On the door it says open until 7pm but on Yelp it says closes at 5:30pm. I came here excited for an acai bowl! I asked to add extra ice so the acai was thick, because typically places make them soup-y. The cashier said she'll just add less juice so it's more thick, awesome ok. I get the bowl and as soon as I pick it up the content inside swishes around like soup. The 3 strawberries were not even cut? They were just whole, frozen strawberries. But for the fresas con crema we got, strawberries looked more fresh and were sliced :( Ok back to the acai bowl, the granola was just a skinny sliver. Maybe like 5% of the bowl on the top. The overall taste of the bowl was just not there. I'm so sad it wasn't that great but I get it, the bowls aren't their specialty and they just opened with new hires. I ended up going back inside and asking them to just blend it all and put it into a cup. They already knew I was asking for that because it was sooo soup-y and not thick at all. Just a warning for my acai bowl lovers. I'm sure everything else here is good but I'm going to come back after they get more experience. The owner was so incredibly sweet. She helped me decide on mixed ceviche and a fruit cocktail. She asked about the spice level I'd like, if I wanted mango in the ceviche, and toppings for the fruit. The portions are huge! It's seriously enough for 2-3 people to share. Lots of shrimp and octopus in the ceviche. Everything was prepared fresh after I ordered it. Very cute and clean. They had a TV in the corner playing a new Netflix show. I'll come back to try the elote or raspados. Definitely give this place a try if you like seafood!

The lady who took our order was so sweet and patient while she explained the different sizes and pricing for the trays. Her two other colleagues were in the back working quickly to get our order and the previous order ready. You could see how they were preparing everything in the kitchen, so you know everything was super fresh! A half tray of shrimp ceviche cost us about $100, which may seem on the pricier side, but honestly so worth it and you get a pretty good amount of shrimp in it! Didn't get to try the octopus ceviche but from what my cousin told me, it was just as delicious. Botanas La Cruda has such a variety of delicious menu items, it's so hard to choose what to get! Obviously, you can't go wrong with any of their ceviches. I also really love their bionico if you're looking for something sweet. They have elote which is classic and always tasty! And just personal preference, I love tostillocos, so you can never go wrong with an order of that. The restaurant is pretty small, but it's decorated really cute inside. There are a couple tables set up both inside and outside, and you can seat around 2-3 people at each one. They share a small parking lot with Bula Pies, but there's usually plenty of spaces available there or next door at 7-Eleven. They're natural and each ingredient is intentional in keeping the body healthy. What I love about their service are the friendly staff and juice samples. Today, I got the Da Treat-- my sister's favorite. For my cold, I got Gimme A Beet-- beet, celery, carrot, turmeric, ginger, lemon. I asked Hayden, who's welcoming and easy to talk to, to recommend the best juice to fight a cold. She said anything with turmeric and ginger. I sampled Gimme A Beet. It was sweet with the right amount of kick, which will come out of nowhere. Thank you, ginger. For the free elixir, I chose Peace Up. I could have brought it home or have the shot there. I chose to have it there. Lowkey regret it though because its kicked effed me up for a bit. I had to sip that baby slowly. I asked for water after I finished it. This was worth it. All my mucus from my nose started loosening up. It did its job. This is a cute spot. It's meant to buy and go. There's a bench inside to wait or chill for a bit.
