on time and it was pretty empty so we got to choose are seats. Nice indoor type of patio dining which was very nice. Service was really good for the most part. My biggest complaint is food. I ordered the chicken sandwich which the chicken was completely burnt and over done. I couldn't even eat it because it was so hard. I did tell our waiter but nothing was done. I couldn't eat the sandwich so I only ate the fries. I tried the pancakes which tasted good. I wouldn't be back as long as the chef is cooking fried chicken this way. There are way too many restaurants in Napa to choose from.

What a fabulous evening and such a treat to dine at Celadon on a bustling Friday evening. Here for a special wine event with my family, there were a few other restaurant buy outs that evening as well. So wonderful to see a space and place so alive and vibrant early evening. Our party was seated in the back of the restaurant with easy access through the side door. We took a tour of the restaurant shortly after arrival and there's another beautiful and (huge) room with open spacing for larger parties/events. There's only one restroom inside the restaurant past the bar area (to note, wonderful drinks). After getting a code there are more restrooms outside, fyi! The food was superb and very on par for dining in Napa Valley. Celadon is located on Main Street, so not too bad for travelers from the East Bay. The passed appetizer were delicious ~ spicy calamari, apple/cheese crostini, and chicken lettuce cups. We had a curated menu to pair with specific wines for an event, so not sure if some of these items are typically on the main menu. We then had a choice of starter, main, and dessert. I chose the beet salad, the Moroccan Braised Lamb Shank (with golden raisin and toasted almond couscous), and the bread pudding. The way the meat pulled off the bone so delicate and juicy..perfection. We also had a pasta course that paired with one of the wines I noticed was on the menu ~ the fusilli pasta with bolognese sauce. Hearty, comforting, and so flavorful. My husband ordered the Grilled Allen Brothers New York Steak and for me, the scalloped potato accompaniment stole the show..so rich and decadent, yum! Honestly all in all, the spot is so special and quite the Napa to-do. We felt honored to have been invited to such a well executed event to this spot that we may have not been able to try otherwise. Wonderful staff in such beautiful digs. Dreaming about that lamb shank, highly recommend if looking for a night out in celebration.

This place is definitely a vibe! I came to Napa like everyone else to have good wine and good food. This place is definitely it!! We made reservations ahead of time as we were told it can get busy at times. The place was nice and quiet with a farmhouse rustic touch but nothing short of elegant. A friend and I ordered the sangria for cocktails and it was one of the best sangrias I've had! the pork loin with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts and topped off with bacon. I got the Marsala sauce on the side and it was heavenly!! The pork loin was tender and cooked to perfection, the mashed potatoes were creamy and the Brussels had the perfect roast and perfect amount of crunch. The bacon was a great touch as well. The food was delicious and I'll definitely come back to try other dishes or order the pork loin again!

Dinner itself was great. Service service was a bit spotty as they had a large event in one section and I think they were a bit understaffed in the area where we were eating. You could see all of the employees really hustling and trying their best. My scallops (nightly soecial) and his lamb shank were good. The sweet coconut fried prawns were good.

Chicken and Waffle is my fave! Chipotle Syrup is a play on hot chicken craze. This is firmly in my rotation.

This restaurant is wonderful. I went on a girls' night out, but it's perfect for date night as well--the ambiance is amazing for that. The food was great! All of us loved our food, from the salad to the ribs, the NY steak & butternut squash risotto, which is what I got. The chocolate cake was also great! I have to give a special shout out to the complimentary bread dip (I think it's a balsamic sauce). Best thing I've ever had with bread. I even asked if they sell it in a bottle lol. The manager, Alex, checked on us to ensure we were okay, and RJ, our waiter, was wonderful. He is very professional and understands the menu, giving wonderful recommendations, and checking in periodically to ensure we are comfortable and doing okay. Perfect for your next trip to Napa!

Very romantic for a date night. Loved the outdoor feel and the lights. We made reservations for my birthday and the special touches to the menu and the note was so cute! I can see why someone would recommend this restaurant! We were not sold on the food but the wine and service were great!

Here's The pic of the oyster Rockefeller sitting on a bed of micro greens and " uncooked dry rice "
    Mika B.

Beautiful night ,,, Our 1st Valentine Day Celebration,,, We chose CELADON ,,, Yeah a reservation,,, Arrived ,, Was seated by a lovely lady . Immediately after seating our waiter RJ arrived w/ a welcoming approach . " May I ask you if you'd like anything to drink ?" We replied asking for hot water with lemon . The hot water was received as we studied the "VALENTINE's DAY menu. RJ our waiter approached us as we placed our order . We chose the oyster Rockefeller , Lobster Rosotto and a chocolate type torte for desert . First course arrived which was the oysters rockefeller/ sat on a bed of micro greens and dry uncooked rice . My date scooped her 1st bite of the oyster rockefeller as the micro greens had a few grains of the dry uncooked rice incorporated with the oyster which my date unknowingly bit into it and experienced discomfort . After finishing the oyster Rockefeller entree the waiter ( RJ) approached our table to retrieve our finished plates . At that time my date notified our waiter (RJ ) about the incident from biting into a grain of the uncooked bed of rice the oysters laid on . Moments later ,,, whom I'm assuming a gentleman approached our table asking about the uncooked bed of rice issue . We let it be known that we felt garnishing uncooked food on a cook plate of food may not be safe for consumers / guests dining at CELADON . The gentleman/ seemingly the manager was apologetic and friendly . We proceeded with our evening enjoying the ambiance of CELADON ... The Flavors was good overall ... However the chef needs to lay off the salt ,,, That risotto was SALTY !!! I've manage many places ... Had I been the manager for the type of situation,,, believe me I would have compensated the guest for the unfortunate and unacceptable experience regarding the use of uncooked grains on a plate of hot food . PS... I told RJ ( the waiter ) to pardon us ordering Just for 1 since I explained I'm on a Bariatric diet . Did not like this RJ-waiter commented and saying " it's cool having to only to order on meal on a date ,,, he mentioned the phrase of it being a ,, " cheap date " ... UNACCEPTABLE!!! Toooo Baddd for such a nice place that day ‍ Thanks but No Thanks

    Is the restaurant dog friendly?

On the patio. Service dogs are welcome inside as well as on the patio.

Do they have a corkage fee?

    Yes $20

Is it okay to walk in this coming Saturday 2/13/21 or do we need to have a reservation for 2 adults and 1 child?

You definitely need a reservation. Celadon has one of the best outdoor patios in downtown Napa. So, it's a favorite for many!

Is this a good restaurant for an anniversary dinner?

Yes! This would be the perfect spot. Food is phenomenal and very cool atmosphere. My sister and I sat in the back pathway area that was botanically covered. Cool scenery and great food.

    Is reservation needed?

Not unless they are busy, but you can make reservations on opentable so it's very convenient

I placed my order and asked for muffins, but was told they were sold out. I could clearly see five on the counter, and the employee explained they were already spoken for. I mentioned my kid would be disappointed and asked if there was anything they could do. One employee immediately said no, while another kindly checked in the back and was able to find one muffin for us, which I appreciated. A little later I noticed packaged muffins in the display case and asked if I could buy those, but again was told no. Unfortunately, the experience only got worse from there. I realized after leaving that I never received the pizza I had ordered, and the avocado toast made me extremely sick. I spent the rest of the day dealing with what felt like serious food poisoning. I called afterward to request a refund ( I only asked to refund the avocado toast and the pizza) and left a voicemail. No one returned my call. I called again and spoke with someone who said the manager had just left and would call me back. Again, no response. They mentioned refunding my card and I gave my card digits, but I'm pretty sure I had actually paid cash. Either way, I mainly wanted to speak with a manager about the situation, and no one ever followed up. What's especially disappointing is that I live nearby, come here often, and genuinely love this place. That's why this experience was so frustrating.
