Traditional Filipino dishes [Vallejo CA] We were in the area and were looking for a place to eat preferably serving Filipino cuisine since we have limited options in Roseville. Hubby found this restaurant and so we drove to the place. First thing you'll notice once you enter the restaurant is the warm temp inside - no AC but they have electric fans going on. To the right is a long shelf with a variety grocery items while the table seating is laid out in the center. TV was tuned in to a channel playing a Filipino movie. This is a "turo-turo" style food ordering, meaning no table service instead you go to where the dishes are cooked in large portions (which is towards the back of the restaurant) and you choose which ones you want. We ordered: Pork Sinigang - a little too sour for me but this is a classic Filipino soup with pork ribs, vegetables, and tamarind broth. Bistek (beef steak) - thin slices of marinated beef before smothered in a deeply savory sauce and topped with golden-seared onions Pork Adobo - classic Filipino dish of pork simmered in vinegar, soy sauce, and garlic Kaldereta - goat meat stew I didn't try the kaldereta but all the other dishes were good and delicious. On a recent road trip through vallejo we stumbled upon this small restaurant and store that served Filipino food. We craved it and the reviews were decent. Although the selection was limited,each dish was tasty. Based on the location I suspect this place services local Filipinos the convenience for some goods. The space has been configured with table to sit and enjoy the hot and flavorful eats. The owner was very helpful identifying the dishes and served us with a big smile. A neighborly customer boasted about the catering and especially the crispy pata dish. We look forward to stopping in again when in the area. read more

I ordered 300 lumpias for a party, they were delicious but I wish she wouldn't of covered them right after frying cause they got soggy when I got to the event and uncovered the other 2 trays. They still got eaten, but I'd say just leave them uncovered next time. read more

They are very well known for their crispy pata (deep fried pork hock) which i would say we have ordered so many times and the flavor and quality is consistent. They also have fried pork head and fried whole chicken which are also good. each of these three items range from 20-29$ which can be shared with 4-5 people. Craving this Filipino delicacy as I am half Filipino so I decided to yelp and found this joint on my way back from Rancho Solano. Place an order and within 20 mins, it was ready. Giving this place a 3.5 for their crispy knuckles. A little salty for me and the skin wasn't as crispy as I remembered. The store was pretty much dead and dark inside and food on their warming table seemed liked it has been sitting all day. Too much cluster of stuff and things inside and their sign was it in bold letters that it is pretty easy to miss if it's your first time there just like me. Good to try but will not probably not come back. Giving 2 stars for the resto itself. Besides their famous & delectable crispy pata, their oxtail kare-kare was well made. I am very picky with kare-kare because I make them a lot & their kare-kare was just as delicious as mine , so I let the $$ price on a large kare-kare slide.
