Everything about this place is 10/10. We came for a friend's birthday and did the 4 course pairing experience. Luckily we were the only group booked so it was extra special and private! We were able to explore the garden and talk 1:1 with the chef and pastry chef. The somm was super knowledgeable and I actually felt like I was wine tasting vs drinking wine.

Infused olive oil tasting and menu

I went here on a Saturday to enjoy their olive oil tasting with my partner. First of all, the place is beautiful when you drive in, and the interior is very elegantly decorated and well maintained. We tasted five infused olive oils with sourdough bread, sipped italian and spanish olive oil, and tasted a food pairing plate. The food pairing plate was magnificient and really highlighted how amazing their chefs are there. However, the infused olive oils got their flavor from extracts (garlic, rosemary, basil, chili) or peels (blood orange), and I felt as though the overall flavor cheapened and overpowered the subtle and desired olive oil flavor. The spanish and italian olive oils were okay. I was honestly disappointed in the service. I have been olive oil tasting before and was hoping that our waitress taught us the actual technique to taste olive oil, but her explanation really fell flat and wasnt authentic. She also glazed over the types of olives whose oil we were tasting and had no mention when during their ripening they were harvested. Instead, our waitress spent an incredibly lengthy and too detailed amount of time discussing the history of the family who owned the estate. She also came to check on us so much and chatted that I felt rushed and too distracted to really enjoy what I was tasting. That is to say, I would come back for the food and scenery.

We enjoyed the Artisan Tasting Experience This is one of our favorite places to enjoy delicious estate wines while overlooking panoramic views of the vineyards and mountains. Even the drive into their property is beautiful and serene. The also have olive oil tasting cross the road. That's another fun and tasty experience.

Cute Christmas decorations in the main room.

Debra was warm and helpful for my first time wine tasting experience. We did the Cab sauv and the Tuscany was my favorite. Next time I'm here I want to try the 4 course dinner with wine tasting ! It looked amazing!

Round Pond is probably the prettiest winery I went to on my recent trip to Napa! Good: - We had a big group so we got an "event space" which was in the middle of the garden - Very good service- our server would check in on us a lot and we even got a cute brochure explaining the property and the history - Nice views and so pretty - lots of photo ops here for our group - The person who didn't drink in our group got a nice charcuterie board Bad: - Only 3 wine tastings for the whole tasting - it's one of the most expensive tastings too so it felt more like we were paying for the views than the wine Overall I still was a huge fan and would come back sometime!

Round Pond has a beautiful patio off the second floor that provides the perfect environment for wine tasting. While my tasting was outside, Round Pond is not dog friendly. However, the patio does have heat lamps to keep you warm on a chilly day. During my recent visit there was a large group that was loud and somewhat drunk. The vibe on the patio was completely different once they left. My host was really kind and he even sat with me during the tasting. He spent time explaining each wine. I did the Artisan Tasting ($95) so I would have something to snack on while tasting wine. There are other tasting options that are more or less expensive depending on what experience you're looking to have. My favorite wines included the Sauvignon Blanc, Proprietary White, and the Proprietary Malbec.

We visited Napa back in September and I am finally getting around to leaving reviews. Unfortunately, this was our least favorite winery tasting. We did the Taste of the Estate tasting out on the patio (so beautiful). Our host was Stephanie and she started out great with our first couple of wines and sugar cube/oil tasting. Then she brought out our charcuterie board (this is honestly why I am giving this review 3 stars instead of 2) and another pour of our tasting. I was swirling my wine around to open it up and kept hearing a weird clinking noise. I ignored it and had several sips, but kept hearing the same noise when I would bring the glass up to my mouth to drink. I held it up in the sun and found a very large shard of glass was inside my pour of wine (which looking back at photos you can actually see in my charcuterie board photo). Around this time was also when she started to come back to our table less and less. She was hosting us and one or two other tables outside and appeared to be hosting tables inside since she would be gone for so long. When she finally came back I showed her the shard of glass and she was apologetic and said it was "weird because the glasses are stored upside down." I'm not sure if that was supposed to make me feel better? It made it even worse that such a large piece of glass was loose in my wine glass because my actual glass was perfectly fine. She ended up coming back and asking if we "wanted to continue the tasting" (not really sure what they meant) and then brought me a new glass/pour after we said yes. She then brought out one extra pour of a red wine she thought I would like because of the glass incident. Before we left she also brought me a small chili oil for free since I had liked it during the oil tasting portion. However, later in the day (when we got back to the Airbnb) I looked in the bag and it had leaked all over the inside as if it was also broken. It almost felt like I was being pranked lol We really did like the wines we tasted and would come back just for the charcuterie board, so I would try to visit again and hope it would be a better experience.

AMAZING Service, charcuterie board and host! This was our first tasting in Napa Valley. Well they set the bar so high not even a castle had a chance with us haha. Guy that checked us in I already ready reviews about how cool he was and yep he was AND he noticed by husbands Paul Evans shoes from Italy! He loved them. Okay so I'm the the host it was Evan! Evan took his time explaining all about the delicious wines. No pressure to buy but just you can tell he loves what he does and we'll Round Pond is very lucky to have him. The service was impeccable! The charcuterie board came with AMAZING tasty food I was really pleased and well so were our taste buds. Even the older gentleman at the other tables walked by and told us we deserved our day and was just so kind. The ambiance was so perfect, what a perfect day! You must come but beware that this 5 star tasting will set the bar SO high. We can't freakin wait to come back!! Thank you so much Evan!

Beautiful estate with delicious wine to boot. We enjoyed our tasting on the outdoor patio with the gigantic fireplace and a view of the vineyard. The charcuterie board was to die for! I especially loved the guava jam made from guava on the property! Our host, Roxanna, was a rockstar. I've never learned so much about wine and how to sniff and sip it from vario parts of the glass for a completely different experience with the same wine!

Our table for the couple of hours of tasting! Scenery just breath taking!

Great experience at the Round Pond Winery & I highly recommend this place!! From the check in to the seating, it was wonderful. The feeling of being welcomed and I just loved the warm hospitality. Our server was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the grapes grown on the property up to how and when they are picked and made into wine. The view was so breath-taking!! We sat upstairs near the fireplace -so picturesque !!! The board they brought really complimented each wine that was poured. A great experience and we highly recommend this place.

This was a winery I was looking forward to upon booking my girls trip and doing the research ahead of time... It surpassed my expectation. The drive to the place is picturesque with a palm tree lined drive, surrounded by the vineyard on both sides, leading straight to the tasting building. We were led upstairs for our tasting and then led outside to a wonderful outdoor deck space where a place was set up awaiting our arrival. Our tasting menu was personalized with the name of our party which was a nice, appreciated touch. Juan was our server and he was the best... taking plenty of time to explain everything, converse with us, and even took a few pictures for us. The wines were wonderful... I think all 4 of us bought a bottle to take home. I even bought a hat that was super nice and perfect for a souvenir from our trip (cork design showing the state of CA and said "State of wine"). The landscape at this winery is beautiful and we weren't even there at the most bloomed/growing time... meaning the vines barely had anything on them (April). We did the artisan tasting that came with our charcuterie. It was just want we needed as it was our 3rd winery of the day and we were needing the snacks. This place is a MUST-DO on your list when planning your trip.

Melon bombe with custard and cake exposed

We finally had the chance to return for lunch and wine on our wedding anniversary. Surprisingly, we were the only people having lunch (Il Pranzo) that day. Others opted for standard wine tasting, or wine tasting with amuse bouche. After Cruz, the host, poured us each a glass of white wine, he gave us a brief tour of the winery and the garden. The tasting facility and garden were very nice. The host seated us at a table for 2, instead of a large communal table, on the terrace. Menu included: 1) Butter poached halibut paired with reserve Sauvignon Blanc. 2) Roasted pork collar paired with super Tuscan 3) Filet mignon paired with 2 different reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 4) Melon bombe dessert paired with Rosato We were the first guests to be served this new menu. I would have loved to try the ravioli and scallops dishes from the previous menu as well. Chef Fernando Arias presented and described each dish. The wine complimented the food very well. Portions were decent sized. Typically a steak person, I found the filet mignon to be very good, but the reduction was a tad salty. The halibut and pork dishes were excellent!!! Not a big fan of desserts, the melon bombe was decent and not overly sweet so I ate most of it. My spouse and I enjoyed the experience. It was on par with Michelin starred restaurants.

I am a white wine connoisseur because of my dietary restrictions with most ingredients in red wines, especially cherries and plum, that trigger my stomach pain and headaches. I have missed enjoying red wine because of this. I was hoping and praying that when my friends who are members of PEJU planned this wine tasting treat, that my stomach and head would be fine and to my surprise, my palate, tongue, stomach and heart were pleased with the Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Fifty/Fifty, and more, including reserve reds Todd served and educated us about! I have NEVER enjoyed red wines like these I tasted at PEJU. Since the time of our outstanding wine tasting experience, I have recommended and raved about Todd and PEJU winery to friends and family who appreciate and value high quality wines and winery experiences. It felt like a vacation getaway being in the tasting room building, admiring the breathtaking stained glass art, all of the art inside and the beautiful art and nature views outside. I appreciate the PEJU staff and management team who welcomed us and were kind to us all the way to the end of our wine tasting experience when we left. Todd clearly enjoys his important professional position, is passionate about wine and the wine experience, and brings so much joy to customers! I can't recommend him and PEJU enough! Todd went above and beyond to give us a VIP experience and even gave me a bag full of wine corks for my art project after I told him about this and asked for some of their wine corks we saw lined up in their wine uncorking and pouring area. I tried quite a few different wines, and really liked how there are a few unique offerings here that you can't find elsewhere - I ended up getting a bottle of their Province, the Farm, and their late harvest orange muscat. PEJU is also one of the few wineries with a permit to serve food. If I had known ahead of time, I would've planned to eat here! The rilettes were super tempting, but Joseph advised that if I was planning to eat a meal afterward to stick to the chips and dip - this ended up being quite a generous portion as well, and I really enjoyed the goat cheese truffle dip alongside the wine tasting :) Overall, PEJU is definitely a beautiful winery to visit with excellent service, and I'll definitely be back!

Their food and service is excellent because my husband enjoys poker, but I thought a change of scenery would be nice. And it was! Firstly, it was very kind of the staff to present us with a greeting card signed by everyone -- how sweet and thoughtful! We will cherish that! From the beginning, there seemed to be constant miscommunication between staff. We specifically booked an outdoor reservation and were seated inside instead. While mistakes happen, it set the tone for the rest of the evening. The bigger issue involved the wine and corkage fee. We purchased a bottle directly from the market associated with the restaurant and were told by the employee there that the corkage fee would be waived if we bought their wine. When we sat down, our server Sara told us that was not true and that we would still have to pay the fee. I explained what we had been told, and when she asked if I wanted a manager involved, I said yes. Before the manager even arrived or clarified the situation, the server opened our bottle of wine. In the silence and confusion, I reasonably assumed the fee issue had been resolved. Then the manager came over and told us we would still be charged and implied that nobody at the market would have told us otherwise. The way it was handled made my husband and I feel like we were being accused of making the whole thing up, which was especially upsetting on Mother's Day. At that point, the bottle was already opened, so we were essentially stuck paying the fee regardless. Between being seated incorrectly, the poor communication between employees, and how dismissive the situation felt, the service completely overshadowed what should have been a special meal. The rest of the service we felt ignored and there was minimal effort to accommodate. Great food alone is not enough to justify returning when the hospitality experience feels this frustrating and unprofessional.
