Christian and Lay were such great hosts! I learned so much about the wine while having a great time with friends. Highly recommend to people wanting a chill day in downtown Napa! Will be recommending to everyone I know.

I'm shocked more folks weren't in here yesterday! This place has the best wine & wonderful staff. Also, the interior is welcoming, pretty & fun! You all are missing out if you haven't tried 29!

I was walking downtown when the beautiful decor of this tasting room caught my eye! I decided to stop in and check out their wine selections. I was greeted right away and told I could sit wherever I wanted! I decided to sit on one of their beautiful couches! A nice gentleman came over and i selected one of their tasting options. I'm not really a red wine kind of person, but theirs was really good!! I even bought a bottle! Will be back!!

This spot was recommended by another tasting room in the area and I loved the interior of the tasting room! It felt very posh. I got a glass of the rose since the server said it was pretty dry, which it was. I would definitely come back

    Glass if Sauvignon Blanc.

First off the aesthetic here is unmatched. I loved it so cute for a girls day or even a solo date. You can do tasting or buy wine by the glass. I came in for a glass as I waited for happy hour at the Archer. The guy helping me was so helpful and customer service was amazing! I had a glass Sauvignon Blanc which was $20. Price point a bit high but you pay for the aesthetic I'm sure. Nonetheless the wine was awesome. The vibes were impeccable and the aesthetic was unmatched. 5 stars.

This is a beautiful, relaxed, wine tasting room in the heart of downtown Napa. It is locally owned and part of the Vineyard 29 winery in St Helena, which of course also offers tasting experiences, but with food and a chef. Here, there is no food, just water and breadsticks for your wine tasting. But the large spacious room is gorgeous in white and black elegance and very comfortable. Reservations are required, although a young couple walked in and there was room to accommodate them that Sunday afternoon. Vineyard 29 was created by Teresa Norton and Tom Paine in 1989 with their first release in 1992. It was acquired by Chuck and Anna McMinn in 2000 along with the Aida winery. It is known for it's red wine, particularly their Cabernet Sauvignon, but they also have a Pinot Noir, Rose and Sauvignon Blanc, with wines generally rated in the 90's, developed with old world methods combined with new world processes. Here in this luxury downtown location, we had Jonathan as our guide, who is very down to earth despite the upscale positioning of this space, with wing-backed black chairs, chandeliers and large sculpted black Giraffe art decorations against white walls in a space inspired like an Apple store, with a large open front access and a large bar area in the rear, not unlike a Genius Bar of tech retail fame. There are several tasting experiences, starting at $40 for 3 wine samplings which typically includes a Sauvignon Blanc, Rose, and Cabernet, but we replaced the Rose with a Pinot Noir. The wines are separated in to 2 general groups, with their CRU label and Vineyard 29 group, further delineated by the V29 and Aida grapes. The per glass tastings start at $20. The wines represented here are high end wines, with the less complex wines under $100/bottle, and the higher end Cabernets reaching $300-$400 each, depending on composition, terroir and age. My wine tasting companion and I had a relaxed time chatting in leisure and enjoying these fine wines in a luxurious environment on a beautiful summers day in downtown Napa.

Vineyard 29 was our second visit to a wine tasting room ever. What an absolute gem. Max welcomed us and got us started with warm hospitality. While Max got pulled off onto a large party, Gregory took over for the remainder of the time and he was absolutely amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable and warm with us in conversation. We were here doing the mid tier taste test and were impressed by every single offering. We ultimately ended up obtaining membership and getting three bottles. Kudos to such great wine and great staff. Gregory and Max really made our visit special and we will be back again very soon.

The most beautiful tasting room in Napa. I went when they first opened and the staff here are so nice! They were attentive and educational on the wines and options we had (tasting vs bottle). Got a bottle of Rose to share and it was only around $30+ chilled. I love the decorations here and it's definitely Instagram worthy. Grabbed lunch someone in downtown Napa and head right over to the tasting room.

Absolutely amazing experience. This tasting room is by far my most favorite downtown indulgence yet. The staff is at your service, beyond friendly and knowledgeable about the wine the serve. The decor and vibe is so eclectic and well thought out. I felt like I was visiting a celebrity and enjoying wine in their home. I'm pretty particular about wine and I was pleasantly blown away with the wines I tasted here. Ask for Da Marcus, he was a fabulous host. I will be returning asap!

Everyone having wine chose the Signature Flight, which included one white and three reds. I appreciated the option to substitute a Sauvignon Blanc for the Chardonnay, a nice personal touch. Each wine was distinctive, balanced, and delicious in its own way. You could really tell the care and craftsmanship behind every pour. What really stood out was the hospitality. Our host was not only incredibly thoughtful but impressively knowledgeable. She explained where each wine's grapes were grown, described the flavor profiles we could expect, and added insights into how the terroir influenced the wine -- all without it ever feeling too technical or over our heads. Even better, our designated driver was offered iced tea, lemonade, or an Arnold Palmer, which I really appreciated. It's always a plus when tasting rooms consider the full group's experience, not just the drinkers. The vibe was so warm and relaxing, we ended up staying for over two hours. It felt less like a stop and more like a true experience. Definitely one of the highlights of our time in downtown Napa.

But dog friendly. Quality/Quantity - I had a hard time with the website making my appointment, it's a user issue as I am just not tech savvy. So I called and someone actually answered the phone and made my appointment for me, THANK you! We arrived 15 mins early, so we hung out in the lobby reading all the history, etc. Then Skip took us to the best view overlooking the vineyard for our tasting; see pictures! We sampled almost ALL the reds! All of which were good. See pictures. I like the fact that we did side by side tastings of many of his wines. My favorites were the 2022 Primitivo and 2021 Malbec, which we bought a few bottles of. Ambiance - Secluded private winery. Close to main Downtown Napa, but far enough away for privacy and a feeling of being far away. Appointment only, so very private and customer focused. Typically no more than 3 parties at a time. Today was considered a very busy day as there were 4 parties including us, lol. Gated private estate. 200 acres. Plenty of parking, especially since hosting only 3 guests at a time. Events - See their website. Well behaved dogs are allowed outdoors. Service - Skip is a history buff and we both talked for hours... After leaving, well really the next day (LOL), I realized that our tasting was supposed to be only 60 minutes. I guess because we got along so well, we stayed until closing! And he gave me a glass with a generous splash and let us walk the property alone after they left! So welcoming and trusting. Price - Depends on which tasting and what you buy; see their website for prices. Tastings range from $50 to $100 per person. One free designated driver allowed. Tasting fees waived with wine equivalent purchases. Hike tours $75 per person ($60 for club members). See their website for more information. Shortly after, her husband (and the winery's owner) Adam walks up with their daughter and asks us how we're doing. We continue to be starstruck. Service was wonderful. Seating was comfy. The views weren't the best (we were drinking on the sidewalk and there's a parklet too.) The 5 wines for $29 was not bad, but the size of the pours was lacking. The first pour was the smallest and then slowly they seemed to give us more (maybe they heard me!) Honestly, the pricier wines tasted better.
