fun, chill vibes! we came for a drink/wine tasting. We got the red wine flight which was great, loved the syrah & cabernet the best. Also got the Frosé Bubble Float, which was good but smaller than expected. We came in time for Singo Bingo (Mon 6-8pm) which was really fun! Highly recommend for a fun Monday Night :) also Jake was an awesome host!

We stopped in here and had a wonderful evening listening to live music over a bottle of wine. I can't recall the artist name, he was very talented-he played lots of great cover songs and some originals! The wine was amazing. The crowd and ambience was laid back, relaxed and a perfect way to kick off the weekend!

What a fun spot!! Just spent my Sunday afternoon/evening here with my girls. After two rounds of Jell-O shots, two bottles and 3 flights we got on a really great vibe. Had so much fun playing singo bingo loved all the jams had a great time

My husband and I walked in on a quiet Wednesday night to finish celebrating my birthday. We found a cozy both near the back and enjoyed the varied music selections, pleasant vibes, and edgy decor. It felt like being invited to a cool friend's place! Even though we were near the back, Daniella was very attentive and took such good care of us. Her service, style, and smile were all impeccable. I had the white flight with the addition of an extra taste of platinum butter Chardonnay (so good!). My husband had the red flight. Both were well balanced and definitely fit the vibes. We also, shared an order of fries with delicious aioli sauce from Tarla (the restaurant next door). In closing, our experience was wonderful! I have no notes!

One of the wifey's favorite wines is the Butter Chardonnay. Since we were in town for her birthday we just had to drop by. We arrived on a Friday afternoon. The wine tasting room is located in a nice area in downtown Napa next to the city hall. Parking is accessible with street parking. This was our second time visiting the JaM Cellars tasting room. The music studio like influenced decor is cozy and inviting. I remember the first time we visited was on a Saturday afternoon. We did a tasting in the outdoor patio with old school RnB music blasting in the background. It was a cool nice vibe going on. Our second time around was more of a chill relaxing vibe due to it being on a Friday afternoon with less of a crowd. We sat inside on the lounge chairs and couch with the kids hanging as well. Our glasses of Butter Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon was quite satisfying. Overall we enjoyed our experience at the JaM Cellars tasting room. We will be back.

JaM was our last stop for our afternoon in Napa. We loved the musical atmosphere and, more importantly, we enjoyed our wine. We do prefer a tasting with all wines poured at the beginning, and JaM instead brings the glass (already poured) one at a time. However, the execution of this method was impeccable - they pay attention from afar and bring your next glass before you even realize you're ready for the next.

Wine jell-o shot with pop rocks topping

I absolutely loved this place! My friend and I were in Napa for a weekend trip and decided to head downtown for some live music to cap our night. We ended up here because it was recommended by the hotel, but also as soon as we got out of our Uber, the music from down the street attracted us anyways. The live singer was incredible and interacted with the crowd well. She took some requests while also playing her own setlist of classics, popular hits, and original music. We had their signature wine jell-o shot and a glass of wine each. The staff and crowd were both awesome and really made the place fun. Next time I'm in Napa I'll definitely be back!

In November 2018 my wife and I + friends visited JaM Cellars and enjoyed a few bottles of their delicious 2016 Cabernet. Fast forward to 2024, to celebrate a friend's birthday, my wife and I made the one hour and some change drive from Elk Grove to Downtown Napa...our first stop...JaM Cellars. As we walked through the doors, we were simultaneously greeted by the sounds of 90's R&B music and a friendly employee. As we took in the cozy environment, the employee (unfortunately I did not obtain her name) handed us menus and made pleasant small talk with our group. To get the party started, we enjoyed toasting a round of their rosé Jello shots with Pop Rocks as a topping...who would have thought that this would be such a delicious pairing! Afterwards we ordered snacks to enjoy before indulging in a bottle of wine. My wife and I shared an order of their delicious Greek Fries, which are a perfect serving size for prepping an empty stomach for delicious wine. We then ordered a bottle of their 2020 Cabernet, which did not disappoint! As we took slow sips of our wine and chatted amongst ourselves, a large group of individuals entered the tasting room and commanded use of the guitar. As they sat in a circle in the seating area near the entrance, they passed the guitar around the circle and did beautiful covers of pop songs...I'm all for an impromptu live performance! Every so often the employee would stop by our table and check in on us. Prior to closing out our tab, the employee thoughtfully presented the birthday girl with a glass of bubbles. I am so thankful that this was our first stop, it was the perfect venue for kicking-off our wine tasting adventure...thank you JaM Cellars!

First off.... Delicious wines and a great wine tasting experience! I love the location it was in perfect waking distance to other great spots. The wine here has a great selection for all different types of winos :) the price is fair especially considering the location. The service was good (not great) but good. Definitely knowledgeable but didn't seem too attractive to our particular small group. But it wouldn't stop me from visiting again.

This establishment is impressive. It's our first time here and we celebrated New Year's Eve until countdown. We enjoyed the music and of course a bottle of Chardonnay. Our new fave to relax and unwind. Shout out to Mr. Bo, he did take care of our needs and also provided excellent customer service. Highly recommended.

I really like the aesthetics of the building. They had music playing over the loud speakers. The sounds were very clear. The wine was very good. I had a glass of the syrah. My partner had a Sauvignon Blanc which was light and crisp. Both were something I would drink again.

Since this was our last stop of the day, we went with one glass of the Brut ($16) each to toast the birthday girl, the Caviar Flight that includes three 0.5 ounce jars of caviar, potato chips, toast points, Carr crackers, small bowl of crème fraiche and lemon wedges, and tried the salmon gougeres. While they had good flavor, they were on the drier side. We easily hit our minimum spend with the selection and enjoyed the French opulence, along with the cute goods for purchase on the way out. They also added 18% automatically for our party of 6 to the final bill. Great for pictures, although we got rained in. Still a good stop for sparkling wine lovers.

From the moment we walked in they could NOT be bothered to have an ounce of customer service. We waited more than half an hour for a table despite a reservation, most of it being ignored, only to be plopped down at a random table without an umbrella and next to a couple who REEKED of weed. Sure, not the winery's problem, HOWEVER, said couple arrived after us and was sat before. Maybe they're VIPs? Maybe not. The fact remains that the staff made zero effort to welcome us or make it a pleasant outing. On to the tasting - we waited 15 MORE minutes before a waiter came over and by then, we were pretty fed up with the situation and weren't interested in any of the spiel so just ordered right away. Your mileage might vary if you choose to let them tell you about their winery, but honestly, I wouldn't hold my breath. He made a single apology (and to his credit, he was spread pretty thin - this places needs A LOT more staff and for everyone to, I don't know, actually care?!?!). Our cheese plate was delivered and we weren't sure which crackers were gluten free and when asked a simple question about the kind of milk in the cheese, the food runner told us we had to ask the waiter, but then it was on us to flag him down. Seriously - could they be any more careless? Finally, get to the check and they READ YOUR TOTAL OUT LOUD! Who does that? The lack of tact and decorum was appalling!

Everyone having wine chose the Signature Flight, which included one white and three reds. I appreciated the option to substitute a Sauvignon Blanc for the Chardonnay, a nice personal touch. Each wine was distinctive, balanced, and delicious in its own way. You could really tell the care and craftsmanship behind every pour. What really stood out was the hospitality. Our host was not only incredibly thoughtful but impressively knowledgeable. She explained where each wine's grapes were grown, described the flavor profiles we could expect, and added insights into how the terroir influenced the wine -- all without it ever feeling too technical or over our heads. Even better, our designated driver was offered iced tea, lemonade, or an Arnold Palmer, which I really appreciated. It's always a plus when tasting rooms consider the full group's experience, not just the drinkers. The vibe was so warm and relaxing, we ended up staying for over two hours. It felt less like a stop and more like a true experience. Definitely one of the highlights of our time in downtown Napa.

Quality/Quantity - I had a hard time with the website making my appointment, it's a user issue as I am just not tech savvy. So I called and someone actually answered the phone and made my appointment for me, THANK you! We arrived 15 mins early, so we hung out in the lobby reading all the history, etc. Then Skip took us to the best view overlooking the vineyard for our tasting; see pictures! We sampled almost ALL the reds! All of which were good. See pictures. I like the fact that we did side by side tastings of many of his wines. My favorites were the 2022 Primitivo and 2021 Malbec, which we bought a few bottles of. Ambiance - Secluded private winery. Close to main Downtown Napa, but far enough away for privacy and a feeling of being far away. Appointment only, so very private and customer focused. Typically no more than 3 parties at a time. Today was considered a very busy day as there were 4 parties including us, lol. Gated private estate. 200 acres. Plenty of parking, especially since hosting only 3 guests at a time. Events - See their website. Well behaved dogs are allowed outdoors. Service - Skip is a history buff and we both talked for hours... After leaving, well really the next day (LOL), I realized that our tasting was supposed to be only 60 minutes. I guess because we got along so well, we stayed until closing! And he gave me a glass with a generous splash and let us walk the property alone after they left! So welcoming and trusting. Price - Depends on which tasting and what you buy; see their website for prices. Tastings range from $50 to $100 per person. One free designated driver allowed. Tasting fees waived with wine equivalent purchases. Hike tours $75 per person ($60 for club members). See their website for more information. Shortly after, her husband (and the winery's owner) Adam walks up with their daughter and asks us how we're doing. We continue to be starstruck. Service was wonderful. Seating was comfy. The views weren't the best (we were drinking on the sidewalk and there's a parklet too.) The 5 wines for $29 was not bad, but the size of the pours was lacking. The first pour was the smallest and then slowly they seemed to give us more (maybe they heard me!) Honestly, the pricier wines tasted better. I wish our wine tasting could've been free if we bought two bottles or something--I would've done that! Cute merch and store with goodies inside. Bathroom is clean. Would be back!
