Been coming here with my pup to watch the World Cup games and this spot is the vibe! A few things I've had over my last few visits and my thoughts on each 1. Steak frites: steak was meh but perfect medium rare. Fries were deliciously crispy for steak fries 2. Fried chicken sandwhich: very mid 3. Chicken wings: I did dry rub with the sauces on the side. I liked the ranch with the umami, but im not a fan of the smoked chicken. 4. Burrata: mid 5. Poke tostadas: best thing I've had on their menu and they don't have it anymore. I wanted to cry when they told me 6. Salted caramel pudding with shortbread pieces and macadamia nuts, hold the nuts: absolutely delicious dessert, very sweet! 7. Smash burger: pretty good. I'd get two patties next time Drinks 1. Float the River: hold the grapefruit. It was boozy s as heck 2. Dirty Shirley: decent 3. Cucumber drink: This was an off menu drink they used to make for me and then stopped making it. Maybe they ran out of cucumber? Idk. But bring them back! Wow I really been coming here for a minute. We were visiting for the day and the line at La Cheve was too long so we came here for brunch on Juneteenth. From the outside it doesn't look like a garden or even a beer garden but this place is a full on sports bar. The US mens national team was playing at noon for the world cup but we showed up at 10:30 am. The owner told us he was stressed because the whole place was reserved and packed for the game which wasn't very welcoming. The servers looked extremely busy so we kept having to ask whoever ran by for something we needed. The food, thankfully , was spectacular. I had the biscuit breakfast sandwich no cheese with sausage and I wish I could have fit another in my stomach. The biscuit was huge and flaky and tender and the eggs were fluffy. I shared it with my kid with a side of tots and it was scrumptious. I asked for the aioli on the side but it was lemony with a spicy kick. I hadn't had something like that but it was a nice fresh creamy taste with the tots and sandwich. read more

Our group of 5 swung by The Garden after brunch to grab a quick drink. It's a large open space with plenty of tables and seating, with a high ceiling, hanging plants, and the occasional bird flying around. Lots of different options on draft! It was pretty empty on a Saturday morning around 11:30am, which might be because of the location (kind of at the far end of downtown, and we had to find street parking 2 blocks away). We opted for a flight, which was 5 of the Tannery beers on draft, for $16 - a great deal in my opinion. My friend expressed interest in one of the sours that wasn't on the menu for the flight, and they were kind enough to give us an extra taste of that one without us even asking! They had food offerings, but we were still full from brunch, so didn't get to try them out. Overall, cute place that would be a great option to hang out over beers and some food - looks like they do some really cool events too. read more

We joined a group for a celebration. The space rocks, & the staff was great. We ordered three for $24 from their "snacks" menu. Their terrible website doesn't even list these menu items so I'm writing from memory. We had a soft pretzel with a honey mustard sauce. They wanted $3 extra for a cheese sauce which we chose not to include. The sauce was good, but the pretzel was either stale or overcooked - either way not great. The sausage "snack" consisted of ONE sausage with a BBQ sauce - for $8! Delicious but a complete ripoff. And we had a burrata dish with bread which was excellent, but cost us an extra $2 for some reason. I REALLY want to like this place, but for the second time in a row we were disappointed. Second time here. First time, there were 3 of us, and we all loved what we got. Turkey Reuben, French dip and Thai salad. No problems. Today, 4 of us. Reuben's were very dry, as was the French dip. Ordered the chocolate chip cookies and they were pretty "well done". But the clincher was they won't take more than 3 cards when you want to split the bill. Luckily one person had cash. They also won't do separate checks. Weird policy. Our waitress, who was very sweet and efficient, showed us at the bottom of the menu, in microscopic print, that it is their policy. I just find it very odd that you'll take 3 cards but not 4. Might be a place we'll have to cross off for the future. read more

Stopped by The Garden for the first time this past weekend to get a quick snack before some wine tasting. I really like the look of the place. Lots of plants and seating. Very open and inviting. I guess live music is a big thing most evenings and by the looks of the place, it's probably a lot of fun. I would like to check that out some other time. As far as food, just shared some Fried Chicken Totchos. No complaints. It was good, not great. Other items on the menu look and sound very good as well. Got a Bloody Mary and it was yummy. Great flavor, mixed well, and just the right amount of spiciness. Service was wonderful. Very attentive and I felt guilty that we weren't ordering more or staying longer, but as I mentioned, just a quick snack. Overall, a recommended destination right in the heart of downtown. I've come here a few times and have enjoyed my food. Most recently I came here with friends and we ordered some tot-chos with brisket and the winter Cobb salad. The tot-chos were really good and definitely shareable. The brisket was tasty and the tots were still crispy. The winter Cobb salad was also really good, the dressing was yummy and the squash and apple added some good flavor. The only thing is I wish the chicken were chopped smaller, it was chopped into 4 big pieces and it would have been nice for it to be smaller, it was also a little dry. But all-in-all it was tasty. They also have live music Friday's and it livened up the already busy place. I would recommend checking this place out. They do add a kitchen staff fee to all bills but per their website, you can ask to have this removed. read more

We had great food and great service. One irritating thing about dining in Napa, is how expensive a single glass of wine is. We opted for good beer. Had the fried Mac and cheese balls which were pretty good, but needs more flavor. Stopped in for a serious sit-down after a few visits for after dinner cocktails and perhaps some music. We've known Tyler and crew for many years and admire their efforts every where they pop up. Today we decided to bar-lunch and see what's coming outta the kitchen. First the cobb salad. A generous pile of super crispy greens in a light but flavorful vinaigrette surrounded by bacon, bleu cheese, halfa avocado, soft-center egg and the most moist, herbed, killer chicken i think ive ever had this side of the colonel's. Is friggin awesome. The smash burger is done Oklahoma style, beef on a pile of grilled onions n smashed, served with the cheesiest American slice, shrettuce, dills on a pillowy potato bun. We just got our faces in there deep. Juicy, oniony, sweet onions underneath. Crazy good. Tots are killer crunchy served with a smoked aioli. Betterthan fries. Beer list is wide-ranging as the wine list delivers some spot-on labels. Cocktails are crafted by some of the most skilled hands in the valley. Music and events occur, check local listings. The Garden is a great addition to downtown Napa! They have a casual vibe with an indoor/outdoor beer garden and restaurant. I met up with a group of friends on a Friday night and we were sat almost immediately. The place was busy and had a high school reunion event going on too. The menu has a good amount of options including smaller plates and snacks and sandwiches and larger meat plates. I ordered the thai-style shrimp noodle bowl with grilled gulf shrimp, veggies and a thai vinaigrette. This was absolutely delicious! I'd come back just for this meal! I tried the bee garden cocktail which is Barr Hill Honey Gin, lemon, lavender syrup and prosecco. It was a good cocktail. My friends ordered the brisket sliders, tot-chos, fall garden cob salad and pretzel. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. We went to The Garden for a retirement party for a coworker. Although we kept expanding our party they were very kind in accommodating us. We started with a Zinfandel by the glass even though the bar tender said it was good it was barely palatable. We chose three things off of the snack menu. The pretzel which I thought was good, the burrata which was good and 1 sausage which was very tasty but I thought it should be two for the price. The beer was very good. The waitress made it all happen although she only gave us one check for the large group. This was very awkward. She should have given us a heads up from the start. We hope that the person stuck with the bill received enough ( we gave more trying to accommodate for the meal, libations, tax and tip). The ambiance is open, plants hanging from the ceiling, not too loud, there was a cold breeze but they had heaters warming up the space. It is a nice place for large gatherings and a stage for venues. We ordered the articoke/jalapeno appetizer. The dip was generous but it came with 6 crostinis. We asked for a few more-they charged us $3 for 4 more crostini!! Ridiculous!!! Food is always on point. Staff is always kind and helpful, even when they have been short staffed. The Totchos are my favorite because anything with tater tots has to be good right??!! Had adult drinks and stack of cookies on a recent Saturday night. Service person seemed annoyed with us when we wanted more water and we had to ask twice to get it. Espresso Martini was excellent. Cookies were delish. Music did not fit the crowd between 8-9:30pm. Loud dance club style music. Apple Watch even alerted us to the high decibels. The crowd was families and over 30s and yet the atmosphere didn't match. Around 9pm (maybe earlier) the house lights went down and dance club style lighting prevailed with colorful strobe like lighting. Maybe the place turns into a different vibe at 10pm on a Saturday night but the clientele was very much not 'rave' ready prior to 10. Might try again earlier in the day when they aren't trying so hard to impress the younglings (who weren't even there to judge for themselves). The booth seating has cement planks for your bottom. Kevin, our bartender, was incredibly helpful and recommended the Meatball Appetizer special, which was amazing. The meatballs were juicy and flavorful, making them a perfect dish to share. For drinks, my wife enjoyed the Yajome IPA, which had a beautiful orange hue and a delicious mix of citrus, tropical fruit, and earthy notes. I went with the Coombs Saison, a light and refreshing farmhouse ale with hints of spice and hay--it was spot on. The outdoor beer garden atmosphere was laid-back and welcoming. Food: Nothing had flavor! I wondered if I had Covid. We had a large party and only 2 out of 30 people's dishes had flavor And they were pretty mid. I ordered the steak & Frites, fish & chips, Brisket sandwich and burrata. The steak was so thin and the chimchurri they served on it lacked any flavor (I needed ketchup). The fries were like the frozen steak fries from the grocery store and had NO flavor at all. Fish and chips weren't bad , very basic but had the same fries and again the whole entree needs seasoning. The burrata was so bland, nobody wanted it. I wondered if the restaurant was made for people afraid of seasonings and salt. I am not exaggerating. Service: mid- our server barely came around and it was very warm and people were waiting on drink refills. But they sure wanted that 30% gratuity and 3% restaurant fee. The food was good as is the location, the service was on point (at least when I went on a Saturday afternoon) I haven't been here during the week so I can't speak for the rest of the wait staff. The ambiance is very welcoming and friendly. Lots of hanging plants and has an open space kind of feel. I love making sliders with the (3) delicious rolls they give you (1 Brisket slice for sliders and the other slice to devour slowly)... Can you devour slowly? I give it my best effort...
