What eventually made me stop going is the price-to-value ratio. It honestly blows my mind to pay almost $5 for an espresso and close to $10 for a specialty drink. It doesn't taste better than Starbucks--if anything, I actually like the Starbucks espresso more, to be honest. The staff is always super friendly, but for me it's just not worth the money.

They are always smiling and have an amazing positive energy along with everyone else that I've come across (I am here a lot!) My husband jokes about me not needing coffee, but wanting to see everyone (we're not going to tell him that he's right, but he is! I look forward to my morning coffee and every in between throughout my day.) So much so that we joke that I work there without me really working there. These amazing people keep my day going and it's something I look forward to. Being able share a laugh together and ask about their day and then catching up as if no time has passed between us. So thank you Fairfield Dutch Bros, thank you for being my sunshine on a rainy day. But... The Beautiful Souls that work at this location are truly the brightest spot of many of my days! I am an energy person who appreciates honest, good folks and all of the staff at this DB's is exactly that! The personalities of these lovely people aren't 'overly' friendly where it feels fake, they are real people who are providing a service that I am sure most of us appreciate - if you don't maybe its the drink choice or maybe the Dutch aint for you LOL. I have adopted every one of my DB faces, and though I have a few frequent faces I see more often than others, I have a genuine love for all the people standing in extreme heat/cold, taking our orders and sending us off on our way a little better than when we pulled in. The ladies behind the counter, Wilma and Anne, were so nice, welcoming, and took the time to explain the menu options to me. I liked how they were able to adjust the spice level to my liking. When I took a bite of the chicken, the spice was just right. I also appreciated how they let me sample the rice cake Anne made. It was a warm and tasty hand-sized bibingka. I added extra butter on the rice cake when I got home and it made it even tastier. I ordered the peri peri chicken with garlic rice and their house-made pickled cucumbers and red onions ($13). I received 2 big skinless, boneless grilled chicken thighs with basmati garlic rice and the pickled veggies on the side. The whole meal was so big! I thought I could finish it all in one sitting, but the bibingka must've made me too full to eat it all. So I saved the other half for later. Everything went well together and the chicken was so flavorful and juicy. You could taste the love, effort, and quality ingredients in the meal. On my previous visits, the food was prepared by the owner or their family members, and the sandwiches were excellent--high quality and generously filled. Lately, it seems a younger employee is making the sandwiches, and they are not being prepared correctly. I understand the economy is tough, but when customers spend their hard-earned money to support a local business and treat themselves, they shouldn't be consistently dissatisfied. Today, I ordered a pesto sandwich and a smoked turkey sandwich, specifically paying extra for additional meat because I had noticed a trend of skimpy portions. Unfortunately, as you can see in the comparison photos, both arrived with barely any meat at all. I actually called the restaurant to address this. The young man on the phone sounded embarrassed but told me there was nothing he could do and instructed me to contact DoorDash. I am sharing this--along with the side-by-side photos of how great the pesto sandwich used to be versus what is being made now--in the sincere hope that it helps the management improve their standards rather than discourage them. For the Mellow Marsh, they toast a marshmallow that not only looks cool but gives the drink a little "sitting by the campfire" vibe. The Fairfield Fog was very sweet and fruity. Definitely would order again. The brewery also has a stage for live entertainment and a few pinball machines. The brewery is located in a strip mall with plenty of shops and restaurants. When I was here, the Maine Lobster food truck was outside. Who doesn't love a good lobster roll with their drink? That's a win in my book.
