Who would've thought to go to a tiki bar in downtown Napa? From from the outside, you really can't tell what the inside is like. I came up to the roof rooftop bar on a Sunday afternoon and was treated with a DJ mixing yacht rock with some electric beats and a live bongo player. Going up the staircase, reminded me a little bit of Pirates of the Caribbean in Disneyland. You get the dim light vibes and marine themed decor to match. Love being up on the rooftop with a view of the river and downtown Napa. When the breeze hits and the music is playing, it's like you have your own private party. It does get very popular up there, however. I just came here for a drink, but the food looked pretty amazing as well with large servings. We totally come back! read more

As we moved to this side of the Bay Area, Napa has truly become a new place to explore. Wilfred's lounge, it's a great little tiki bar right on the river! As I'm such a big yeller, I was looking at places that were pet friendly, and this place popped up with a full bar, full food menu, and it had a great ambience and a wonderful view on top of that. The restaurant is super clean, it was a bit confusing on how to enter the restaurant as we parked in the rear, and you have to walk to the front of the building to enter. We were greeted with happy faces, seated immediately. The only thing that I would say is a negative is since we had our dogs with us nobody provided them with any water while we were enjoying our lunch. If you're going to be pet friendly, please provide water dishes, or some sort of way for our pups to not stay thirsty. The other part that I was really discouraged about was that if you wanted to sit upstairs, you had to order at the bar and then carry your items up the stairs. This was not feasible as we had two dogs with us and so it was just an uncomfortable situation. The food was ok, I ordered the fried rice came out on a cute little pineapple, my partner had one of their burgers. I ordered one of their Fofo drinks and it was really delicious! But each drink cost around $15-$20 each. Overall for two people that Check was well over $100 and that was just having a drink and a meal each. read more

One of the best places to have dinner at Napa. Amazing waterfront views, freaking great cocktails. Highly recommend upstairs if weather allows. They have a cute bar too. Service was great too. The waitress allowed us to switch to a better seating mid service. She was chill and took several photos of us too. read more

This place is a new favorite of mine. I think as I go to more and more Tiki Bars, I really gravitate to the ones that have more unique drinks. I make drinks at home. I've had a traditional Mai Tai a million of times. Do you have Tiki Drinks that are going to make me want to drive 45 minutes to you? On top of that, is your food worth it? I'm happy to say that the answer to both of these questions are yes. I've gone here 3 times within the last two weeks and one item that is a constant order is the Orange Chicken. Nowadays I think people are used to the classic super sweet Panda Express style Orange Chicken that you'll also see occasionally at your local Chinese food restaurant. Wilfred's Orange Chicken definitely is sweet but its not as sweet as what I used to and I'm not mad about it. There's a lot of depth with the sauce. I don't know if they are just putting more soy sauce or dark soy sauce...Maybe it's Oyster/Fish sauce? Theres definitely some kind of extra Umami going on. An added plus is that it pair perfectly with the tanginess of the Pineapple Fried Rice. For drinks my favorites have been the Manta Ray and the Sanfroyosko. The reason being is just because these have been the more unique ones that I've been really enjoying. The Manta Ray is more tropical than one might think. However it's tropical with a bit of funk. The combination of the Gin, Falernum, and Sauv Blanc Syrup really add to the complexity. The other drink I really like is the Sanfroyosko. If you are a Mai Tai lover, this is the one to try. The substitution of the typical tums with the Shochu, Sake and Pisco add even more of a Wine and floral flavor profile to the drink. On top of that the Sesame Orgeat gives and even more nuttier flavor than normal. But despite all these flavors going on, it still kinda tastes like a Mai Tai. The service has always been amazing. Every person who has served us has served us with a smile. But even despite how friendly they are, there still remains this sense of professionalism with their interactions. They check in at the perfect times. They ask how we are enjoying everything and share their favorite things to drink/eat. With the amazing tiki decor and island music, you really do feel like you are on an Island anytime you eat here. read more

Stopped by this establishment with high hopes for the food and ambiance, the ambiance and service was exceptional but everything else not so great. Let me break down how everything faired The location for this spot is easily accessible and it does stick out from the other restaurants, so kudos points on location and presentation for the restaurant. So here is the sad part the food was not up to par. Here is everything we sampled Spam fries - breaded and deep fried, placed in a spam can for presentation, it was piping hot, slight crunch for anyone that has not sampled this before let us just say it is different good deep fried pickles - if I see this on the menu I try it wherever it is offered, the pickles did not have a snap, tasted old, dipping sauce on side was ok but the pickles sadly did not taste fresh natsubi - fancy musubi with spam just added furikake and drizzled with sauce on the smaller side but it was decent smash burger - made with two patties regular hamburger bun, not sure why but both patties were dry and overly burnt, less then a 3rd of the burger was finished by my son saying they messed this up bad, my daughter ordered same thing had less then a bite saying it was to burnt to eat wife had the teriyaki salmon plate, for the most part had a nice glaze and tasted good my kids who really don't like fish picked off my wifes plate both saying it was good we ordered several drinks to wash down all their dislikes lol for the kids non-alcoholic and for us alcoholic Manta Ray - several alcohols in this drink it was strong and good, definitely order this Ube-Bae-Baby - pineapple, coconut, ube this was made well I would order this again Banana Dreams - banana, grapefruit, lime, pineapple this was also flavorful I would order this again Pagan Ritual - i could taste the rum but not sure what else was added but I would also order this again of the 4 drinks the presentation of the manta ray and pagan ritual were really well done, put those on your instagram feed again for the food I would not eat here again but for the drinks, ambiance and liveliness of the place definitely a place you want to experience for yourself food ** pass on the food price $$$ service ***** top notch service, helpful staff, friendly staff ambiance ***** been to my share of tiki bars location for this one is spot on, it was open and very visible based on looks alone from other restaurants in the area read more

I love Maui, so anything Hawaiian-themed appeals to me. Fun tropical drinks, spam fries (don't judge me), and live music. I really like this place. My SO doesn't like as much because she's a vegetarian, and there aren't many options for her. read more

Food: was amazing! Everything we ordered was good. To start we ordered the Pupu Sampler Platter which had chicken wings, coconut shrimp, smoked salmon Rangoon and veggie pot stickers. Between the two of us we finished everything! It was that good! For our main entree we got Creamy Salmon Poke Bowl and Tofu Poke bowl and they were both delicious. Each one had different toppings. For drinks, we had Uma Ube and Ube Bae Baby. They were the same drink except the Uma Ube had alcohol. And let me tell you I will get that drink again. It was nice and strong. Service: the staff were very nice. We came as they were getting ready to open so there was no line. Once we ordered the food and drinks came right away. Ambiance: I love the ambiance. Love the decor. It was giving Island Vibes and feels. And the music was nice too. Oh by the way they have an awesome second floor/rooftop lounge. We came on a Friday afternoon but I'd come back again on a Friday night to hang with some friends for delicious island drinks. read more

I've been to Wilfred's Lounge a few times but this time I decided to try the food. Their drinks are amazing because they're not too sweet and they're made with premium ingredients. It's a tiki bar type of lounge which is always fun! Located in the heart of downtown Napa right along the river, the views are definitely worth it and no matter if you're on the rooftop, out on the porch or inside you'll have a great atmosphere. I almost just wanted to have drinks and appetizers but then our waitress recommended the Loco Moco which is only served on Sundays. It did not disappoint. 10/10. The quality of the meat, the mushroom gravy along with the runny egg on top of rice was perfect. We also tried the pineapple fried rice which surprised me because I'm not a big fan of fruit in rice but it totally worked. They do not skimp on flavor, each bite made me want more. Our drinks were the Watermelon Sugar (zero proof) and the Maximum Aloha. Both were delicious and paired well with our meal. Definitely check out Wilfred's Lounge when you're in Napa! read more

We recently took a trip to napa valley and after wine tasting in the morning, we decided to check out the river front. Wilfred's is located right on the river and has two stories. We went to the bar and ordered some cocktails then took them upstairs to the patio. Felt like being at a disneyland resort restaurant with how decorated the place is. Very hawaii/tiki lounge. My husband and I absolutely loved it and our drinks were strong but tasty. Sadly the place was dead! Maybe lunch was a weird time to be there? Hope this place gets the business it deserves! read more

Shanie! Amazing! If I could come here every week I would lol. We came on a Friday and it was busy but not super busy. I really enjoyed the ambiance. We were seated and our waitress, Shanie gave us some good recommendations. To start, I had a cocktail it was really good. My daughter I believe had the Uber Bae Baby, she reallly enjoyed it. We started with spam Mushbi 5 out of 5 my daughter could eat this over and over lol Vegetable potstickers 3 out of 5 (probably just my preference) Fried Plantains (not pictured) 3 out of 5 I probably wouldn't get these again. They are a little harder than I like and lacked salt. Entrees: Chicken Katsu (again not pictured) 5 out of 5. Definitely recommend Pineapple fried rice w/ chicken. 4 out of 5, really good just a few too many nuts. Overall my experience here was very positive, transported me back to Hawaii without taking a plane. The water views are beautiful on a sunny day. There is also a rooftop. read more

As a tiki bar fan, I couldn't pass up checking this spot out. The drinks were fun, there was live music, and the patio overlooking the river made for a great atmosphere. Popped in for lunch on a Saturday not too long after they opened for the day and was able to grab two seats at the bar. The place was exactly what you'd expect for a tiki inspired restaurant and we loved the decor and atmosphere. The bartender was very friendly and helped me pick the perfect drink l. I ended up having two because they were so good. The food was also very good. We only had a few appetizers (wings and natsubi) but the flavor was spectacular and we were very happy with our choices. Will absolutely visit again to try the other menu options I debated ordering. Also worth noting that they sell tiki mugs! Very cool option to take a little bit of the experience home with you. read more

I love an island escape, no passport required. Napa has plenty of wine but, Wilfred's Lounge has the rum, tiki bar vibes, river views, tropical music and island inspired cocktails and cuisine. ‍ I dig the over the top tiki cocktails, whimsical decor, dog-friendly front patio and rooftop deck bar with river views. The Kalua Pork Sliders on Hawaiian Rolls, Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl and the Chicken Teriyaki Poke Bowl were winners. I liked that they include many different things IN the bowls but, I think the protein could have used more flavor. Downtown Napa, 967 First Street. Check them out for lunch, dinner or happy hour. read more

While most people go to Napa for wine (which I did as well) I'll also try to find a good tiki bar anytime I go somewhere new. Ended up getting two cocktails here which both of them tasted great and both of my buddy's were very good too. They offer indoor and outdoor seating with a roof top section overlooking the river two which was very nice. They do have a server running around upstairs to grab you drinks and food which was very conviennent and she was very friendly. Great tiki theme on the main level. Will be going back if I'm ever in Napa again. read more

We really enjoyed eating dinner and watching the sunset at Wilfred's. By the name, it's hard to guess what food they sell since my aunt remembered a Hawaiian/island food restaurant but we had trouble finding it just based on the name. Thankfully I walked to see the water and found it right on the end of the bridge! The service was attentive and the food came out quick. We all finished our plates and were pleased with the reasonable pricing and clean flavors. We had no reservations but were still seated which we appreciated! I'd skip the spam sticks though. Service is always super friendly. Love their location too, right along the river. read more

"I stopped by Wilfred's Lounge during my Napa visit, and the highlight of the meal was definitely the cocktails and poke bowl. The tiki-style cocktails were creative, refreshing, and perfectly crafted, making them a must-try. The poke bowl was fresh, flavorful, and well-balanced with quality ingredients. The restaurant is known for its island-inspired cocktails and Hawaiian-inspired cuisine, which really shines in these dishes. The ambiance is fun and lively with a beautiful riverfront setting that adds to the overall experience. Unfortunately, the salad was underwhelming and lacked the flavor and freshness I was expecting. While not everything was a hit, the excellent drinks, delicious poke bowl, and vibrant atmosphere make this place worth a visit. I'd definitely come back for the cocktails and poke bowl!" read more

I loved Wilfred's when it first opened, but lately it hasn't been as consistent. The tiki drinks are still creative, though many lean too sweet, and the service can be hit-or-miss. We had a great time on a Friday night at Wilfred's! We love tiki bars and Wilfred's did not disappoint. We all got specialty cocktails, I enjoyed my Wilfred's flora. My husband and I shared and order of spam musubi and chicken katsu. Both were delicious and hit all the right notes, except maybe the sauce for the katsu. It's not the traditional sauce, more of a not spicy mayo, which was fine. Mac salad had their twist on it and was yummy. We look forward to coming back when we come to Napa again. Oh we asked the hostess to take our group pic and she was so nice. Took us upstairs to get the best backdrop, and took a bunch! we had no idea there was a second floor and will ask to sit up there next time to get an even better view. read more

Honestly my poke was fine but our other food was meh. The sliders were good too but it's just overall way too expensive to really justify for Hawaiian food. The speciality here is the drinks - they're deliciously depicted on their menu with a list of ingredients inside. We came here for dinner without a reservation and it was no problem getting a table inside the tiki Hawaiian style lounge. We ordered the Kailua sliders, katsu, katsu sando, and poke bowl. If you are a Tikiphile, I would avoid this place like the plague. Tonight was an all-time low. The bar is all open to the outside now and super bright. The music is basically yacht rock. Serious Margaritaville vibes. The bartenders literally do not talk to you unless it's an order. They are super aloof. And this has been written about. Drinks are not bad. But why would anyone want to drink them under 100 watt bulbs and sunlight streaming in at 7:30PM? It's basically not a tiki bar. I guess this vibe is what tourists want. Wilfred's is certainly one of those places that feels like a tourist trap, and it may be. However, we enjoyed some drinks and an appetizer in their amazing atmosphere and beautiful patio located right on Napa river in downtown Napa. After a bit of a rough start waiting for someone to take our order, we ordered some cocktails and an appetizer. The initial ordering process took about 10-15 minutes, but after ordering the food and drinks came out in a reasonable amount of time. Both drinks were boozy and worth the somewhat hefty price tag. The decor here is superb. Truly feels like a tropical island restaurant, though a bit cliche. They also offer many souvenirs such as tiki cups they serve many of their cocktails in. The cocktail list is extensive! Plenty of drink choices for everyone. The fried plantains were the only food option we got during this visit, but they were very tasty. I would recommend a tiny bit more salt. Wilfred's is a fun place to grab a drink and a snack and has a truly one of a kind atmosphere that you won't find anywhere else in Napa. read more
