The breakfast sandwiches are delicious and fulfilling; which I greatly appreciate! Very often, you pay to have a sandwich and the ingredients are scarce. Most of the time tasting mostly the bread when purchasing breakfast sandwiches from other places. My husband and I were having a hard time deciding what we wanted and the lady was extremely patient with us. My drink was tasty! It was my first time having tiramisu coffee. Why am I just discovering this drink!?!? Now, I want it all the time. Places like this always have me eager to come back because there is so much more to try. My husband has to reel me in and remind me that we can't indulge in these pleasures EVERYDAY...So the next time he asks to have a coffee date, this is where I'll be.

It supported the friendly atmosphere well. Pretty chandeliers and a combination of booths and tables offered option in a space that is smaller than some of its surrounding counterparts. The menu was stellar and offered both the traditional brunch staples such as chicken and waffles and pancakes however there were surprises such as red velvet waffles or fruity pebbles pancakes/waffles along with some other exciting and unique options. I enjoyed a perfectly cooked vegetarian omlette and a hibiscus mimosa. My spouse enjoyed the traditional waffle with the potatoes, eggs and turkey sausage patty. We also had an incredibly delicious Vietnamese coffee served cold over ice. This treat was recommended by a knowledgeable and cordial bar tender when my husband noticed that the bar carried the New Orleans chickory coffee made at workd famouse Cafe du Mond. We learned that they use a variety of coffees depending upon the drink being made. The Vietnamese coffee's combination of strength and sweetness make it what all Caramel Macchiato's want to be when they grow up! However, the regular house coffee is also very good and Henry our server catered to our preference for half and half over non dairy creamer by having it prepped fresh with heavy cream and 2% milk! We were so surprised that this courtesy would be the response when most restaurants would simply say they don't carry it. This review will certainly make it seem as if we prefer coffee to mimosas, that is not true. The beautiful Vietnamese coffee drink was just so yummy that we almost forgot the mimosas. My husband's watermelon mimosa was very nice and the hibiscus mimosa was crisp and refreshing. Service here should make surrounding venues nervous because this restaurant does not use busy crowds as an excuse for tired lackadaisical substandard service. They greeted everyone that entered as if they were an old friend. We noticed the way the team supported one and other to ensure good service as crowd thickened. We will definitely be back and have already told family and friends! Unfortunately we only have pictures of our food after we had eaten half but even that is worth sharing!

She was cut mid-way during our meal and came over to let us know and introduce who was taking over. The other young lady that took over was also stellar! They were both attentive. The food came out hot and fresh and all at once. The people running the food were also very polite. The restaurant was clean and there was no wait. I also appreciated how they had photos of some items on the menu. We had someone with us who has communication issues and them being able to point to a photo of what they wanted was really special instead of trying to guess what they might like.

I'm not too sure Mimi would be all that pleased with the honor, a watered down American version of who she was and her culinary talents. Walking into the interior is like being catapulted back to the 1970s. These theme restaurants always seem dated. There's a series of rooms that sort of look like a French bistro or New Orleans cafe. It's a bit uncertain and schizophrenic. A whole lot going on and not that cohesive. The booths and seating are comfy enough and they afford some nice privacy compared to a huge dining room space. Coming into Mimi's is like walking into a time warp. It feels like a bygone era. Although not much different than some current day establishments it doesn't have the same vibe. It's dated. The plastic menu is broad enough with many choices to satisfy most mainstream palates. Sandwiches, burgers, salads, etc., plus a number of dinner type items. I ordered a French Quarter Burger, which comes on toasted bread and nice things like avacado. I have no idea how it relates to the French Quarter, other than possibly the phony decor, but OK it caught my attention nonetheless. I did expect some spiciness, perhaps a stretch as it didn't have any. I got my meal with iced tea. The burger was good and didn't fall apart in my hands which happens all to often these days with soggy burgers at most places. I got it with fries which were good too, similar style to string type and made well. Mimi's is about volume, a large portion a la Applebee's and the like. Prices aren't outrageous and the amount of food per plate should satisfy anyone. Service was excellent, cordial and very attentive. I had to wonder if that was the culture there or they got the memo about all the closures. Whatever, they were great. I guess overall it was just OK as an experience. I'm not certain I'd seek it out when so many alternatives exist. Just look around the parking lot. Many food emporiums to choose from. However, this review is for the service at the bar which I genuinely hope management takes into account for future events. There was a complete lack of organization. My friends and I filled a space at the bar as previous customers left. One of the young female servers took our drink order and said she would make sure the bartender saw. Drinks came out on the bar with receipts but while I was checking, one of the workers asked if they were for upstairs. The bartender replied, "I have no idea". After 5-10 minutes of waiting and checking, I noticed that everyone behind us had already received their drink. I notified another server about our issue and he was ready to fix it for us. However, our previous server noticed we were mentioning something and told her coworker the order was already in. She proceeds to tell us our drinks will be right out. She "checks" at least two more times to see if our drinks are ready. By "check", I mean that she only looked over from afar--she didn't actually go up to the bartender to make sure our drinks were next. At this point me and my friends were frustrated from seeing two rounds of other people receive drinks. We canceled our order with a different server because ours had zero initiative. I enjoy coming here--please do better for your employees and customers.
