I've been coming here for a decade and their quality has only improved. The cafe is now larger and a little more modern but they still left a touch of the aviation theme that started their journey. There is now a Tesla Supercharger so navigate to that instead of the cafe so that your Tesla preconditions while you enjoy your morning. They no longer support their own app and have turned the keys over to Square to create an account to make it easier to pay and reorder. The ready times you get in the app are later than it's usually ready so I recommend giving them 10-20 minutes lead time. Here's my rating of the variety of foods and drinks I've tried. Undertow - 8 - Fun twist on a cortado as the half and half is cold and they add a splash of vanilla. The hot espresso is carefully floated on top of the milk so that when you drink you feel the cold "underflow" of vanilla milk. Cortado- 8 - Small but powerful sip of espresso. I prefer it with half and half and a touch of sugar over Journey's method but it is a tasty sip. Lavender Latte - -10 - the best version of a lavender latte you'll ever have. Cherry Blossom Latte - 9 - The cherry syrup is very forward but blends nicely into the latte which gives it light finish. The coffee does get a touch lost so add an extra shot. Citrus Cocoa Latte - 9 - The orange syrup is prevalent throughout the drink but the cocoa starts to stand up more the last half of the drink. I don't prefer chocolate drinks but this doesn't taste like a mocha at all. Very well done Journey!!! Veggie n Egg Breakfast Wrap - 7 - Light and flavorful but needs some pop from another ingredient. I recommend using the Tapatio hit sauce to elevate it above our 7 rating for those that want some pop of flavor and can handle spice. Breakfast Hand Pie - 6 - The pastry wasn't crispy but it did have some crispy seeds on it to save the texture, a bit gummy for my liking. The filling was also creamy with more cheese than needed (and I love cheese). Although good, I wouldn't get it again because the flavor of the filling fell flat. First Class Wrap - 10 - If you can handle spice, the chipotle sauce is amazing amidst the variety of ingredients. This is my go-to and everybody I introduce it to gets it as well. Every business partner I've introduced this right off the freeway coffee stop has loved and kept as their own. It's a no brainer if you're headed down I-80. read more

Really loved Journey Coffee. I came in on a Saturday afternoon just wanting a place to drink coffee and read, and this spot was perfect. Super chill, calm vibes, and mellow/lofi music. Easy to relax and hang out for a while. I had a pour-over medium roast and it was delicious. Big plus that they also offer food if you want a bite. The staff was really friendly and took the time to explain the different coffee roasts they offered for the pour overs. I also noticed they offered international coffee and can be purchased, as well as merch. They serve drinks in mugs if you ask, which I always appreciate. There's outdoor seating and a private meeting/study space you can reserve, great if you need something quieter or meetings. Overall, a solid spot for coffee, studying, or just vibing with a book. I enjoyed visiting any of the Journey Coffee. Upon entry you walk into an area of mixed table areas and chairs near the windows. I was able to place my order with ease. It didn't take to long before it was ready which was great. Even though my Avocado toast had pickled onions and sprouts that I didn't ask for, I picked them off and ate the sandwich. Ordered a mint matcha latte and breakfast hand pie. They were out of the mint syrup so they gave me choices for alternatives. I went with the vanilla. They also have your choice of dairy alternatives. The vanilla matcha latte was delicious and cute latte art too! The hand pie was very filling. Very savory but a touch on the salty side. It was served wrapped in foil and warm. Service was friendly and quick. The ambiance/decor is industrial but trendy. Think dark metal and wood but still cozy. It looks like there is some construction so they no longer have the nice covered patio with large table on the side. But there is still outside seating along the sidewalk with bistro sets, string lights, and modern looking seating. It would be nice if they put in some shade cover for that. My partner ordered a plain coffee. For him it was a bit acidic. So your experience may vary based on what you order. read more

We stopped by while on the road and enjoyed some lattes & while we were ordering the non-vegan baked goods looked delicious so we randomly asked if by any chance they had vegan ones and they did. Haven't been here in many years, but it was a lot better than I remembered! It's an easy stop right off of the freeway if you're passing through. They had a seasonal menu available so we tried two of their seasonal drinks, and I hope they'll add them to the menu permanently! The cookies and cream latte has that aftertaste of Oreo cookies but you can still get the coffee flavor first and foremost. The minty matcha was delicious as a hot drink, and it was perfectly balanced between mint flavor and the earthy matcha! I was a bit nervous about the mint and matcha combo but it totally worked. I placed an order through the app and it was easy and convenient. I was headed to an event that morning and wanted coffee and food for the day. I ordered yogurt, a grown up grilled cheese and a breakfast hand pie. The prices are on the higher end but I rarely come to Journey. The food quality is excellent though. Their drinks are always good. The yogurt was delicious, the grilled cheese was good and the hand pie was bigger than my hand and very flavorful. I opted for curbside pick up but there weren't any designated spots. I decided to go in the store and pick up my items which were ready when I arrived. The store has plenty of parking, is spacious and the employees are always so friendly. I haven't been to their downtown location yet but definitely been to their other locations. I drove home and opened it up to eat it and was just disgusted to see lettuce stems on there and when I pulled it off to look at the rest, omg, the bacon is dead. I do like my bacon cooked but not burnt. She asked if I wanted avocado and I said yes. Normally you get sliced. Not here. They smear a thin coating and the thinnest tomato. Then the bread, they use the cheapest quality of bread I've ever eaten. It's supposed to be sour dough. No way. It was so light and airy like cheap crap. When you bite into it almost disappears in your mouth. What a joke. I will never walk foot in that place again. A tea and that disgusting sandwich was $18.83. Done with this place. I've never had Journey Coffee before, and decided to stop by before work for coffee. I journeyed my way over to get some Friyay razzle dazzle in a cup! :) I was going to get a chocolate peanut butter smoothie elsewhere. I changed my mind once I saw on their menu that they also sell smoothies. There was only 2 people in line..which I absolutely love! It actually moved pretty quick and I was at the counter in less than 3 minutes. I ordered an iced lavender latte (with oatmilk) and the Epic Journey smoothie (peanut butter, cocoa powder, cacao powder, chocolate plant protein, msple syrup, almond milk; added honey). I enjoyed the lavender latte. I couldn't taste the lavender the first few sips, then it infused more after stirring my drink. Their roast is so good! The Epic Journey smoothie was so delicious! It was better than expected! It tasted more authentic compared to buying something similar at a chain smoothie store. I didn't wait long for the lavender latte. It was a longer wait for the smoothie...but, it was worth every scent and the wait! That's gonna be my new Friday AM treat!!! The cashier was all smiles early morning! The ladies behind the counter (girl powerrrrr!!) were quick and efficient getting those drinks out! The cafe was spacious and only had 1 occupied table. There's also patio seating. I had the dark roast drip coffee and it wasn't bad. Love that it was hot! Not my favorite coffee shop in terms of coffee flavor but I was near Journey and decided to stop. Interacted with 2 female staff (both at the register) who were very friendly and sweet. I believe I paid approximately $3.50 for 12 oz of drip coffee (black) which seems a little expensive.
