Let me be transparent: it was late morning, I had just had breakfast, and I decided what my body truly needed was a cocktail. A breakfast cocktail. Judge me if you want, I've already judged myself and still ordered the drink, so your opinion is irrelevant. I Googled "good drinks near me" like a responsible adult, and BOOM, this place appeared like a gift from the cocktail gods. Two minutes away? On foot? I practically floated there. I told myself I'd stroll and enjoy the scenery. I did. I was very sophisticated about it. When I arrived, I found out there's a whole bar hiding inside Oxbow Market. A bar. Inside a market. Genius. I walked in and immediately forgot why I was confused because it was full-on foodie heaven, and the bar reached out with invisible hands and pulled me straight to it. I had no choice. It was gravity. That's when I met Lauren. Lauren was behind the bar, doing her thing, radiating good energy, and I said to myself, "I must sit here and be her problem for the next hour." She was so warm and welcoming that I felt personally invited. I, a stranger. She smiled the whole time, which either means she genuinely loved the conversation or she is an incredible professional. Either way, 10/10. Now, I am notoriously indecisive. I could spend 45 minutes choosing between two identical options. Lauren, a saint, walked me through the entire menu without a single eye roll (that I could see). I finally landed on the boozy strawberry slushy with a prosecco float. Could I have done without the bubbles? Probably. Did I finish every last drop anyway? Absolutely. We talked and laughed like two old friends who had just met, which is my favorite kind of friendship. Lauren also helped me figure out where to eat lunch and dinner once I told her I only eat seafood , and she delivered. The woman is a resource. If you're in Napa, come here. It's adorable. The staff will make you feel like a regular on your first visit, and yes, the prices are Napa prices, meaning everything costs what it costs because Napa has decided it is fancy, and we have all agreed to go along with it. My wife wanted to try caviar, so we actually gave it a spin here for our 1st time. I'd always been nervous about what the taste of caviar would be like. Glad I got to try it out at least once. It basically was a bit crunchy & a bit salty, other than that nothing of note for me at least. I get the price to an extent as it's not day to obtain, but man, it's expensive for what you get, not just here but any place you buy it. Probably a one time thing for me. The other item we got was one of their paninis & salads to share, and some waters. They've basically got a bar top, and most people seem to order their frozen machine drinks. I believe you can pair the frozen flavor with the wine, champagne, etc with it. Nice little spot inside Oxbow to get a quick bite and drink when in town. read more

I was visiting Napa for the first time with my adult daughters and having traveled across country, driven up to Napa, and then had a late lunch at In-N-Out Burger (!), we wanted something light for dinner on our first night. We found Bar Lucia on Yelp and looked like what we wanted, and happily it was! It is a small place in an almost food court setting in the Oxbow Market in Napa. The Oxbow Market is a multi-tenant space with several eateries. We went up to the counter and ordered glasses of wine for each of us and three plates to share: the house made dip with crudite and toasted bread; the marinated olives; and the Pear and blue cheese salad. We sat down and they brought out the plates when ready. Everything was tasty and fresh. I'm no wine expert, but the glasses of wine we had were good as well. My husband, sister & I came here last Tue around 6pm to to have a cold drink at their bar which is located inside the Oxbow Mkt. Jacob took our orders. Tangy and easily throwing frost into the forehead, slow sipping required, of course I soon realized the superior option, sampling the gin and tonic, more my taste. In busy Oxbow Public Market, there are multiple choices for places to stop for a snack and a glass. I decided to try Bar Lucia, and it was just right for a short break from walking around. I settled on a Schramsberg Blanc de Blanc and a Spinach Artichoke Dip appetizer. A spot at the side of the bar makes it easy to walk up and order instead of having to work to position yourself at the bar between sitting people. They brought my dip out to me in maybe 10 minutes. (My drink was instant.) The dip was warm and tasty (and a bit "chic" small in size in a small square ramekin), and an assortment of fresh welcome vegetable spears adorned the plate also, to snack on. The Model Bakery crostini was just right for the dip. Yes, it's kind of a noisy environment and there are people from all over the world around, but it's a nice spot to take a break. Love the wonderful bubbly options as well as the Froze'. This is a wonderful and fun addition to the market place. I visited as SIP restrictions were lifted and have to say I felt safe and really enjoyed a taste of what we used to call normalcy. It was such a treat to have a drink out on the patio. The staff were wonderfully attentive and made sure all precautions were taken. I especially loved the delightful froze' as it was the perfect treat on a hot summer day. My sister and I stopped here to the start of a girls trip. The person working was extremely unfriendly, didn't greet us and told us, "our cook isn't coming until 1130." When I asked if we could still order drinks, she said yes. She wasn't friendly at all, didn't engage in any conversation and overcharged me for an additional drink that I did not order. When I asked for a receipt, she then noticed the over charge and just said, "oh, was this too expensive? I don't know how that charge got on there." She fixed it but didn't give me a chance to modify the tip charge which included an 18% lowest default tip charge for the wrong amount she initially charged me. I will not be coming back here. Located in the trendy Oxbow Market, Bar Lucia is cute and cozy inside with a wide open patio outside. The owner (I think) was super nice. The frosé was running a little behind.
