I went to this café several times after we moved here because I love the interior, the vibe, and the overall atmosphere--inside and outside. It's right by a lake, which makes it even better. What eventually made me stop going is the price-to-value ratio. It honestly blows my mind to pay almost $5 for an espresso and close to $10 for a specialty drink. It doesn't taste better than Starbucks--if anything, I actually like the Starbucks espresso more, to be honest. Cute place in the new developed One Lake. Everything still feels new. It was crowded inside. They have plenty of outside tables, but this particular day was extra windy so it wasn't ideal. The cashier was the friendliest person we encountered, I didn't catch his name. He was patient and answered all the questions. They have some unique seasonal coffee drinks. Their food/snacks is kind of pricey for a coffee shop, but it comes out hot and the portion is bigger than a usual coffee shop portion. The doors to go in and out are a bit odd. You can go out several doors, but can only come back in through the sliding doors which are by tables, so I can see it potentially someone seating in front of the doors. Our coffee was hot and the chicken warp was warm and tasty. There was confusion on when our full order was ready and picking it up at the counter which was met with some unpleasant encounters from other staff. It's cool when/if you're in the area. Maybe grab a cup of coffee before doing an open house tour? But worth a special trip or detour for it? Probably not. read more

LOVE grabbing a matcha from Journey Coffee whenever I'm in the area! One of the things I do miss when I used to live around here was coming to this Journey Coffee location and getting work or studying done while sipping matcha and looking out at the lake waters. I would sometimes even take my matcha and do a nice lap around the lake when the weather was nice. Journey Coffee has a few locations but the One Lake location was always my favorite. I've tried a few of their food and drinks and all were super satisfying. If I were to have ordered food, my go-to is their Sausage, Egg, and Cheddar Sandwich. It's always packed with flavor and a good size for a breakfast sandwich. When I went in today, I didn't even need to look at the menu because I knew that I had to get their Matcha Latte sweetened and with vanilla syrup. Not sure what they do exactly with their matcha but it's just so rich and creamy and not overly sweet so you can really taste the matcha flavor. Always a must stop when in the area! read more

Arrived on Thursday around 12 and this place was slightly packed. ordered : (3/5) - earl grey matcha latte: I got this with oat milk and it tastes like Starbucks quality matcha! So if you're looking for a high quality matcha, this isn't it. But it does taste good! They have a nice earl grey syrup that sweetens up the matcha. I probably wouldn't order this again, it came out to 9.75 which is pretty more expensive than an avocado toast! The matcha was also lacking flavor and kinda chunky. I really enjoyed the earl grey addition tho! service: (4/5) The baristas made some good recommendations. However I found it really weird that the price of the drinks aren't posted on the menu on the wall nor on the printed menu. I'm not sure if that's something they still needed to work on? But I was really shocked at the price of my drink especially because there was no mentioning of added charges anywhere. vibe: (4/5) I do love the lighting in here! 5 stars just for the location and atmosphere. My husband and I made a pitstop here on our way to his dad's home and it was very nice. The parking lot has a good amount of spaces and free. There's no complaints on my end. You order your drinks at the counter then decide if you want to sit inside or outside and the weather was so nice that we opted for the outdoor seating. I've been going to Journey's whenever I visit friends here! I love the natural lighting the enters the shop and the seating area is a perfect place to study or do some work. Ambiance gets 5 stars from me. As for taste and service, I like the sandwiches more than the drinks. The coffee flavors are creative but I like more natural and fuller coffee tastes. In the photo, I tried the banana matcha which has a bit of an artificial banana taste in the cold foam which masks the matcha flavor. It's a bit too sweet to my liking. However, I do really like the lavender latte which is my go to. The floral and coffee flavors complement each other so well! read more

Such a cute little coffee shop in the middle of a housing community. There is a lot of searing area to have a coffee & snack and work or just enjoy your coffee there. Staff was very friendly got our order and then order came out quickly. I like that they have seasonal drinks as well. If you don't like coffee they also have other drinks available. Great Matcha at the One Lake Journey Coffe. Stopped by the café at One Lake in Fairfield and really enjoyed the experience. I ordered the matcha latte and it was absolutely perfect--smooth, well-balanced, and not too sweet. You could really taste the quality. My friend got an iced caramel macchiato, which was also super tasty, but they didn't ask if she wanted it sweetened. It came without sugar, and she didn't love that surprise. A quick heads-up would've made a difference. The space itself is cozy and inviting--perfect for catching up or getting some work done. The prettiest coffee shop with prettiest view! Can't believe this is tucked away in Fairfield. The parking lot is small but if you get there early, then there's no problem! There is no shortage of seating inside and outside, plus there is a beautiful trail to walk around the lake if you want to just take your coffee to go. The service was wonderful here to top it all off. I picked the Apple Chaider from their fall seasonal menu and loved it!! The cream top turned it into the most delicious apple cider. We also had their new chocolate scone which was amazing - not dry like a typical scone at all. It was rich but not too sweet, and so moist! Solid coffee shop right between Fairfield and Vacaville! They have vegan options for drinks and some vegan baked goods, but sell out pretty quickly. My go to is an iced oat milk latte and the lemon blueberry muffin. Or I try one of their seasonal drinks when it sounds good! I just always ask if the syrup has dairy or not to doublecheck. I wish they had more savory food vegan options but there is a vegan burger on the menu when they serve dinner. There's a good amount of both indoor and outdoor seating and there's WiFi, so it's my go to place to get work done on the weekdays. Centrally located within the One Lake development, the Journey Coffee cafe, attracts local residents as well as visitors. My family and I are the latter. This location would be ideal if it were not for the slow and inconsistent service. The drink order that would take my single 6th grader approximately 10 minutes to complete, took an extremely slow worker a mind numbing 30 minutes. Simply put, great location, sub-par $10 smoothies and bad service equates to a recommendation NOT to visit this establishment. This is my favorite Journey coffee spot. I'm not sure but every time I order my go to decaf iced sugar free vanilla coffee, they get it just right! The bathrooms are always so clean and the staff is friendly. I appreciate that they are locally owned and they have fair trade services. I love how they have their frequent flyer cards. I would give this place a 3.5 stars as it's a nice place to enjoy your coffee and breakfast. It's by the man-made lake and newly built houses in Fairfield/Vacaville. There were a lot of people walking their dogs and it was overall busy on a Sunday. The coffee and food were pricey. My boyfriend and I ordered a crumble coffee cake, blueberry scone, lavender cold brew, and an affogato. I really liked my blueberry scone and my boyfriend liked his coffee cake, but I felt they both would've tasted better warm. I tried my bf's lavender cold brew (he didn't put cream in his coffee) and I thought it was ok. The affogato was also ok. I've had better espresso, but the cinnamon vanilla ice cream it comes with was good. Our total came out to $22 and some change for the 2 of us. On a "site visit" with my daughter and her family who will soon be moving into the area with the Air Force. She loves local coffee shops, and we went into Journey in Fairfield on our first day in town. What a fantastic experience. The breakfast, coffee, atmosphere, and service were absolutely perfect. The next day, we decided to go to the Journey at One Lake. Same experience in a gorgeous setting. Breakfast sandwiches were fresh, expertly prepared, and delicious. We had both English muffin sandwiches and wraps. On our last night in town, we decided to go back to the One Lake location for dinner because our flight leaves too early to catch breakfast before heading to the airport. We heard this location recently started serving dinner. We highly recommend it. I had the spicy guac burger with sweet potato fries. My daughter had the BLTA on a wrap with waffle fries, and my son-in-law had the chicken fingers with waffle fries. We also had lemonade. Everything was absolutely delicious! Plus, the staff is so helpful and friendly and the patio is fabulous. Definitely will be back at the earliest opportunity. read more

Every time I visit, they're always sold out. Today, I got lucky! I couldn't wait to try this Hand Pie that I've heard so much about. I opened up the silver wrapping paper, which unveiled the beautiful Breakfast Hand Pie underneath. The first bite was crispy, flaky, and buttery. The outer crust reminded me of a croissant, soft and crispy and flaky all at the same time. Inside the buttery crust was warm eggs, sausage, sharp cheddar, hash browns, and some salsa verde. This Hand Pie is everything you would desire in a breakfast sandwich. I love how they're doing this in a pastry style crust. The lake is right across with a good open space of green grass. They have a good menu for drinks and small eats. This location for Journey Coffee is located in the One Lake community. I visited with a group of friends for an afternoon caffeine boost since I was in the area. The location is so beautiful and the vibes are exactly what I would envision for a cool, modern coffee shop. There's plenty of seating inside with lots of natural light from the giant windows that look out to the lake. Outdoor tables and seating are available as well. I ordered a cold brew with a splash of almond milk (almond and oat options available for non-diary) and ordered a decaf affogato for my husband. The affogato comes with their cinna-nilla (cinnamon vanilla) ice cream. My friends ordered a variety of drinks including smoothies, iced lattes, and iced coffees, and all of our drinks were ready within 5 minutes. While I thought my cold brew was only okay, since it tasted pretty burnt, the affogato was delicious and I would definitely recommend that between the two items we ordered.
