The best steak ever. We've had steaks from all over and this is hands down the best. Also, photo is not of the whole steak. We couldn't wait, and dived in before taking the photo.

We dined here on our recent trip to Napa after throughly researching and finding that this is the only high-end restaurant that has a vegan menu. The food is clearly labeled and the taste is AMAZING. All the veggies are locally grown (some right in front of the restaurant) and you can truly taste the difference. Not unexpectedly, service exceeded all our expectations and the atmosphere is very exquisite. We will definitely come back here. If you are looking for great vegan options in Napa, I would highly recommend this.

I gotta be so for-real this place is not as good as the student-run St Helena location. We were told this is the moneymaking restaurant for the CIA and I can see why. While the dishes were presented beautifully and the service was quick and so warm and friendly, the flavors were lacking a bit. Maybe I just don't have that refined taste that others have. Otherwise, the art was so fun to look at. I also loved the garden and knowing that they use the garden ingredients in their dishes.

We had a great dinner at The Grove. Our server Claudia was very friendly. The salad was huge and very fresh. The house made pasta was excellent but very small. My partner got the meatballs and said they were the best he ever had. Desserts were great. Overall we had a great time.

We went for brunch and it was a delightful culinary adventure. We ordered very basic breakfast items, and they were all beyond our expectations - the sourdough pancake was fluffy and super flavorful, the scrambled eggs were perfect, and the bacon was delicious by the chef. Some of the downsides were that the surface was terrible and we didn't have a server to greet us for about 10 minutes after we sat down. There was no regular sugar when we ordered coffee nor a tea spoon provided and we had to follow up with a server. We also overheard drama with other reservations and saw some burnt omelettes being sent out by another chef. We are pleased that we had a great experience and this is something we would save her. However, the quality is not guaranteed based on stuff that we heard n

We came here with our local friends and our excellent server Claudia happened to be their next door neighbor! Claudia saw our friends walk in and ordered complimentary starters (salad, focaccia, and fritto misto--all tasted fresh from the garden!) for our table to welcome us into the classy yet casual (but noisy) atmosphere. My partner and I ordered from the Culinary Institute of America's $55 3 course restaurant month menu. The white bean croquettes and beet salad were flavorful and filing. With Claudia's starters and our first course, we got quite full and needed to take most of the rest of our food (potato pasta, bucatini, and strawberry mousse) home. Claudia surprised my friends with a complimentary cherry cheesecake to end the evening. Thank you, Claudia and the Grove team for your gracious generosity!

A very fun dining experience with excellent quality food. There's a good amount of parking, but it is shared with other businesses and can get crowded. The location has both indoor and outdoor seating available. We were able to make a reservation through OpenTable and were seated very quickly upon arrival. Most of the staff were very friendly and they were able to answer all of our questions about the menu items. All of the items that we ordered had very thoughtful presentation. Every dish was colorful and tasted as good as they looked. Brunch isn't usually my favorite, but I really enjoyed all of the dishes that we ordered. The beignets were by far my favorite item. They came out hot and fluffy and had the perfect level of sweetness. The portion sizes varied a little bit, but our group shared all of the dishes. They were definitely enough to keep someone full. All of the flavors were very well balanced and I'd be interested to try their dinner as well one day.

Beautiful outdoor setting with vegetable garden view, and citrus grove on the walk from the parking lot. The food was amazing and service was great!

We came for brunch in the outdoor patio and it was so amazing. The atmosphere is good. Price is a bit expensive but the blt sandwich and beignet was tasty and amazing!

Came at a good time, was greeted and handled with care. However, once dinner parties rolled in, our waiter was MIA. There's two options to sit at: the chefs bar, or a regular table. Something that was odd to me about way the layout was made was that the actual bar felt like it was excluded from the restaurant. I tried the full course meal they offered. I think it's worth it if you wana try almost everything.

Great service! The food was definitely different than I am used to but it was exciting to try new things. Our favorite was the house ricotta. The plating of everything was gorgeous and the ambiance outside in the evening was great!

We were really expecting a lot from CIA being that food is their teaching! Food was cold, bitter, had funny after tastes, and nothing that should have ever been plated and served. Took forever to get our food and when we got it, it was cold. The fish had way too bones in it and was not nicely de-boned, was definitely not made to eat elegantly. We had to send several dishes back, including the salad that was bitter, the gnocchi that was hard and the pasta that was hard. The best dish was the tempura broccoli. The server was not very communicative to why there was such a delay in getting our food. We asked to speak to a manager so we can provide them feedback, he did come over and explain that they had some large parties that were causing the delay. He did apologize and took off the items we returned off our check and gave us 1 free drink and a clam dish that was too salty. Clearly there is a breakdown in their service because seems everyone was having issues that night. Such a disappointment because we were so looking forward to this dinner on our girls Napa Trip!

With a wasabi and fennel infused vodka, it was too unique not to be curious about. Upon arriving and looking over the menu, SEVERAL cocktails stood out to me as intriguing to try. I started with the Wabi Sabi which was as interesting as it sounded. While I didn't pick up on fennel, you do pick up on the wasabi, but in the most subtle of ways. Think maybe lime/ginger sparkling water with just a hint of spice. Refreshing and different for sure. I also tried the Mucha Lucha w/ cilantro infused Siete Leguas Blanco, chorizo infused mezcal and cubes made of hot sauce that make the drink have a bit more of a kick as you allow them to melt. I did the HH chips and guac which was also accompanied with a tasty Chipotle sauce. Damn good actually. It'd be excellent served in a variety of ways. The deviled eggs aren't going to blow your mind, but I like that you get 4 different ones- and simply because I love eggs, I'd order them again. (They just wouldn't be a dish that brings me back). As soon as we approached the venue, there was a long line of people waiting to get inside. We arrived a bit later (around 8pm), and the crowd had already started to fill the venue. Mind you, it's a decent sized venue but not a massive space -- enough to accommodate at minimum 100 and likely max of 200 while still staying within code. There were several people coming in and out of the door, where the GM and bouncer for the night , appeared extremely stressed due to the amount of people in line and inside. A woman, who happened to be the wife of the DJ, stepped out to make a phone call and when she attempted to get back inside, proceeded to get yelled at by the bouncer saying she needed to go to the back of the line and wait like everyone else. The woman attempted to tell the bouncer her husband, who was the guest DJ for the night and is a historical, world renowned DJ (again using big names to draw crowds, and appropriating vinyl culture, but not respecting the very people in attendance), needed to tell him she'd be outside and would sit in the car. The GM started to yell and disrespect the DJs wife, and she ended up staying outside. Apparently this GM and venue are not used to larger crowds, and she essentially cracked under pressure. She went on to tell us the capacity was 67, and that they "were already at 200", which is a lie because there was a ton of space between people inside the venue (we have photos to prove it). She kept yelling and pushing people back. Girlfriend, this was not a Vegas club night. This crowd is 40+ (age) crowd, so it's not like people were out of control and acting debaucherous -- everyone was respecting the rules. If you couldn't handle the crowd, which btw you agreed prior to the 80-100 people expected for the party, then why was it such a hassle for your venue to handle the capacity. You knew a larger crowd was expected that night, it's your responsibility as a business owner to adequately staff the bar, door, etc. Yes; we needed to respect the door and the rules -- and everyone did. I won't get into further detail, but a physical altercation took place after the woman tried to return a second time (to again get her husband and tell him what was going on given she was being harassed at the door), putting hands on her in the process. Just completely out of line. Overall, this venue wants to appropriate the music and DJ culture, yet when the actual music and DJ community show up, there is no respect. Let alone for loyal patrons who have frequented your business and brought tons of revenue to the bar that night (which btw was extremely slow). Don't fall for the dog and pony show here. Go somewhere else that touts respects for their patrons, and for all walks of life -- not just the pretentious kind.
