This review is years overdue. The first time I had Very Brave Coffee was at the Kaiser Vallejo Farmers Market, and it's been fun watching them grow ever since. What started as a great cup of coffee has evolved into a menu that pays homage to Filipino flavors with drinks like the ube matcha latte, banana q latte, and lilimansi matcha, while also celebrating the islands with favorites like the ʻohana latte. As much as I tell myself I'm going to branch out, I almost always default to my oat white chocolate mocha. It's consistently smooth, well balanced, and delicious every single time. Don't get me wrong, I genuinely enjoy the ube latte and the banana q latte, but my classic order wins almost every time. One thing that's remained constant over the years is the staff. They're always warm, friendly, and patient, taking the time to answer questions even when the line starts to grow. Whether you stop by their home inside Famous Creations in Fairfield, catch them at one of their pop-ups throughout the week, or find them at community events around Solano and Napa County, they're well worth seeking out. Come get your caffeine fix, find a new favorite drink... or be like me and happily order a tried and true cup read more

Great service! The Ube cookies and cream shake was delicious! Anything with banana tends to run out quick so get there early!! Since they are a pop-up thing, they don't really have seating. It's more of a grab and go. Personally, I wish they would put more Pandan cream in my latte. Yes, I would definitely visit again! read more

I tried their ube matcha at the Kaiser permanente farmer market. This might be one of the best if not the best ube matcha I've had. The matcha was strong but not too bitter and their ube syrup is just right on sweetness. The ube foam was just another plus. The service was great they take their time to do the drink correctly. I didn't mind waiting for how delish it was. The ambience , this is a tent pop up at Kaiser in Walnut Creek. read more

Staff was super friendly & welcoming. They were very helpful & ready to answer any questions for us about their menu. I decided to get the banana cold foam with cold brew iced. It was so tasty & banana was not overpowering at all. It was also not overly sweet which I appreciated since I don't like super sweet drinks. The shop is shared with a dessert place & they also share the tables and chairs in their. Very cute shop will have to stop by for another coffee & to try their neighbors desserts. read more

Couldn't pass up this stall at Kaiser Vacavilles farmers market. The barista was friendly. The banana cold brew is mind blowing. It's that good. You have to enjoy banana flavor to appreciate how good it is. The banana chips are a good touch. Very unique and delicious. Will definitely be coming back ! 07/01 Update tried the Banana matcha as-well & it's pretty good ! Definitely a ceremonial grade matcha being used. Check them out. read more

I started coming to Very Brave's downtown Fairfield location located in Famous Creations, and I will definitely be a regular. Their ube drinks are just too good! I find it hard to find places that truly have that ube flavor, but Very Brave has it. Their drinks have been my midweek sweet treat! They are so kind at any location you find them at! At least at the downtown Fairfield location, service is a little slow, but there is only 1 person taking orders and preparing drinks. Because of this, I don't mind the wait. Love Very Brave Coffee! Maybe next time I'll try another of their specialty drinks, but it'll be hard to choose something that's not ube for sure. read more

Finally got to try out Very Brave drinks at the Harajuku Marketplace in Natomas last weekend! I love all their Filipino flavors on the menu, that made it hard to decide. I enjoyed the cream on the Banana Q Cold Brew but would've liked an espresso option since I'm not a big fan of the watery taste of cold brew. We liked the flavor of the ube cookies and cream latte, wish more places offered that flavor combo with the ube! The drinks did take a little bit longer considering nobody was ahead of us but otherwise they were very nice. Hope to catch them at another event sometime! read more

Nice staff, I've had the Ube coffee before and I wasn't impressed by it, the ube doesn't really have much flavor. The Ohana latte is good! Same with the lavender one. My one gripe is that there's grind at the bottom of my drink. read more

Had a chance to try the pandan latte and ube latte at the farmers market pop-up. Both were surprisingly balanced and not sweet. Also tried an ube mochi bread which was better than th lattes! Baristas were friendly. read more

Cute pop up Filipino flavored inspired coffee. Had the calamansi matcha drink. Very refreshing. The matcha was very light so it mainly tasted like Calamansi. read more

I love supporting local Filipino restaurants/foodies! I was recommended this business on Yelp and Instagram, and I'm so glad I was in the area to finally try it. Their drinks are Filipino flavored/inspired. I talked to the cashier (owner probably) and he was very kind. The inside is really modern and cute; they share the spot with Bonito Poke. I remember this place being Crave Cafe back in the day haha. If you wanna follow where they are serving coffee, I would recommend following them on Instagram for their schedule and where to find them! They weren't that busy at 930am on a Wednesday, but it did take about 10ish minutes to make the two drinks! I ordered the banana cold brew and got my friend their toffee nut matcha. The cold brew was exactly what I needed. The foam was sweet, but not too sweet. The little banana chips gave me so much nostalgia!! The cold brew is definitely strong and had me wired for a day at work lmao. My friend said the toffee nut matcha was hella good!! We both finished our drinks and need to come back to try more of their specialty drinks! I asked if they switch up their menu at all, and the owner said they will be coming out with a spring menu sometime soon. They have a Pandan latte right now, so I can't wait to come back to give that a try. They also have a loyalty card, if you plan on buying hella drinks! read more

They're located inside the cake shop. My go to drink is the ube latte. It's Filipino inspired flavors so it's good to dabble if you're in the mood. read more

I ordered the Ube Cookies and Cream and it was delicious! The Ube cold foam is authentic (made in house) and the crumble on top is a great touch. Two sips into my drink and I knew I had to order one for my husband (he is particular about Ube flavoring). My daughter ordered the Ube latte and her eyes lit up. The customer service was excellent (I think the gentleman was the owner) he had a great tip to take a sip of the cold foam first then mix it in. We had a really great experience and would recommend coming here! Can't wait to try their other flavored drinks. We will be repeat customers! read more

Found this cute place set up inside Famous Creations on Texas street in Fairfield, Ca. I needed a space to grab some matcha and get some work done. Very cute space! Service was prompt and order taken quickly. Was recommended on sipping before drinking from a straw. It made sense, I ordered an iced Ube Matcha. It did not disappoint. Personally, I feel it is a beautifully married blend and they did it justice. read more

I came with my friend around 1 pm and they were packed. ordered : (5/5) - Banana Cold Brew : This was DELICIOUS. It was $9 for a 16 oz, which is pretty pricy in my opinion, but I think about this drink all the time because it was so good! service: (4/5) The place was busy and it took about 15-20 minutes to make our drinks. I probably wouldn't come if I was in a rush, but its a great pick me up! vibe: (4/5) It is located inside of a poke shop. The poke shop isn't badly decorated but it's not a sit down place where you can have a coffee or study. No wifi. parking: (5/5) Free parking lot out front! overall: Overall I would still come back! Probably as a treat to myself :) read more

I adore these people so much! They're on the higher end of the coffee-tea price range but the quality and creativity makes that totally worth it!! I have said it before and I will say it again. This company and their people truly are #1 in my book. We doubted they would be at Kaiser Vallejo Farmers Market today. Very Brave Coffee - Friendly staff, great drinks, will return - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Fairfield, California

I have been wanting to try their drinks for a while and decided to stop by before work. They open at 9 and unfortunately, it wasn't a quick trip as I hoped. There is plenty of parking around in the shared lot. The store itself cute with a few tables inside and out. There were two people in front of me but the line was quick. I asked if they had drink carriers, but they didn't. I wanted to order more so instead I just ordered two drinks. 12oz of the very ube latte and the ube matcha. The guy who was taking my order asked if both were for me. Never felt so judged lol jk but yes, it was both for me. I had no shame. I sat at a table waiting for my order. Only one person was making drinks until there wasn't a line anymore. I realized there was a table of 4 people who were still waiting for their drinks. I was worried I would wait a while, and the two people in front of me in the line also ordered more than 2 drinks. I waited over 35 minutes for my order. Some advice, never come if you have somewhere to be. The employees were nice and communicated about my order. They were also apologetic for the wait. Just another reason to come back and taste more drinks. I have to say that the coffee is strong just how I like it and the ube brings a nice sweetness. It was very tasty. Definitely worth coming back but it will be a challenge due to their hours. read more

Good customer service, but matcha tasted like water. The unique kinds of drinks caught my eye, but as soon as you get the drink it tastes watered down and as if I ordered a "less sugar" option. Cold foam yummy, but the drinks are disappointing for $8-9, would not get again! read more

Drinks are beautiful and you can really taste every element that they put in their drinks. Be patient as you wait for the drinks because they truly make each and every cup with care and precision. I love the flavor of the iced blush latte, the sweetness and delicate flavor from the rose syrup makes this drink a nice floral coffee drink. The iced very ube latte is ube-licious! I ask for extra ube just because it is so good. All their drinks are all worth a try so you can find your favorite.. but honestly, it's hard to pick just one. read more

Don't sleep on this coffee spot! They have various locations at Kaiser Farmers Markets throughout the week but I frequent their location within Bonito Poke in American Canyon on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. (Note: you can find their locations each week on social media) All of their drinks are amazing and perfectly crafted. You can't go wrong with any of their drinks, but my favorite is their Ohana latte because it reminds me of my favorite coffee shop in Hawaii! Go now and thank me later! read more
