We were greeted warmly and seated outdoors. Beautiful relaxed atmosphere We ordered the eggplant and Caesar salad. One of the best Caesar salads ever. Our group also had the cheeseburger, so delicious with the flavor of the flame. Shrimp fettuccine- excellent and a wonderful chicken sandwich. Our server was superb!! Engaged our grandchildren in a very nice way. Also had the cherries jubilee- yum!!!! Was the best meal we had on our weeks vacation
Solid quick lunch as my son had never been here before but I knew he would like this place as I have dined here for both lunch and dinner a number of times over the past 14 years. Food today was consistent as in past visits but a slight deduction as the plate presentation could have been better. Recommend a bowl for the fries to place on the platter that had the burger which would make the overall presentation look nicer for an Insta or fb photos.
The citrus habanero chicken is one of the best dishes I've ever had!!! The chicken was cooked absolutely perfectly, the skin had amazing texture, the portion size was generous, and both the potatoes and vegetables compliment the chicken really well. The citrus habanero sauce/glaze they used is to DIE FOR and is the perfect marriage or sweet and spicy. I already know that I'll be dreaming about the habanero chicken for years to come!
Nice bar and grill option that was close by "everything". Indoor/outdoor seating available. The food was honestly really good. I had a watermelon martini, some calinari that was amazing and a burger. I know people say "it's just a burger" but this was a damn good burger. Service was alright, as we were sat pretty quickly but time between ordering drinks/apps to ordering entrees was pretty long since we had finished the appetizer before we ordered the entree. Not overly upset tho. Would come back
We are so glad to find this place at last minute on a Friday in Napa! I'm surprised it's not busy because the food is amazing!! I highly recommend the halibut I got. The fish is tender and fresh. It even came with a grilled prawn. What I even love more is the side dishes which is charred cauliflower, asparagus and potatoes. I finished the whole plate and definitely want to come back just for this dish! We didn't get to try the dessert this time but we will definitely come back!
Thanks to the Napa happy hour website I was tuned into the fact that this place has a wonderful happy hour. It was within walking distance of my hotel. They have quite a large bar. When I first sat down I was only provided the dinner menu, but soon after asking about happy hour I was given the secret and special menu. I got the cucumber jalapeño margarita along with a Caesar salad and an order of calamari. I was delighted when it arrived in the calamari also included crispy green beans and a tasty Sriracha aïoli. The bartender was very friendly. The playlist of music was amazing; an eclectic and funky mix of 70s and 80s. If you are in Napa, this is worthy of a visit. Happy hour runs until 6 PM and I believe it starts at 3 PM.
Wow. This place was exceptional! Don't know how it's only 4 stars. Went in for a late brunch. I really wanted the braised short ribs but the didn't have the dinner menu out. Our server asked the chef and they were able to make it for me. I ate the ENTIRE dish. I almost licked the plate clean. It was so juicy and cooked to perfection. I want to go back already. The carrots were superb. Next time I'll order extra. Partner got the chicken sandwich. I had a bite. Super juicy and flavorful. Friend got the steak and eggs and really enjoyed it. The eggs were cooked perfectly. I split the croissant with my friend and that thing was sooo good! Buttery perfection. Delicious cheese and tomato on the inside. Bottomless mimosas as well with options of orange, lychee and... I forgot the 3rd. Delicious. Already looking forward to coming back. Comfortable seats. Cute decor. Nice for a date spot. Servers were wonderful.
I had a lovely time at Napkins Bar and Grill. We had planned to eat a different neighboring establishment but the wait was too long. Thankfully, Napkins could fit the 4 of us in at the bar. The bartender helping us was amazing. Just so personable and he answered all of our questions, all while training a new bartender. A real professional. I'm vegetarian (mostly) and the bartender suggested the vegetable wellington to me and that dish BLEW MY MIND. I wish I were in Napa right now so that I could eat it again. It was all veggies, artfully assembled, and surprisingly delicious! My 3 friend also loved their food. Unfortunately I was so focused on my food that I have no idea what they ate or drank. The ambiance is fancy-ish and casual. I would go here on a date or even a solo nice dinner. I can't wait to go back and try the wellington again. My only bed was that the wine list was pretty short. I wish there were more choices.

After attending an event that I was invited to, I wanted a steak so, a quick internet search landed on the pages of Napkins Bar & Grill (NBG) and off I went. NBG is smack dead in the heart of downtown Napa. It's the place you didn't know to look for, but happy you've found it. The Service: Attentive, warm, and delightfully customer-focused. Our server offered thoughtful suggestions for an enjoyable yet light bubbly enough for me to without the consequences of getting a DUI. :) I'm not a cocktail connoisseur YET, but let's just say, the recommendations were spot on. I slowly sipped, but thoroughly enjoyed their version of a watermelon margarita and added a jalapeno'. It was sooo good. Such a great recommendation. The Food: Flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. I ordered the brunch serving of chimichurri steak and eggs. OMG! It was seasoned to perfection and cooked exactly how I asked it to be; "medium well, please, but closer to well". The Ambiance: Chic, cozy, and absolutely Instagram-worthy. Whether you're capturing a holiday moment, a girls' night, or a date night, the vibe is unbeatable. Since it's located next to a local park and another bar'ish like establishment, people watching is top tier here. Parking: Street parking only, so securing a space can take a little patience. Great restaurant for casual brunch! We were in search of eggs for brunch & found Napkins via Yelp! We chose to sit outside because it was a beautiful, sunny day & they have outdoor umbrellas to offer some shade too. I had the smoked salmon Benedict which comes with crispy potatoes with aioli on the side which went well with the potatoes. I had the passion-mango mimosa which was yummy. We shared the apple crisp for dessert, which was delicious. Service is helpful & friendly.

Thankfully, the weather wasn't too cold but when it got breezy, staff was quick to turn on the heating lamps at request. The ambiance was wonderful for us for a casual intimidate-ish dinner. Definitely not upscale but also not underwhelming. Really depends on what you're looking for but it was perfect for us. Limited menu but entrees were executed perfectly, in my opinion. The braised pork was extremely tender and my husband enjoyed his steak! The chocolate cake was extremely decadent and I was overstuffed after that. But definitely would order it again. I docked a star because I felt service could have been a bit better but I'm not sure if it was because we were seated outside. We weren't checked in as frequently even when we wanted to order another drink but in terms of taste, everything was great for us.
We had a great dinner at Napkins with a party of six and were seated outside on the patio. I was a little disappointed by the limited selection of red wines available by the glass, especially since I really wanted a glass with dinner. They did have several nice bottles to choose from, though. Our waiter was very friendly, attentive, and took great care of our table. We started with the pastry appetizer and the mushroom arancini balls. Both were good, but neither was anything that completely blew us away. My husband and I both ordered the halibut, and it was fantastic. The portions were generous, the fish was incredibly flavorful, and we both absolutely loved it. Everyone else at our table was also very pleased with their meals. The only unpleasant part of the evening was not really the restaurant's fault. The people seated next to us kept putting their small dogs on the table and allowing them to eat off their plates and lick the table. I have dogs and fully support bringing them along to dog-friendly restaurants, but that felt very unsanitary. I do think someone from the restaurant should have asked them to stop, although I'll give the staff the benefit of the doubt that they may not have seen it. Overall, we had a really great experience and would definitely recommend Napkins. I'd give it a solid 4.5 stars! read more
TLDR: Super attentive service in an adorable classy space. Instagram worthy drinks but food could've used a bit more attention Our waiter was the sweetest guy. He told us about the specials and I took him up on the special: shrimp ravioli in lobster sauce. Sadly, it was very bland and lacked the "lobster" flavor in the thick sauce. The drinks were awesome. Totally recommend the drinks: Midnight in Italy and Fume Midnight in Italy was basically a very well served Manhattan. But it was gloriously served. Giant cube ice cube, really lovely rye whiskey and the perfect orange garnish that added to the senses as you sipped Fume arrived in a light fixture like glass box that you open to retrieve your drink. It's filled with smoke to add to the drink's experience. My hands smelled like smoke hours after the dinner. The drink was tasty. The grilled pineapple was tasty. But it was more showy than tasty. Baker brie was insanely delish. It was the best baked Brie I had. Perfectly balanced with the honey and pistachio. The iceberg wedge salad was as you would've expected. Decent sized Maybe we didn't ordered the dishes that they were most popular for so I was disappointed. Will have to come back and try another round. Especially for the drinks. read more

What a great Valentine's Dinner. Ambiance was very nice & you could say romantic. Service was amazing! Our server was very friendly & attentive. My water glass was never empty. 8/16/25 Napkins Bar & Grill 1001 2nd St Ste 112 Napa, CA 94559 We stopped in for lunch on Saturday while on a road trip to Napa. There is a city parking structure about a block away. It's across the street from the river. It's a classy, well appointed bar and dining setup. Service was prompt and fast. I had the Brisket Sandwich with fries and Wifey had the special Pasta which consisted of beef, wide pasta noodles in a light sauce. My shredded brisket was tender but not very flavorful, the shoestring fries however were excellent. The pasta was okay. It was okay and value likewise. It's worth a stop if in the area and maybe repeatable. read more
While in downtown Napa, we stumbled upon this delightful place last minute while searching for a light dinner. Without a reservation, we were able to get waitlisted for an hour. The front staff and servers were very kind. While waiting to be seated (one hour wait), we were given water and also allowed to sit at the bar. The ambience is cozy and inviting. Dimmed lighting, definitely good for a quick bite while catching up and also good for groups. Wonderful customer service! The food was very good. We had ordered a few items to share -- Crab cakes, side order of steak and side of fries, and Habañero Chicken. Fulfilling and also delicious. It's definitely something to try if you're in downtown Napa. I look forward to trying other items on the menu during my next visit. my group got lucky and we were able to snatch up a last minute reservation for 6 of us right after the christmas parade! we got a table outside, but the heaters warmed us up quickly! i forgot to take a picture of all the food, but i did get a pic of my drink, the lychee martini and it was deliciousssss. tasted exactly like lychee and not overbearingly sweet at all. my husband, daughter, and i shared the churrasco steak, bowl of clam chowder, and macaroni and cheese. everything was yummerzzzzz!! the steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and the chimmichurri (don't know if i spelled that right lol) was the perfect topping. i usually feel like clam chowders do not have enough clams in them but this one was abundant in clams and had a great flavor! we had a great experience and can't wait to be back to try more :) read more

Went to Napkins with family for the very first time. The food was delicious! Especially the Calamari & String Beans. No one in our party had a single complaint about their food. We were especially impressed with our fantastic & very attentive waitress Rachel! She took great care of us and made us laugh too. She felt like part of the family. We made a reservation. And as soon as we got here, we sat down and it was very quick. We ordered the shrimp linguine, the chicken, and the seafood plate. The chicken is one of the best things ever. The shrimp in the seafood plate was very far, but other than that the seafood plate was good. Also the shrimp linguine Noodles were nice and delicious, but they could have added maybe a thicker sauce. It was very light and needed a bit more seasoning to it. read more

Good food, great service, in a relaxed ambiance perfectly describes Napkins in Napa. Customer service was outstanding, hats off to Josh our host. We ordered the New England Clam Chowder to start, which was ok. A lot of clams, but lacked flavor. Wasn't thick and hearty like classic clam chowder. However, the rest of the dishes were beyond amazing which made me forget about the clam chowder. The Braised Short Ribs stole the show. Ribs were extremely tender and full of flavor. The puff pastry with pesto was also good. Overall I can't wait to go back and try other menu options. Looking forward! read more

Napkin does an excellent job. The interior is warm and only a bit slick. The server was informative and knowledgeable and there was not a single missed step. The food is worth a return visit to sample the rest of the menu. Notable dishes are the mussels in saffron and tomato reduction and the vegetarian wellington. Highest rating. The night we were there it was fairly quiet. The other restaurants had even fewer customers. This area was built for success, but I guess weekdays in February are not busy. read more
We opted for here after looking at a bunch of choices. Up opted for clam chowder which was a little thinner for then I like but clams in every spoonful, habanero wings. Hey Yelpers!!!! Was in Napa for a get away and was leaving and needed to grab something to eat before leaving. Found this literally looking up " food nearby ". So we decided to give it a try. THE CHEF, THE FOOD. Is 100/10 THE SERVER/WAITER we had was 0/10. I wish I knew how to spell and pronounce his name. He was very rude. He talked over me, got things all wrong with what WE WANTED/HOW WE WANTED ... OUR FOOD.... Because he wanted it how " he thought " it should be. But there were things we did not want on our plate for specific reasons ( allergies)... I ordered the habanero Chicken and my friend ordered Salmon with mashed potatoes. I would have left this restaurant a 1 star because service was so bad, and I strongly believe it's because we are " of color "... but the food was delicious. Parking was tough. Street parking. A lot of red zones I hope your experience is different from ours. But I will go back just for my dish, it was so great!!! I destroyed it!!! read more

Amazing experience at Napkins! We struggled to find a dining option that was open middle of the day and a friend recommended Napkins. Samantha took excellent care of us and shared her favorite entrees/recommendations. We decided on the halibut and the short rib. INcredible! The halibut had the perfect sear with a beautiful, tangy lemony finish and paired with cauliflower hash. The short rib was tender as butter and served on top of perfectly prepared polenta and a side of spinach and mushrooms: Our meals were so amazing we insisted on thanking Luis (chef) ourselves! Napkins did not disappoint while I was in town for my annual Napa trip. We were seated promptly and shocked to see they had a prefixed menu for resturant month. i typically come the first week in December so seeing resturant month was new for me. We were super exited to see this because the items we were already going to order was on that menu so we both got the 2-course selection. For my cocktail I ordered the Fall old fashioned, the way they paired by two favorite things...Fall and an old fashioned cocktail was spectacular. For my first course I ordered the Creole shrimp as my appetizer and it was served with a nice portion of shrimp in a delectable creole sauce and some bread. On to the main attraction, the star of the show...a generous portion of braised short rib! When I'm in Napa I always find myself ordering short rib and it's always so good! We decided to have one more drink that was served smoked and presented in a cage...presentation and flavor 5/5! Our server was amazing and I will be sure to make napkins a stop in my next trip back to wine country. read more

Indecisive about where to have dinner for a date night and found Napkins Bar and Grill! As soon as we entered, the hostess was really nice in greeting us. We were a bit early for our dinner reservation but was seated upon walking in which was great considering it was a Saturday night and was pretty busy. The food was absolutely delicious and we didn't need to wait long to be served. The ambiance was laid back, yet romantic. Let's talk about the CRAB CAKE.. YUM!!! Would for sure recommend for the appetizer. Definitely plan on coming back to try more things from the menu. read more

Sometimes. They mostly use a DJ so the type of music may change. It's best to check with them before going. The atmosphere changes when the music starts. People dance wherever they are in the restaurant. It does tend get crowded.
