This place is a new favorite of mine. I think as I go to more and more Tiki Bars, I really gravitate to the ones that have more unique drinks. I make drinks at home. I've had a traditional Mai Tai a million of times. Do you have Tiki Drinks that are going to make me want to drive 45 minutes to you? On top of that, is your food worth it? I'm happy to say that the answer to both of these questions are yes. I've gone here 3 times within the last two weeks and one item that is a constant order is the Orange Chicken. Nowadays I think people are used to the classic super sweet Panda Express style Orange Chicken that you'll also see occasionally at your local Chinese food restaurant. Wilfred's Orange Chicken definitely is sweet but its not as sweet as what I used to and I'm not mad about it. There's a lot of depth with the sauce. I don't know if they are just putting more soy sauce or dark soy sauce...Maybe it's Oyster/Fish sauce? Theres definitely some kind of extra Umami going on. An added plus is that it pair perfectly with the tanginess of the Pineapple Fried Rice. For drinks my favorites have been the Manta Ray and the Sanfroyosko. The reason being is just because these have been the more unique ones that I've been really enjoying. The Manta Ray is more tropical than one might think. However it's tropical with a bit of funk. The combination of the Gin, Falernum, and Sauv Blanc Syrup really add to the complexity. The other drink I really like is the Sanfroyosko. If you are a Mai Tai lover, this is the one to try. The substitution of the typical tums with the Shochu, Sake and Pisco add even more of a Wine and floral flavor profile to the drink. On top of that the Sesame Orgeat gives and even more nuttier flavor than normal. But despite all these flavors going on, it still kinda tastes like a Mai Tai. The service has always been amazing. Every person who has served us has served us with a smile. But even despite how friendly they are, there still remains this sense of professionalism with their interactions. They check in at the perfect times. They ask how we are enjoying everything and share their favorite things to drink/eat. Food: was amazing! Everything we ordered was good. To start we ordered the Pupu Sampler Platter which had chicken wings, coconut shrimp, smoked salmon Rangoon and veggie pot stickers. Between the two of us we finished everything! It was that good! For our main entree we got Creamy Salmon Poke Bowl and Tofu Poke bowl and they were both delicious. Each one had different toppings. For drinks, we had Uma Ube and Ube Bae Baby. They were the same drink except the Uma Ube had alcohol. And let me tell you I will get that drink again. It was nice and strong. I've been to Wilfred's Lounge a few times but this time I decided to try the food. Their drinks are amazing because they're not too sweet and they're made with premium ingredients. We were seated and our waitress, Shanie gave us some good recommendations. To start, I had a cocktail it was really good. My daughter I believe had the Uber Bae Baby, she reallly enjoyed it. Ended up getting two cocktails here which both of them tasted great and both of my buddy's were very good too. Popped in for lunch on a Saturday not too long after they opened for the day and was able to grab two seats at the bar. The place was exactly what you'd expect for a tiki inspired restaurant and we loved the decor and atmosphere. The bartender was very friendly and helped me pick the perfect drink l. I ended up having two because they were so good. The food was also very good. We only had a few appetizers (wings and natsubi) but the flavor was spectacular and we were very happy with our choices. By the name, it's hard to guess what food they sell since my aunt remembered a Hawaiian/island food restaurant but we had trouble finding it just based on the name. We had a great time on a Friday night at Wilfred's! We love tiki bars and Wilfred's did not disappoint. We all got specialty cocktails, I enjoyed my Wilfred's flora. My husband and I shared and order of spam musubi and chicken katsu. Both were delicious and hit all the right notes, except maybe the sauce for the katsu. It's not the traditional sauce, more of a not spicy mayo, which was fine. Mac salad had their twist on it and was yummy. We look forward to coming back when we come to Napa again. But why would anyone want to drink them under 100 watt bulbs and sunlight streaming in at 7:30PM? It's basically not a tiki bar. I guess this vibe is what tourists want. Wilfred's is certainly one of those places that feels like a tourist trap, and it may be. However, we enjoyed some drinks and an appetizer in their amazing atmosphere and beautiful patio located right on Napa river in downtown Napa. After a bit of a rough start waiting for someone to take our order, we ordered some cocktails and an appetizer. The initial ordering process took about 10-15 minutes, but after ordering the food and drinks came out in a reasonable amount of time. Both drinks were boozy and worth the somewhat hefty price tag. The decor here is superb. Truly feels like a tropical island restaurant, though a bit cliche. They also offer many souvenirs such as tiki cups they serve many of their cocktails in. The cocktail list is extensive! Plenty of drink choices for everyone. The fried plantains were the only food option we got during this visit, but they were very tasty. I would recommend a tiny bit more salt. Wilfred's is a fun place to grab a drink and a snack and has a truly one of a kind atmosphere that you won't find anywhere else in Napa. read more

I would give Wilfreds a solid 3.5. We stopped in for their happy hour offerings to escape a hot afternoon. The place was relatively empty, but we were greeted immediately and allowed to sit wherever we wanted. Our service was kind, friendly, and quick. We ordered a round of drinks and some appetizers. Everything came out quickly and was tasty! The tiki drinks we got were not too sweet, which is always nice to see. The appetizers were nice, nothing crazy over the top amazing but a nice accompaniment to our drinks.
