Pork Sisig and Lechon Kawali - super yummy!
    Darlene M.

Great Filipino food truck to patronize - I highly recommend this place. Even though I'm Filipina and can get Filipino food any time I want, the food here is authentic and worthy of your support. Love their pork sisig. It's flavorful and meaty - no pig ears and pig cheeks, just the good stuff. Try it! I would have liked the Lechon Kawali to be a little more crispy, but it was still delicious. I loved the shanghai lumpia - tastier than usual, not dry, and had a good crunch. Looking forward to trying their Bicol Express next time. Yes, there will be a next time!

Solid solid pork sisig. Came with two mini egg rolls but the overall flavor was phenomenal! The flavors were so bright and deep.

Traditional Filipino dishes [Vallejo CA]…read more We were in the area and were looking for a place to eat preferably serving Filipino cuisine since we have limited options in Roseville. Hubby found this restaurant and so we drove to the place. First thing you'll notice once you enter the restaurant is the warm temp inside - no AC but they have electric fans going on. To the right is a long shelf with a variety grocery items while the table seating is laid out in the center. TV was tuned in to a channel playing a Filipino movie. This is a "turo-turo" style food ordering, meaning no table service instead you go to where the dishes are cooked in large portions (which is towards the back of the restaurant) and you choose which ones you want. We ordered: Pork Sinigang - a little too sour for me but this is a classic Filipino soup with pork ribs, vegetables, and tamarind broth. Bistek (beef steak) - thin slices of marinated beef before smothered in a deeply savory sauce and topped with golden-seared onions Pork Adobo - classic Filipino dish of pork simmered in vinegar, soy sauce, and garlic Kaldereta - goat meat stew I didn't try the kaldereta but all the other dishes were good and delicious. You will definitely feel the Filipino hospitality here. Street parking. Maraming salamat! Review #3929

Inside is spacious with lovely lego sets displayed around the area. The family who runs the restaurant are very nice, and our food came out about 20-25 minutes after. The lumpias were solid with a good crisp and flavor. The garlic chicken wings were super crispy and the sweet sauce paired very well. I love these style of chicken wings, and 3 Star does it well! For a good price with generous serving size, we were very satisfied. There were also so many take-out orders that were happening at the same time, so I really appreciate the service being able to handle it all! I would definitely recommend!

That said, judged on its own merits, they do make a genuinely good wing. Maybe even a great wing. The flavors are solid and it's worth a stop if you happen to be driving through the neighborhood and the craving hits. I think the key here is just managing your expectations going in. If you can set aside the San Tung benchmark and just let this place be what it is, you'll likely walk away pretty satisfied. It's a decent spot with a respectable wing, and sometimes that's exactly what you need.

So not as many grocery items. The veggies looked fresh. The line for food isn't too long of a wait. I watched as they packed the food to see if they pack as much as the other location. The lady who assisted me packed generously to the people she helped ahead of me. So of course I'm here thinking they do pack as much as the other location. But when it came to me, it wasn't even close. The palabok was packed where the container actually closed with ease. Same with the Kare Kare and Laing. The bihon pancit barely overflowing. If you check out the other photos of other reviewers, you'll know what I mean. And that's how the people ahead of me had their orders packed. I guess that server just picks and chooses who she wants to overpack for. I find that unfair. She looked the youngest out of the four ladies working. I spent practically $60 for what I got. Guess I'm better off going to Suisun city since I've never had been shaded on. The only good customer service I experienced was the sweet lady at the register who rung me up. She was pleasant and convinced to grab dessert. She's pretty much the reason I'm giving at least three stars for this review. The food was good, but probably would taste better if my experience was more positive. Only thing was the noodles in the palabok was a little overcooked. Good thing I got dessert cause the maja was exactly what I was expecting and enjoyed every bite. Other than that, I don't think I'll be wasting my time heading out to this location anytime soon. Took almost an hour to get here to begin with and had that experience as a first impression. I'd rather drive another ten miles to Suisun city.
