My husband and I decided to visit Chateau Buena Vista because there aren't many wineries that allow kids under 21, and we had our toddler with us. The location is convenient, right in downtown Napa, and we made reservations in advance through their website for their $55 sparkling wine tasting. The tasting included a Blanc de Blanc, Brut, and Rosé, but unfortunately, none of them stood out for us--they all seemed to lack flavor. On the bright side, we also tried three of their fancy chocolates, and those were absolutely delicious! The decor is very pink and over-the-top, with a pink Christmas tree and other vibrant touches. It's definitely a cute spot for a girls' trip. While we enjoyed the chocolates, we wouldn't come back here, especially since we noticed similar chocolates at the V Market in Yountville. It's a pretty spot with fun vibes for some, but not a place we'd revisit.

Mary is awful! Our experience was unfortunately overshadowed by extremely poor service from Mary. We arrived on time for our 11:30 AM reservation, only to be told--rather forcefully--that it was actually at 11:00 AM. After checking my confirmation email, I confirmed that we were, in fact, correct. Mary's attitude throughout was unwelcoming and condescending, making our group feel uncomfortable from the start. It wasn't until I pointed out how rude she was being that she stepped away and another server took over--who, in contrast, was incredibly kind and accommodating. Mary's behavior left a negative impression on what should have been an enjoyable outing. If hosting guests is such a burden for her, perhaps this isn't the right role. For anyone looking to have a pleasant experience, I'd strongly recommend requesting a different host. 3 stars only for the rest of our team.. Mary take a break! We are here to have a good time not be miserable

The winery is in downtown Napa and when you walk in, it is giving plush vibes! Mike was our tasting server and he was absolutely phenomenal. We sampled the taste of château flight which included Cabernets and a Chardonnay. To go along with the wine we had the pineapple caramel chocolate and the PBJ chocolate, which paired very well with the wines. They were certainly a highlight. We loved the vibe of the winery and would definitely go back. It was the perfect space for a girls outing, but there was also someone at the bar who was sitting there with a glass of wine, reading a book.Great times!

There are few things that I enjoy more than a paired wine tasting experience, and Château Buena Vista specializes in this! They have a variety of tasting flights from sparkling to caviar to cab and chocolate. I brought a friend here for her bday because the ambiance is perfect for a girls' day. Our server Emily went above and beyond explaining the wines to us, and while they don't offer a sparkling wine + chocolate pairing she very thoughtfully picked out some chocolates for us that she thought would pair well with our sparkling wines. It was exactly what we were looking for! I would highly recommend coming here for any of their tastings or even for a special event. The decor is upscale, girly and eclectic. While we were at our tasting we overheard the store manager scolding some of the staff which I found a little unprofessional to do at all, and especially in front of clients. Other than that we had a great experience!

Since we typically try to do more than one tasting per trip, we figured why not try Chateau Buena Vista?! I'm a member of Buena, so I get 4 complimentary tastings per visit. We did have a party of 6, but only 4 were drinking, so the tastings were free. I'm more of a full bodied bold red person, so other than the last pour, I was hoping there would be more reds. They did let us taste the Oakville Cab as well when we went downstairs. We actually ended up getting the Coombsville without tasting it. I believe my friend was looking to taste it but there was a miscommunication and we ended up just buying instead. Glad everyone liked it tho as we corked it at lunch. We sat upstairs and the decor is awesome. Kinda old world bougie with the velvet seating. We were the only ones there so I felt bad that our server kept having to go back and forth. She was the one who suggested we go down to the bar area to sample more wines. I do wish they let you make reservations online for parties of more than 2. I had to email customer service to book. And my group typically changes headcount ALL the time, so I'm that annoying person who reaches out with updates constantly. I'd feel better if I could just change it versus having to email customer service every time. They were more than pleasant and accommodating. The taste of Buena offerings are okay for the price, but as a member, it was a fun stop.

Phenomenal experience! Came here for my birthday with my wife and we had really great time. What's not to love? Chocolate, champagne, caviar, and wine. Mary was our host and she was truly amazing. Honestly, the whole staff was great and everybody checked up on us. I would come back in a heartbeat.

Glad that I made reservations! Seatings may be limited due to the space of both down/up stairs. Friendly professional staff and service here is quick. Love the decor - the stairs are a great photo op. Would defintely come back.

So cute and aesthetic! This one is for the girls and the gays! I loved it here so much, it was adorable and the wine tasting wasn't a bad price at $35 pp. I really enjoyed the wines we tasted and my bestie bought a bottle. The little chocolates were fantastic--the habanero caramel chocolate was the winner for me and the chocolate caramel marshmallow thing was another winner fa me. I would definitely go back with a group of friends!

We stepped in to this extremely eclectic chateau for the chocolates, however... we were persuaded to enjoy a unique and wonderful French rose champagne. It was so refreshing to have a French champagne here in Napa. We have been drinking so much Napa wine and sparkling wine. This place was so fun and different then anything we have visited while here in Napa... Located I. The downtown area. Our tasting expert, Emily was so incredibly gracious with us... We bought the bottle and enjoyed every last drop.... We highly recommend you pop in, the chocolates are so gorgeous and delicious. They sell great wines and champagne and ship everywhere... We loved loved loved it...

I ordered Idas Pinot Noir by the glass and the bottle for $55 but was charged for a $125 bottle of Pinot Noir.

Two friends and I visited Napa Valley for a girls' weekend and were drawn to Château Buena Vista by its beautiful pink interior and the chocolate and wine pairings. Unfortunately, the experience turned sour. While the chocolates were delicious and the ambiance stunning, the service left much to be desired. We arrived close to closing and were told tastings were unavailable, but we could enjoy wine by the glass. I decided to purchase a bottle of Ida's Pinot Noir for $55--the same wine I had been enjoying. At checkout, the server asked for my email for an e-receipt, then subtly selected a 25% gratuity option on the card reader without asking. Shocked, I adjusted it to 18% but didn't notice the final total due to the lack of a paper receipt. Later that evening, I checked my email and discovered I had been charged $125 for a completely different Pinot Noir that wasn't even on the menu. We were leaving the next morning, so I couldn't dispute the charge in person. I called the Château and was promised a callback, but it's been over a week with no response. While the venue is gorgeous and the chocolates are outstanding, this experience was completely ruined by the deceitful behavior of one staff member. Be very cautious of what you're being charged if you visit. I cannot recommend this place based on my experience.

One of my favorite spots! Love this place they have great tasting sparkling rosé and sparkling brut. The vibe is really chill and it's a cool atmosphere! The host are really personable so the service is good!!

Mike and Mary were just amazing . I did a champagne flight with a glass of Champagne after ... while doing the tasting Mary was able to tell a little bit about the history of Buena Vista and the alligator . Love hearing about a little history

My girls and I had the best Sunday Funday! 1. The customer service was 10/10. Our server and everyone we came in contact with was super welcoming and so nice! 2. We decided against flights and tasting because for the price it was more reasonable to order two different bottles of Rosè. Great idea! 3. My only con would be that they do not serve charcuterie or any other snacks, so def eat before you go. I did however grab some macadamia brittle which was delicious and my girls enjoyed some chocolate Over all a great time and I cannot wait to go back.

Each wine was distinctive, balanced, and delicious in its own way. You could really tell the care and craftsmanship behind every pour. What really stood out was the hospitality. Our host was not only incredibly thoughtful but impressively knowledgeable. She explained where each wine's grapes were grown, described the flavor profiles we could expect, and added insights into how the terroir influenced the wine -- all without it ever feeling too technical or over our heads. Even better, our designated driver was offered iced tea, lemonade, or an Arnold Palmer, which I really appreciated. It's always a plus when tasting rooms consider the full group's experience, not just the drinkers. The vibe was so warm and relaxing, we ended up staying for over two hours. It felt less like a stop and more like a true experience. Definitely one of the highlights of our time in downtown Napa.
