She hosted an impromptu industry tasting that ended up being one of the highlights of the trip. Thoughtful, engaging, and clearly passionate about the wines and the Regusci story, she made the entire experience feel both personal and elevated. The tour itself was excellent. The grounds are beautiful and have that authentic Napa character that feels both historic and relaxed at the same time. It is the kind of place you want to linger. This was our second visit to Regusci Winery and he had another great time tasting their fantastic wines. The venue reminds you of the old world. Spectacular with charm. The grounds are well manicured, history all around. Cabernet dominates the tasting menu but there is a wine for every palate. We tasted through at least 6 wines and enjoyed each one. Our favorite was the Block 3 and of course I made sure some came home us. Regusci is a well known winery in Napa. A definite choice for a great wine tasting experience. read more

Reddit lead me here and it did not disappoint. Regusci Winery is the perfect combination of great wines and a beautiful setting. It's family owned with a rich history. It was cold and rainy that day but they had plenty of heat lamps going so the cold didn't bother us. Our host Jacob was fantastic and made us feel right at home. He was attentive while still allowing us to go at our own pace. He saw us walking towards the cellar and offered a tour, telling us about the Regusci family and the history of the ranch. Regusci was recommended to us by Castle Rock winery as being the winery where you can buy a bottle, sit outside and enjoy. Well, we learned our lesson! The lady was reluctant to sell us wine and was not friendly at all.... Without full disclosure, Kept our credit card so we would return the BOTTLES and WINE GLASSES! Why would you be required to drink the entire bottle when you're driving?!? She kept pushing the wine tasting on us-must make more money that way? We were only allowed to sit in the garden if we bought a bottle a bottle. So many rules!! This was not an enjoyable experience and would not recommend this winery. Will never be back! read more

Wow, what can I say. When I am in Napa, I always make it to Regusci Winery. The seating is comfortable with beautiful quintessential views of Napa and the Stags Leap District. They always will have a few wines that I will stock up on and this visit, did not disappoint! When we arrived, we were immediately welcomed with a glass of Rose and seated for our tasting. Jake was informative, knowledgable, and friendly. My three favorite wines , this visit, were the Zinfandel, Patriarch, and 1932. The Zin is one you can open immediately, and is wonderful to be able to walk away with for instant gratification! The Patriarch was a beautiful blend with cabernet sauvignon, merlot, and cab franc....what a treat! The 1932, also just a wonderful tasting wine. Everyone working in the tasting room is eager to help with any questions you may have. Again, by far my favorite winery while visiting in Napa! read more

We visited here in the middle of the week and while the grounds were absolutely beautiful the service was not so great. We had a driver who had blocked a certain amount of time and we were finished at this one very early. I would say definitely do your research when visiting wineries to see what they have to offer. We had planned on having something to eat here, but unfortunately there is no food, minus the veggie stand that was leave a donation and take what you want. We went through the actual tasting pretty quickly and then asked if we could purchase a bottle to open and enjoy. We were told no that they didn't have a permit for that. We then asked if we could purchase a glass and were told no again. My advice sip your tasting very slowly and eat before you get there! read more

The guy said that our hostess is unavailable but she will get to us, which she did , eventually. We were celebrating a bday which she knew. She poured 2 more tasting and disappeared. My husband, 5 year old son (yes, that's right), and I LOVED LOVED LOVED Regusci Winery. A few weeks back, I posted on a Facebook mommy-ish/local San Francisco East Bay board about whether anyone had kid-friendly winery recommendations. Regusci was mentioned by a few, so I booked a Library Tasting with them and I have no regrets. First, for weekends they are by-appointment only, which seems to keep the crowd levels low so they can pay attention to those that are wine club members or to who those made reservations. They produce big-bold reds, so their wine is exactly what my husband and I love. Because of that, I booked their $50 Library tasting, which is offered (I think) twice a day on weekends. If you purchase $100, each $50 tasting fee gets waived. John was our host, and he was fantastic. He helped set up my son with a little table next to the big table we were tasting at in the barn/cellar. My son played some games and snacked on some of their yummy house-made crackers while we did our tasting. John was informative and told us a lot about the wine, the cellar, the ghost winery history, and at the end he made sure to tell us to take our son to look at the farm and the trellis with the huge gourds. We took some time to enjoy the garden, and we ended up buying quiet a few produce items from their honor-system farm table. I'll definitely mention Regusci to other wine-loving families, and I know my son will be talking about the butterflies and plants that he saw here this past weekend. read more

Beautiful property but really didn't care much for there wine Came here around 4:00 pm on a Tuesday, the place wasn't packed at all. As you walk up to the tasting room you can see how beautiful the property is. We did the $50 tasting of 5 reds, out of all the red we tasted I did not care for any of them and they where pretty skimpy on the pours. I can get this same kind of tasting in Livermore for a lot cheaper and the wine is about the same. Everyone likes different wines but for Napa Cabernet it should be a lot better then what they got here. To me this place is more for the Scenery not for the wire. Next time I'm on the Silverado trail looking to do a tasting I can just drive past this place. read more

One of the most beautiful properties and the first we visited where their dog was roaming and visiting! Upon walking up, there's a fresh farm stand with fruits and veggies. A large, spacious deck with plenty of umbrellas and seating overlooks the vineyard. The atmosphere is relaxing and easy going. We once again visited with friends who had not only been there but have a wine membership with them. We, as well as the third couple, also joined up. The wines were delicious and made with such care. I am very excited for the shipments to start - absolutely no buyers remorse here. Allison hosted us and was great with our group. She gave us plenty to sample and revisit and had a quick wit about her. We made a reservation at Regusci, even though reservations are not required Monday through Thursday. We had a nice, scenic view from a shaded spot on the patio. Our host was wonderful, telling us the history of the winery as well as a bit about each wine we tried. We were given a basket of crackers that are made in-house which was much appreciated as we didn't have time for lunch that day. The property is beautiful with gorgeous flowers, historic buildings, a vegetable garden and of course vineyards. They do encourage people to walk round and check things out a bit. We even had a visit from one of the winery dogs that wanted to share our tasting. We enjoyed all the wines here and bought the 1932, the Matrona, Chardonnay, Merlot and Rose. I'd definitely stop in again if I were in the area. read more

We're members here and we absolutely love it! The wine is a little on the pricey side, but you're paying for top quality product, so to me, it's worth every penny. We visit a few times a year, and often bring friends-- we've never been disappointed! It's a peaceful, calm and clean environment. The property is beautiful and well maintained (the garden and the doggies are lovely too!) We've often been hosted by Rita, and she's absolutely lovely! She takes great care of guests, and is always friendly yet professional. Visited Regusci as part of my friend's bachelorette and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience there! We had the family selection tasting for $50 per person with 4 pours, and they waive the tasting fee if you spend $80 (3 out of the 4 wines we had were over that amount per bottle, so you pretty much just get a bottle of wine and your tasting fee is waived). The wine and service were both great, and they create a very calm and pleasant environment in which to sip our wine. Our party of 5 sat at a spacious outdoor table where we could chat and just relax, and also enjoy an occasional visit from the friendly resident dogs rebel and rascal. Why didn't we explore this winery sooner?! The views at this winery are spectacular and the people there awesome! Finally we met a winery that was truly down to earth and made us feel welcome with no rush even though we came at closing. Regusci Winery is home to the meanest dog I have ever met. Her name is Trixie, and she is a forty-pound corgi, a fat loaf of dog on tiny corgi feet. She is very, very cute, but she is a huge bitch. She spent her time observing everyone with acute interest, then lying on her back frozen in belly rub position for fifteen minutes. When people approached to pet her, she growled and snapped. We brought our basset hound Duke who just wants to be friends with everyone, and she hated him. She barked at him, and when we left, she followed like a security guard to make sure he left her property. When he took care of business, she stared at him while she squeezed out a dominance dump right after. Do not be fooled by all these adorable pictures. That corgi is one coldhearted cur. This is not to say that I didn't find her entirely amusing. She probably added a good amount of enjoyment to our trip. I also liked the fat fluffy golden lab mix, but she was mostly wandering the property while we were there. We definitely appreciated Regusci's dog-friendliness - we called ahead to make sure we could bring Duke along, and they were more than welcoming. We were also able to come in without a reservation. The tasting room was lovely, spacious and welcoming, with pleasant views of the property. Regusci is on the Silverado Trail, and everything about it is very pretty. Service was excellent. The woman who poured our wine was attentive and knowledgeable, and we had a great time tasting. The tastings were $25 each, with one fee waived per purchase of $100 or more. Matt B. and I did one each, and we were very happy with what we got. We tried five wines, three "Family Selection" and two "Heritage Selection," which were the expensive ones, relatively speaking. (We don't tend to buy wines over $20 in store, so all of Regusci's wines were expensive for us. Also, I guess, keep this in mind when evaluating my review - I am not an expert.) All the wines were listed with detailed tasting notes, which we used as our guide while tasting and buying. The first of the bunch was the 2010 Chardonnay, and it was one of the best Chardonnays I've ever had, cool and balanced and not too sweet. The rest were all reds. The 2009 Estate Merlot and 2009 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon came next. They were both pleasant, but not standouts, I guess. My favorite of the tasting was the 2009 Patriarch Proprietary Blend, made with cabernet sauvignon, merlot, and cabernet franc. It was a gorgeous wine, complex with a lovely, rich tone. I preferred it to the finale, the 2009 Angelo's Hillside Cabernet Sauvignon. This was a good wine, but even I could tell that it didn't open up in the same way. The Angelo costs $125 a bottle, and it may be one of those wines you buy and store to drink a couple years later, when it's good and ready. We left with a bottle each of the Chardonnay and the Patriarch, $36 and $85. We didn't go in intending to spend that much money, but we had an anniversary coming up and decided, eh, we'll at least get one complimentary tasting. Two weeks later, the Patriarch accompanied us to our anniversary dinner, where we enjoyed it fully with our nice fancy food. Even for two wine amateurs, it felt well worth the cost. I look forward to drinking the Chardonnay, and I'll keep Regusci on my list for future trips to Napa. Until we meet again, Trixie. read more

Correction, Hummer Limo Wine Tour... that's how we roll! =P It was a scorching summer day in Napa and we were all ready to get our drink on! We were greeted the moment we arrived and immediately escorted to our table outside on the patio. After a few minutes the heat kicked in and I had to stand in a shady area. The view was too beautiful to abandon our table and go indoors. Our tasting included 1 White and 4 Reds for $35 per person (including tax and gratuity). We also indulged in some barrel tasting, complimentary of our vulgar Irish host. His obscene sense of humor fit right in with our group. I'm also not a person who spends a ton of money on olive oil but their lemon olive oil is out of this world and I bought a bottle and can't wait to incorporate that into several recipes !!!
