Mussels
Krystal W.

Mussels appetizer 9/10. It was pricey for what it was. It did come with a ton of mussels and two huge slices of bread. I loved how the tomato sauce really complimented the dish. Lobster bisque 10/10. It was the perfect amount of creamy and lobster flavor. It included a few small lobster pieces which were very fresh. We sat near the bar and the bar tender placed the order and brought us drinks. She was working very hard. She had outside and inside tables to manage.

The restaurant is located on the river front in Napa. We were a party of five, arrived early. They were happy to seat us early. Service was awesome. Paced our meal, didn't rush us...I'd in Napa this is a must..

Fish & chips plus delicious Caymus blend red wine

The lobster bisque was delicious. However the fish & chips blew us away. It was light, crispy & full of flavor. Dining riverfront on a sunny, cool day was relaxing & enjoyable.

10/10 we love it here!! The ceviche is next level! Always great service and the food is amazing!

We thought we'd try Waterfront again for the crab cakes. We ordered the calamari and shrimp which was super greasy. We split a Cesar salad, it was fine. I had the Chilean sea bass over house made noodles. I really enjoyed the noodles and the sea bass was a hefty piece. My spouse had the crab cakes which were super gummy. Corkage was $25 but it is waived if you buy a bottle from their list. Check your bill to make sure that happens.

Came here for our New Year's Eve dinner, and the place was absolutely packed--especially considering it was a rainy night. Waterfront Grill is located in downtown Napa, so we parked in the nearby parking garage and walked over. The restaurant itself is pretty small, and even though we had dinner reservations, we still ended up waiting an additional 30 minutes. It seemed like people were lingering at their tables, chatting away without realizing how many others were waiting. From what I could tell, the restaurant is designed for guests to enjoy dining outside by the river, which probably makes for a really nice experience on a warm day. But since it was cold and raining on NYE, the patio was closed. That meant everyone was squeezed inside, and it felt overcrowded with very little space to move or sit comfortably. I was honestly underwhelmed by the food. I ordered the ceviche, but the flavor was overwhelming--almost like eating straight wasabi. Our waitress was kind and understanding, and she offered to replace it with a lobster bisque, which I appreciated. I wasn't very hungry that night, so I stuck with the soup. For my main dish, I ordered the crab cakes, which were just okay. Nothing memorable. My boyfriend had the steamed mussels and scallops, and he said they were fine but not amazing. The atmosphere didn't help much either. The music was loud, and with the crowd packed in so tightly, it felt more chaotic than festive. Overall, it wasn't the New Year's Eve dinner experience we were hoping for. Maybe it's better on a regular night or when the patio is open, but for us, it just didn't live up to the hype.

I had traveled 1.5 hours to Napa to spend the 4th of July holiday with my family -- we were in search of a restaurant that offers a lovely view but also quality food! We wanted a relaxing and memorable experience. We came across the Waterfront Seafood Grill -- comes highly recommended online. And in our experience -- exceptional and a wonderful treat! The team at the Waterfront Seafood Grill is very kind and attentive, providing wonderful service. Our entrees were exceptional -- I enjoyed all but my favorite would be the clam chowder and the lobster roll. I didn't get to try dessert but I would try next time -- I would definitely dine here, again, in the future. If you're dining on the patio, the view is serene and incredible, and you will feel that slight breeze. As it was my first time dining here; it exceeded my expectations. I would recommend to others and would return when I am in Napa! The Waterfront Seafood Grill is one of the finest that the Valley has to offer!

Beautiful restaurant with a great, upfront view of the Napa river. We had optimal patio seating for our Sunday brunch. We had wine and cocktails, loved my sweet, flowery drink (strong) and my friend loved her Duckhorn Sauv blanc. Tasty ceviche, super yummy, tantalizing grilled Bourbon oysters, filling lobster avo toast, and warm, comforting banana bread. There were a good amount of brunch offerings and lunch items were available, however, I'd categorize this establishment as more for lunch/HH/dinner than full on brunch, IMHO. Service was prompt and friendly. Thnx, Jose, for being so attentive and accommodating! Looking forward to returning for lunch/dinner.

Overall really good, quick and attentive service. We had the steamed mussels and sourdough, ceviche, lobster roll and clam fettuccine. The lobster rolls was great, sweet and buttery with fresh whole pieces of lobster. The clam pasta was good, a nice mix of citrus, creamy butter and a hint of garlic and red pepper. The mussels were probably the best. I just wish it came with more bread for the sauce. Only complaint was the ceviche, which was covered in a salsa Verde cilantro sauce. It kinda just covered up the natural citrus and fish flavor I expect in ceviche.

3.5 stars. The food was good but I wasn't blown away. We ordered a little too carb heavy so I was too full for dessert but heard they have fantastic desserts. Service was good. They were very attentive. It was one of the places that wasn't too busy on a Friday night.

From the moment you walk in to the moment you sit down, you're wrapped in a truly lavish experience. The service was excellent, and the food was nothing short of epic--just look at the photos, they'll make your mouth water. I only wish I'd had time to go back again during my visit to Napa. With its beautiful views, the Waterfront Grill is an outstanding dining spot worth savoring.

Shrimp and calamari fritti

Came here for dinner with our friends. It was our first time. We had reservations, but came early since we were already in the area. They seated us outside. It was a little cold outside, but they turned the heaters on. The heaters definitely made it comfortable to sit outside. We started with the shrimp and calamari fritti and crab cakes. The fritti was delicious. The calamari was very tender. Nice pieces of onions and shrimp in the mix. There were also fried olives. Not a piece left - it was devoured. The crab cake order came with 2 pieces. They were small in portion, but delicious. The remoulade sauce was a perfect pairing. As a side, we ordered a cup of clam chowder. It was a small cup of chowder. My husband took a spoonful and I finished it off. It was so good. Had good balance of bacon, potatoes, clam and did I mention bacon!!! My husband wanted more, but saw it disappeared, oops. I ordered the filet mignon and my husband ordered the scallops. Our friends ordered the filet mignon with shrimp and lobster ravioli. My filet mignon was perfectly cooked. I requested medium. It was well seasoned and melted in my mouth. The mashed potatoes and vegetables were delicious. I tried my husband's scallop, half of one. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. It was so good that he devoured it and I didn't get a chance to get another bite! We ordered dessert, Tracy's Mocha cake. This is the reason why I couldn't give 5 stars. We waited at least 15 minutes before asking the server about dessert. She said that the pastry chef left and the head chef had to put it together. When we got it, the cake was dry. It was almost as if the cake was not fresh. We had to send it back, we took small bites and it was just not good. Otherwise, the service was great and the appetizers and main entrees were delicious.

With a wasabi and fennel infused vodka, it was too unique not to be curious about. Upon arriving and looking over the menu, SEVERAL cocktails stood out to me as intriguing to try. I started with the Wabi Sabi which was as interesting as it sounded. While I didn't pick up on fennel, you do pick up on the wasabi, but in the most subtle of ways. Think maybe lime/ginger sparkling water with just a hint of spice. Refreshing and different for sure. I also tried the Mucha Lucha w/ cilantro infused Siete Leguas Blanco, chorizo infused mezcal and cubes made of hot sauce that make the drink have a bit more of a kick as you allow them to melt. I did the HH chips and guac which was also accompanied with a tasty Chipotle sauce. Damn good actually. It'd be excellent served in a variety of ways. The deviled eggs aren't going to blow your mind, but I like that you get 4 different ones- and simply because I love eggs, I'd order them again. (They just wouldn't be a dish that brings me back). The bartender was great- helpful and attentive, even as more people began to filter in for an early afternoon. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Napa to check out some other menu options.

So of course, after our spirit tasting at Napa Valley, we walked a short distance to the ArBARetum. We grabbed a table outside and the two gentlemen in our group got the complimentary cocktails. We also ordered the Pastrami Nachos, which was a big hit. We had a short but enjoyable visit here but didn't want to be late for our dinner reservation, right next door at Scala! Of course, we'll return for more great cocktails and friendly service!

Great tunes, great atmosphere, and a bartender who clearly knows how to make great drinks. We asked what music they normally play and they responded it depends. At their busy times it's mostly hip hop and R&B, other times the bartender's will throw some music on. I would suggest stopping in to have a great cocktail and see what they're playing. This was a fun, unexpected stop that made our night even better. Shout out to JV for the fun experience! I didn't catch the other staff members names but they were funny and welcoming as well. As soon as we approached the venue, there was a long line of people waiting to get inside. We arrived a bit later (around 8pm), and the crowd had already started to fill the venue. Mind you, it's a decent sized venue but not a massive space -- enough to accommodate at minimum 100 and likely max of 200 while still staying within code. There were several people coming in and out of the door, where the GM and bouncer for the night , appeared extremely stressed due to the amount of people in line and inside. A woman, who happened to be the wife of the DJ, stepped out to make a phone call and when she attempted to get back inside, proceeded to get yelled at by the bouncer saying she needed to go to the back of the line and wait like everyone else. The woman attempted to tell the bouncer her husband, who was the guest DJ for the night and is a historical, world renowned DJ (again using big names to draw crowds, and appropriating vinyl culture, but not respecting the very people in attendance), needed to tell him she'd be outside and would sit in the car. The GM started to yell and disrespect the DJs wife, and she ended up staying outside. Apparently this GM and venue are not used to larger crowds, and she essentially cracked under pressure. She went on to tell us the capacity was 67, and that they "were already at 200", which is a lie because there was a ton of space between people inside the venue (we have photos to prove it). She kept yelling and pushing people back. Girlfriend, this was not a Vegas club night. This crowd is 40+ (age) crowd, so it's not like people were out of control and acting debaucherous -- everyone was respecting the rules. If you couldn't handle the crowd, which btw you agreed prior to the 80-100 people expected for the party, then why was it such a hassle for your venue to handle the capacity. You knew a larger crowd was expected that night, it's your responsibility as a business owner to adequately staff the bar, door, etc. Yes; we needed to respect the door and the rules -- and everyone did. I won't get into further detail, but a physical altercation took place after the woman tried to return a second time (to again get her husband and tell him what was going on given she was being harassed at the door), putting hands on her in the process. Just completely out of line. Overall, this venue wants to appropriate the music and DJ culture, yet when the actual music and DJ community show up, there is no respect. Let alone for loyal patrons who have frequented your business and brought tons of revenue to the bar that night (which btw was extremely slow). Don't fall for the dog and pony show here. Go somewhere else that touts respects for their patrons, and for all walks of life -- not just the pretentious kind.
