Food: was amazing! Everything we ordered was good. To start we ordered the Pupu Sampler Platter which had chicken wings, coconut shrimp, smoked salmon Rangoon and veggie pot stickers. Between the two of us we finished everything! It was that good! For our main entree we got Creamy Salmon Poke Bowl and Tofu Poke bowl and they were both delicious. Each one had different toppings. For drinks, we had Uma Ube and Ube Bae Baby. They were the same drink except the Uma Ube had alcohol. And let me tell you I will get that drink again. It was nice and strong. Service: the staff were very nice. We came as they were getting ready to open so there was no line. Once we ordered the food and drinks came right away. Ambiance: I love the ambiance. Love the decor. It was giving Island Vibes and feels. And the music was nice too. Oh by the way they have an awesome second floor/rooftop lounge. We were seated and our waitress, Shanie gave us some good recommendations. To start, I had a cocktail it was really good. My daughter I believe had the Uber Bae Baby, she reallly enjoyed it. We started with spam Mushbi 5 out of 5 my daughter could eat this over and over lol Vegetable potstickers 3 out of 5 (probably just my preference) Fried Plantains (not pictured) 3 out of 5 I probably wouldn't get these again. Popped in for lunch on a Saturday not too long after they opened for the day and was able to grab two seats at the bar. The place was exactly what you'd expect for a tiki inspired restaurant and we loved the decor and atmosphere. The bartender was very friendly and helped me pick the perfect drink l. I ended up having two because they were so good. The food was also very good. We only had a few appetizers (wings and natsubi) but the flavor was spectacular and we were very happy with our choices. Will absolutely visit again to try the other menu options I debated ordering. Also worth noting that they sell tiki mugs! We really enjoyed eating dinner and watching the sunset at Wilfred's. By the name, it's hard to guess what food they sell since my aunt remembered a Hawaiian/island food restaurant but we had trouble finding it just based on the name. Thankfully I walked to see the water and found it right on the end of the bridge! The service was attentive and the food came out quick. Loooove this place for the decor and drinks! I'm a sucker for island themed places, they're just so fun and festive! How could you not have a good time! Love their Ube drink, so pretty and sweet! I like my cocktails icy and sweet without the bitterness of the alqi. We really liked the pork sliders, perfect flavors and moist. Coconut shrimp, sweet potato fries, fried pickles were good too. We had a great time on a Friday night at Wilfred's! We love tiki bars and Wilfred's did not disappoint. We all got specialty cocktails, I enjoyed my Wilfred's flora. My husband and I shared and order of spam musubi and chicken katsu. Both were delicious and hit all the right notes, except maybe the sauce for the katsu. It's not the traditional sauce, more of a not spicy mayo, which was fine. Mac salad had their twist on it and was yummy. We look forward to coming back when we come to Napa again. If you are a Tikiphile, I would avoid this place like the plague. Tonight was an all-time low. The bar is all open to the outside now and super bright. The music is basically yacht rock. Serious Margaritaville vibes. The bartenders literally do not talk to you unless it's an order. They are super aloof. And this has been written about. Drinks are not bad. But why would anyone want to drink them under 100 watt bulbs and sunlight streaming in at 7:30PM? It's basically not a tiki bar. I guess this vibe is what tourists want. Wilfred's is certainly one of those places that feels like a tourist trap, and it may be. However, we enjoyed some drinks and an appetizer in their amazing atmosphere and beautiful patio located right on Napa river in downtown Napa. After a bit of a rough start waiting for someone to take our order, we ordered some cocktails and an appetizer. The initial ordering process took about 10-15 minutes, but after ordering the food and drinks came out in a reasonable amount of time. Both drinks were boozy and worth the somewhat hefty price tag. The decor here is superb. Truly feels like a tropical island restaurant, though a bit cliche. They also offer many souvenirs such as tiki cups they serve many of their cocktails in. The cocktail list is extensive! Plenty of drink choices for everyone. The fried plantains were the only food option we got during this visit, but they were very tasty. I would recommend a tiny bit more salt. Wilfred's is a fun place to grab a drink and a snack and has a truly one of a kind atmosphere that you won't find anywhere else in Napa. read more

I would give Wilfreds a solid 3.5. We stopped in for their happy hour offerings to escape a hot afternoon. The place was relatively empty, but we were greeted immediately and allowed to sit wherever we wanted. Our service was kind, friendly, and quick. We ordered a round of drinks and some appetizers. Everything came out quickly and was tasty! The tiki drinks we got were not too sweet, which is always nice to see. The appetizers were nice, nothing crazy over the top amazing but a nice accompaniment to our drinks. We purchased 4 different mai tais. All so flavorful. The views are magnificent from the 2nd floor (first come, first serve). Service is good! Tried to spam fries, was so good and surprised that they were actually made every single day, freshly sliced out of the can and battered. The drinks were amazing. The bartender was really great and a tentative. Very clean and the view upstairs is very nice.. little on the cold side when I went, but I'm guessing in a later months. My boyfriend and I came here prior to dinner for a drink or two. We had no idea it was happy hour. Our first round of drinks were okay, we definitely enjoyed the second round more. We had the punch the first round and I had the Tai One On the second round, while he had the Grinchmas. The Grinchmas tasted just like mint chip ice cream. So if you like mint chip, you'll like this. If you don't, order something else. I really liked the Tai One On as it reminded me of a rum old fashioned. We also had some bites from the happy hour menu including the chicken wings (3) and fried pickle spears (6). Both were $9 dollars and tasty. But if you're looking for bang for your buck, I would do the pickles rather than the wings. The decorations in the bar area are nice. I'm definitely used to a more dark tiki bar, this once was light and airy. The bartenders were very nice and chatted us up. They're also pretty knowledgeable of the spirits they have on hand there. I would recommend for anyone looking for a break from wine while in Napa Valley. read more

The prices are what you would expect for a specialty themed bar/restaurant, especially in Napa. The decorations everywhere, including the bathroom, upstairs and downstairs, were absolutely epic for the Tiki bars I've seen in the bay area. The owners really went all out on the Polynesian tiki theme. My only complaint about the ambiance, that spoils it a little bit, is the lack of consistent Polynesian/Hawaiian music on their speakers. There was a lot of jazz music which has nothing to do with a Tiki theme. The drinks and the food were very good!! I even took a tiki mug home to remember my pre-birthday celebration with my son. Our server was kind enough to include a few coasters, umbrellas and swizzle sticks to decorate my tiki mug!!I hope this place stays around a long time, because we're definitely coming back as soon as finances allow! read more

The decor here is great, a nice mix between a restaurant and a tiki bar. The food was delicious and the portions were large, however I was a little disappointed by the quality of the drinks. The service was also a bit awkward, to be fair we did come in on a slow, rainy day but the bartender didn't talk to us at all. I didn't necessarily want to get chatted up, but it was weird being the only people in the restaurant sitting at the bar and them not exchanging any words or even looking at us aside from us ordering.
