Domaine Chandon is hands down our favorite go-to spot in Napa Valley! The grounds are absolutely amazing and beautiful, and every visit feels special. We've been club members for 20 years, and the sparkling wines have always been some of our absolute favorites. The staff is incredibly hospitable, welcoming, and attentive, and the food is delicious. It's the perfect place to relax, enjoy great wine, and take in the beautiful surroundings. Chandon was aesthetics were very nice!! Arriving it gives you alot of greenery, and reminds of LA zoo with the landscaping. I'm giving it a 3 stars because we had to awhile to get seated and we had reservations ahead of time. Also, I feel that more food could be served at this winery. The tastings were paid ahead of time, which I didn't like as well since it added gratuity in advance. The wines were very good but I felt that its limited things to do here unless you have a membership with them. The winery was beautiful and very clean, but I felt that it caters more to the wine membership customers rather than regular ones. The seating was nice and serene with a nice view. I love the wine, and our visit was pleasant. Thr renovation looks gorgeous and the place looks far more polished than it was when I last visited 3 years ago. The price tag versus what you get is off - our wine host didnt bother to pour us anything when we sat down (it took around 15 mins to get a glass of wine) - once we did get wine, it was off to the races. The wine is great, but is clear that Chandon is more interested in their club membership than the experience. The second we finished our tasting experience, the entire thing shifted from "taste our wine" to "buy into our wine club". It was a sudden, very jarring change. I have had better experiences with pushy time share sellers than Chandon salespeople. At least with them, I get a gift card, park tickets or a hotel stay. I got. Nothing from Chandon. Chamdon will always be my favorite wine, but for a sparkling experience, I am going to find another winery to visit or go attend a timeshare presentation where at least I get something for sitting through the annoying sales presentation. read more

The service was impeccable as the servers were attentive and very accommodating. The food was good but the star of the show was the sparkling wine as expected. Could not buy a wine membership fast enough when I came here! The service was fantastic and the wines were so tasty. We were in the Members Only area outside, which was beautiful. We made a last-minute reservation and were able to get a same-day tasting without any trouble, which was great. The venue itself is beautiful and makes for a lovely setting. Unfortunately, the service didn't quite match the atmosphere. When we first arrived, the person pouring our tasting began explaining and serving the wines, but I realized he had the wrong flight and showed him my reservation. He apologized, took the glasses away, and said he would be back. It would have been nice if he had left the poured glass while we waited, as it ended up taking quite a while before someone returned to start our tasting. When he eventually came back, he mentioned that he was very busy and that's why the mistake happened. It seemed like they may have been a bit understaffed, as there were several moments during the visit where we had to wait quite a while for service. At the end of the tasting, we were ready to leave but waited again before anyone returned to check on us. We actually got up to go downstairs to purchase wine ourselves, at which point he mentioned he could place the order for us and noted they like to track sales through the person hosting the tasting. To his credit, he wasn't pushy at all about buying through him versus the shop. Overall, it was an okay experience. The venue is lovely, but the service and timing could definitely be improved. Wow, what a truly memorable experience. Everything was beautifully curated from the interior design to the dishes and drinks. It was not just aesthetically pleasing, everything tasted just as incredible. The space was stunning inside and out, and I always appreciate when businesses put real thought into creating a welcoming atmosphere for their guests. The food absolutely delivered. I completely underestimated the fried chicken and it was hands down the best I have ever had. It was incredibly light, perfectly cooked, and to my surprise, boneless. The fact that they filet chicken thighs made it even better and absolutely delicious. The panna cotta with passion fruit was also outstanding. Service was excellent. Friendly, relaxed, and effortlessly cool, truly embodying Napa's vibe. It felt less like service and more like chatting with a friend. This review is long overdue! Chandon is one of the few wineries that opens at 10 on weekdays, which makes it perfect for an early tasting. There's plenty of parking, and if you're a club member, you check in downstairs before being escorted upstairs to the private club tasting room. My favorite wine is the Earl Gray, it's exclusive to the winery and absolutely worth the visit. The service in the club area is always attentive, and you never have to wait long. The space is cozy, with sectional couches and small tables, plus a spacious outdoor patio area that's perfect for relaxing. I highly recommend stopping by for a tasting. First time here since the renovation. I'm not a fan of the newer modern vibe - there was something nostalgic about the previous sprawling lawn picnic area and Adirondack chairs that was so charming. That said, if it's your first time at Chandon you won't be disappointed. The sparkling wine is 10/10, the service is friendly and not rushed. The a la carte options presented beautifully and were delicious to boot. Opt for a tasting outside on the patio facing the lawn. You'll be rewarded with heaters when it's cold and shade when it's warm, but it's the scenery you won't forget. This is California wine country at its best. read more

It had been 10 years since I last visited Chandon, partly because I live in Sonoma county and prefer to taste in Sonoma county as past experiences in Napa have left me feeling underwhelmed for the price point. On this most recent experience, I was invited to attend with 2 friends who are both wine club members and I have to say, I was watching how others were hosted as we were all seated at tables with our parties fairly close to one another and I have to say, the experiences were similar in style, with a bit more TLC for the wine club member experience, but all in all, if I need another membership, this is one I'd consider as I love Sparkling wine and the service was not pretentious or rushed in any way. I felt very comfortable and the vibes were all positive. The selection of flights were great and a reasonable price point. If I had friends who were visiting and wanted a Napa County experience, this is one I would definitely recommend. Since it was our first visit, we opted for the standard tasting. We were really looking forward to our Sparkling Sunday Brunch at CHANDON, but unfortunately the way the staff handled what happened afterward completely changed our impression of the experience. After finishing brunch, my partner suddenly started feeling unwell and vomited outside. We don't know what caused it, but what really bothered us was the staff's response. When someone has just become visibly ill, especially at a winery serving alcohol, I would expect the first response from a hospitality team to be something like, "Are you okay?" "Do you need some water?" or "Do you need medical assistance?" Instead, their immediate reaction was to send someone over and tell us that we needed to leave the property. We completely understand that a winery has responsibilities regarding alcohol service and guest safety. If the staff believed my partner should no longer drink or remain on the property, we would have had no problem cooperating. But there is a significant difference between responsibly ending a guest's visit and treating a guest who has suddenly become sick as someone who simply needs to be removed. What was most disappointing was the apparent lack of basic concern for how she was actually feeling. No one's first reaction seemed to be to check whether she was okay, whether she needed water, somewhere to sit, or any kind of assistance. The priority seemed to be getting us off the property. For a place like CHANDON, which presents itself as a premium hospitality experience, that was extremely disappointing. We came here excited to enjoy the sparkling wine, brunch, and overall experience. The brunch itself was enjoyable, but unfortunately the way the staff responded when my partner became sick is what we will remember most. A simple "Is she okay?" before "you need to leave" would have made an enormous difference. read more

Overall, such a gorgeous space with an elevated feel, not just the sparkling wine, but the whole experience. A few things to keep in mind, if you're not a member, you'll be sitting outside. I went this past Sunday, and it was a bit colder than I prefer. They do have heaters, and I'm glad I brought a jacket, but I would have loved if they offered blankets too. It also seemed slightly under-staffed, two associates were handling well over 10 groups, which left gaps between tastings and just the cusp of waiting too long. Other than that, it was a really great experience. The wine was spectacular, and our associate was fantastic. One of my favorite parts about the tasting is the food options, they offer more than just charcuterie. We got the caviar onion dip and hummus with flat bread fresh out the oven both made to order and excellent. This was the worst wine tasting experience I've had. The staff seemed friendly and punctual at first, but they really weren't. We arrived about 20 minutes before our reservation and they told us they'd seat us closer to our reserved time, which was totally fine since we went early to check out the property anyway. Their garden is beautifully maintained and it's definitely worth a walk around. I had visited a few years ago and decided to try a tasting this time. We checked in again with the hostess five minutes before our reservation, but we weren't seated until ten minutes after our reservation time with no explanation for the delay. When we were seated, I asked the hostess if I could use the outlet next to our table to charge my phone, which was dead since our rental car didn't have a compatible charging port. She said she'd check if it was okay, as they sometimes avoid using it due to rain damage, but she never came back to let me know, which I found unprofessional. I wish the hostess had communicated better from the check-in. Long story short, this is a kid-friendly winery. When we were seated, there was a large group with about 5-6 kids on the patio who were pretty loud and chaotic. This winery isn't ideal for anyone seeking a quiet, relaxing tasting experience. After the large group left we were finally trying to have a good time and the som came to close our check when we still had about 20-30 minutes left in our reservation and said we were good to go, making us feel rushed. I've been to Chandon twice and very different experiences. Most recently we visited in November the weather was foggy, cold and the sun never came out. We were seated on the lower outside patio. They do have heaters, but it was still uncomfortably cold to be outside. We had the signature tasting and ordered à la carte food items. I like that this is available, to pair with the tasting. The server assigned to us never showed up, so another staff member helped us on top of his tables. I was not too happy since this was for a birthday and there were long gaps between pours and check-ins. I'm not faulting our server he was doing the best he could, but not up to standard and became frustrating. My other experience was over the summer during the week. This was also for a birthday and we were seated in the upper patio. The service was fantastic, our server spent a lot of time with us and even though he had just started he knew quite a bit about the winery and wines. The experience felt personable making it a really nice birthday. The sparkling wines are really good - crisp and refreshing. The garden spritz is fun (spiced liqueur & orange peel). I also really like their Blanc de Blanc by the Bay. I purchased a bottle. I wanted to buy the green tea spritz after getting a tasting of it, but was informed it's only available to members. I could join if I wanted to purchase. I can understand an exclusive high end member only offering, but this is a spritz. My opinion, they are losing out on sales. The grounds are beautiful- located on a rocky hillside. The inside members lounge looks really pretty and modern. The wines are from three vineyards across Northern California. Also to note there is a 18% service charge on bookings. I'm somewhat local, so Chandon is available to purchase at markets and grocery stores. More than likely I'll buy from there instead of the winery. If you haven't been it's worth checking out, especially if you're from out of the area. read more

We pre ordered a few items with our reservation, when we were seated a few tasting flights were provided to get us warmed up. Throughout each serving, there was a tasting and description given of the pour. The experience was fun and informative. The bites were just right and not heavy at all setting the perfect mood and leaving room to enjoy the different bubbles available to try. We were given a few different trial tastings they are working on in their lab, we each have differing opinions, but very fun to have been given the opportunity. This was my favorite tasting on this trip to Napa! The tasting was great and I enjoyed all of the sparkling wines we tried. We had a reservation and had no issues getting in. I made the reservation for 2 and then noted that we had a DD with us and we had no issues, they had a table set for three on a beautiful patio when we arrived. They also had a choice of mocktails for our driver. We got a little snacky so we ordered a cheese plate. It was a little pricey and I wished they'd told us what was what, but we still enjoyed it. Our experience at Chandon has been two parts: an amazing tasting experience at their outdoor tasting pavilion overlooking the Napa Valley mountainside and an underwhelming club membership. When we initially visited during our Napa trip last year, our 12th winery stop occurred when a lot of Chandon's buildings on their Yountville grounds were going through construction and renovation, so we couldn't view anything indoors outside of the bathrooms. Chandon is a large operation if you drive to the parking lot and then walk up the various walkways to the pavilion area where you enjoy the tasting from one of the lounge seating areas. A lot of the setting, comprising a lot of futuresque-looking buildings, overlooking the mountaintop into the valley has a very sci-fi dystopian vibe, especially, with the required attire that the staff wear. You almost think you're in a setting out of Westworld. During our tasting, we enjoyed some unique bottles of sparkling wine. The highlight was enjoying some sparkling herbal tea wine infused with Earl Gray. It was like a blueberry scone. It is very magical to enjoy overlooking a beautiful mountainside. Aaron did a magnificent job curating our sparkling wines including the sparkling Cabernet Sauvignon, with Summer assisting. The wines we were served were those that you couldn't obtain through a wine and spirits or grocery store. That was part of our reasoning for obtaining the club membership, so we could have access and have periodic shipments. However, we have barely received emails on releases (being on the mailing list), and haven't had luck trying to obtain orders. A lot of the Chandons you can obtain locally outside of the club-only releases, and a lot of the time it's difficult to find the latter available. So that's been disappointing. But from the tasting experience, it was well done and the grounds are something else. But club membership wise leaves a lot to be desired. read more

1st time visiting Chandon, we have been to Domaine Carneros, Gloria Ferrar and Mumm in the past. We love Bubbly! :) As other Yelpers have written, parking near the entrance to visit/taste is confusing due to poor/nonexistent signage. There are many spots to park in the oval like parking area, but some are much further than others. As you take the main road in, it splits and you drive to the right of the fork. Soon after, you will see the footbridge that leads to the tasting room on the right. Park as close to the footbridge as you can. The area looked like a kids' play area with the tips of 2 canopy tents in view as you mistakenly drive past the footbridge circling around looking for the unmarked/confusing entrance. We didn't know that we had to make reservations just for tastings, so we checked in with the person at the front door. She mentioned a 10 - 15 min wait and that the tasting was 3 tasters for $45. Something that they don't tell you is that you need to ADD ON the mandatory 18% gratuity and $3.39 tax in your $45 tasting fee! So all of a sudden, it becomes $56.59 for 1 person! The shop has some cute items to look at while you are waiting. Nice lounge area to wait in as well. There weren't many people up on the outdoor patio tasting area, nor inside the tasting room, so it was very strange that we had to wait at all. The outdoor wicker like chairs are bulky, highly uncomfortable, very hard and offer NO back support. If they could even add back rest cushions or pillows, that would help a little. Horrible outdoor patio furniture, it is almost as if they don't want you to get comfortable so that they can rotate people out faster during a busy day? Terrible design, we couldn't relax or get comfortable in those awful chairs. The 3 taster pours were tiny, not even chilled enough and definitely were not impressive with any flavor notes to remark. It was as if all 3 bottles had been left opened/uncorked for WAY too long and sat in LUKE WARM buckets of melted ice/warm water baths. The Worst Nightmare for any true Bubbly Lover! The "complimentary" Earl Grey spritzer was a weird combination in our opinion, but unique and interesting to say the least. The citrus peel added zest which was nice, but we just wish that the Bubbly tasters would have been so much better than they were and that we could have commented anything positive on those instead. Huge Bummer! Our server and Chandon Staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds are nice, you need to walk up over the tiny hill to see the surrounding areas, several of which, you can reserve for private groups. It is peaceful, relaxing and quiet in these reserved/private areas. From the outdoor tasting experience, you can only choose between 2 different food menu items at additional cost. They don't offer anything with the 3 tiny tasters except for a glass of chilled water which was much colder than the practically warm bubbly tasters they served. Unfortunately, we can't recommend Chandon and we won't be returning. Désolée! read more

The property is nice, very serene outdoor space, indoors were modern and minimalistic. I do wish that i could have done an actual tasting in one of the tents but reservations were sold out for the day (a Saturday, so understandable). Walk-in wait was about 20 mins so I was able to walk around and see the wines and merchandise. I enjoyed a glass of Etoile brut on their patio which was delicious and my waiter was delightful. The Garden Spritz Earl Grey Tea in their shop caught my eye but apparently (according to a salesperson and my waiter) it was only available to their Wine Club Members. Im admittedly a bit bull-headed and I love earl grey tea so I saw if i could find it online. Voila, I was able to order it on their website, no membership needed.
