I absolutely loved this place. This cozy restaurant was easy to find as it is right off of Sonoma Hwy. My husband and I went on a Monday morning around 11am. It was not too crowded at that time. We were warmly greeted when we walked in and were seated pretty quickly. My husband had the Boon Fly Chicken & Waffle and I was basic and had the Two Eggs Any Style. My meal came with hash browns, wheat toast, and chicken apple sausage (you can choose applewood smoked bacon or country breakfast sausage). The portions were generous and my husband liked the crispiness of his chicken. We also ordered the Nutty Carajillo and Best Coffee Ever for drinks. I recommend ordering the Nutty Carajillo (you can thank me later)! The service was AMAZING. We visited Napa for a quick wedding anniversary trip and Boon Fly Cafe was our last stop before heading home. What an open and inviting space for brunch right by Carneros! We stopped by on the way back to San Francisco from St. Helena and thought this would be a good late lunch, since we skipped on breakfast. We were greeted and seated at a large table quickly. I ordered the eggs benedict, which sounded like the perfect portion -- though it took nearly 40 minutes for our food to arrive, and the toasted bun came out closer to lukewarm. The crispy potatoes on the side were tasty, but for a pretty standard Napa Valley price point, I was expecting a bit more. Our group of 5 came to Boon Fly Cafe around 9:30am on a Saturday, and it was quite busy. We were told the wait would be around 25 minutes, which was perfect for us since we were in no rush. I did learn that you can order anything from the bar for takeout, and they do have some tables/seating outside where you could enjoy your food. We were told space opened up at the bar, and opted to sit there. Service was very friendly, and out food came out quite quickly after ordering. We got 5 dishes to split between us, and they provided us some smaller plates to split food with. Standouts for me was the breakfast flatbread and the corned beef hash. I also really liked the waffle that the chicken and waffles came with - it was so soft and fluffy and you can really taste the cornmeal. The green eggs and ham was unique but didn't stand out enough and I'd get the corned beef hash over that next time. The tacos were light and refreshing but not as flavorful as I would've preferred. I also got an iced vanilla latte, which does come from an automatic machine but was nice and strong, and not too sweet. Overall, Boon Fly Cafe is a really cute and popular brunch spot, and serving sizes were generous, with reasonable pricing and excellent service. I'm sure I'll be back again. read more

We were looking for a cute brunch spot near Domaine Carneros and amazingly, stumbled upon this lovely cafe. On the outside, it looks like a red vintage barn - which definitely sticks out. The cafe was quite spacious and cozy. We ordered the brioche French toast (which was served with berries) as well as the breakfast flatbread topped with a nice egg. We came here as a group of six and we had a great time. I really liked that there were a number of vegetarian options that were outside of the basic things. For example, I ordered the mushroom Bolognese and they also had a vegetarian burger! Our server was very attentive. The portions are quite big, especially the dessert! read more

What?! Donuts did not come with chocolate sauce which we later found out that it does come with it after asking and we already ate most of it. Double what?! Breakfast flatbread was soft not crispy very soft like it could have been in the oven longer but at least the egg was cooked perfectly on this one. I was in the area with a group of friends for a presentation. After several hours we were hungry. Half the group got here 40 ish minutes before my friend and I. They sat them down and allowed them to start apps and drinks and wait for us. They ordered the mini donuts and chocolate sauce. When we finally arrived, the donuts were still warm and delicious. Everyone ordered alcohol beverages and seemed to like them. I stuck with water. For meals, I ordered the chicken and waffles the others ordered, eggs Benedict, the burger, and fish tacos add avocado. The other three said their food was good, not remarkable, but a good meal with good company. I think they ordered the wrong things. I devoured the waffle, it was light and fluffy while melting in your mouth. The brown butter elevated the dish. The chicken was crispy and favorable. I do think the pieces I got were on the smaller side, I was still full, and had leftovers for home. The service was great, they were nice and friendly. They took great care of us. We had a great brunch here! We got there right around noon and had a 20 min wait as it's pretty small of a place. There was plenty of seating outside to wait. Once we were seated, our server came over promptly and took our drink orders. They had a ton of different options, including breakfast-y cocktails and of course mimosas. I just got an iced latte as we just flew in and needed caffeine. We got a couple donuts to start and they were nice and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I wish we would've just got the dozen with the basket because they were super tasty and the basket came with dipping sauces for them. We split the salmon bagel and breakfast flatbread. It was a great serving of salmon and the bagel was perfectly chewy. The flatbread was almost like a lavash texture with a crackery crust. The cheese was plentiful, the egg cooked perfectly and the caramelized onions added some nice depth. Because it was a small place and you are pretty close to the tables next to you, but I didn't feel too close that we were all sitting together at one table. Boon Fly Cafe is a long time favorite breakfast and brunch spot for me, but they do also serve dinner. The restaurant is on the property of the Carneros Resort and Spa. I have to say that I'm very happy to see that after all these years the place is still there and thriving. I think I first dined here in 2010... and it's still retains the same charm that it did back then today. Parking is in a different location now, once you are on the property you go left instead of right. This is because it looks like they support some outdoor seating where the lot used to be. I brought my children and we enjoyed a late lunch. There was a short wait for a table without a reservation - and this had almost 2 PM. It's nice to see a restaurant that thrives after the lunch is over. We were seated and treated with great care. There is a decent by the glass wine list, and I had a brut rosé as per usual for me as an opener. I was going to order the chicken and waffles - always a favorite for me to try when I see it on the menu - but I was disappointed to learn that the chicken was bone in. For me, I don't prefer that. Others may not mind! Instead, I ordered a tried and true make-your-own omelette, which I added applewood smoked bacon, and spinach to - along with cheddar cheese. Also at our table was a Caesar salad, a chopped salad - add fried chicken - and an egg white dish. Not to be missed is the breakfast flatbread! Delicious. Did not order it on this day, but in the past it has always been just right. We started with Boon Fly doughnuts - 13 donut holes for us all to share. I wish they were warmer, and I wish they served chocolate or fruit sauces with them - as I've had elsewhere. But they were still delicious. we actually used some of the jam they provided to us at the table - normally for toast - as a nice accompaniment. Stopped at Boon Fly Café for our final meal as we wrapped up our Thanksgiving week in Napa, and it was a perfect sendoff. We ordered the corned beef hash and the chilaquiles, and both dishes were excellent--fresh, flavorful, and exactly what we were hoping for. I absolutely LOVE this place and they have some of the most delicious food I have had in a long time. Went here with a few friends for breakfast and it did not disappoint. Staff was very nice, pleasant and attentive welcomed upon arrival and thanked upon departure. We sat at the bar as we were a large party and waited for our other friends arrival. I will say the place is quite small not very big in size but that was my ONLY disappointment. We sat down at the big table in the middle and we didn't wait long to order. I ordered my usual classic Benedict and it was super tasty, great hollandaise sauce homemade. But the part that blew my mind was the Reuben Sandwich which my friend ordered. I am not a fan of rye bread, I dislike sauerkraut, and, let's just say I have only tried corned beef twice maybe 3 times in my whole life. That sandwich was absolutely AMAZING I forgot all about my classic Benedict........ thanks to my friend she was not very hungry so she let me have the half of her sandwich and I ate it. I could not even finish my breakfast so I took it to go. We left that place stuffed and satisfied and we had an awesome time. Okay, so I've driven by dozens of times on my way into Napa from Santa Rosa. I have been curious about the restaurant but am always in a hurry to get where I'm going. Today I finally decided to stop in and I'm super happy that I did. I was hungry and felt like it was the perfect opportunity to check it out. I came in to order some food to go - decided in the margarita flatbread and while I waited I asked the bartender Mike to make me a tequila with ginger beer. I told him I had been wanting to stop forever. He was happy, friendly and treated me to some of their famous donuts since it was my first time. The woman who greeted me Danielle was also awesome! Decided to make a stop here prior to a show in Napa since it was on the way. Unfortunately, there were some downfalls I need to note: -shishito peppers were either too young or severely undercooked -halibut fish was OVER cooked, dry -ambiance was very stale, basic and no character, and the blinds were all closed and super dirty. But there were some positives I would like to shine light on: -our server was very accommodating especially for me being newly GF and asking if I could make substitution (which they graciously did) -the espresso martini was actually delicious. Used great ingredients like Mr. Black coffee -the service was what you should receive when dining out, excellent!
