But the Costco around the corner has great deals so we got a $150 bottle of wine for $50 (less than 2 tastings) and took it to the waterfront and drank it while watching a beautiful sunset. My husband and I were able to call ahead and schedule a very last-minute tasting, and from the very beginning, the hospitality was exceptional. I work in the wine industry on the retail side in Texas, while my husband does not, so creating an experience that feels both educational and approachable for both of us is not always easy. Steve absolutely nailed it. He welcomed us warmly, shared thoughtful stories about the wines and the winery, and made the experience feel incredibly personal. The tasting room itself is beautiful and feels like a hidden gem in Napa. We especially loved learning about the wines and the woman winemaker behind Levendi. The tasting was stunning from start to finish. What truly sets Levendi apart, though, is the level of hospitality. Since our visit, I have referred many of my favorite clients to Levendi, and Steve consistently goes above and beyond for them. He bends over backwards to make sure my customers are taken care of, and every single person I've sent has come back raving about their experience. At this point, a trip to Napa would not feel complete without a stop at Levendi. I honestly cannot imagine Napa without Levendi -- or Steve. If it's your first visit, do yourself a favor and try the Stagecoach. You won't be sorry.

Not only did they give us two mini cups of wine, they also comped the tiramisu as a gift. It goes to show how attentive and extraordinary the staff and their service is. This restaurant would have to be one of the best restaurants I've been to with such amazing service. The dungeness crab arancini was so flavorful and crisp, not a single part of it was soggy (aside from the inside). The sauce brought the whole dish together and I was pleasantly surprised to taste how well the parmesan cheese went with the entire dish. The short rib was also truly amazing. It was so tender and paired really well with every single aspect of the dish. The short rib is definitely a must-have for anyone who hasn't ordered it yet. I will say, the 12oz ribeye did unfortunately fall short. It looked like it was cooked perfectly with a crispy crust on the exterior but it ended up being a little too tough to chew and cooked too much (we had ordered medium rare and it was cooked to medium well). My partner enjoyed his sides at least and we traded dishes halfway through so he can also enjoy the short rib. But the whole experience made up for that shortcoming! As for the dessert, both were incredible. You can't mess up a vanilla affogato so we enjoyed it tremendously, it was refreshing to have after eating all that meat. As for the tiramisu, it was so good that we wished we could have a whole tray of it. It paired so perfectly with the strawberry and was so delicious. Words can't explain how good the tiramisu tasted. Overall a 10/10.

Housley seemed to fit the bill--good reviews, dog-friendly (we had her dog with us), and what seemed to be a reasonable tasting price. We get there and we realize it's owned by Tamera Mowry (who is now Mowry-Housley!) There's a picture of her and her husband (a former baseball player) in the window. We're sort-of starstruck. Shortly after, her husband (and the winery's owner) Adam walks up with their daughter and asks us how we're doing. We continue to be starstruck. Service was wonderful. Seating was comfy. The views weren't the best (we were drinking on the sidewalk and there's a parklet too.) The 5 wines for $29 was not bad, but the size of the pours was lacking. The first pour was the smallest and then slowly they seemed to give us more (maybe they heard me!) Honestly, the pricier wines tasted better. The staff as I've mentioned before is unrivaled. Leslie, Kat, Kelly, and Ben make each visit special. It's more than just the magnificent wines and their knowledge. We really enjoy speaking with them and hearing their insights on the local area, plus just general life talk. We were pleased to meet a new member today, Alyssa, who will be replacing Ben as Tasting Manager. Ben is moving on to other things with AO. Alyssa was nice enough to come over and speak with us, and I feel she going to be a welcome addition to the Collective. For the first-time reader of one of my AO reviews, this location is incredible. Pefectly placed on the corner of the main drag. The heart of Downtown Napa for any of our visits. Excellent for relaxing and people watching. The room is gorgeous and maintained beautifully. A glorious time was had this past weekend ..for a few…read morefriends and I exploring this winery on a sponsored marathon called Wicked Wine Run. Huge, lovely vineyard creeping your way into napa valley territory located off kirkland road which also takes you to highway 12. Getting ready to walk our way thru the vineyard ( thankfully we only signed up for a good mile....) we were able to enjoy several different wines. I especially loved a pinot grigio at the end to clear my pallet with the crisp fresh taste. Overall great day...will have to come back and do a sit down event here soon. Ciao for now!

The wine is provided by Laird Winery, family owned and operated. Light whites to full reds. Reasonably priced. The food is provided by the same chef from Fumé Bistro so you KNOW without a doubt it's going to be delicious! Options! Sunrise Ranch is located at the base of napa valley so a great stop on your way in or out coming from the Bay Area or Sacramento. The price is right.
