They are made to order so you gotta pack your patience, allow about 20 mins from order, it's totally worth it. $7.95 each with a minimum of two per order so bring a friend to share. I cannot say I can finish two and I'm a big eater too. The spiced vinegar served with them cuts the richness of the deep fried goodness. This review is for their empanadas only! I've tried several empanadas in the Bay Area, from a gas station in Daly City to private sellers I've found on social media! Out of all of them, this empanada was probably my least favorite one. My mother & father in law are from the Philippines and they agreed. These are really stuffed with meat but they were really dry. The egg was also fully cooked, I prefer a soft runny yolk. The ratio was probably 50% meat, 30% mung bean, and 20% papaya. It was just sooo dry, you definitely needed to drench that in vinegar to get through it. The outer shell was really crispy though! + points for being able to order & pick up same day! From the time i learned that they serve goat, i think we have been ordering food here for 2 weeks to taste everything then we got crazier when we learn that they sell empanada! Their caldereta is good but requires more spice but hubby loves it. Their adobo not much, we also ordered their sinampalukan & pinapaitan which are equally good. What we ordered: * Garlic peanuts, $7.99 - a tub of fried peanuts seasoned with garlic. You'll love these if you love peanuts and garlic like I do. * Ilocos empanada, $7.95 - huge, generously stuffed, and crispy! Filled with Vigan longganisa, grated green papaya, munggo, and an egg. Served with vinegar on the side. * Pinapaitan, $14.99 for medium size a la carte - my dad ordered this. He enjoyed it and said it tastes authentic. Bitter and savory with lots of broth. * Kilawin, $30.99 for large size a la carte - my parents and I tried the kilawin and loved it. Lots of goat meat and skin. Mildly spicy with the jalapeños. You can taste the vinegar too. Comes with lemon wedges if you want more acidity. I took home most of the kilawin to use for lunches. It's delicious warm as well as cold. I like to pair it with rice or salad for a more balanced meal. * Tortang talong, $12.99 - large pieces of tortang talong with java rice, and atchara. I didn't get to try it, but my fiancé said it was delicious. * Inasal plate, $12.99 - tender, juicy, perfectly grilled and seasoned chicken quarter with java rice, soy vinegar sauce, and chili oil. This was so delicious and filling. I took home the rice because it was a lot of rice for me, but it reheated well when I ate it a few days later. * Kamsilog, $14.99 - soy sauce calamnsi marinated goat meat with java rice, egg, and atchara. My mom loved it and said it tasted similar to bistek. The goat was tender and well seasoned. Big meal and good value for the price. Note If you pay with card, they have a $0.50 fee. No working bathroom for customers at the moment, but there is a bathroom in the nearby Island Pacific Supermarket. Service was excellent, the person who took my order was very kind and attentive. Ordering was simple and easy. Best to ask what they have available especially if you come around 4pm. Some dishes may be out by then. Had to get some of those famous empanadas. They were very big and stuffed to the point that one could be a whole meal. They take a bit of time to cook though. They do make it to order so being patient is key, but well worth it. Also tried some of the goat dishes, hard to find some goat dishes that don't have that strong scent or taste on it. But the dishes i ordered were perfect, made me feel like I was at one of my family bbq's when I was younger. Just needed a beer to wash it all down and an uncle telling me to try more. We've been here so many times and love the filipino food especially the isaw which is not readily available everywhere. We regularly goat papaitan, pork sisig or pork bbq. l used to order chicken isaw to them pick up at a Vallejo house few years ago too. Owners are hardworking and friendly. Pork Sisig Silog 4.5/5: It was cut up in cubes and had a good tangy citrus kick to it! The garlic rice is mild but really good. Then it pairs with some pickled veggies and an egg. Five stars for all-day garlic fried rice & egg (silog) dishes! Love having the option of hot Filipino breakfasts at the restaurant or at home via Door Dash. Yay! All the meat options are great, but my favorites are beef tapa and the bangus (milkfish). They serve it with pickled daikon which is good, but I think I like garlic vinegar best - though I'm not sure they serve it. Sisig is good too, very tasty... but I wish it was more meaty than fatty. I get that traditionally sisig was made with pig ears/cheeks. Their version is more authentic, but may cater to a broader audience if it was more meaty. Just a thought! I'd still eat it. Haha For all the Ilocano's out there, it's great having a restaurant in town that serves goat. My dad, who is full-blooded Ilocano, ate here twice and is still not a fan of the kambing (goat) dishes. He had the pinapaitan version and said the broth was too greasy/fatty for his liking. That said, three stars for the goat dishes... although others may love it. From a face value glance of Just En Joy's menu, we were kind of surprised with how limited the menu was for an Ilocano restaurant. Perhaps they'll add a few more dishes but the majority of their meals are breakfast (silog), goat, and intestine (common street food items) grilled on a stick. They have the traditional silog such as tapa, tocino, longganisa and bungus. I ordered the bangus silog but was a not bewildered with the size of the fish. We also ordered the kaldereta, chicken feet, chichen isaw, bbq chicken, bbq pork, and pork bilog. Overall, the flavors are all there but the serving sizes were small for the main dishes and price. Perhaps it would be wise to order ala cart and get side rice if you were to share the meal. Dining area is large. Sometimes it can get messy when patrons leave as there is no place to buss your dishes after eating but the service was friendly. If they add some Ilocano staples to their menu I'll surely be back but I'll have to keep in mind to order it as ala cart. read more

So tried this place on take out yesterday. I love goat. A medium sized order which to me was small cost $17.95 out the door. Just came back from the Bahamas and had a small order bigger than the medium sized order from this place and it was $6. What a disparity. The goat was good. Alright, so this is a new restaurant here in Vallejo and I'm a bit disappointed with their prices on their menu. They are pretty expensive for the amount of food they give you and for being in Vallejo. You would think that newly opened restaurants would put more food like make it worth the amount of money that you paid for or a couple of dollars cheaper for the amount of food that they serve. In addition, if YOU are not into goat or internal organs and chicken feet this place is not for you. Don't get me wrong but I'm sure many people would love to have some Goat, BBQ Intestines or chicken feet. That is just not my thing or style. I am sure it's good for other people. The 3 stars are for their services. The employees are very very nice. They smile and greet you with an open arms. The place is pretty clean unlike the former restaurant that was once there. I gotta give it to them unlike other restaurants that I've been to they are grumpy or don't feel like serving you and the place is filthy. The food is OK I tried the Sisig and kaldereta (goat) and it's definitely your typical Filipino food that you get in any other Filipino restaurants.
