Great time on an Industry Night. Local feel and nice drinks. Recommend going if you just need a break from wine.

This was a pleasant find- as it was something that felt uniquely different to the area. While…read morefollowing their social media, they advertised a new spring cocktail- Wabi Sabi. With a wasabi and fennel infused vodka, it was too unique not to be curious about. Upon arriving and looking over the menu, SEVERAL cocktails stood out to me as intriguing to try. I started with the Wabi Sabi which was as interesting as it sounded. While I didn't pick up on fennel, you do pick up on the wasabi, but in the most subtle of ways. Think maybe lime/ginger sparkling water with just a hint of spice. Refreshing and different for sure. I also tried the Mucha Lucha w/ cilantro infused Siete Leguas Blanco, chorizo infused mezcal and cubes made of hot sauce that make the drink have a bit more of a kick as you allow them to melt. I did the HH chips and guac which was also accompanied with a tasty Chipotle sauce. Damn good actually. It'd be excellent served in a variety of ways. The deviled eggs aren't going to blow your mind, but I like that you get 4 different ones- and simply because I love eggs, I'd order them again. (They just wouldn't be a dish that brings me back). The bartender was great- helpful and attentive, even as more people began to filter in for an early afternoon. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Napa to check out some other menu options.

We popped in and found JV behind the bar, spinning great music ahead of an event they were hosting. He made some drink suggestions and they were 100/10! I got the Manhattan and Old Fashioned while my wife got the white gummy (wish we got a picture of them but the quality was perfect). The energy was instantly welcoming and refreshingly unpretentious. Great tunes, great atmosphere, and a bartender who clearly knows how to make great drinks. We asked what music they normally play and they responded it depends. At their busy times it's mostly hip hop and R&B, other times the bartender's will throw some music on. I would suggest stopping in to have a great cocktail and see what they're playing. This was a fun, unexpected stop that made our night even better. Shout out to JV for the fun experience! I didn't catch the other staff members names but they were funny and welcoming as well. Here is a picture of JV in a stitch beanie his Manager brought him.

Conveniently located near several downtown staple stops, it's an easy addition to an afternoon or evening exploring the area. The cocktail menu is extensive, with plenty of creative options and stories behind many of the drinks. For my fellow gin cocktail girlies, I'd recommend starting with the Bronx Cocktail. For round two, the Bee's Sneeze is another solid choice. I paired my drinks with the lobster roll, which was the standout food item of my visit. The bun was light, fluffy, and perfectly toasted. While the lobster salad wasn't the best I've ever had, it was a very solid bite for a dive-lounge-style bar. I'd skip the chips it comes with, but the fries are absolutely worth ordering. One small service hiccup worth mentioning: the fries are listed as coming with a herb aioli, but mine arrived with ketchup. When I asked about the aioli, my server initially tried to play it off before eventually sharing that they were out. Not a dealbreaker by any means, but it was an odd interaction that could have been handled more directly. The atmosphere is a dark, casual lounge with a cozy hole-in-the-wall feel along the river. The staff was welcoming. If you're looking to trade wine tasting for a cocktail side quest, The Fink is definitely worth a visit.

The record selection is incredible -- thoughtfully curated with everything from classics to hard-to-find gems -- and you can tell it's run by people who genuinely love music. The food is just as impressive, with a creative, fresh menu. The dishes use the highest quality ingredients, from cheeses and charcuterie to the baguette for the jamón sandwich. What really sets Folklore apart is the atmosphere they've built through their live music and community events. From intimate performances to fun gatherings, there's always something happening that makes the space feel vibrant and alive. Where else in Napa are you going to see a live performance from an amazing indie band like Suzzallo or attend a listening party for the latest Morrissey album! It's more than just a record shop or restaurant -- it feels like a true community hub for music lovers. The staff are also fantastic: welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Every visit feels personal and memorable. Folklore is the kind of place that gives Napa real character, and I can't recommend it enough.

This place is a new favorite of mine…read more I think as I go to more and more Tiki Bars, I really gravitate to the ones that have more unique drinks. I make drinks at home. I've had a traditional Mai Tai a million of times. Do you have Tiki Drinks that are going to make me want to drive 45 minutes to you? On top of that, is your food worth it? I'm happy to say that the answer to both of these questions are yes. I've gone here 3 times within the last two weeks and one item that is a constant order is the Orange Chicken. Nowadays I think people are used to the classic super sweet Panda Express style Orange Chicken that you'll also see occasionally at your local Chinese food restaurant. Wilfred's Orange Chicken definitely is sweet but its not as sweet as what I used to and I'm not mad about it. There's a lot of depth with the sauce. I don't know if they are just putting more soy sauce or dark soy sauce...Maybe it's Oyster/Fish sauce? Theres definitely some kind of extra Umami going on. An added plus is that it pair perfectly with the tanginess of the Pineapple Fried Rice. For drinks my favorites have been the Manta Ray and the Sanfroyosko. The reason being is just because these have been the more unique ones that I've been really enjoying. The Manta Ray is more tropical than one might think. However it's tropical with a bit of funk. The combination of the Gin, Falernum, and Sauv Blanc Syrup really add to the complexity. The other drink I really like is the Sanfroyosko. If you are a Mai Tai lover, this is the one to try. The substitution of the typical tums with the Shochu, Sake and Pisco add even more of a Wine and floral flavor profile to the drink. On top of that the Sesame Orgeat gives and even more nuttier flavor than normal. But despite all these flavors going on, it still kinda tastes like a Mai Tai. The service has always been amazing. Every person who has served us has served us with a smile. But even despite how friendly they are, there still remains this sense of professionalism with their interactions. They check in at the perfect times. They ask how we are enjoying everything and share their favorite things to drink/eat. With the amazing tiki decor and island music, you really do feel like you are on an Island anytime you eat here.

From the outside it doesn't look like a garden or even a beer garden but this place is a full on sports bar. The US mens national team was playing at noon for the world cup but we showed up at 10:30 am. The owner told us he was stressed because the whole place was reserved and packed for the game which wasn't very welcoming. The servers looked extremely busy so we kept having to ask whoever ran by for something we needed. The food, thankfully , was spectacular. I had the biscuit breakfast sandwich no cheese with sausage and I wish I could have fit another in my stomach. The biscuit was huge and flaky and tender and the eggs were fluffy. I shared it with my kid with a side of tots and it was scrumptious. I asked for the aioli on the side but it was lemony with a spicy kick. I hadn't had something like that but it was a nice fresh creamy taste with the tots and sandwich.

It was pretty empty on a Saturday morning around 11:30am, which might be because of the location (kind of at the far end of downtown, and we had to find street parking 2 blocks away). We opted for a flight, which was 5 of the Tannery beers on draft, for $16 - a great deal in my opinion. My friend expressed interest in one of the sours that wasn't on the menu for the flight, and they were kind enough to give us an extra taste of that one without us even asking! They had food offerings, but we were still full from brunch, so didn't get to try them out. Overall, cute place that would be a great option to hang out over beers and some food - looks like they do some really cool events too.
