The food is delicious! I feel like I was invited to a firehouse for dinner the food taste like homemade. The best chicken adobo I've ever hade not too much vinegar delicious gravy over perfect rice! The beef bistec was tender with just the perfect balance of flavorful gravy with a hint of lemon. The Shanghai lumpia were fresh and crispy. The bbq chicken so good with just the perfect charred flavor and delicious marinade. We both said we want to try again and even go in person we ordered for delivery and everything was packaged so well. I've never been here. I actually thought this was another eatery I was familiar with but it's not it. Anyways, the place is ok. There is a huge parking lot and lots of seating if you want to dine in. There's lots of main dishes to choose from and some sides. I went for the BBQ pork skewers, pinakbet (veggie mix) and rice. I really liked the flavor of the BBQ however, the meat was chewy (like it's a day old). The pinakbet was really good. Tasted like how we cook it at home. Maybe next time the BBQ will be fresh. All the food looked really good but of course I couldn't try too many since we were just out for work lunch. There were a few people in line but it moved quickly. The staff were really friendly. The party tray package deals are such a good deal! They have 4 different price point options and a good selection of dishes to choose from. I attached a couple menus for their regular dish selections for the packages, and the specialties you can upgrade to. When I'm not hosting a party, I do like to frequent this spot for a combo meal. It's about $13 for a 2 item combo and the quantity is good enough for at least 2 meals! Maybe 3 if you add a bit more rice lol My go to is the sisig and the kaldareta. The sisig has a nice citrus taste that pairs well with the fatty pork and the beef in the kaldareta is usually pretty tender. The sauce is so savory over rice, and I like that they add a piece of carrot/potato but focus more on giving you the beef! I've had the pork BBQ stick here but it's not as tender as I feel like it should be. The chicken adobo is always a classic though and the ginataang veggie dish is so yum! I just skip around the bitter melons! If you're in the mood for dessert, they have buko pandan containers for sale. The buko pandan is sooo coconutty and creamy with a strong pandan flavor. The jellies are nice and soft and squishy, but I do wish there was more young coconut strips in this. The inside has ample seating, and tends to have lines through out the day as it's a popular spot, right next to Island Pacific market. As I walked in the server was stirring in what looked to be food that's been sitting in the warmer for some time but r even a day old with some newly made food. OVERPRICED WITH BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! We drove out to PhilHouse in Vallejo hoping to pick up some Filipino food for a potluck. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the moment we walked in. Three employees stood behind the counter and didn't acknowledge us until my wife initiated the conversation. Instead of greeting or assisting us, they seemed to be pointing at one another, debating who should help-completely unprofessional. The party package options were extremely limited, and substitutions weren't allowed. If you wanted anything oufside the preset menu, you had to pay extra. The "party trays" turned out to be small plastic containers-about 4.5 cups in volume, similar to a Tupperware. While we were still deciding on our order, the older staff member helping us appeared visibly annoyed and flustered, even upset that she had to cross out her notes when we changed an item. It felt rushed and uncomfortable. Honestly, we should have walked out. But we stayed and ended up paying nearly $400 for tiny portions of beef steak, pancit, and chicken adobo. On top of that, we paid separately for 200 pieces of lumpia ($110) and 4.5 lbs of sisig ($89.96). For the price and the poor service, it was a complete rip-off. NEVER AGAIN. read more

It's my first time being here, and I must admit it's not too bad. They serve a lot of Filipino food. From BBQ to fried food! My dad and I decided to order to go. We got the Sisig and Laing. The sisig was pretty good, but the Laing lacked ingredients. It was pretty basic, nothing special. Usually, they would have little shrimp and pork, but this one didn't have any. The service was decent. There was a line, but they had it moving. We were in and out for no more than 8 minutes. The inside wasn't anything special. I grew up eating PhilHouse food, and I recently visited, and it is still the same--very delicious! They pretty much have everything you crave in Filipino cuisine: from lechon kawali, menudo, bangus, to desserts like halo-halo. It is a cafeteria-style restaurant with plenty of indoor seating available. You can grab a combo plate for dine-in, small-to-large family sharing sizes, or even party platters. A small container looks a bit too small; however, the titas will use their ladles to pack the container with food until it is full to the brim. They also make sure your orders contain all of the ingredients in a dish. In menudo, for example, they will carefully add the correct portions of meat, veggies, and other ingredients so it doesn't feel like there is a "lack" in the dish. My go-to dishes here are the lechon kawali, which still tastes very delicious even after a day by just reheating in the air fryer. Surprisingly, their mongo is also a favorite of mine. Typically, vegetable dishes in restaurants aren't the best in my opinion, but PhilHouse mongo is on a different level. I doordashed an order for a 100pc lumpia a day before my friendsgiving for the 26th. On the day of, I asked my friend to pick up the order but once she got there, she was told that I have not paid yet and that my order did not go through at all. They claimed that their system is down for their doordash and cannot see their orders. However, on my end, my payment went through and my order was already put in. I facetimed my friend and screenshared my receipt on doordash to the person working there but all she said at first was that their doordash is down and that I have to pay again. After a long back and forth, she had to call her managers as they were not working at that time. I showed to them how it shows on my map that it is specifically the Vallejo branch but apparently its not enough verification for them. They were extremely unhelpful and only came with the resolution of us either having to pay for the lumpia again or resolve it with doordash. This was a whole 30 minute conversation with them and we ended up not having the lumpia for our party. We would obviously not want to pay twice its original price. We were extremely dissatisfied with this and probably the poorest customer service I've experienced in a while. It was extremely disappointing to deal with them in this way, as we did not really want to make a fuss as we understand its the holidays and as a retail worker myself, I wouldn't want to have a back and forth with a customer like this. However, our complaints were valid and backed with evidence but we were not met with a proper and decent response from PhilHouse itself. Me and my family are regulars at this place and we love it there and it honestly saddens me to type this review but this was our experience. We always order big batches of lumpia for our parties and also through doordash. So, this whole thing was just a surprise to our entire family. I just hope they find a better system or response to these kinds of situations as they handled it completely wrong and wished we were treated better. As we were patient with how our order was messed up in the first place. If their doordash was down, they could have found a way to resolve the situation without making their customers feel like 1. it's their fault 2. to find their own solution. Low rating here, now I know why. I was excited to see Filipino food as an option for Door Dash so I decided to give it a try. First off, they took an hour and a half to deliver it. Door Dash gave me a $10 credit for that. The food was reasonably priced, but sadly, you don't get what you order. I ordered two breakfast combos - instead of the longanisa they substituted tons of off-brand SPAM. I wouldn't have minded the substitution that much but it wasn't even real SPAM. I also ordered the fried milkfish with one of the combos, and I didn't like the breading they used on it. Definitely not what I'm used to. I ordered Bicol Express, they gave me mechado? instead. It was good but that's not what I ordered. Overall, the food was good - except the breading on the milkfish. I was disappointed at all the substitutions (aka surprises) once my food was delivered.
